Hi I am a 12 year old girl my dream is to be a rapper and a dancer I have had TikTok ever since it was musically and it has not gave me the amount of dancing I need to become a hip hop dancer I have looked at so many games and videos and also apps nothing helped so I decided to look again and I came across this app! I was signing in and I was super excited I did the first 2 videos and was already becoming better💗 I did a dance and everyone thought I looked ridiculous I also thought the same I dance in the mirror and wonder why I dance like this but when I was doing more my mom walked in in me doing this and decided to watch me she said I had a big improvement and I only watched 2 videos this app is SO recommended if I blow up I will for sure shout out this app I love this app and feel like I will become something 🤧
I love love love this app! I remember when I was younger and I went to a few dance studios but felt embarrassed and self-conscious about not being as flexible/cool and inability to pick up choreography as quick as others. With STEEZY, you can build the blocks at your own pace and adjust speed, loop and repeat, and switch views to see all angles (much needed for someone not coordinated like me 😅). I’ve been exercising daily with different dance workout and learning choreography at home and I am sooo sooo in love! It has such a good variety of styles to choose from. The instructors are cool! I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants learn dancing!
I really like Steezy, I've been following their content for a few years now. I've previously used the program online with my laptop and it's fairly easy to navigate and find what I'm looking for. The mobile app is good but is a little clunky when using the search function sometimes. The main issue I have is when I airplay from my phone to my tv. I prefer to use my tv to learn dance since it's easier to see but I get frustrated when a lot of the classes I've taken have a delay between the audio and the video. It's hard to follow along when a teacher says they're on a new 8-count but their body is still moving to the last one. I've tried reloading the class, the app, and restarting my wifi. Nothing works. I will just stick to using my laptop to take the classes.
This is an excellent concept. I love the classes that help with isolating specific moves, as well as the full dance learning classes. Using this as a gym substitute for workouts and such is not really the shining point, though there are aspects here and there that could be improved upon. It may just be my internet, but this app was terrible for streaming the classes, with choppy lag times and poor resolution. There was also a little bit of “low budget-esque” to the individual videos that spoke of experienced dancers but ultimately new trainers just breaking into this platform and poor editing on the backend (e.g. loose shoe ties, stumbles over words to say). Regardless, I honestly am rooting for them. I hope that it takes off capital wise to provide the technical bandwidth and layouts needed to pull this business into Les Mills or Nike training level of online quality long-term.
Let me start out by saying the service itself is fine. It wasn’t for me, but there is nothing wrong with the videos themselves. HOWEVER, I cancelled after one month. I even got emailed confirmation that I cancelled. They have continued to charge me (for three months) and customer service has not helped me. I have not gotten a straight answer and I can no longer get customer service to respond. At this point, I am going to have to get a new debit card to stop them from charging me and I will be out the three months I tried to be nice and let them solve it. It’s not worth it. UPDATE: After multiple messages to customer service, I have finally gotten a response and a full refund for the months I should not have been charged. Due to that, I am upping my review to two stars. However, I am not raising it any higher because I sent customer service multiple emails over a two month period to get this refund.
Wanted to learn dancing but instead I got nothing..
I love dancing and still am in the process of learning but it looks like every time I try to subscribe, it does not unlock any of the classes and just takes my money. I’ve tried several times to make a purchase because I really wanted the app to work but every time I try to subscribe it says there’s an error with the subscription, and it takes my money without ever getting the things it claimed I was getting. I tried to talk it out with customer service, showing the payment and how I was not able to unlock the classes but was met with the same issue, and had to take it up with apple. I can only ask for a refund so many times from apple until they start rejecting my refund. I’ve paid for my service and there is no indication of receiving the service or getting a refund. I don’t know if I’m the only one who is experiencing the same thing.
I was initially very excited about this app, but it hasn’t worked well for me at all. There are lots of bugs that need to be worked out. First off, I’ve only seen iPhone and iPad versions of the app. I don’t have an iPad, but I do have Apple TV which would be the ideal platform learning to dance following a phone or iPad screen has its obvious limitations. I’ve tried casting both to my smart TV and my Apple TV but there are issues. For whatever reason, the screen I’m seeing in my phone isn’t what’s cast and what’s cast tends to be the reverse view of the classes. That’s workable but I much prefer seeing the instructors facing me. It’s an odd bug, but one I COULD live with, but the other big problem is that often when the app loads a routine or program, you get the spinning wheel of death, the app freezes and has to be restarted...and even then it often won’t load.
First impression of this app is great! I’ve been wanting to get into dance for awhile now so this really helps, I like that the videos are easy to follow and are at good pace, the only thing that bugs me though is trying to get the videos to start. When I want to start a class I would get a black screen that would load forever and, when it eventually does start to stream the video quality is bit pixelated and would occasionally freeze. Playing it the first time all the way through it doesn’t seem to lag but when I want to go back to a certain part it would just load or start lagging which is annoying once you get a rhythm going. Not sure if the desktop version is better but I might switch there if the app continues like this.
I’ve been a sucker for dance exercises since I can remember. Latin with Lisa dvds, Zumba classes, or just plain wishing I could do college over again to take a dance class. Classic hip hop and more “alternative” dances are taught with this app…no tutu required. I can spend my quarantine days doing something I enjoy and it’s taught really well. Like you cannot fall behind or be limited with your view of the instructors. Since I’ve started this app, google ads have been hounding me with other dance programs, but this one takes the cake. It’s so well produced, why would I want to do anything else??
The videos have good instruction but there are a ton of unstable bugs in the app. After finishing a video series I get stuck on the video rating. Even after rating the video I can’t leave I have to terminate the app. Also my taps to leave videos don’t work even though I’m tapping on the X. Despite taking numerous classes the time counter for how much I’ve been practicing is stuck at 0. Also after watching a video i have to manually mark it as complete instead of it being automatic. And the worst bug of all, there seems to be no rhyme or reason when the video instruction is stuck in portrait or landscape mode. Rotating the phone does nothing. I want my videos to be in landscape not portrait. And yes I ensured my portrait lock is not enabled on my phone.
I am 14 years old and while I do have experience in dance, I want to expand it more. I’m very into KPOP and groups like BTS have inspired me to want to go further with my dancing potential!! I’ve already mastered a few routines like HYLT, Dope, Playing with Fire, and Wannabe. I saw a few ads for this so I downloaded it and I wasn’t disappointed. The videos are great as well as the features. If you are reading this review, I recommend you try this app out because in my honest opinion and from my experience, it is great. 99% of my experience has been great, but there’s some kind of bug on the mobile app that i’ve just noticed: the app immediately closes when I try to add classes to my schedule. I tried going to the specific day then adding the class, AND I tried searching the class first then adding it to a specific day; both times it crashed just the same. I don’t have this problem on the desktop. Hopefully this can be fixed because scheduling on my mobile is SO convenient. Started dancing two weeks ago for the first time in my 23 years of life— something about moving my body without being insecure, its the most freeing thing. Don’t think i’d ever learn how to dance as easily as with Steezy’s programs and classes. Thanks for the amazing content and service and especially sharing this passion with me and others who might not have known how good it feels.
I love this app very very much! It's th best dance app out there!!! I've downloaded a lit and this one is the best😌 but I didn't give it 5 stars for one reason: there should be more unlocked without premium. Yes there is some unlocked without premium and if there wasn't some of those good ones I would be giving this game like 3 stars. Please just make a few more unlocked or do like watch an add for one or do like just today these ones are unlocked. Also I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE how there are no adds!!! 😍😍😍😍 also the instructors are AMAZING! I LOVE THEM! other wise then that problem THIS APP IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!
I’ve learned multiple styles of dance throughout the years and have been dedicated to breaking for 21 years. Always wanted to focus on different styles, especially popping, locking, and choreo, and STEEZY is coming through. It’s been extremely helpful in bringing me insight on different styles, steps, and rhythms that i can incorporate into my breaking and freestyling. Some of the routines are dope workouts. Tons of content. The mentors have good vibes. Definitely beginner friendly, and of great benefit to those who may love dancing, but have never trained in any discipline. Respect to the STEEZY team.
I’m a professional dancer and teacher and fell in love with Steezy over quarantine. Great classes with awesome instructors. Overall great content. Would love to see: - a way to rate individual classes or provide feedback on individual classes. - There were a couple of follow alongs i did that were a little awkward in terms of how the instructor approached introducing new/next steps. Would like to know if there is a formula or guide instructors are given for different class types or if instructors are free to teach as they please. - for social dances and grooves, it would be cool to see city of origin/creator credits in the description. I feel like those creds are the first thing to get lost when movements get popular on TikTok, etc. I know the instructors typically discuss background for a movement in the class but I think it would be helpful to reinforce the information somewhere.
You know how you sign up for a free trial, forget to cancel it, and begrudgingly pay for a month? This isn’t that app. The price point seems a little steep, but the experience is thorough. My favorite features are the mirrored option (I confuse my left and my right; not having to think about it is bomb). The loop option is also amazing! It allows you to select a portion of video and play it on loop until you can do that series of moves without crashing into the floor. Or wall. Anyway. BIG FAN.
There are some bugs on the STEEZY app, like how it crashes randomly or it takes a second to remember that I’ve already longed in, but I highly recommend it. It’s great for dancers that can’t find the time to fit in a dance class to their schedules, want to learn a new style/move, or have a free hour in their day. STEEZY is the BEST (but it would be really cool if there were subtitles on some classes for Spanish speakers, as I know many who would invest in this app but can’t get the best out of the classes).
I’ve been working on a solo for three years now and had struggled to make it (it starts with hip hop and goes into modern). Until I started watching your videos and learning about concepts, textures, rhythm/beats, etc, I was lost for the most part. Because of STEEZY and its in-depth teachings and endless knowledge, I’ve been able to add moves that fit perfectly and aren’t typical run-of-the-mill. Thank you so much for helping me achieve my dream!
With so much pent up emotional energy over the last year, dancing with this app has felt like such a release already. I really didn’t realize how a lack of dance in my life had been affecting my mood. I’m already dancing with this app first thing every morning and there’s really no way I can do it without smiling. Love this app, the instructors and music choices, and highly recommend for a good sweat session/confidence building!
I really love to dance but I wasn’t allowed dancing because I hurt my knee, so randomly I just wanted a dance app and I came across this app. This app is so fun. You don’t have to pay ,unless you want extra stuff, and it literally teaches you everything I just love it so much. There even people Instructing you and helping you along the way. I have become a much better dancer because of this app.
I can’t get this app to work without a computer or my phone
I have gone out and bought both the fire stick and not chrome cast so I can use this app and take these clases. I even bought a smart tv to make it happen. I really really like what you guys are offering but I can not get this to work without a computer. Is there a Roku app y’all have built to make this easier?
So thankful for this! Great range od classes, instructors, styles and the UX of the app is so flawless, I am just amazed with this user experience. So easy to pause, fast forward, loop the part of the video I want to repeat and practice over and over and the front/back view is THE most helpful option ever! Looking forward to see some more contemporary and hopefully floorwork classes. Maybe even frame up? Good @%$^! job!
For the advanced dancer when there’s no classes around
I have found this app super helpful because there are no dance classes that are suited for advanced adults in my area, and i get to learn so many different styles I’ve always wanted to. Just took a ballet barre class and going to take a popping class! Just do it, you wont regret. You’ll only regret not doing it.
Good for learning to dance been thinking about getting a membership. Except every time I either pause, fast forward, or rewind the video it always takes me back to certain time like 7 rings by Sabrina Belen it always takes me back to either 5:15 or 9:55. Which is supper frustrating especially if I’m 2 or 3 minutes ahead and I have to rewatch that whole section just to get back to my spot.
App wise, it’s a little clunky. There’s no good search and it’s hard to navigate to specific teachers classes quickly. No favoriting teachers or searching by song makes it pretty difficult. The rotate seems to have intermittent problems. Content wise, the classes would be totally worthy of the subscription but you will quickly not use it due to the copyright issues. So many of the songs have the audio pulled. It’s hard to even remotely recommend this app in its current state. Don’t download until this changes
I very rarely write reviews, but I thought I should express how impressed I was with this app. If you are like me and want to learn to dance, but do not want to take one-on-one classes with an instructor, this is the right app for you. It gives you a personalized experience right in your home, and without the fear of a real-life instructor. Although it is a little pricey, if you truly want to learn dance, it is worth it.
Love the courses but takes way too long to load videos
I like how this app makes dances courses accessible for ppl who can’t get courses in person, and the price is affordable for all those different styles. But the videos just takes way too much to load and I experience difficulties streaming most of the videos. I really hope the developers could improve on that aspect.
The app never keeps me signed in as a member so every time I want to watch a class that is not free it makes me go through the signup process and glitches and bring me back to homepage. I love the content but the app is so frustrating to use sometimes due to its glitches. On my ipad sometimes the app doesn’t even open for like 5 full minutes and then glitches 10 times after that.
I was charged today for yearly subscription and app still doesn’t allow me to take class. I even logged on pc and same problem. Apple Pay has a problem with payment, it takes a while to proceed. Anyway, after some time I got an access, but it was a major stress. About dance classes- the app has a lot of cool choreography and I’m glad that this app has so many variations in styles.
This is absolutely amazing. They give you the option to turn mirror on/off and switch to the back camera to follow behind like your actually in the studio. The way they use technology in this app is amazing. I’m beyond grateful for this. It’s not just for games; you can really strengthen your technique and skills with this app. Thank you so much!! Very few videos have any sound to them. Steezy is unwilling to pay or negotiate music contracts so all sound and music is gone from most videos. Meaning not only do they not have music to dance to, but the video actually cuts out the instructors directions as well. You literally just have a silent video of people doing some dance steps but no idea what’s going on. Very disappointing and I wish desperately Steezy approved my refund because I didn’t know half their service was unavailable before subscribing. They hide it from you until they get your money :)
I just want to say this. I’m a recovering dancer (I was in a car accident this past September) and I was out from dancing due to my back. I lost my touch and ever since then I haven’t danced like I used to. But this app man let me tell you, I’m excited for it. I’m trying to become a professional myself, and I hope one day to achieve that goal. I’m ready for the journey ahead :). Thank you guys!
I’ve only done a few lessons and sweating already! Just now started playing with the different features too, this app is dope!! Switch life up and Do a few lessons in the am instead of going to the gym. Hear new music, have fun in front of your mirror with the instructors, put on some cool dance gear and Have a Party 😂❤️!!! So I downloaded this app I was so happy but then I JUST got in payment come on every single class is a pay it’s just some of David lee class are some of them are free but you everything is money I was getting so good:( no not anymore so pls lower the PAYMENTS it’s like the whole happy is money and come a payment $100 man that’s rigged so ya hope you read mine and if other people wrote about the same topic read it too instead of paying that much we can go to real class:(((((
The app isn’t working on my new IPad. The schedule shows as just blank classes and the UI is stuck in portrait mode. If I try to add classes to the schedule nothing happens. If I try to play the blank classes nothing happens either. The website also does not seem to be working because it just keeps asking me to refresh. Disappointed because the website at least used to work but I haven’t tried it in more than a month and since then it has become unusable.
The only way to watch any video is on the computer! The classes are great if you’re able to get in front of a computer but if you’re trying to utilize this app on any other device, it will not work! I’m not just talking about if you only have a free trial, I mean even for those paying members. I just spent $100 for a year subscription which is a TOTAL loss because the only time I’m sitting in front of a computer is at work... and I can’t jump up to practice there... smh! Not sure why they haven’t fixed it and all these complaints have BEEN posted!

I’m grateful for this app because I didn’t dance much growing up, and I’m also embarrassed learning out in public. I’m free to learn from experts without fear of looking stupid, by myself. I’ve only watched a few videos but already I am very excited at the prospect of learning how to move my body and look good at the same time. Thank you.
Performance should be a main focus moving forward — it’s the worst when it takes more than 10-15 seconds to load a section of a class when I’m viewing from my phone (which is already a less than ideal situation). The UX is great for now and I appreciate the work put into that aspect.
Accidentally signed on for a year, tried to cancel or at least get a prorated discount. I sent multiple emails to customer support and never heard anything back. The app works well, the classes are good, but I wouldnt recommend this app to anyone because you cant use this on a Roku or Cast to a device which is totally terrible- I am only able to watch these videos on my iphone which is too tiny and nearly impossible to keep up with when you’re trying to dance.
I’ve just started this dancing app today and I am literally WAY BETTER THAN I WAS BEFORE!!! And it’s amazing how I don’t have to pay for it like other apps! Although there is one suggestion, don’t use bad words in all the videos please. I’m 9 years old and I don’t want my little brother hearing bad words!!!!!
I’ve been paying for this app for about a year. It was great at first and I really enjoyed it. Ever since one of the updates it’s impossible to use the app. Its constantly crashing and kicking me off. I can’t watch anything or take any classes because it crashes. If they fixed it I might subscribe again. :/
The bugs are consistant: you pause the video, the app closes. You stream it to your tv, the phone screen goes black and stops streaming. This is a premium cost for an app that delivers great content on a terrible platform. They need an Apple TV app to make this worth it, because streaming it to your TV is the WORST experience of all of my “cast to tv” apps. Genuinely sad that the experience is this terrible for content that costs $120 up front.
I want to love this app, but two of its most promising functions (above) hardly ever work. As soon as I select a section to loop and return to the video, the video plays from the beginning with looping displayed as “off.” Also, mirror doesn’t function as a toggling between front and back views; if you switch the view, the video plays from a different time stamp altogether. So close!
So disappointed as I wanted this to work out. No AirPlay support and the Chromecast casting is buggy and awful. My phone keeps exiting out of the class media player, so I have to reload the player every time I want to rewatch a move (aka every few minutes). Half the time this causes the class to start over from the beginning, and the slider to skip to a different part is totally unresponsive, so I can’t even return to where I was. Gave up on even finishing my first class.
Literally just started the free trial, but I’ll update more with time. I’ve wanted to learn break dancing for a while and taken a couple classes at studios. But I’ve been the most awkward dancer and stuck in my head. I just did Day 1, and I’ve realized I actually have rhythm and can move my body well, if I have some direction.
I started with the basic dance class. Really Liked it and did the first 3 sessions and wanted to get to the 4th. It never went to it and there seemed to be no way to click or swipe or scroll to it. It was extremely frustrating. I use Glo for yoga and I have never had a problem finding anything. I tried doing lesson 3 again because the guy SAYS lesson 4 will be next etc. But it was never possible. Some other thing came on. When I received a help email it said to use a desktop or laptop. Don’t have one. So I’m canceling.
I like the programs on here, but the app has been kinda buggy since sometimes the videos don’t open properly or if I try to click on the about section of a course, the app just freezes
I absolutely love this app. It has given me the feeling of taking class in a studio. BUT the app on my phone always freezes when signing into my account through FB that there are multiple times when i can’t even use it. I have tried closing out the app etc. it’s so frustrating when you are all ready to dance and then it doesn’t work! I hope this can be fixed.
