I was going to donate blood and found my points missing from a past donation. They told me it was because points expire after the beginning of the next year. I asked if my blood expired. They said no. I then inquired: “Then why do my points?” Asked to be taken off program. It’s not like they don’t receive funds for my blood. There is a lot of profit in non-profit.
When I saw the two rating on this app, I figured it had to be an exaggeration by disgruntled people with the operation of the app and getting your rewards points. But once I got into it, I saw exactly what the problems were. This app tends to not allow you to do some simple tasks. I can’t even change my address, which is almost 10 years old. it makes you think that it’s mailing out a gift card to your old address. When I saw that I called and got into an automated system that said they would call me back in 2 to 3 days. By that time my card would’ve been mailed out. I wasn’t even aware that you could electronically redeem the card until after I called and looked a little deeper and saw that the card wasn’t actually being mailed out to my old address like it appeared. there is also a little work of not being able to sign in when you’re auto filled by many of the password programs. You actually have to go onto the password field and type of space for the entry bar to be activated. Seems like somebody was asleep at the wheel when they created this app.
This app has a lot of great features to track your donations, vital signs, and you can order stuff with your points. Sometimes the pages do not load. The app can be kind of slow to respond when going through certain menus. I feel like a couple of the menus could be combined. Also, face ID doesn’t really work with unlocking the app. The avatar/profile picture is skewed. It would also be great to be able to tell what level of platelet donor you are from the app. I hope this feedback helps make the app even better.
I wrote a review detailing every problem I’ve had with this app hoping it illicit a response to help and the review didn’t show. I’ve completed a form for assistance two times, and I’ve called the number that was listed on the app for TBC and left two voicemails. Unfortunately, I can not get any kind of response. I thought this would be a good valid app because I was given the card about it when I donated this past Monday, but now I am questioning that with the problems people are having and for some reason, it the latest review was a little while ago.
Others have said that appointments cannot be canceled or changed in the app. I haven’t needed to do that, but I find the app helpful … once I can log in. The app’s log-in doesn’t work with 1Password or the iCloud Keychain. Whenever I try to log in using either of those, the app says “invalid credentials.” I can either type in the exact same password or copy-and-paste the password from 1Password and that works. Frustrating, irritating, maddening.
Finally able to use keychain with app to login. Have to assume an update with app addressed this issue. Only 4 stars now from 1, as haven’t tried out much else yet. But 5 stars alone for correcting an issue that needed to work proper from get go.
Still cannot edit my address in this app. I wasn’t able to change my address on the website so I downloaded the app. I’m having the same problem. I go to my profile and select edit, but I cannot make any changes.
Sketchy trailer for donating blood that promises a $50 e-gift card to practically any business you’d like. I get nervous around needles and the nurse promised me it would be okay and then proceeded to puncture my vein and I got a blown vein from it. Never got the points, never got a donor ID email so I could never redeem the points or know what my blood type is. They don’t answer phones and their voicemail is full. Absolutely terrible experience.
Every time I try to log into the app there’s a message that pops up on the bottom saying unable to reach server. I’m seeing that the app has a low rating as is. Usually I’d see things like that before downloading I know now. The app would be a good way for users to interact with their account but like the title says, guess they gave up on the app.
I constantly get the message that it cannot connect to the server. The appointment scheduling is terrible. You click the location you want to donate and it just offers google maps no indication of the next time the mobile is there. Basic functionality is all I’m looking for, but it’s not there. Frustrating.
This app is so stressful, you can’t do much in it. I tried to update the address and that’s not an option, I called the customer service number for TBC, and they’re just as incompetent as their app. If only they were as quick to update something so simple like they are to ask for blood donors maybe people would donate more often.
This app regularly says “unable to connect to server “ . Reported it to TBC and they say they’re working on it. Yesterday I managed to login today it’s back to not connecting. As someone trying to access rewards, I can’t redeem promised rewards if the app isn’t working.
Could not login on app even though I can on the web. Changed password via web page. Update password in my password manager. Still cannot login on app but web is ok.
I use LastPass password manager. It will auto fill the username and password just fine but then tells me the credentials are not correct. I have deleted and reinstalled the app and also changed passwords three times and no good. If I manually type the password though it works. Go figure.
I can use the app easily and redeem my points. The gift cards just go to your email all other info is irrelevant. I have redeem plenty of Amazon and target gift cards.
I agree with the other reviewer who said they doubt that's it's a real app. I have a TBC account and know my donor ID, user ID and password. But I can't seem to log in. And none of the buttons *do* anything. The "Forgot Username" and "Forgot Password" buttons don't even work. I hope TBC didn't actually pay the developers for this app. Maybe it was just a high school extra credit project.
Only thing so far is I have to put my username and password in each time, doesn’t save it but app works great. Previous reviews aren’t great so I’m thinking they did a much needed update because I’ve had no issues.
