Text Message Issue
Text messages being received daily from someone who has my number, random selection or from a vendor list. The list shows 20 recipients, including some email addresses. I’ve blocked them but they keep coming with a new email address or number that is not blocked. At least a 4-6 come through between midnight and 6 AM, waking us up. This app worked for two days until they began coming in again but routed to “junk”. From there, I have submitted the texts via “Report” - however, the number the app is reporting is not the one sending the text. This is a clever text scam. Texts are explicit and need to stop. Any additional support would be appreciated.

Helpful so far
I’d like to preface by saying i have an iphone 13 and i do not pay for the app (the free version works fine for my purposes) i was getting quite literally 3-5 texts a day spouting off some random republican campaign stuff that was very clearly a scam (if you get them you know what im talking about). not sure why i started getting them a year ago but every single one is addressed to my mom so that’s a possibility. either way i got tired of getting notifications every single day that i received a text only to find out it said something along the lines of “TRUMP NEEDS YOU” and the unknown senders feature for the iphone isn’t helpful in that department so i gave the app a try and oh my god the relief i feel now is immense. i used a few of the keywords that are always in the spam texts that id never say myself (stop=end for example) and it has worked GREAT. the junk folder does its job and i just check it every few days to report the texts ive gotten and check to make sure nothing important got sent there on accident. overall this has made using my phone so much better and if you’re tired of getting scam text notifications i highly reccomend it!

Does the job!
I was getting multiple group text messages throughout the day and night. All have sexual innuendos. I never responded, and always blocked each of the 20 numbers/email addresses in the chat before deleting the message. Unfortunately, they kept coming, by simply changing a single number or email in the group, thus creating a new group. The other night I got 2 messages with sexual inference just before 4am. Because I have to be available for my job at all times, I can’t use Do Not Disturb or block all unknown messages at night. The AT&T rep suggested I try TextKiller. Before I left the store, the app had already blocked 2 messages to a Junk folder! So far, it seems to do exactly what it is supposed to, and can even learn what is junk when you add keywords to scan for in the messages. However, I have found the junk messages still come through on my Apple Watch. There is a message next to the text saying “Possible Junk”. Is there a way to filter the messages on the Apple Watch that are blocked on my iPhone? The notifications are silent on the watch, but I still have to delete them manually.

Amazing app
So I have a iPhone 12 pro, and don’t ask me how, but someway after I got this phone I started getting insane amounts of random text messages. I’m not one to subscribe to any of that BS like text this to this number or anything like that, and this is not a new number I’ve had this number for several years. I honestly think it was AT&T as I didn’t realize I did not opt out of the sharing of my information (SPi or whatever they call it), So after doing some googling I found that you specifically have to tell AT&T not to share your information with other companies and other people have had the same issue due to that. I logged into my account and opted out of that but I still get all the text messages and everything. Do you know what’s sad is I’m an AT&T corporate employee and I have to deal with this BS as well. After doing that and still getting all the text and everything I decided to try this app and honestly I’m loving it. I went into my options on my phone and selected filter unknown senders and did this app as well and now I don’t even see the messages. I love this app!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

What a lifesaver! Great app!
I started getting repeated spam text messages out of the blue. I’ve had this number for over 10 years, and never had an issue, but within the last few months, I started getting a spam text here and there, and then it steadily increased to multiple per day. They’d come from various numbers and email addresses, sometimes individually, sometimes in group texts…always just plain junk. I did what AT&T suggests by reporting the message and sender to the SPAM shortcode (7726), but after doing that, the messages not only didn’t stop, they increased! The two may or may not be related, but regardless, it ticked me off! I searched for app options to block unwanted texts, and this is the first option that came up. I signed up for the trial, and then quickly signed up for the paid plan! This works—I haven’t had a single spam text come through my Known Senders, and TextKiller has caught dozens of them and filtered them out. THANK YOU for a great app! Well worth the $40/year to filter out the junk.

Seriously amazing
I had gotten a new phone number and almost immediately was getting atleast 20 spam texts a day and I couldn’t just block them because they would send the text in group messages and always a different type of email. It was so frustrating to wake up to a dozen of spam texts in the morning only for it to keep coming and having to constantly look down at my phone to make sure it wasn’t a text from family only for it to be spam. This app is a life saver, seriously. After doing some research on how to stop spam texts I saw a lady post about this app and I decided to look into it. I’m glad I did. As soon as I signed up it instantly went into effect and I have not gotten ONE spam text since. The only downside is that I do have a text subscription with my health insurance company and it does send those texts to a spam folder but luckily it gives the option to go through the texts that the app has blocked so I can make sure I can respond to those texts.

Finally! Something that works!
I’ve been getting several spam texts a day from random gmail addresses for months now, and I was so frustrated that nothing worked to stop them. So far Apple only lets you block each individual email address, and the spam number provided by AT&T only lets you report phone numbers. But these scammers never send from the same email twice! I tried several other third party blockers, but they only filtered out messages from phone numbers. TextKiller lets you filter by message content, though. Since most of the scam texts I’ve been getting send .club links, I typed .club into the message filter as soon as I downloaded the app. Tonight, I realized I hadn’t gotten any notifications from gmail addresses texting me. So I looked in the junk folder TextKiller set up, and there they were! All the scams from the gmails immediately were sent to the junk folder. I no longer have to deal with getting notifications of upwards of 10 scam texts per day! I am so incredibly relieved.

Issues actually accessing premium features after upgrading
I downloaded this app to block the innumerable spam and fraud text messages I receive, and I needed to be able to do it precisely using keywords. After a couple of months, I decided to upgrade to the paid subscription as the app was working well, and I wanted to block a much longer list of keywords than just 5. After upgrading, I’m still unable to block more than 5 keywords. Tapping the “Block” button simply does nothing. I am, of course, able to add more than 5 “Allow” keywords, but that is not a function I need. I have tried every combination of close and reopen, turn on and off, delete and reinstall, and nothing has helped. I even tried deleting my account to start from scratch, but due to the way Apple manages free trials, I wouldn’t be able to do that for another week. 2.5 stars for what seems to be a 5 star app, but doesn’t consistently handle the standard process of upgrading to premium features.

Does not actually blocked text messages just puts them in a separate folder
So far this is not “blocked” anything that I have put in a keyword for such as Dr. OZ or CBD (I get multiple text messages weekly which have those keywords in them, they are spam and phishing text.) This app just created another folder called junk and puts them in there…. with the iPhone you have the ability to separate out known from unknown callers putting unknown callers in a folder called “unknown” which I was doing. So this is the same thing only made a different folder called junkAnd cost $30 a year to do that. Doesn’t block them. Update, The developer did respond to me to say that Apple will not allow them to block the offending text messages it only allows them to put it into a junk folder so it’s really not a problem they can overcome. But like I said IIn the original review can do the same using apples “filter unknown senders setting”.

So close but so far
I really want to like this app. It is desperately needed and I think it does a decent job… When it works. Of course, due to number-spoofing, blocking numbers is useless unless there’s a certain number spamming you, but I really like the keyword block list idea. It seems to do a good job of stopping spam text messages, but it has some kind of terrible bug, so that it usually doesn’t function properly. Most of the time when I log in, my keyword block list is blank. And the words that I put there before are no longer being blocked. Sometimes I log in and the list is back and those texts are properly sent to the Junk folder. I can’t figure out if there’s something that causes it to start working and stop working. I have verified that it is set up correctly in iOS Settings. I have already emailed Support with no response. I will try to update the review if this issue gets fixed.

Misses so many spam texts plus app has too many bugs
Essentially this is worthless. It amazes me that they can even sell this on the App Store via subscriptions. 1. Even with spam text setting to extreme blocker which is supposed to block all texts unless they are in your contacts it still misses many. How hard is it really to block all incoming texts not in your contact list. 2. Even worse when you remove the app from an active screen the settings for their so called AI blocking and the extreme blocker noted above they both turn themselves off!!! Again basic functions of any app when you select on they should stay on. This is a worthless, ineffective scam of an app. 3. Keyword blocking of spam only allows me to enter a total of 5 keywords. Again worthless. Lastly, try contacting their support. They make it look so user friendly like you can chat with someone to resolve your issue and guess what? It’s an automated chat robot which is completely worthless. Don’t waste your money with this app it is useless.

Finally an app that blocks junk texts!
I tried everything to block the group spam texts that I was getting all day and all night - nothing worked. They would just create a new email (usually Hotmail) address to send the crap from, and then inevitably all the people also in the text would start replying “unsubscribe” or whatever other nonsense they thought would work, which was essentially piling on to the issue. Well, this blocks all of it! I can sleep in my Apple Watch again, I can leave my notifications on and not have to worry about who is texting me now, and I also don’t have to block 30 numbers at a time! I signed up for this app for the free trial, and it was so good that I seriously can’t see myself ever deleting it! Best app ever!!

Good prior to subscription now worthless
24 Jun 2022 I cancelled my subscription back in December for all of the reasons indicated. So now I am in countdown mode until this years subscription expires. Fixes periodically get made; but, I still cannot update to newer versions without text words and phrases or sources being deleted all of the time and having to go through the app “retraining cycle”. As a result, text messages just start coming through each update until retrained. It’s just aggravating having to spend time doing this each update. With a few more weeks left, this app will expire and be removed with a replacement already in place that does the job much better now. It is a shame, because this use to be an app that I always recommended to family and friends. 06 Dec 2021 Prior to the subscription version of text killer it was working perfectly. When the new version came out and an annual subscription was paid for, my entire list of keywords was wiped out starting the nagging text message and filtering exercise all over again. The current version DOES NOT FILTER OUT messages that contain keywords like drop, lose, lbs, pounds, try, etc. that are common to nagging weight loss unsolicited text messages. Therefore, it is money down the drain. Yes, I have deleted and reinstalled…still does not filter out messages. Another good app bites the dust after subscription functionality is added. Waste of money!

Works on phone after a few days, does not stop push notifications on Apple Watch
I originally had an issue where messages would be filtered into text killers junk section but would still produce pop up notifications and banners on the phone. After a few days, it seems messages are getting filtered into junk properly. However, the app does nothing to stop those same junk messages from generating a push notification on my watch while I have it on. So while wearing my watch I still get push notifications for sms spam messages even though they are filtered correctly on the phone. This is still pretty annoying but I can just ignore the push notification on the watch and it will go away. This is better than having to delete individual spam messages or getting push notifications on the phone directly.

App does a good job but raising the price by 50% without any additional features is very sleazy
I was just notified (by Apple, not the developer) that the price for premium is going from $4 per month to $6. There's nothing new that the app does now that it didn't do before and no justification from the developer as to why the price is jumping by this high of a percentage. Given these facts one can really only assume that it's simply greedy stakeholders wanting to sneakily siphon more and more money from loyal customers. Having been a customer for almost 2years I've already spent ~$100 in monthly subsriptions ($48/yr) and now they want $72/yr? Get real. The world of subscription based pricing for anything and everything is way out of hand and this is a prime example of company's using dark patterns like this to take advantage of users. I myself will be cancelling mine immediately and no longer recommending the app to friends as I once did.

Amazing Utility!
This app does exactly what it purports. It stops spam from appearing in your massages. Upon installing, this app creates folders for Known Senders, Unknown Senders, and Junk Texts. All folders are accessed from the press of your Messages icon. TextKiller has a smooth, easy to use interface. I have downloaded hundreds of apps, and if I could only keep one app, TextKiller would be my choice. It works seamlessly and you will no longer have the aggravation of seeing or hearing another unwanted text. You can easily see the Unknown Sender and Junk Texts, but they will no longer interrupt your day. I highly recommend you get this superior TextKiller app today! You will thank yourself for taking back your time. And many thanks to the Developer(s) of TextKiller.

Wonderful app!
So I have had this for for about three or four years as well as the number. I’m at a teen so getting random inappropriate texts from group chats are terrifying and traumatizing. I don’t open the apps but I block them and don’t worry bout it. I hate it. I am not on any inappropriate websites what so ever. And I’m am also on AT&T who witch apparently shares my and your info. So I got sick of it and decided to turn on filter unknown senders witch it does but I still do get texts but know that I have this app and look at the reviews and I know I will be safe and finish middle school with no worries! But I just did now start getting inappropriate text again. Witch is not ok! But I’ll get through it guys! It has helped!

Works great on phone and tablet
I won’t ding a point like others have because it works so well on the iPhone and iPad because I’m guessing the problem lies within the devices themselves but it would be really nice if the spam it filters so well from my other devices would get filtered on the Apple Watch also. I would have thought that mirroring the phone would work but the spam still shows up on the watch. As a temporary solution on the watch, I’ve set it to only notify for known senders but that’s not convenient if you get a lot of legitimate business related texts as I do. For a free app, this is pretty killer though. Does a very good job of sorting legit texts from the spam and that can’t be easy.

Cancel right away please
I have only had this app for a couple of days and something’s very wrong because I’ve suddenly gotten scam text after scam text. Unbelievable. Update: someone contacted me and wanted screenshots of the scam texts. I wasn’t sure how to do that so copied one and added the phone # and returned the email. I had already deleted others that day. I have to say it’s been a complete nightmare since I added this app. for such a short time. I have 8 right now. I block them and get the same ones the next day on a different phone number. I was going to screenshot them to send but oddly that email disappeared. I certainly didn’t delete it. It’s nowhere. Not inbox, scam, trash, sent, all mail, etc. It’s just vanished. How does that happen? I want this fixed. Something about this app has obviously attracted these scam texts and I want it fixed. I had to add this stupid app again to write this. Now. I want it canceled ASAP CANCEL APP NOW

App only works for a few days
Seems to stop all spam text coming through (even in the Junk folder) based on blocking keywords like “trump” or “STOP=end” but a few days later I started receiving these texts in the Junk folder. If you’re advertising the ability block ALL spam based on inputted phone numbers and/or keywords, then this app should block ALL inputs. Be honest and advertise if the block feature only exists for a small window of time and that the spam texts will still appear in the Junk folder. Because I know if I go to the Junk folder to delete these texts, they will continue to be sent tenfold. I think it’s highway robbery that I have to pay to prevent my phone number from being bombarded constantly with these harassing texts; spam blocking should be enacted by the cell phone companies free of charge and the feature should be preventative and it should actually work!!!

How is your personal information protected?
I decided not to use the app after getting the “are you sure?” type of message from Apple when choosing the app to filter texts in my settings because the message said “the developer of the app will receive your messages from unknown numbers. This may include sensitive information like bank verification numbers.” Which is something I didn’t think of before—when verifying any account by phone number, they send you a text from an unknown number. That text would be easily accessible to the app, wouldn’t it? Although this app seems useful, it also seems dangerous to give someone else access to all your texts from unknown numbers. The only way I’d use this app is if I had a strong guarantee of how my information would be protected by the app and not stolen.

Use to work - Robokiller works though
Robokiller use to add this service as part of their plan for many years and I enjoy Robokiller (but less these days). I get it, the company wants to make more money so they branched off. $79/yr… fine, I pay it because I’m bombarded with political text and scams. The first year it wasn’t too bad but this is my 3rd year having the app and it’s pretty much useless at this point. I still get spammed daily and even when I turn the app off (in case the app is blocking text that I don’t see or unaware of) it makes no difference. What a waste of $79. I cancelled my subscription even though it doesn’t expire until August this year (5 more month). Should be illegal to sell this since it makes zero difference at all. In case people may think I don’t have the right settings on, I do. I checked every option available to ensure it works. Nothing

Filters spam great but no easy way to whitelist false positives
I love how great this is at filtering real spam, but I get at least 2 or 3 messages a week that get sent to the junk folder that are not junk, and it would be so much better if there was a simple way to whitelist these. Right now the only way is to manually copy the phone number from the message, go into the Text Killer app, and add the number there. Way too many steps. If you add a way to whitelist a number or message from writhin the message, like you have for the “Report Junk” feature, then I’d happily give 5 stars.

Awesome
Spam texts were a constant hassle until I could not stand it anymore so did some research finding TextKiller! Super easy and then the only issue I had was other people texting replies to spam texts like “stop”, “quit” etc which was more annoying stop tweaked my TextKiller with keywords blocking and now peace, beautiful peace! I even resorted to having a response I would send to people replying to spam texts where I was kinda harsh but I did tell them to do something different moreover something effective rather than bothering everyone on the spam text thread informing them about the app! Love it, recommend it and I swear by it!!

What a surprise. An app that works!
I started getting aggressively bombarded with spam texts. Sometimes 20 in a day all similar but from different numbers. I’m on Do Not Call List and texting “Stop” was returned undelivered. It was so upsetting I was considering changing my number. Then, on a whim I tried this app. It completely stopped the texts in ONE DAY. I don’t mean they’re in a spam folder I mean the texts have stopped completely. My only theory is that once Text Killer captured that one spam text it notified the sender which disabled it. Whatever the reason I owe this app a debt of gratitude! And, for once in a lifetime it didn’t cost anything. Thank you.

App will not setup properly
My paid subscription of Text Killer suddenly stopped working. I’ve tried to contact their customer service via bot, but when I type in my issue, it won’t allow me to send. And when you click on “Contact us”, it sends me to a blank website. Maybe this actual text killer is a scam itself?? The send button doesn’t even work. I launched the app, it says “Hmm something went wrong and to please try turning on text blocker again to make sure everything is working”. I’ve followed the steps many times. Had even restarted my phone, but it still won’t setup properly and I keep getting that same error message. I have a paid subscription and I don’t know how long I’ve been paying for their service and this had stopped working. Customer service is difficult to reach.

OMG..I needed this…
I needed this yesteryear…lol. After installing, these annoying stupid perverted text went straight to junk. I don’t even have to hear the ping that I got a text unless it’s someone I know. I would have got this a long time ago if I had known it existed. Thank you so much, I can breathe again. It was especially irritating because I have a sister who is battling cancer and needed my phone on just in case I was needed. They are sending these nasty texts all hours of the day and night. Don’t know how they got my phone number but, now I don’t care cause I can be without that annoyance! Thank you once again.

I found this app, and I didn’t know if it would work or not. I downloaded it and did everything it said. Guess what, I’ve never received any more spam/scam messages! I’m so happy. TextKiller Works
About 4 months ago, my text spam was out of control. After doing some research, I down loaded TextKiller. I saw an immediate 95% drop in the spam texts. Spammers or Scammers are now popping in with what appears to be a group text. Since I never open any of these groups texts attempts I’m not sure if it’s someone trying to sell me something or try to steal my information. TextKiller allows me to report it as spam. Once doing that, you’ll never see that one again! I’ve purchased a lot of different apps for my iPhone. This is the only app that impressed me enough that I wanted to write a review.

Really?! Et tu Brute’?
I used to like this app, now I am moving on to another. It appears the app developers just cannot resist inserting their political views and biases into their programming. I have noticed that when giving examples of what is spam or what is not in their interactive feature it seems 90% of the examples are some type of Trump/Republican/GOP message. Don’t get me wrong, I consider all of these to be spam as well, but do these developers honestly think the Democratic Party does not flood the internet with spam political messages as well? I am fed up with tech companies inserting their biases into their product. How about eliminating ALL spam not just the ones you don’t agree with? Or, novel as it may seem, stay out of politics in general? As such I cannot trust this applications intentions any longer and therefore cannot continue its use.

Saved My Life!
Thank you so much to whoever made this app! I was receiving texts non-stop, all the same thing, but from all different phone numbers and I was scared that I would have to change my phone number or pay for a service but I’m so glad I found this app because I put in a special character that was in all of the spam texts but would never be used in legit texts from people I know as a keyword to block and I stopped getting them instantly as they were sent to the junk folder which essentially makes it seem as if they don’t exist. Thanks again! -T3CH9

Meh
Huge issue with group texts with 20+ numbers and emails. Put every number and address with as many keywords as possible and texts still getting thru. Additionally, the “killed” texts still show up in a junk folder with an alert and I’m alerted on my other devices as well. So basically it just puts everything in a folder that now you have go in and individually delete. Not sure how this saves me any time or aggravation. I hoped this was truly a text “killer” meaning it would automatically block and delete messages from numbers or with keywords I plugged in, but it basically just sends them all to a folder that I now have to clean out. I’ll give it month to see if it helps with stopping these annoying texts, but so far, not worth it. It’s an organizational tool and not a text “killer” as advertised.

What is the subscription price?
I’m giving 3 stars because I have not tried the app. I might be willing to try this app, if I knew what the ongoing subscription would cost me. However, I’m not willing to download and invest the time and energy to learn it when I have no idea of the price. You’re clear in the description that the free trial is 7 days and the subscription will be charged after that. Thank you for your transparency in that regard. I just wonder why you don’t specify the subscription price? If I feel it’s appropriate, I’d be excited to try your product and hopeful that it would meet my needs. Instead, I’m wary and reluctant. I just don’t want to get invested, only to walk away due to pricing.

Highly recommend!
I was getting spam texts 4 times a day, everyday. I downloaded every app on the App Store, trying to make them stop. All the apps wanted money to actually block anything, except this one. It adds a filter to your text messages, so you can see what was blocked. I love this so much. I’ve had the app for about a week, and I haven’t “received” one spam text. I say “received” because I still get them, but I don’t know I get them unless I check the filter folder, which I only check to see if the app actually works, and it 100% does. ALSO, you can type in keywords for them to block. LOVE IT!!!

Incredible!!!
I’ve been at my wits end for the past couple of years cause I get at least 20 to 25 text messages a day from politicians that want donations. First off, never give your phone number if you make a donation. Every time I got a spam text I would put the number on my block list, etc. but continued to get them. Then I tried this app. It’s been almost a week and I have not gotten one spam text message. NOT ONE!!!! It’s unbelievable to me. I could not be happier, and I could not more highly recommend this app. It works unbelievably well!

What happened?
I have been using and loving this app for two years, happy to pay the subscription until now. As others have said, I can no longer add words to my block list. I read that others have said that you can only have 5 words in your block list now - this appears to be the case. I am not sure they made that change without communicating it to their subscribers, but that seems overly restrictive to me. I will be looking around for a new text blocker app to see if I can find something that does what this app used to do.

Just ok, could be better
It’s an alright app, perhaps I expected more when I purchased. It would be a lot better if IOS systems didn’t receive notifications from unknown senders. I still receive numerous notifications from spam texts, perhaps iOS or TextKiller could simply “silence” any and all texts from unknown or suspicious numbers. Reporting spam/junk/unknown texts is more time consuming and a hassle than expected. One would assume a simple swipe left/right or press/hold application would allow the user to block and report number with simple category options such as, “Scam, Fraud, etc..”. However, TextKiller provides 20+ category options that are similar; leasing the user to hastily pick any category option that may or may not be similar or correct.

Fantastic app. I’d like to make a suggestion
Love the App. Works even better than I could have hoped for. Was getting like 5-7 political ad tests per day on average. With the app installed has went down to none. Absolutely worth the 5.99 per month and have no problem paying. It looks like you use users to help train your models by identifying potential spam messages you’ve captured. I like to see a “payment” option where the user can help identify a certain # a month and that covers the cost of the app. But if they don’t, they still get charged 5.99. Ohh only gave this a 1 star because figure someone from the company checks out the 1 star reviews occasionally. It’s a great product.

Block/allow list
Previous versions let you view and edit custom keywords and numbers for blocking/allowing texts. Now you can only add them and you cannot view them. Did it actually keep my previous settings? No idea, can’t check. Does block/allow feature currently work? No idea, can’t see the settings to confirm. Update: still doesn’t work on iPad, but I suspect that it doesn’t work at all on iPad. There’s no option to use Textkiller as the SMS spam filter. Meanwhile, the block list is now editable on iPhone, but it doesn’t always filter out SMS spam that matches those keywords. I added “UPS” and “USPS” as block keywords, but I still get iMessage spam about “packages being held at the warehouse” from email addresses that are obviously not UPS or USPS.

Works well
It cuts the amount of text messaging spam I receive by about 90%. I just wish I could automatically respond to all the people spamming the former owner of my phone number "I am not James.” Or maybe send them my office logo and thank them for contacting my organization. Either would encourage them to go away. Update: Nobody in their right mind intentionally attracts our attention. I am quite certain that an automated response indicating that they are attracting the attention of people with badges and guns who can arrest them would encourage them to go away and not spam me further.

Disappointing
I had high hopes for this app. I downloaded and used it the first week because I was getting a ton of political texts. I was able to add 5 words to block specific text messages. Unfortunately you can’t add more than 5 and I can’t edit the list. In looking at the support, it says to email any numbers getting through to “report text”, so I thought I would try it out. About 48 hours later I get told to email to support instead. It’s been over 48hrs again and no response yet. Now I’m starting to get a bunch of new text messages from all sorts of groups. I don’t have time to enter all these messages into the app. Probably can only enter 5 like the blocked words list. Very disappointing and don’t recommend.

Love the app, just wish it also worked on the Apple Watch
This app would easily get 5 stars from me, except that my watch still dings on the spam texts even when my watch is set to mirror my iPhone. I was getting so many spam texts after switching to AT&T and it was driving me CRAZY. They’d send them as early as 6 am. Now, with this app I am able to not hear or see the 5+ spam texts I was getting daily. It does seem like some get filtered from the watch but others don’t. If they could find a way to solve that the app would be PERFECT!! Still definitely worth it and I 100% recommend!

Crashes When Manually Reporting Spam
I have textkiller setup on the app and all that, but when I get a spam message, i'll open it to tap on the report link for textkiller to select "spam" and put in any comments before hitting "Done" to report it. The problem is that as soon as I tap on the section to say whether it is or is not spam, the screen closes out and I'm back at the text message. This happens 100% of the time and it has always been this way for me. I have T-Mobile and even tried turning off their spam protection, thinking maybe there was a conflict, but that's not the case. I have an iphone 13 pro and my ios is up to date. what gives?

It’s actually working 🥹
I’m so glad that I have an app that’s finally filtering my spam texts & calls! I haven’t actually SEEN a spam call/text come through since I downloaded this a few days ago! I can see all the texts I don’t want if I look in the junk folder but never am notified they’re there. Thank goodness. With all the spam coming through these days I was getting annoyed & didn’t want to change my number. This works better than Norton did for me!!!! I love it! Customer for life!

App isn't blocking harassment texts
I thought this was the answer to my receiving unwanted pornographic texts. The sender creates a group list of 20 people. The sender doesn't say anything other than posts a website in hopes that the receivers opens it. It angers people asking sender to remove them from group. My phone gets blown up with angry people as do I. Each time I block the sender and group another one is sent to me. This just keeps going on and on. I'm sick of this!! I thought this app would block these sick people but it isn't doing anything.

Works well
Works better than I expected not only have I gotten less spam text messages over the last few weeks, TextKiller filters the spam which is mostly mass text message scams. Before text killer I was getting 2-5 a day with text killer I get 1 every few days that textkiller quietly filters, I only notice when I check my messages. If your getting email spam sent to you via text you can also have it filtered. 10/10 so happy with this app and it’s developers.

TextKiller…I am so glad I found this app. I was so frustrated due to me not being to block those messages, that would wake me up. TextKiller... I was mire frustrated due to me not being to block those messages that would wake me up during the early am. I complained but it seems it was hopeless. This is worth the 30$. I felt so hopeless. I must be doing something right. I saw there ad. I am in my 3/4 day of my trail period. No harassing text message. Thank you TextKiller I feel so much better.

So thankful for this app
I was receiving so many spam texts that I was to the point of crying. They would wake me up at night, early in the morning and with my job and family I couldn’t just silence my phone all the time. I researched and chose this app based on how they responded to reviews. I am 100% satisfied. I have been able to add key words to help remove spam texts that I receive and they already know of others. I have not had a single spam text get through to my regular texts since I set it up. Thank you!

Thank you
My current cell number has been mine for 30 years and have had Att for approx 20 of those. About a year ago, I started receiving spam sms texts numerous times everyday. Forwarded them to ATT and blocked them, but they keep appearing, using a different address. Then I downloaded this amazing app - Don’t Text. Per the app’s directions, I added the key words used by the spammers…and it worked! Spam text stopped and have not had any in over a month! Get this app…it works.

This really works!!
Not sure how my number ended up on so many junk lists, I was growing increasingly frustrated. I’d heard about this app and thought I’d give it a try. With texts coming to both my phone and iPad, I installed the app on just my phone. I’m amazed each day at the number of messages on my iPad that the app blocks on my phone. After monitoring for several weeks, I haven’t identified any blocked texts that were legitimate messages. It irritates me to no end that the need for this app exists, but I am very thankful that it does!!
