I feel fortunate to have the Daily Item online as well as the physical paper delivered when we are home. I realize that it is difficult to keep a local paper in business. The Daily Item provides important local information which is not available anywhere else. It is very convenient to be able to read the paper online when we are away.
If you have the old app, don’t replace it with this one until you have to. I made the mistake of downloading it, and it is unreliable. It takes a long time to download new editions. This morning, I am unable to download the edition at all (I even uninstalled and reinstalled to app to no avail). It’s frustrating being a paid subscriber and not being able to access the paper. I was able to open the edition on my phone because I still have the old app installed there, thank goodness. Daily Item, please fix this!
Monday’s are the only day I read the Item online, but my morning wouldn’t be complete without it! I find the e-edition easy to use. But it isn’t quite as pleasurable as holding a “real” paper in my hands the other six days!
Don’t get me wrong, I love the paper Paper. But being able to read the on-line Paper is a real luxury, especially when it’s raining or snowing outside and the driveway is icy or slippery in the dark, early morning!
