Washington Times
I enjoy reading the Washington Times. However when a post appears in my Facebook feed and I open it to read it I get a pop up window asking me to purchase a subscription even though I’ve already purchased one. There is a note in the lower right corner that states already a member, log in. But when I try to login in I can’t. This is very frustrating, the only way I can view these articles is to go to the Washington Times Ap and search through all of the articles for the one that appeared in my Facebook feed. Is there anyway to fix this? Thanks, John Holt

The ever true WT marches on through thick and thin
Going back to the nineties the WT has given us factual, timely information about what’s going on to either erode or support our precious United States. Along with that it has been courageous in revealing those individuals who with great zeal have contributed to our success or demise as a nation. Many times the writers have been guests on news programs furthering the truth about Issues and threats to our sovereignty. These stellar articles that I forward to others have kept all of us informed to such a degree that I often am convinced at the end of the day that I have armed myself with the best source possible to protect us . It’s time for me to renew my membership and let WT know by doing so that I not only believe their research but need it to keep on keeping on. I write articles myself for conservative sources and have given talks as well. Not as much now as before. Still, I’m very thankful for WTimes commitment to the foundations upon which our country is founded. Your diligence is acknowledged !

Where is all the news?
I kept hearing about things, and seen videos now and then but never anything on the traditional, or should I say my traditional, news outlets. It was so frustrating not knowing what’s going on. I don’t care what their agenda is, I think it’s stinks that you can’t find out what’s going on in the US today. THAT IS JUST NOT SO for me anymore. I don’t even remember the random way I came upon the Washington Times but I don’t care. I’m just glad I did. Let’s just say I don’t make decisions the same way anymore, about many things.

Great content, waaay too many adds.
The Washington Times is a breath of fresh air when 99% of media outlets are all reporting the exact same lies. Unfortunately, the app has so many adds and popups that it makes it difficult and frustrating to navigate the articles. Hey, the adds make it a free app, but could you please just tone it down a notch? Wake up America! Stand your ground! Don’t take everything that you see or hear at face value. This is a nation OF the people, BY the people, and FOR the people! Don’t just stand there and let our “leaders” take away the last of our freedoms!!! These are public servants that think it’s our job to provide them with wealth and power. I think they are here to provide us with FREEDOM!!!!!!!! United we STAND, divided we FALL!!!

Frustrating Constant Crashes!!
I have a PAID subscription with The Washington Times and yet I can’t get through two articles before the app crashes! Yes, I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but the crashes continue. DEVELOPER: I am using an UTD Apple iPhone 13. The crashes happen randomly but always while I’m in the middle of reading an article. Whatever page I’m on just suddenly turns all red and stays that way. There is nothing to click on and swiping right on the screen does nothing; I have to close out the app, reopen and then search for the article in order to finish reading it. Would you please fix this problem? It’s been going on ever since I first downloaded the app, well over a year ago; maybe two years ago by now.

Surprise!
I left Fox News when they hired Donna Brazile, the cheater for debates. I was looking for a news source that was conservative and willing to tell both sides beside OAN and Newsmax. On Facebook I would occasionally see articles that were conservative and held truth posted by friends of mine. Not too long ago, I pursued the source of those articles and was surprised to find it was The Washington Times. I have it as an app on my IPAD, and it is one of several I check each day to get the other side from that being pushed by the MSM. Try it!

Good Content App Leaves Some To Be Desired
The articles are actually fairly balanced compared to most of what comes out of DC. Bill Gertz is one of my favorite journalists and Charlie Hurt’s opinion writing is always a good read. But the app has issues. There’s so many ads that break up the screen. At times you can’t leave or read comments because the section is just one blank area. I can’t remember how many times I’ve have to delete the app and reinstall it because it freezes. It definitely needs a facelift and it would be nice to be able to have a feature to save favorite articles.

News You Want But Won’t Get to Read.
Was optimistically looking forward to an objective, balanced news provider, especially coming out of D.C. Problem is that it’s virtually impossible to actually read an article! Select an article, article opens, and THEN: horizontal banner near bottom covering ~20% of the screen; right margin ads - OK, that’s fairly common; THEN, FULL-SCREEN pop-up video ad - try to close it, then a subscription solicitation opens and the rest of the screen is greyed-out. It is absolutely the most ridiculous and frustrating website I can recall experiencing. There is such a desperate need for the content I believe the Washington Times provides, but it’s worthless if it can never be read. Hopefully the developers actually read these reviews.

The Wisdom of Consulting Multiple News Sources
Let’s face it—News reporting is the business of clicks-generation. It is reasonable to assume the various news sites “switch sides” now and then to create click-generating controversy and to attract clickers from “the other side.” I look at a range of sites, kind of like checking the weather before leaving my home. I want to be prepared. THE WASHINGTON TIMES is relatively new to me, and it has been less insulting and less overtly manipulative than other sources. The app is easy to use. The rest is up to me.

Freezing web site
You have been one of the few National newspapers that prints intelligent articles. Please do not start letting the dark side influence you. The liberals for the most part do not live by the blueprint for life. The Bible. They will meet Jesus one day like we all will and give an account of their lives. As a business owner that’s my two cents.😎By the way your site freezes and it it hard to get out of something you are viewing. God bless.

Frustrating-Dan Snyder of news apps
Too many ads on the screen especially of the type that expand or play animations. One has to scroll past the ads or close them in order to read the articles. Also the text is constantly shifting as ads load within the page pushing text up and down. Personally I also believe this causes the app to freeze or crash more often than other news apps I use (NY Post, WSJ, USA Today, Rush Limbaugh, National Review). While there are many great writers at the Times (I live for Pruden’s columns) the app makes it painful to regularly use. A redesign and better ad integration would go a long way to resolving a lot of these issues.

Both Better, and Worse, Than Washington Post
Content better, in my opinion, than the Trump Deranged Washington Post App. But, admit it, the Washington Post App is way slicker, and much less cluttered with intrusive advertising than the Washington Times App. With the WT app, sometimes pop-up ads cover the entire screen, leaving no clue as to how to escape them. And the constantly truncated moving text frames, interspersed with constantly moving advertising frames, is one of the worst web page layouts I have ever seen. It is a shame that such good content is presented in such an irksome and klutzy way.

Critical consumer
It is a delight to find a news source that presents news in a balanced way. I have grown disgusted with entities like the NYT or the LA Times. They are both predictably hostile and disapproving of every aspect of the Trump administration, including the many significant accomplishments to date. Just like millions of my fellow Americans, I want to see America prosper and strengthen. I would like American media to be fair enough to note when that happens even when that is achieved by those it opposes. ——Mike

I’ve recently downloaded the app and immediately noticed that you are probably closer to CNN in your coverage than you are to FOX News. I stopped reading your newspaper during the time you became so virulently anti-Trump. While there are some very good pieces on conservatives, I’ve noticed that even though President Trump left office some years ago, you still manage to disparage him on a routine basis. I’m pretty certain that I will delete your app again real soon.

Great Alternative!
It’s such a relief to be able receive News that is otherwise unreported. I mean seriously, totally, completely unreported! However, with the time being what it is, along w/division and polarization, those that need to know the facts won’t read this...unfortunately. However, I appreciate NOT being ignorant of what is actually happening behind the common, mainstream news, and the Washington Times is terrific for this. Thank you WT!

Washington Times app / content
I like the range of news stories covered. I’m still getting used to the app interface and am finding the scrolling and tapping sometimes causes jumps to unrelated articles suddenly, with some difficulty navigating back. Scrolling vertically sometimes leads to sliding to the right. I’m still learning but am enjoying the range of subjects covered. Thanks!

Ads
In terms of content, it is hard to beat the Washington Times. I love getting their take, when I have the patience to fight the ads. The latest version of the app really messed up how you view content. Each time you scroll down, to reach the next potion of an article, you’re hit with a new ad. The ad expands (or contracts) depending on how they try to fool you into reading it. One is constantly re-reading or skipping paragraphs an an effort to find where he/she left off before getting the add. ITS INFURIATING!! Stick to the desktop version, the iOS app is absolutely terrible.

Necessary?
With all of the advertising opportunities, is a subscription an advantage to anything other then ‘more money’? With the Daily Caller charging a fee to read all the news articles, and Fox’s fixation on celebrity & trivia stories - your readership should have increased with providing news without the cover charge. Initially, I had recommended your site to three households. Now, I look at the headlines of the articles and proceed to the Sudoku.

News is great, app is terrible
The news is great, and I always appreciate the push notifications with the latest headlines. However, the advertising in the app is extremely intrusive. The text constantly moves up and down as the ads load, videos start playing and take over the screen, static full screen ad takeovers occur regularly, and the app crashes often. Making this app essentially frustrating and a pain. Although I enjoyed the news a lot, I had to uninstall the app because it was just too frustrating.

Used to be a good app
I have no problems with Washington Times news. In fact, it’s really well done and well researched. The problem I have is with the in-app ads. I used to be able to listen to music while reading the news. No more. As soon as I open an article, this app kills sound from any other app. On top of that, the ads are now videos that open and can’t be closed or skipped. Please give us a chance to skip ads and stop taking over my audio! I can WATCH the news, if I wanted to. I’m READING the news because that’s the way I want to get my info. Don’t show me video in a text-based app.

Excellent Ap
Are used to pay a fortune for the Wall Street Journal, but the Washington Times is just as good and doesn’t cost anything. They have great judgment when it comes to sending news notices. I feel like I’m informed, up-to-the-minute, as long as I read the Washington Times notifications. They are one of the few publications that really develop the conservative perspective.

Poorly Designed and enacted
The TWT app meets the minimum requirement for the paper (they have an app). For background, I have home delivery and a digital subscription. It’s frustrating that i can’t search on the app. If i read a good column in the paper version-i would like to be able to go on the app and find that article by date of release or aurhor. Its in the best interest of TWT to want me to do their marketing for them—share content with prospective readers—but they don’t facilitate this functionality— a shame

Honest News
Washington Times is the only newspaper I read (recently) because the Baltimore Sun, “our local paper”, is extremely, politically biased, it has become a joke. I would subscribe to WT hard copy but we’re too far away. I’m pleased to be able to simply download the app and receive notifications and the entire fair/balanced story. Thank you.

Online Review
The WT Website and digital newspaper is a better and fairer presentation of news than its agenda driven rivals like WP & NYT who are propagandists. I do not enjoy the WT advertising overkill which is annoying, insecure web protocols with entirely too many unsavory, predators as sponsors/advertisers. The technical website functions are unreliable. Unfortunately the writing depth, abilities, global circulation and resources of the Post and Times are of a much higher standard as a result attracting the brightest and best journalist minds however tormented with “Group Think” and elitism. It would be great if they published news from reliable sources with less sensationalism. They don’t and the public suffers because of their terrorism. I hope the WT improves over time and continues to protect the truth.

Well-written News
I enjoy reading the Washington Times' news articles. They are well-written and don't tent to include all the drama that other news agencies enjoy writing. Interesting how the same story's headline on the Washington Times is fact and CNN, for instance is more negative. I would recommend anyone, no matter your political preference, read the Washington Times. Simple, clearly written, fact-based daily news.

First Year
I get the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Times and like both for different things. There is some local sports in the Times. Since our “local” news tends to be about lots of things, it can be thin coverage, but the Congressional coverage is good. Reading the Times on digital is far too difficult. They need work on their layout and app.

Poor UX
Frustrating to use on several levels. There is a persistent, useless pop up touting an uninteresting podcast that covers the bottom of the screen. Even when dismissed, it insists on coming back in a manner reminiscent of several memorable politicians from recent years. Second, the same story can appear multiple times as one scrolls through the site. I’ve known teen aged boys who exhibited better organizational skills than can be found here.

Paid subscriber. Last year.
I’ve been a subscriber for many years. But they try to trick people into subscribing before your year has ended. I still have months I login successfully again and again, and it keeps trying to sell me another subscription A big red screen prevents me from reading anything. And they still haven’t fixed Facebook articles opening in the app. I’m tired of waiting. This is my final year. As I get older, it’s harder and harder to log in again and again.

Horrible
I recently bought a two year subscription to the Times and quickly found out it is extremely hard to leave a comment on articles. It seems you have to create a separate account to leave comments and it seems impossible to use the app to comment. Every time it kicks me to my web browser and I have to sign in there EVERY SINGLE TIME. Unacceptable! I will be asking for a refund immediately. Fix your comment section to make it more user friendly.

Earlier this week I subscribed to receive the paper on line. I have an email thanking me for doing so. When I go to the app it won’t allow to read any news stories. Instead it tells me that in order to have access I need to subscribe. Considering I already paid thats an outrage. When I called to explain what happened I left a message without a return call. Now I’m calling my credit card company to to dispute my purchase. Shame on you for not getting back to me

I hate the way you show advertisements
Times has the worst website for advertisements of any of that I visit. You should look at how some of the sports websites show advertisements when reading articles. I would be glad to watch a 15 second advertisement per article instead of the needless ads that I usually have to scroll through.

App fails to open most times!
Here I am a subscriber and pay for this newspaper, yet most of the time I try to open the app it’s just a solid red screen. My other complaint is just the unbelievable amount of advertising they do even for paid subscribers. Well, I like the content, but it comes at a big price. I wish they could just fix the app so it open and I could see the content half the time. Oh well.

Aggressive and annoying ad implementation
The ads at Washington times app and mobile site are too aggressive and the way they are implemented is obnoxious and intrusive, fighting for attention and competing with the articles as you scroll through an article. I don’t mind ads. I just don’t like for ads to compete with the content. I know they have to make money but it shouldn’t come at such a great expense to the users experience. This was just too annoying for me. Deleted.

Maddening scrolling
I wanted to like this app but the scrolling and the ads that appear and disappear will have you flicking up and down reading and rereading the same sections and losing your place. The same for the side scrolling on the push notifications. Click on a read and you likely be taken to a different story than the one you clicked on. I’ve come so close to deleting this app several times for these reasons. Good reporting, bad application software.

It’s been at least year since WT has updated either so please allocate some resources and be the 5 star you should be.

I added the Washington Times to my arsenal of more balanced and reasonable news sources, along with Wall Street Journal, National Review, Epoch Times, and The Daily Wire. Secondly, the pop ups are so bad on the APP that I can’t even get to the article. It took me six times to finally open the article only to have a pop up close it half way through the story. Ugh. Terribly annoying to read from app
Due to ads, while reading an article the page will randomly jump / scroll up or down. The reader must continually find where ones reading left off. It takes 2 times or longer to read an article thanks to this glitch. Is there a way to still have ads but not have this issue? I get that the app is free but this is incredibly annoying and a deterrent from me even wanting to use the app at all. Thanks for your consideration.
