Great product. It just needs some tweaking. Individual apps need individual control. Sports scores for example need more time to scroll than staring at the weather or clock for the same amount of time. Or have it resume rather than start over. Still love it, though.
We put this in the kitchen to keep up with our hectic lives throughout the day. It is really innovative and helpful, visually distinctive, and a breeze to configure. It isn’t perfect, though. Screens in the app appear in the order they were added rather than when they are scheduled to appear. This makes it difficult to remember when apps will display at a given time without checking each one. Also, the Google calendar connection does not support shared calendars. All that said, it is clear the team is committed to making this project better and better all the time. Hopefully we see additional updates in to the future. Highly recommend, even in it’s current form.

This app takes me back to the beginning of Apple days - when the user interface was simple and perfect and everything just did what it should; what you wanted it to do. And it would make you smile. Where instructions and googling for help and tech support wasn’t needed. It’s So beautiful and simple and easy and I love it so much (the app and my Tidbyt). Thank you so much Rohan, Mats, Mark and your whole team. Can’t imagine how hard you mist have worked to make something this easy and pleasant. Listen I just got this product today and it’s fricking amazing! I love it for the sport and just everything. I wish when I download a app and move the order around of which the apps appear. For instance if I download a mlb app then weather then another mlb app I want to order the mlb app to come after one another then have to see weather then baseball. What I have to do instead is delete the weather app then re download it. It can be a pain when u have 10 apps and u need to order 1. Amazing product though.
Love the product. But I have to “setup a new Tidbyt” anytime I change wifi or locations with it. Which means I lose all of my apps/customizations and can never reuse a previously setup Tidbyt. I’d like to be able to connect to a new wifi and still use the previously setup Tidbyt. It could even prompt you when you setup a new one to “use a previous Tidbyt or create a new one”. It’s almost unusable for me in its current state. I take it to work and back home with me everyday, and I’ve had to resort to connecting it to my iPhones personal hotspot to not lose my setup, and that’s wearing me thin after only a few weeks.
Active apps page needs more features. I would like the ability to lock a single app to constantly display a specific app at least for a while then go back to the rotation without removing the other active apps. The sports apps (MLB, NFL, NBA) have an option to display on game day only BUT it would be nice if there were options to display during the game only. I’ll be honest for the amount of money they ask for these things I aspected more options both in the main app and within the apps within the app that let you decide what gets displayed.
I bought two of these and they only delivered one and then for 4 to 5 months ignored all of my emails about the second device. I finally got my money back only because I put in a complaint with my credit card company. The credit card company finally reverse the charges and I got my money back due to the complaint because the company never responded to the credit card companies inquiry either. I will give them props that the device itself is quite nice and cute, but when you can’t depend on a company to do the right thing, I would steer clear. That’s just my two cents.
Logged me out from app, so you’d expect the ability to sign in and access your saved/existing apps, right? Nope. You are forced to select sign out or setup a new tidbyt. Even thought my tidbyt box is still working. Had to do a complete reset of the box. Tried to search for my existing apps - like Sonos. I type Sonos into search, and nothing happens. No search results show up - just a list of pre-selected apps like weather. Is search broken? I eventually browsed for it and found it. But why have search if it doesn’t work? I setup the NOAA tide app, and hit ADD button - nothing happens. No error message. Just doesn’t recognize the add button press. So you exit and come back - same issue. Some apps are added, some aren’t. Very buggy. Super disappointed. It used to work well. Now adding apps or finding apps is really frustrating and hard. Running 17.2 iOS on new IPhone 15 Max if that helps the developers in anyway.
I want to like this app & device so much more especially for how much it is. The app programming for different apps is just so unreliable. Half the time no matter when they are scheduled for (even after turning the device off and refreshing the app), the tidbyt is unable to work accordingly and only shows the annoying tidbyt logo screen over and over and over again. It’s great when it works but extremely frustrating when it’s unable to do its single purpose.
I’m super excited to see this product hit the market, I’ve been seeing ads for it on Instagram for a few weeks now, and I signed up for the Kickstarter drop, and I am absolutely ecstatic for this. I need one for every room in my house. If there’s any way to properly preorder this for testing, I’m the first in line. Anyways, keep up the good work folks, I’ll be looking forward to the drop date.
This is a really cool device but if there’s was a individual speed changer for each app it would be a lot better. For example you may not want to look at the weather for the same amount of time as you want to watch a gif.
I will be backing the kickstarter as soon as it goes live and have already downloaded the app in preparation. Would potentially love to see options for developers while we wait for the ours to start building screens for our information. Again, cannot wait to finally get my hands on one.
I didn’t know how much I would like this but I’m loving it. The quickly glanceable information right on the dotted display is amazingly convenient. I recommend not overdoing the apps as then you end up waiting for the info you wanted to scroll by for a while.
I preordered two on kickstarter and am excited to get it for the holidays. Setup was easy, less than 5 minutes. Will be 5 stars after I use it for awhile. So far really cool.
The app is way too dark, but please move the + button so you can hit the menu button on the last widget to edit it when scroll down without ultra-precise perfect scrolling. Also, allowing night mode to be scheduled at different times for different days of the week would be appreciated.
Who would have thought a retro clock would be the standout of the hardware I’ve purchased recently. This little clock handled some very useful chores unobtrusively and with style. Presuming the hardware holds on strong, I’m inclined to buy many more of these.
This device is rad. What it needs is the ability to have some apps viewable more than others; I don’t need to see the weather as frequently as the clock, for example.
We’ve had our tidbit for over a year, all of a sudden we are having issues with apps on updating. The weather stays the same days and won’t update to the current. I always have to restart it and unplug to get the connecting message off the screen. It’s just not working like it used to and it’s pretty disappointing.
There is much to be said for the simplicity of this app. It simply works and does what it is supposed to. It is simplistic and intuitive. I was up and running immediately. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
We love the Tidbyt … everything from sports scores and news to the weather to time zones around the globe … Tidbyt is wildly functional. It’s also a conversation piece when friends and family visit.
So far it’s met my expectations but I have an ask: - ability to cycle through certain apps faster than others (I’d like to look at the clock longer and the stocks less)

Took less than 5 minutes to set up the whole device and add apps. Excited to see more apps/integrations (like Apple Music and iCal) and deeper scheduling customization.
Expected more apps and options. Pace of development of new apps is very slow. For someone who got this to track sports scores, disappointing that the “recent” updates include College Football, which has been in season for three months, and still no options for World Cup soccer or NCAA Basketball.
Awesome product. Awesome interface. Just awesome. Been getting ads for a while, when it finally became available I got it as a Christmas gift because I was talking about it so much. The subway times are perfect for me.
Backed the kickstarter, have had mine for about a month or so and it’s been awesome. Set up for stocks/crypto/weather on various schedules so I don’t get updates I don’t need in off hours. Aesthetically pleasing and good build quality.
I got this Tidbyt to show public transit times, however I have been having issues with the Transit app not showing BART train times. I’ve created tickets on their support forum about the issue and there is never any response from the developers. Be aware of this if you wanted this item for a specific display purpose.
The app is very easy to use and I was able to set up my Tidbyt device very quickly. The apps I can install on the device are great and the whole process is fast.
It’s awesome to see a vision executed so perfectly. The device is absolutely gorgeous. The app needs more options and user customizations, but I’m sure that will come eventually. Great job, Tidbyt Team!
Just embarrassing really that I can’t get iOS notifications, calendar events, reminders, iMessage, calls, etc.. support on this thing. Just a bunch of mostly useless novelty apps that break every few months and have to be manually updated by their developers when they feel like it.
Of course the developers don’t answer your questions so I give it a three Star because lots of apps need keys or API’s to work. No information on how to get those keys or API’s.
I’ve had the Tidbyt for several months. Love it but now the app doesn’t work and keeps crashing anytime I try to add a new screen. Practically unusable
