How in the world do you come up with a 4.8 out of 5 rating when all of the reviews are terrible. I have had nothing but issues with this app. It says iPad compatible but when you speak to a TFCU member services rep they all say that it isn’t. I constantly get a denied access “ you don’t have permission to access this account with the credentials provided” and yet, it’s my correct info. I can use Safari and Google to access my account but the official app denies me. Also, I can now access my Billpay service but when I try to go back to the accounts page, it logs me out, almost every time. I can access my credit card statement on Google but not on Safari. This is a real mess. I am disturbed that you are faking your ratings and failing to respond to the many issues pointed out as indicated by the posted reviews. Fix this please. We are counting on you to get this right.
This is not a criticism of Tyndall Federal Credit Union. They are the best people I’ve ever banked with. It is really a privilege to be a member. My problem is with the mobile app. It consistently fails and drops and goes inactive when using it. It says network connection failure but my network is perfectly fine for all other apps. Once it goes into this failure mode you can’t sign off or do anything else with it. You just have to stay logged in and close it and hope it will time out later. Another problem is setting up biometrics. It is very user unfriendly when trying to set this up, especially if you previously had it set up. The user headings are not specific enough to find the functions easily. You have to check several to find the one you need. This app needs to be completely reworked to make it sensible and user friendly.
I’m so grateful and thankful for all the amazing forgiveness we have been shown by Tyndall from the beginning and especially during Covid and I have never had that experience with any other bank. Tonight brought me to tears. Three small deposits put into our savings, almost enough to cover our negative checking balance that we were already forgiven for. The last two years have been challenging but Tyndall had made things more manageable. I am truly touched by how I am treated as a member. Thank you and Merry Christmas
I have absolutely no idea why Tyndall changed apps, the last app worked great. I hate this app. It is not user friendly one bit. I constantly have login issues which is so frustrating. I’m not able to use my savings app Qapital (that I love) in conjunction with Tyndall’s mobile app because I would have to login to the mobile app on my Qapital app. I didn’t have any issue using Tyndall’s old app but with this new app, I only receive a message that says I am not enrolled in online banking when trying to login. I cannot figure out why it will not allow me to login and even called Tyndall’s help center but they couldn’t help. Either this app needs MAJOR work or scrap this app and relaunch the old app. Also I am very skeptical of the rating of 4.7 stars for the app. Everyone Tyndall member I have spoken to about the new app have had the same issues that are reflected in the numerous 1-star reviews.
I have other banking accounts and have banked for many years. Tyndall made this big upgrade a few months back. It made the app by far less user friendly. The system is too busy and bogs down way too easy. It literally takes several seconds to change from one page to another. To pull up and look at my accounts it takes seconds to load in order to look at a check. Then can’t figure out how to go back . Next is to transfer money from one account to another takes several seconds to transfer. Once this new system has gone in place it has been a cumbersome banking system. Sometimes just to change things doesn’t always make it better. Take this into consideration when making changes! Thank you for the work you do this banking app!
My husband has had a Tyndall credit card since he was in the Airforce and lived in Panama City in 1984 he moved to Illinois in 1991 still had his Tyndall credit card .Almost 30 years later we still have this credit card . Tyndall Credit Union has been great to work with . We will be looking into a car loan through them as well.
I can think of no reason why Tyndall would of taken there online banking app and throw it back into the dark ages like it did a few months back I can’t hardly use it anymore it’s only set for phone use now but was ipad computer friendly before where u could actually see handful of transactions but as it is now it’s impossible you can only see the last couple transactions on your screen it’s horrible to navigate around with such little info being displayed on the screen.
The only major problem that I get with the Tyndall mobile banking app is that transfers to my family member, do not sure if it was. I are my family member, who transferred a particular sum of money to a particular account. this has caused me issues before, since I sometimes transfer money to a family member and vice versa. Please fix this issue of anonymous transfer, not showing who transferred the sums of money, or from which account the money was transferred.
Since you’ve changed to new app it’s been slower than the old app and much more trouble. I’ve logged on several times where it tells me I have no accounts. That’s real good for people with heart trouble or stroke history to open the app to see NO ACCOUNTS. I then have to try one or two more times to get my accounts up. That’s only a few complaints. This is not the quality I would expect from Tyndall and it’s been like this since you changed over.
When trying to access my account, about every other month it refuse my password. I have to get a new one to use it. This happened 4 times in last 10 months. On my wife account it locks her account. Have to go to office to get it in locked. Two months later, she's locked out again. Using Tindell video app no help. It never connects to anyone. Worse then using the phone. On hold for ever. I keep setting auto pay on my credit card but it doesn’t get paid. They just want to keep collecting interest for not paying on time.
Who ever made the app needs to work on it more, I have way to many times where the app will not let me log in and I have to wait ether a couple hours to maybe a few days before I can log in and look at my account, I’m currently having a situation right now where I’m resetting my password and when I go to put in my new password it’s telling me that I don’t met the requirements to make a new password when the one I’ve made does met the requirements, I am so tired of having so many problems with this app, I really wish someone would ACTUALLY fix it to where it works right
The camera function needs to be updated. I never have issues with my 5/3 bank with snapping a picture on the first try and it being accepted. Every month I have to try to submit the check 10 plus time before it’s accepted. There has to be an issue with the software not capturing the image.
This app is very hard to understand I and another person who has this says the same thing. Showing what you received as a refund. And when you don’t have money in your checking and it pulls it out of savings just complicated to understand
I have always banked with Tyndall due to their customer service and online bill pay app being so user friendly. The new app is not user friendly at all. When paying bills it no longer provides a total of all the bills scheduled to be paid. It also doesn’t provide a balance after each transaction anymore. It lacks so many features the old app provided for YEARS. The new app is a disappointing downgrade to what Tyndall use to offer unfortunately😢
It is a nice surprise to find money in your savings account to buy food. With everyone struggling with the pandemic and then those who are still waiting for a house to be rebuilt from Hurricane Michael. Paying a mortgage and rent is nearly impossible. Thank you again for your professionalism and exemplary service. Once a week I deposit a check from work into my checking or savings account. I have never had any problems with doing so through Tyndall’s mobile check deposit features. 5 star service indeed. Mark B
App is always reliable, dependable, and allows me to do everything all in 1 place. Love it! I just wish it had a Venmo and PayPal integration. Would be cool if they integrated the Tyndall Cards/Video Banking app with SSO so I could do all my banking in 1 app. Would love to see my credit score/recommendations all through this app. Love it overall!
I cannot say how much this app has helped my crazy, busy life! As long as I can remember my password, I’m all set. Everything I need to do is included in this app. Thank you for making it easy for my mixed-up mind to be able to use, and use successfully.
My husband opened his lst Tyndall acct in 1966 while stationed at Tyndall AFB. This was long before satellite offices, credit cards and ATMs. I opened an acct in the 70s while employed with Bay Medical Ctr Hosp. In Panama City, Fl. Our joint acct continues and I imagine my acct will remain active as long as I am. Any problems have always been resolved.
It is the most irritating thing to try and view your checks and deposits for your account and only see three items at a time. The previous way you could scan down your transactions and see what you were looking for in seconds, usually. Now, it takes forever. Don’t know how anyone could see this as an improvement. Wastes so much time trying to glance, no, there is no such thing as glancing anymore, and see if something has posted!
The problem with the app is it locks my account multiple times a week when I use the correct password. I have to call Tyndall to unlock the app then I login with the SAME password I was using that locked my account. Tyndall is closed on the weekends so all weekend I don’t have access to my accounts. I call every Monday morning to unlock my account. Then it locks again at least one more time during the week before the weekend. Also, forget finger print login on this new app. Worst app I’ve ever used.
They switched to this version of their app many years ago at this point and it has never gotten better. The app is down constantly, and even when it is “working” it takes forever to log in or make a transfer or view a different account. The app is worthless to me about half the time though since it consistently is not working.
my grandmother and Aunt worked at Tyndall air base during ww2. My Aunt was a helicopter mechanic, they used Tyndall credit union for their entire life. Never once was there a problem, that was good enough for me, as soon as a branch was put in Marianna, I switched over, and I intend to remain there. God Bless America !!!!!
This app runs a lot slower than the app I use for my other credit union up north. It is frustrating when I am trying to check balances or transfer money and it lags.
I love how easy they have made it to transfer money back and forth. They make all transactions easy from my phone. Been a loyal customer for years and will be for many years to come.
I get a check every few months that the person uses their initials as a signature. It’s clearly visible in photos for deposit, but it gets rejected every time.
Great service, pretty good app but Tyndall needs to get with the times. Every other bank allows Apple Pay or Google pay, this needs to be fixed before Tyndall gets 5 stars.
I have been with Tydall since I was sixteen and I still love them. They helped me with my first auto loan and my first mortgage. They have helped me grow up into the woman I am now, very organized! Lol
Not sure why we changed the way we use the app to deposit checks but it was easier to do before. I had to search and find it. It should be one of the main tools at the bottom of the screen and not hidden away.
Update: Wish the running balance would still be displayed in the accounts. That was a convenient feature. The new Tyndall app is not good. Old version was much better. I have an iPhone 8S. When viewing my individual account transactions, I must hold my phone horizontally so it all fits on my screen and isn’t cut off on the right side. Why was there an upgrade? My husband and I don’t like it. If there was a negative rating I’d chose that.
Even with all going on in the world today this credit union has been there to help. Great customer service at the Marianna branch, always friendly and ready to help.
You took the deposit capability off of the front of the app & hid it in the menu then hid it under tools WHATS the problem ??? This almost made me deposit my money in another bank!! This should be corrected !!! It plainly says to us depositors that you want to make harder to deposit our money in Tyndall Credit Union Please put the deposit capability back on front page of the app like it was before !!!!!!!
This is one of the worst banking apps I have ever used. If you do get logged in at any moment it will log you out. When you try to get back in it gives you an error message and a number to call. Who has time for this. If wasn’t such a hassle to transfer my mother’s direct deposit and automatic payments I would close the account and move everything to another bank. Deleting this app from my phone.
I wish I could screenshot the issues. I been trying to see my account since the update 3 days ago and can’t. When you do see you account it hard to read because everything runs together on the left side of the screen. How hard is it to space each entry out? I am glad I just have a loan with this bank because I would move my account based on the app alone.
Called the Tyndall help line. Told them I keep getting no accounts available when logging in. They checked and said they were told by someone they were not having any problems. I deleted the app, reinstalled the app. Still having the same problem. Tyndall needs to own this and check it out.
This does not work on iPad, which is how I always did my banking before they got rid of that app. I’ve tried using this one on my iPad numerous times, but it doesn’t work. When I try to do things, it just sends me back to login. Totally useless for how I usually do my banking. Back to desktop for me, which is a huge step back.
I lived Tyndall , I’ve backed with them for years but it’s having this problem where it keeps saying error occurred. I change my password, error occurred. Nothing is good enough.

About half the time when I log in, I get the message “no accounts found”. I can force quit the app, re open and re login and it will then show my accounts. The app is slow and sluggish to respond. The previous app was much faster.
The personnel is very polite and professional assisting with the app. Not real fond of the app because I frequently have to reset it and it doesn’t always accept my bio recognition.
