Terrific - Comprehensive and Easy!
I don’t have any “Bank” apps to compare to, but I have another CU, and several Credit Card Apps - and this one compares favorably or better than the rest. It’s a simple, very straightforward layout (actually looks quite like the regular website) and while in some ways looking “old-fashioned”, it is very comprehensive and Very easy to use. I actually kind of hate those all supposedly up-to-date sites and apps with all the fancy icons and bells and whistles - they may look “sexy” and sleek, but they are usually very labyrinthine and not at all as easy to use as they look - they are in fact too “dumbed down”, so the average and better user is more likely to find it obfuscating and unwieldy. A child could use this as long as they can read. 5 stars and 2 thumbs way up. Bravo Unify!

Love this app & credit union!
I have seen this CU go through many positive changes over the years - and the App is high on the list - easy to navigate, the searches have depth & breadth, they perform regular update to the site, as planned events with plenty of notice if there will be maintenance interruption. The site can do anything the big banks can do with ease/internal & external transfers, paperless check scanning deposits right from your phone, and the opening dashboard of accounts is clean & up to date with same day transaction/pending transaction detail. Member services is easy to contact and they are also responsive within 24 hours usually through the message center when using the tool outside of normal business hours. Best mobile banking
I have several different checking accounts in this by far is the best mobile baking app I have used it’s very clear you understand everything that’s going on. You can literally almost process every transaction that you can possibly think of rather it’s from depositing a check to doing a transfer to a different credit union all together I have been with this particular bank for over five years it is the best, I hope they come out with more features to make it even more efficient than what it already is. Thank you so much to UNIFY you rock.

App issues
I have a savings account, a truck payment loan, and a credit card. However it seems every time I make my truck payment from my external account it goes towards my credit card payment. Every month I have to call and get the payment taken off the credit card and placed to the truck account. Something really needs to be done about this. Last month I made a payment to the credit card and it showed up as a partial payment to my truck payment. Please don’t ask me to make a payment and put it in my savings account and then when it clears transfer it to my truck or my loan payment that’s not how the app should work. I would like it to work correctly so that I could make a payment directly from my external account into either my truck payment or my Visa payment.

Absolutely horrible !!!
Downloaded the app, thinking I could apply for a bank account like all other banks or credit unions that has a mobile app.... WRONG !!! Have to go to a website and do it. To add insult to injury, after applying for one of their accounts, I get an email the next morning that says I was declined for a checking account because they couldn’t verify my identity ??? Is this a joke ??? I even lifted the freeze on my chexsystems report so that they could pull it, and yes I have a good Chex report with nothing negative !!! In 25 + years of banking, I’ve NEVER seen or heard of anything like this !!! Oh and it gets worse 😮 Unify charged my other bank $30 to open an account with them BEFORE knowing if I was even approved or not !!! Their local branch told me I was more than welcome to come in person and try again... and yes, another inquiry on my Chexsystems report !!! You’ve been warned people !!! DON’T GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY !!!

Very User Friendly Sys/Other Areas Need Updates
Unify FCU, overall technology system is no doubt, world class. Although I have lived on the other side of the country since my initial introduction to Unify when I lived out West, 33+ years ago, the innovation has kept me/us in lockstep as if up the street/around the corner/in the same city/state from one another. However, since I was asked via a SURVEY REQUEST. If Unify could adjust their practice for (33 yrs non-stop in this instance) Direct Payroll Deposits arriving on the same day as Scheduled Auto Payments Policy/ Procedures, among a couple other areas, Unify FCU would then be in line with other FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS modern day updates. Especially with Loyal Customers like I am/have been. Thanks for asking.

Love the app just a few bugs
Sometimes the app isn’t updated correctly as you use it far as back account shows old available balance after a debit purchase it doesn’t show up right away even hours later but enough about the glitches the good part is that you can change anything on the account far as transfers account to account including another person it’s simple and easy also you can change the amount you can take out the atm on your card without calling customer service soo yeah it’s a great app

Good but unreliable
Often times my bank balance isn’t right until a few days go by with no activity. Often times I can’t deposit a check because the screen freezes or something else stops it. Sometimes if you send money to a friend using the friend’s phone number, the money doesn’t transfer and you both have to call to resolve the issue. When you put in a travel notice, it doesn’t work. You still need to call to set it up. When you deposit a check on the phone or in person, you can’t view the check images. I give it a three because it generally works for my needs but there are a lot of kinks and a lot of things that it is very ineffective at, as mentioned above.

Move your money here! Here’s why.
I am based in Bay Area CA. One of the benefits my employer provided us is a relationship with Unify Credit Union. We get our paychecks a day before (Thursday) as to a regular bank. Part of why I love unify. But let me tell you why this is a good app as well as a good credit union. The app provides 24 Hour Live Chat (texting) service for any complications or issues you may be having. Most other banking apps don’t provide that, and when you are an introvert like myself it just feels great. They will treat you real good. Always so helpful.

App suggestion
The app works ok, but here are 2 things I would love to see changed. I have accounts with my wife as the primary and me the secondary, and accounts with me as the primary and her as the secondary. I wish your systems were like I had with Arvest. Each individual creates a login, and that one login brings them to ALL the accounts that the individuals name/social is tied to. With your system we have to have 2 separate logins for each set of accounts. Second. Viewing credit cards. I HATE that it does not show the credit card balance at the account summary screen. I also really wish that on the credit card information section, you would include the cycle CLOSING date, not just the cycle beginning date.

Customer Service App
I use this app all the time. I do not live close to a branch office since I moved out of the area about 4-1/2 years ago. Everything I need to do is available on the credit union app, including depositing checks. I have ATMs close by that serves for any cash I may need. This app is easy to use and has never failed me since I started using it. Any updates to this app have all been positive, making access to my accounts even easier. I would highly recommend UNIFY Financial Credit Union to my family and friends.

Unify is a great bank
I have been with Unify about 2 years now. They have always been great if I needed anything, and they offer everything you can think of on the app. They are on top of things, have a wonderful team for monitoring for scams and theft. They treat you like family, and rates are amazing. Ease of working with them on things is one treasure you don’t find at every bank, but with Unify you do. I recommend them to everyone I know, and you should too.

Declining
I’ve been with Unify for several years now and could say that I really enjoyed having them as my main bank. But recently the service has been rapidly declining. I’ve sent several emails to them inquiring about loan products and they never respond. They also changed they way you can qualify for a Credit Rebuilder loan. Such a loan is meant for people with bad credit. Before Unify considered your banking relationship to help determine your qualifications. Now they use your credit score. And now you need to have a good credit score for a bad credit loan product. Mind blown. When you apply and get denied they do not tell you why or do not mail you anything as they should be. Highly disappointed.

Not happy with my bank
Not friendly anymore, playing on their phone Needed help. I asked for help and I felt like I was really bothering her and I interrupt her. Started off going to drive through but no one was there stayed there a couple minutes and still no one showed up so I had to park my car and go in. I let them know and was told she was on break. Then you should put a sign on the window on break. I really use to love my Bank. You have new people with poor attitudes Just so you know I did go back around and still no one was at the drive through Still on break 🤔

Love online banking
I love that I can go online anytime and check my account. I’m 74 years old and they’re not joking when they say your mind can play games with you so I forget sometimes and it’s so nice to be able to at any time in the middle of the night I can think of something and not remember and go online and check and make sure I paid that bill. Online banking is so easy to take care of everything at any time I just love it

Very good app.
Unify banking app. Is very reliable with the new improvements being upgraded as time goes on. Maybe the next improvement will be made to epay, when paying certain utility bills sometimes the payment doesn’t go through due to the date being so early, what I mean is toward the beginning of the month that is when certain epay Payments do not go through unless you manually change the date to a later date. Hopefully on the next update they will take care of that problem. Otherwise it’s a very good system.

Easy to use
I’ve been using the app for over a year now. Face ID was added some months ago. Now the login experience is seamless. The app is very intuitive to use, with all the important functions right there on the left pull down menu. Transfers between accounts are done instantaneously. Online deposits also work well. Everything I’ve used so far has been smooth. Definitely recommended as a top quality app!

UPDATE 2: I had been crabby when Fiscal 1st merged into Western & the app was new. Down the road the the app was 1st class, easy to use, no bugs. Now Unify you’ve taken it to the next level! I can rename my debit expenditures in the app, evaluate my monthly budget in the app, look at trends in my spending… So far beyond just my monthly bill payng, thank you Unify for continuing to polish & improve the app into a better & better tool for members.

App & Customer Service
App works for what I need it for. Anything else I get on a computer. No crashes or freezes since I’ve downloaded. Just a suggestion for other members .... power off your devices once a week. Some updates get hung up and requires a restart of the device. Not just this app but every app. Been with this bank since before app and name change (Western Federal Credit Union). Customer service is great. Actual human to human interactions with pleasantries.

Unify app
The app is pretty good. I usually don’t have problems with buffering issues, logging in or changing screens within the app.... I gave it a four stars vs five because, what I would prefer to see on the primary screen, in addition to my checking and saving balance, is my account balances on my loan(s) and credit card(s). Not my payments due on primary screen, maybe payments as an option to view, as they were on my Western Federal CU Account before becoming Unify Federal Credit Union.

Credit Union App
Very good app but certainly has some limitations compared to some of my other banking apps like signing on by fingerprint. Also the way the bill pay goes to an older version is annoying and unusual. But overall it gets me what I need. UPDATE March 2019: they now have the fingerprint sign on. A great improvement but their Bill Pay is actually an older version. Some odd issues with changing dates or amounts on monthly payments but overall still good app.

ATM location finder is useless
This feature seems to have never been tested by the developers. 1. The map “use current location” shows map of Southern California with a bunch of markers. 2. It is not possible to zoom in and out without losing current location. 3. List view is just as useless. My Suggestion: Please Consider updating the ATM location finder function or removing. Thanks

Zelle does not work in app
I’ve been banking with my credit union way back when it was Western Federal Credit Union before Unify. Zelle is becoming more popular as a form of payment and it is extremely frustrating that Zelle does not work in the app when needing to add new contacts. I’ve reported this to unify and the rep mentioned they had an issue but it was resolved. Looks like the issue is back. Again, it’s frustrating to have an app so I don’t have to deal with an actual website only to have to deal with the website since Zelle isn’t working in app. Argh.

App is ok
The app or maybe the bank itself takes a while to update my actual real time data when it comes to how much I actually have in my checkings account. I do appreciate the updates but it seems like the app is always under construction. The bank customer support is beyond great. This rating is for the app not the bank itself. I truly enjoy banking with Unify I just hate that they shut down so many locations claiming covid. Ive had to change banks because my closest one is 40 minutes away.

Not great
Clunky design and confusing interface. I don’t understand a lot of the things in the menu. Stuff like linking to external accounts to make deposits or withdrawals isn’t clear. All of it could be a lot more clear and easier to look at if they’d hire somebody with experience to design the app. However I happen to like the bank, or credit union that is. Their customer service is always very friendly. I only use the app to do exactly what I need with my car loan and nothing more. Anything else and I will call to do things over the phone.

App hangs during e-deposit
When attempting to use e-deposit, the app frequently hangs on “loading” screen after capturing rear image of check. Forced to close and reopen app, login, and retry entire sequence. With new version, no more ‘loading...’ message and hang, now it simply kicks you out to the login screen. *** Update: later update of this app has fixed these problems.

Unify mobile banking is a snap
I love Unify’s mobile app. It keeps me in full control of my finances and it could not be easier. For me, some features I use a lot are: 1. Checking balances of all my accounts, including credit cards, auto loans, etc. And get payoff amounts, see all transactions and make transfers instantly, makes me captain of finance 🧐 2. Make payments and extra payments any time. Helps me pay down debt faster 🤨 3. Mobile deposit of checks is awesome! I barely need to visit a branch 🥳 4. People Pay, let’s me send money person to person, like Venmo, but the other person doesn’t need a special app. All the need is a debit card. Very Cool 😎 Could not be happier. I feel sorry for my friends and family that stay with banks that don’t provide these services. ENJOY

I love UNIFY’s mobile app! The E-Deposit feature makes it easy to deposit your check and you have access to your money in minutes! I love that I can transfer money instantly to friends and family who are also members of the credit union. I LOVE the new feature of being able to put your debit card on pause! Thanks UNIFY for making banking easy and convenient!

Great App!
I have a couple of accounts at other credit unions. Unify FCU has an excellent app and it’s omnichannel presentation with their website and online banking makes everything feel like one cohesive product. My only request is to integrate the iPhone’s thumb print reader and facial recognition security features. I travel a lot for work and find myself having to authenticate frequently through text/phone/email. Love this CU!

Very convenient!
Not living close to a branch makes this app a godsend! My only complaint is that, on the dashboard, my credit card account shows minimum payment amount and date rather than the balance, which would be much more useful to me. Since the way it is now would be right for the way some manage their credit, making this user-configurable would be ideal. Great app all-around!

This is a great app for the use of any unify accounts and or information pertaining to my account. It’s a one stop shop I can do everything on or if there is any thing to hard I can use their chat system or call in person and both are great and helpful. I am very pleased with unify and the app is just a great way to manage your business and life.

Terrible app, never gets better
I’m tired of the piece of junk check deposit feature. It always takes several attempts per check - if it goes through at all. It can’t read the account information on the bottom, or it thinks I put in the wrong amount. I always have much more in the account than the check that I’m trying to deposit. 15 years with this bank and they can’t trust a $1000 check deposit? I’ve complained several times over the years, it never gets fixed. I’m taking my ball and going home. Going back to Chase.

Helpful App
I've had this app for the longest time but I’m just now finding time to write a review. The app is great and easy to use. Not a single complaint. I love the budgeting and spending tools. Before Unify added this amazing tool I would manually calculate how much I was spending on a specific category now the app does it for me! Other banks also have the tool but I like the set up of this one more than my other banks.

Best Bank Ever
My title, best bank ever, it’s really a deserved title. They have met so many of my needs that no other bank could. They have worked with me through some hard situations that would have otherwise been very hard and would have cost me much. Unify Financial CreditUnion is nota cold heartless machine like most other banks. They feel very human and will try and understand your issues. I guess I will say,”Best Bank Ever”!

Could be better.
I got used to JP Morgan Chase, so I guess that I can not expect a small credit union to be as good. I would like to see my transfers and epay come out of my checking account immediately so I would not have to remember later. Plus, it takes so long for an epay to get to the payee. This is 2019. Why does it take a week or more for my car payment to make it to the bank who financed it. Electronic money should move in seconds not days or weeks. Maybe block-chain technology will help with all of this.

Glitches
There is a glitch that occurs about 70% if the time I make my payment on this app. It states that the payment can’t be processed currently. When I go to make the payment again, it will go through, but it double charges my account. Obviously the first payment DID go through. Then I have to call and have my account credited for one of the payments. It’s a pain. I have resorted to waiting 2-3 days to see if the payment that “can’t be processed,” goes through or if I have to come back and try again.

It’s alright.
This app works fine but it seems to be more of a mobile web client to the full website. I don’t have crashing issues everyone else seems to have, Face ID does work. Just turn on “Touch ID” in Menu>Profile>Security Settings. I’m glad that a watch app was installed but I don’t see anywhere in the app on how to turn it on. So it doesn’t work as on my experience. More work needs to be done to get this to where it needs to be.

Love the app...very helpful. In addition, the customer service from Assistant Manager James Henry from the Reston VA branch is second to none. Outstanding attention to detail, and always willing to go above and beyond. I’m a big fan and will remain with Unify as long as James is an employee. If James ever leaves, I only hope I will continue to get the great service that he provides. If not, then I will move on. He should be commended on his service.

We have been with this credit union for 50 years and have seen the vast improvements....great facility, professional personnel, as well as pleasant to work with...bought my car from them over 18 yeasts ago and still love it, best of all saved me thousands and delivered it with a bow on my birthday....thank you for being there for us, especially in times of need.

Was initially hesitate to use the mobile app several years ago as I preferred to go into my local branch to conduct business. However, with the closing of the branches in my state I was forced to bank using the mobile app. Now, it’s very handy. User friendly, secure, access to all important and relevant data when I need it.

A lot of apps I use end up needing a computer to perform the majority of really important things and its frustrating. You can pretty much do everything from the palm of your hands with this app and they recently added a budgeting feature so you can link and follow your balance on non-unify cards!

Great app!
Great app with plenty of information handy. Simple to use and great functions. One thing I have an issue with, If I leave the app open and come back to it later it gets stuck on this blank screen and I constantly have to completely close the app in the app switcher and then re open it. That is my only gripe and it’s a very small one. Other than that, love the app and Unify.

I like how the app makes mobile deposits so easy. Appreciate the changes to that software in last 2-3 years that improved it, Including putting Make a Deposit right on Home Screen. Camera function never crashes any more. Thank you.

Not ur typical bank
I’ve been a member of a credit union previously and i won’t mention their name but the I can’t say enough about unify. They went out of their way to get my account set up. The assistant mgr even sent me her mobile number so i could reach her to finish getting my account set up. They Also have super low interest rates on their loans. Love my new credit union!!!

App is helpful but shuts down for long periods of time for updates
The site has been extremely useful for me in keeping track of my accounts, but during system updates it’s too long a wait (2 days sometimes) until you can access the app. That’s quite a lengthy time to not be able to have access to your accounts. I would like to see the downtime shorter.

Love this app
This app is very easy to use. I am able to transfer money to and from my account at another bank. The customer service are friendly and ready to help and have the patience to explain until you understand how with UNIFY that I can get help from Customer service if I don’t understand something. This gives me pease of mind. Thank you UNIFY.

Unified for Everyone
Unify was setup at my job site and signing people up for accounts, the timing was perfect because I needed to open an account asap so I could take care of some finances back east. Gerry worked with me quickly and diligently to get me set up and started. Fortunate to cross paths with him exactly when I did.
