Smooth site. Meets my needs. However, every time they issue a new version, they force me to update before I can check my balance; and there’s no noticeable difference! Periodically I update all my apps; surely VicCap and I can wait a week or two for my update of all the other apps.
Don’t use this company unless you like dealing with massive security issues. I changed my address a long time ago and verified in the app that it is correct. Well, within the past month they sent a tax document to an old address that had my name, last 4 of SSN, account number, account info, and more on it. Oh joy, I love that info floating about for whoever lives there now to access! That is enough or nearly enough info to open accounts in my name. I spoke with someone on the app who couldn’t even explain how or why it happened, and didn’t give me any assurances that it wouldn’t happen in the future. Take your money and information elsewhere.
When signing into my VC account on iPhone, nothing happens. Input username/password and select done on keyboard, does not sign you in. Can’t comment about rest of the app if I can’t sign in. UPDATE: After working with the developer and updating to v1.0.1, now able to log in. App works fine. Hopefully in future versions landscape orientation is introduced to the iPad version.
The links and email addresses in the app are totally non responsive. I have sent them a half a dozen emails and received zero response. You can’t update your beneficiary info in the app unlike 99% of the other financial apps I use. You have to print out forms and send them in. When making an inquiry to verify they have been posted you get nothing. When sending a message in the app it fails to capture them as in the previous messages sent stats. Time to find a new home for my money. I ended up with VCM because USAA sold my business to them. Not happy with either org now.
This is easily the worst App of all the financial institutions I use. It is slow, doesn’t provide levels of detail needed, and one issue is VC ‘disenrolls’ computers frequently. Must then re-enroll the device again. No sensible flow to finding detailed info. Odd definitions of ownership on 529 accounts. No way to add parental controls to allow the parents of college-bound kids; everything must be done by me. I hate VC, its app, and how it operates. Unfortunately, when USAA bank sold off its investment arm, we members went to two different companies. Must get rid of VC.
App is just not up to par with similar services. An example is this download taking way too long over a fast fiber optic connection. Another is their two factor authentication is limited to one phone number. With USAA, we had several options including email when the phone was not available. Good luck if you lose your phone. But, if you use Victory, your stuck with this app. I’m looking.
I like the app! It’s clean and simplistic. Access to necessary information and functions. My only gripe is the lack of a landscape mode for iPad. I use an iPad Pro with keyboard often and when I open the VC app it can only display in Portrait. I either have to detach the iPad or use the actual site in Safari.
When I click the app in my iPhone, it directs me to update the app. When I click the “update now”, it takes me to the App Store. There is no “update” choice just “open” When I click “open” it tells me to update the app. If I forego my installed app and just go to the App Store, it only has “open” option then I get the message to “update now” and it goes around and around! I cannot get into my account through the app!
Love the ease of use and amount of useful information provided in the mobile app. Everything I need to make intelligent and informative investment decisions all within reach with this app.
As a USAA member, I tried to open a new account from the app, but cannot get past the CAPTCHA and the “important disclosures”. The CAPTCHA submit button scrolls itself under the Next button, so I can’t physically press it. Sometimes I manage to avoid the CAPTCHA but then the Next button doesn’t let me move past the disclosures, even after I read them and go back.
This is unbelievable! I’ve never seen such inefficiency with an app. Why on earth am I having to update the app so frequently? And there is no choice offered - you HAVE to update and it takes forever. Someone needs to get their act together.
For no apparent reason. The only way to get it unlocked is to call during business hours. It would be nice if that information was in the notification so I didn’t have to waste my time calling on a weekend day, only to listen to a dumb recording.
This site and CITI Banks site are contradictions in simplicity. It would be so easy to make it more user friendly. I have accounts with Schwab, Fidelity, CITI, Chase, Vanguard and Victory. Schwab and Vanguard are the easiest to use and navigate. Everyone else is downhill from there
Needs to be able to rotate to the landscape orientation that nearly every iPad user uses, especially if they are using the keyboard. Otherwise, great app on iPhone.
Having to upgrade to version 2.23 has been impossible. The circle just spins and spins, . . . and spins, . . . and spins. Now I can’t access my account through the older version either. I am just frustrated.
I recently made an account with victory capital online. I then downloaded the app only to realize that I’m not receiving texts or calls for authentication for login. So now I can’t see my funds this is crazy.
WORST co ever. the worst thing USAA ever did was divesting it’s big bank arm. do yourself a favor and find a brokerage firm that actually gives a sheet about you vs these crooks!!!
There’s very little that’s redeeming. Won’t even prefill the username, let alone password (but that’s more understandable). The interface is confining and weirdly difficult to “do” anything. It’s not like the investment options are particularly good, I am thinking I’ll pull my funds out and invest it elsewhere. There’s very little to keep me here.
Horrible mobile app experiences, basically a webpage in a mobile app. Login is terribly clunky and the username text field should auto suggest my saved password from settings. Half of everything on the screen doesn’t fit well. Devs don’t know how to make a real mobile app. I’m moving my accounts somewhere else.
