App needs to be updated…the radar is not correct, especially with the storm direction widget, and now I have to go to other weather/storm apps to see where the storm is and where it’s headed. I work with animals so I need an accurate radar so I know where rain is or where it’s headed before I decide to walk my clients dogs.! The radar used to be the best one! Please fix!!!!
I have my phone settings set to a larger font due to aging eyes, and this makes everything in this app truncated. Nothing scales, nothing wraps, it just truncates so I can't see important information. When I search for a location, it only shows the first two letters, then "...", then the last two letters. For example Portsmouth VA shows as "Po..., VA"
Before the update it was slow and glitchy with an add every 2 seconds. The weather alerts barely worked. It would alert me that there were “severe storms” and it would be clear sky’s all day. Last week we had a Tropical Storm pass through and there was a tornado right down the road from me and no alert from this app. Now, after the update, I can’t even get the app to open. 10/10 would not recommend.
I understand the idea of ads to help make money to cover the cost of maintaining the app.. but this is absurd. This thing is almost useless since every time I need to use it, the constant ads make it very frustrating and sometimes bog down the app to a point where it hangs up and I have to close it and try again. Ridiculous.
The new radar page interface is ruining the app. Instead of an interactive overlay radar which can play a Timelapse of past and future radar images we get a live view only. But it’s ok. I get to see where highway construction is. Because that’s what I need on a freaking weather app.
DON’T DOWNLOAD!! This is probably one of the top 3 apps I ever downloaded. I couldn’t even read a weather alert because of constant pop up adds. It’s free, I get it, adds are expected but if I can’t get through a sentence without a pop up I’m not going to use it. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone, and it really doesn’t even deserve a single star. DON’T DOWNLOAD!!
Entirely too many adds for Climate Makers,Window World, and Mr. Roger’s Windows that you’re forced to swipe upwards in order to move deeper into the app. After awhile I literally started to feel like I was opening actual windows which is what I’d rather do to figure out what the weathers like as opposed to using this app one second longer!!
This new app needs to go back. Can’t tell the difference between a severe thunderstorm watch/warning, tornado watch/warning. All is red, which makes it harder to tell the difference between a severe thunderstorm watch and a tornado warning. Severe thunderstorm watch/warnings used to be in yellow. Change it back.
You can’t check the weather without ads constantly popping up! I can understand they are trying to pay for the app but those who invested their money in advertising with Wavy should get their money back. Everyone will delete this app because it’s so bad!
This would be an excellent app if it wasn’t for the constant ad pop ups. Yes, I get it’s ad supported however I can barely get through one series of weather pages without the ads. Finally deleted it.
Previous versions had ONE pop up ad. Now, when there’s a snow emergency, I just closed SIX pop ups in row so can’t even read warnings! I have just deleted this app and went out of my way to warn others: don’t waste your time until it’s fixed.
It says a low temp for the day of 42°. Since 12:01am the temp has been in the upper twenties to low thirties. It’s now 7:24am. When do you think you might change the low temp?
Nice app, but when you want to see a forecast you have to suffer through a commercial before you can see a weather forecast. Too intrusive to be of any use when you need a quick look at the weather.
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think a local weather app could be the answer to all of my dreams. Could Bruce Radar ever be hotter. I live by this app. There are days I do not think of getting out of bed without consulting the amazing, if not miraculous forecast this gem of information can provide. It is as if they are tapped into the wisdom of the ages. I especially love the astrological forecasts as well. GO WAVY!!!
You can't use the app for more than 2 seconds before you are slammed with full screen ads that constantly pop back up and take over with every little action or button you press in the app! Sure, probably the most accurate forecast but this is ridiculous and just hateful to your users. Not even the Weather Channel's app is this rude which I am going back to using.
So far this app is awesome. It runs smoothly and I love all the features. I'm glad yall made this an app. It was hard to work with in the original Wavy app. Love this one! Thank you!
5/11/2019 - The format gives you everything you want to know in a finger swipe! Ignore the ads… they’re no worse than other apps. However, option to to purchase no-ads upgrade I would buy!
Precip % never matches detailed description for any particular day on iPhone. I have the latest version from Apple Store. Tomorrow says 70% chance of rain then forecast says only 40% in evening. Same for Saturday, 20% then 40% for daytime. On the Android version for my tablet it’s even different than on iPhone, totally different numbers. It also freezes and doesn’t open on Android tablet. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same issues. Seems like an old version, says 2015 under “about”. It’s the only version on the Playstore for Android. Totally inaccurate!
This has got to be the worst app I’ve used,more adds than the wavy news 10you can never get any useful information about the weather.Just one terrible app.
