I have no access to my account because of this app. It was working fine then said it needed to be reset then I had to delete it. Tried to download it again and it won’t allow me. I wish JSC would have stayed JSC.
App seems functional (thus 2 stars rather than 1), but is incredibly cluttered with unnecessary visuals. It also takes several clicks just to open the transactions page for an account - ugh. Meanwhile, the harsh color contrast between dark purples and white doesn’t allow your eyes to adjust to one lighting level, and white lettering on a purple background is hard on the eyes, as well. I know that part of my reaction is because I really knew and liked the old JSCFCU app, with its clean look and gentle blue color scheme, but still…this app is as unpleasant as the new account fee structure. Where is the friendly neighborhood credit union I knew and loved?!
I liked the previous system which allow choice right up front rather then this one which defaults to pay immediately! I always schedule the bill when it arrives, but for a few days before due date! Many more steps required to do this in new system. Also your online support documents are very lacking. I looked for my e-statement and was unable to find any reference on how to get to them! Wow work left to do for your team!
Please revert to JSC FCU, at the very least for the previous app. This Wellby app is very cluttered, they tried to condense information that I would not have condensed. It’s seems like quite the reach to try to look “cool.” I don’t need a cool bank, I need a utilitarian bank. I need a precise and concise bank. Now there’s a bunch of tabs and widgets all over the app… it’s pretty bad. I dislike the idea of Wellby, as well. I’m a member of JSCFCU. I don’t like being gambled with in an attempt to broaden their customer base. Whoever fell for this partnership contract should feel pretty outright dumb at this point. Smooth move, you alienated your neighborhood you were in good standing with.
I have a brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max with no issues handling payments, or anything else on any other app. As soon as I go to change my password on this app, though, it constantly crashes, preventing my payment from going through. The app will also make you completely re-log into your account if you just slightly back out of the page, ruining whatever progress you had trying to type in bank information, how does Wellby expect me to remember 4 -10 digit numbers to type in without looking!!! The app drives me insane and this is why I am here, please fix it.
I had this bank when it was considered “JSC.” I used my account since highschool and really enjoyed it never having issues. I had automatic payments set up on my account before their transition to “Wellby” just to find out that my automatic payments stopped when they changed. I went months not knowing I was overdue on my payments and no effort to contact or email me, and my credit score TANKED. No one was helpful or could give me any answers as to why and what to do. I would have given this a better rating but I have just not been given any answers or any help what so ever as if no one cares.
Waited 53 minutes the first time I called. The lady was helpful when I finally got through. Since then I have pressed “1” for a callback that took them 2 hours and 22 minutes to get back (had a meeting that started by then) and I’ve now been waiting 1 hour 48 minutes for a callback even though I called at 9 AM precisely. Was a member of JSCFCU for over 20 years and don’t remember holding more than 5 minutes ever. Something really bad has happened since the Wellby transition and it isn’t pretty.
Last week my access apparently frozed up and will not let me access my account. This does not allow me to follow my account to determine if there is any unauthorized activity. I have already reported this to the teller in drive thru but I have to assume it was not follow up on as I still can’t access my account. Please help me get this straightened out.
I hate Wellby based on very little interaction because you can’t even acknowledge me as my own person. I 100% get that someone’s name has to go first on the account and be considered the primary. That’s FINE!! But this is also my money and my account. It PISSES ME OFF that I’m greeted as Chris when I login. PISSES ME OFF. Per my local branch, too bad, that’s how credit unions work. Never mind Navy FCU respects me enough to let me have OWN login to my app vs sharing ONE with the primary AND they actually greet me by MY name. So disrespectful.
Now that Jsc is wellby I’m so excited for all the née things so come. Starting with this app it is already so much better than the other one. LOVE IT. I can easily see my account, find my account number, and make payments/ transfers!
Counter intuitive very difficult to read and use. Buggy overall a terrible design.
This app is terribly designed. It is extremely difficult to use scrolling left & right instead of up and down and or menus. It is been buggy & sticky. The old app was logical, reasonable easy to figure out. Purple is about the worst possible color to try to read. There is not enough contrast. I can’t easily read the app even with magnification. I believe I made a number of mistakes because of this. Worst of all is that security is not as strong as the app that was being used seven or eight years ago! You now only have a four digit pin. The previous app used facial recognition and an eight digit pin. Not at all happy with this app or change over. Kind Regards, James E Stubbs
I have complained since JSC FCU made the change that member to member transfers don’t have a memo line, or any option to note what the money is for - unless you are transferring to someone who shares your account - but they don’t care. I’m starting to migrate my deposits to Chase who’s accounts have a fee if you go below a minimum balance but the app allows you to put a memo on anything you do, so it is worth it to me and is training me not to run my balances so low.
I sent a message through the Message center spot on the app. It says experiencing longer than expected response times. I messaged them 3 days ago and no one has gotten back to me. Gives you names of ppl who are available to chat but still nothing. Obviously if it was important I would have called a location but still..3 days? Do better Wellby..
Dos a good job on organizing the system but sometimes dos not say where the transaction was made and also dos not give a time of when they were placed.I have a couple transactions that I do not know when and from whom they were place by
Very poorly thought out. Previous JSC Bill Payer worked flawlessly, with plain simple navigation buttons. This app is a mess Duplicate or similar interfaces but only one has the navigation capability to reach additional information. I had to go to THREE separate places before I located the proper page to be on in order to access the information that I sought.
Your dashboard has too many different spaces to look at at one time you need to slim down the dashboard. Much, much too complicated. I like looking at only what I am interested in at the time.
The old app and when it was JSC was better. Opening accounts/IRA stuff was easier, finding a shared branch to do deposits (I live on the other side of the city) was easy, etc. It’s like jumping through hoops to do something. It was obviously about money and not the customer. Been with them since the 90’s but it’s looking like I need to move all my accounts somewhere else. Fail.
There’s options for adding account directly from the mobile app, but there’s no place to delete a account. Why does this require printing out a form and mailing it back?
Finally, a modern app from my credit union. This app is lightning fast and I can get to everything I need. It also now lets me do secure messaging and send files. Thank you!!!
While initially setting up your account if you’re an existing customer, if you take even a small amount of time to try to read the TOS or fill in your info or create a password, it will time out, and if you do that too many times, you will be locked out until the next day. And why is it collecting your device ID for advertising purposes?
My credit union merged or became Wellby and the app doesn’t allow for joint account holders to manage the account, only the primary account holder. I had to physically go to the bank during a pandemic to be able to create my own profile on the mobile app to simply deposit a check. Horrible design that disguises obstacles as security. Would not recommend!
I have sat on hold for over 45 min each call and then gave up. I sent a message in the app and have not got a response and that was yesterday. I want JSC back.
I am still timing out every time I attempt to enroll for this application I had no vote in using. This also means I haven’t gotten to check my account from my phone. Any promise of convenience or improvement is completely overshadowed by this headache. The back-end of this work should’ve been done before I was forced to stop using the JSCFCU application.

No cross reference to my JSC Accounts. Wellby isn’t smart enough to have my address. Too much garbage. No easy way to log out. What ever happened to KISS (KeepItSimpleStupid)!? Yeah with time I guess I’ll figure it out but when I only use the app once a month or less every time will be a lesson in frustration I’m sure. :(.
Mobile deposit has been broken for 3 days at least. Highly inconvenient for those who rely on that functionality. It’s unprofessional and concerning to let technology be down for that long, especially for a financial institution, regardless of whether that feature is provided by a vendor.
I’ve used the Wellby app for over a year. As of today it says it needs to update the app, but you have to have apple ios 16.0 or newer to do the update. Because I have an older iPhone, my iOS will never get past the 15 something. So now I can’t use the Wellby app.
This is the second time a person at wellby has set up my account for automatic payment and they did not do it correctly; Then it shows I’m late for a payment. I have had 4 car loans with JSC and NEVER had this problem!! It seems like a shady practice to set up a 4 year loan for only 2 or 6 months of payment!
This is an update to previous review. I can not get the latest app update for my iPhone since I have iPhone 7 Plus. Seems like both Apple and Wellby have abandoned us older iPhone users. A workaround is to navigate to the website and sign in from there. It seems to work okay .
Can’t deposit a check vis the app the app crashes. Can’t deactivate a card, the app also crashed. App is completely useless if all it’s functions don’t work properly. Yes I’ve restarted my phone, and have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it just to run into the same issues.
The present online system is a nightmare. The call center tried very hard to help me but there was no resolution to the problem. I was trying to transfer from my primary checking account to an external account. This maybe the final push towards closing this account.
I have been successfully making loan payments through the Wellby over the last year, however with this new version requires 16.0, which Apple has not pushed out yet. This has left me out of making payments through the App.
Since December 2021 the app is giving me errors and I can’t see my loan updated payments. What do I need to do next? Is there a new update? Does it update by itself? I never had this issue with the other system.
Going from JSC to Wellby has been like doing a 180. Poor customer service and constant changes to their policies. Tellers treat my transactions differently. The transition had to be tedious and difficult and unfortunately they still have so many things to iron out.
Terrible online as well as app. Now requiring new password every 90 days. How outdated is that! Just spent over an hour with an agent helping to just sign into my account. This is not the first time this has happened. I HATE this new Wellby system. Extremely user UNFRIENDLY!’

Havent been able to access my account for multiple days, epic! every time you log in youre going to get a different error and if you want to resolve it you have to call so screw everyone who has a day job
