If you’re going to be using Instagram extensively and care enough to use this to enhance your page, just pay the pro fee. It’s less than $4 USD, which is around the average price of a coffee. There are claims that using this app to split images reduces the quality of the resulting split images. I have not noticed any drop in image resolution. For the intended purpose (of posting on Instagram and viewing images on smaller screens) this is fine. Don’t use this app to split your professional photography for gallery prints... Simple, easy to use app.
The app only lets you post two photos and save two photos. After that you have to pay. That’s not two WHOLE photos either. That’s one photo cut up into squares and each square is one photo. So if you use the layout with nine squares you basically waste your time posting less than half of the photo before you realise you have to delete the posts and download another app.
You Can Only Split 2 Photos before a message letting you know to Go Pro at $7.99 in order to gain lifetime use pops up & ends your project. I’m using it for a Non-Profit Companies Social Media account that I volunteer to assist, so was still just testing to see if this App is a good way to create more interest. However, I didn’t even get to post my 2nd Freebie Split photo, since I went back to do some edits before Splitting the updated image then was told, no more Free Photo Splits for me, Lol. Well Ok, the App works decently well & I would have given 4 stars if being at all upfront about needing to $Go Pro for the ability to post more than two pics.
This app is amazing and it works perfectly and the app is super easy and simple to use. My problem comes with the go pro feature. You have a “trial” where you can get 2 images made for free then you have to pay a one time fee of 13 dollars. There would be no problem if it weren’t the fact that this is a one thing tool doesn’t help with anything else apart from something you can find on multiple other apps and sites I would be ok with the go pro feature as well if it were more like a ad free type of thing and you get ads with every use of the app that would make a lot more sense. Thank you for your time and have a great day
I use this to split my photos and then pair my work with another app to add text, so I don’t use this to post to Instagram, only split photos and save them. But with the newest iPhone OS upgrade 14.2, it now makes all the apps ask permission to access photos. I believe this causes me to not be able to save photos after splitting them, because saving within the app freezes it in “working” mode, and I usually force quit to get rid of that screen and start over. I paid for the pro app (which I found useful) and now can’t use it at all.
I downloaded this app because it was by far the best choice for privacy, at least based on the description in the App Store. Once using it though, there’s a limit before you have to pay a $20 lifetime subscription fee to continue using the app. I paid the $20 lifetime subscription against my better judgement, only to once again be unable to use the app unless I granted full access to my photos, which I refused to do. Emailed the developer for a refund based on deceptive data privacy description and of course have heard nothing back.
I was using the free version, like all the other apps lets you split and pasted for free, but when I was about to post my last photo it wouldn't let me unless I buy the pro package otherwise after 20 minutes of editing the photo I wouldn't be able to finish posting the one last grid on IG!!!!!
This app did exactly what I needed it to do. Other apps required me to pay a fee to post to Instagram with no other option for saving the images and posting myself outside of the app. This app made everything a breeze and without a fee!
It would be *super great* to have additional split options. Mainly a 2x2 to make up a square image. I run a large number of social media accounts, Instagram being one and sometimes I play with the layout of the grid in ways your app has definitely made easier. I would like to urge you to have more options to expand these possibilities. Your app is great, I just want more, please! :) Thanks a bunch.
I just recently downloaded this app looking forward to creating grid style images to make my insta page pop, but when you go to hit the ‘save’ button, IT DOES NOT SAVE. It will constantly be “working” and the second you navigate away from the app, it stops and you have to start over again. I waited 10 mins while it was “working” thinking it might help, ya know to give the app the benefit of the doubt, but it did not help AT ALL. If it takes more than 2 minutes to download, it’s not worth it.
Confused: 1.99, 4 or 5.99?!? Also I posted two pictures. They looked fine, but the second day they were out of order. Can anyone explain? If this can not be fixed I would like a refund. Thank you
I’m pretty tech-savvy. My first post looks good, but most people do not know how to view the entire post to get the full effect ... they only see one part of the grid and can’t tell what I’ve posted. And no way to tell which of the pics is the main one to leave a comment, so getting different likes and comments/questions on different squares of the grid. Oh well ...
So I paid for the pro version and the app worked at first now when I go to use it and it takes me to the homepage of the app and then when I go to select photo, none of my photos are there in the gallery just a few.. so I am unable to use the app because you can’t even select the photo you want. Funny how this didn’t start happening until I paid for the pro version.
Splits photos effectively but only two times before making you pay a ridiculous $15 to upgrade to the pro version. Wish I had seen it coming but they do an awful job of forewarning this. Learning to split photos yourself takes 10 minutes and is free, so I would not recommend this app.
It says it’s free but you can only split two photos before you have to pay 10 whole freaking dollars. It was pretty nice I wish it would center things a little better. I’ll be deleting the app because I don’t wanna pay 10 dollars just to make my instagram look a little fancier but for the two photos I did split, they were fine just a little annoying to post.
This app was really cool to do a simple photo split, but lacks features and functionality to be a paid app. It is a rip off.. the features are that of a free app without a sense of development. For instance if you want a horizontal 3x2 your good. If you want a vertical 2x3 its a pain. You have to rotate the pic, save..then go back and re-rotate each individual pic before posting. Such a simple functionality that should be a part of the app. I wasted my money on this one..
Very easy to use and to the point! very good results, so far highly recommended if you want to make big Ig posts (ie one pic takes up 9 or even 12 regular frames)
It allows u to share two different photos for free and then literally can’t use the app for anything without paying the fee. Yea it’s only 4 dollars which is not much , but why not make this a known paid app ? It’s a waste of time . Apps that do this type of scheme , although from their point of view is understandable, though actually makes me delete an find another app even if I have to pay simply bc u get a FREE app that u can do ZERO with until u PAY!
Update: Regarding the developer response. I am using the SAME image and comparing. A shot taken on the iPhone XS Max. The image cropped manually vs your app. Your app reduces the image quality, period. The Good: Easy to use. The Bad: The claim that it does not reduce the image quality is false. I have run repeated side by side comparison tests of the same source image cropped manually vs with this app and another similar app. While this one does well it does NOT retain the image quality. The Ugly: Your image zoomed in after processing it through this app. The Summary: Good idea. Works well enough and hopefully one day lives up to its claims. I would be happy to change my score if they remove that false claim. It’s an otherwise well designed app.
I looked at a couple of images in the app to decide and when I looked at the 3rd and when I spilt it and tried to download the final, 9th tile, it asked me to purchase. Not the best try to buy feature. It should be based on downloading all tiles from 2 images and NOT based on splitting 2 images. I want to see these 2 examples posted to Instagram - now I have nothing.
Flawless does the job perfect, just make sure before you start adding the spliced images to insta you make your instagram posts even so u might have to add 1 or 2 posts (pics)
It’s a really great app to use for splitting photos for Instagram. You can choose from different layouts for splitting depending on how many posts you want to make. However, you only get to split 2 photos before paying for the pro option.
I run a large followed instagram account and began creating a puzzle feed using this app to slice apart my feed I make on InDesign. The app crashes everytime I upload my document to be sliced. It was working before so I already have some of the feed posted but now I have contented created and this app will not let me even slice it. I even have already bought the premium version which was a waste since I cant even use it. 👎🏻
My photos would split and upload while the free version operated. I then decided to purchase the pro plan. Well, once I exchanged money for pro service the app won’t load a single split photo... I believe I’ve just paid for the usage of the free sample and am now hopeful the developers pay attention to whatever bug takes money for no service at all.
Tried splitting a pic - it scrambled the image. The image was completely out of order. So I watched the tutorial again. I tried a second time. Same result - scrambled image. I tried a different picture and was prompted to pay, because you only get two “free” splits. This is exactly why people don’t like paying for apps upfront. Glad I had the opportunity to see if this would work properly before paying.
I don’t know what happened but it’s not allowing me the option to share on IG. The first time it worked well when I went and pressed on the picture but now it’s not giving me the option, any help? Thanks
It works good with no problems. Currently you can only upload 1 split photo at a time. Can you guys please add the option to upload multiple split photos all at one time? Thanks guys 👍
You only get 2 free pictures to export, and then you have to pay for the full version. Sorry, but this app is not worth $15-16. There are way better apps that serve the same purpose, but have more options (custom grid sizing, filters, add text, etc), and they don’t even cost that much. What a rip off
It’s intuitive and, as such, easy to use. Unfortunately, if you split a picture and post a couple portions and you want to wait a few minutes, the current split has vanished and if you choose the same picture again and same split, it doesn’t line up. Need to fix the bug so it doesn’t do that.
Paid for split, but did not allow me to add to IG.
I paid for a split and when I tried to route it to my Instagram account it prompted me to pay again, so I double checked if my first purchase was charged and it was. Seems a bit sketchy and untrustworthy. I will be forwarding this information to Apple and requesting a refund. Seems like they have a good scam going.
I installed this app because I thought it to be a good photo splitting app. I did my free trial and it came out well. I spent the money to keep these splits going and I haven’t gotten a quality split since. Such a bad product and a total waste of my money. When you split all the pictures become so grainy and have such low quality. Don’t be fooled.
Doesn’t allow me to post anything. Box keeps popping up saying something about posting only 2 photos with free version but even when selecting only 2 photos the box keeps popping up and never an option to post. Afraid to upgrade, it might not work either. :0
Seems like one of the two or three photos has a filter!
Every time. Kind of frustrating. Waiting to hear about a fix. It’s not just my eyes. Others agree. Each of the double wide photos has one lighter and one darker photo. Like a filter on the left pic.
It lets you download 2 rounds of splitting photos up and same goes with posting them on instagram so that means you only have 4 attempts before they demand that you pay $1.99 in order to continue with the app peacefully. Idk what everyone else is saying but I don’t think that they are being accurate here
The first two splits are free and were great. The app then required me to pay $8.99 - and now every time I ask it to split a photo is crashes. Since paying I have gotten zero photos from it. I can’t wait for this to be fixed, I must use a different app and therefore need a refund!
