This app is very helpful with keeping track while on the diet. The lookup tab makes it easy to find a quick answer and even tells which cycle it is allowed in. There is also a support tab to clear up any confusion you may have. The app lays out the guidelines very well and helps you stay motivated! Highly recommend!
**Update: since this morning, they have resolved the issue! I am really annoyed. The new update logged me out and now when I try logging back in, it says my account does not exist. There is no way to contact anyone to let them know what happened. Very upsetting because I have been using this app for few years now. I hope the support team reads this and is able to resolve the issue otherwise for now I give it a one star.
I liked this app a lot when it was free, I’m not sure if it is work $9.99 a month for the little support I typically need. Though, the support people are very fast to respond which I appreciate. However it does have good summaries for each cycle and I refer to those almost daily. This is the only diet I’ve ever successfully lost 20+ pounds on and it’s cheaper than weight watchers or Jenny for 6 weeks!
Update** App is running fine for me now. I really do love this app which is why I was so frustrated when I lost access to it. It makes meal planing easy and organized. I had full access to it yesterday and today when it logged on, it locked me out at said I needed to buy the full access for $9.99 a month. Such BS
I think this app has been very helpful in achieving my weight loss. (Over 50 pounds in about 3 1/2 months). It allows me to track my success and it also helps with ideas for my daily menu. I still need to lose more weight, but have confidence that I will reach my goal. Well worth the monthly fee.
Overall, this app is just OK. You don't have the option to do a transitional fast day and the Achieve cycle starts with the Accelerate cycle diet on Day 1 and the book says odd days should be Achieve days, so that whole cycle is messed up when you're logging food b/c you can't choose off cycle foods...I like the weight tracker, and having the recipes and food lists, so overall - probably worth it, just imperfect.
I love the simplicity of it. I don't have time to be entering each and every item I eat, so the fact that this outlines what you can have and I simply click on each thing, keeps me accountable and tracking daily.
I have tried many other diet apps on the market and this one is by far the best! I really love the meal plans as they are very useful when you are just getting off work and trying to figure out what to eat that is easy and healthy.
With cycle 1, I was able to enter the date I actually started. Unfortunately, I also missed tracking the start of cycle 2 and now cannot backdate. Too bad, I was enjoying the tracking but because I missed a couple of days during the transition, it’s no longer in sync with where I am.
I entered and a half teaspoon of healthy oil today for my lunch and it tells me I’ve had 3 1/2 servings and I’ve gone over my allowance. It did the same thing for a small apple that measured out to be a cup. It measured that tiny little apple has 3 1/2 fruits and told me that I went over my fruit allowance. What is happening? This app used to be so much better. I’ll have to cancel my account if this isn’t fixed. What would be the point of having this app then. Tech-support, please advise.
I'm losing weight, effortlessly, never hungry as they suggested. The support I get from the app is outstanding, never an unanswered question. Not sure how Kelly can keep up with all of us! Thank you....
You can cancel the subscription by either clicking on the support link and sending them a mail, or by going into your iTunes account, click manage subscriptions, select 17 day diet, select cancel. Super easy, no problem to cancel.
I just opened an account on this app. I’ve entered all my info and add my water and food take for today, but I can’t get back in. I’m getting the blue screen of death. There’s no option or buttons to select, just dead blue screen. Color me disappointed.
The 17 day diet is a good program, but this app feels like a scam. The App Store says it is free, but it is not. They do not charge you to download the program, but as soon as you give your information, there is an agreement that you cannot opt out of. And since they do not provide a phone number, I had to re-download the app to contact customer service and make sure they do not continue to charge my account indefinitely.
I love the diet and was excited about the app. I barely started and had a major setback in the hospital. How do I restart Week 1 ? It keeps saying I completed 1 and wants me to start week 2. I appreciate any help to restart. Your app is amazing except for that one small issue.
This is a great app. The one thing I would prefer is if there was a free version with less options, and then in-app purchases or a subscription for more options. For instance, just the ability to log very basic info vs recipes and more.
After two days of having the app I restarted the diet so I can stick more consistently to the plan. Once I did, all my meal plans were lost and never recovered. Only gives me the message "getting meal plans" but never actually does. That's with the additional monthly subscription I'm paying to have meal plans!!! No support or number to call for help. Very disappointed.
I was very excited to try this and love the 17 day book. I'm sad to say that this app is a huge disappointment. Not only isn't it worth paying for, it actually has incorrect info regarding what you are allowed to eat in the recipes (which cost even more). Plus the grocery store function didn't add the individual items, just the recipe name. Not at all as expected. Super sad.
Simple, easy & very helpful!!! I don’t have to think. And it’s not time consuming at all to log food/exercise. Keeping me accountable; I highly recommend!
I would give this app 4 stars if it worked consistently. Out of no where the Lookup function, Support function and Custom Item function quit working. No support available to contact. I haven’t been able to use the app for two days now. My sister is having the same issue. It’s worth noting if it doesn’t work and is a negative investment.
Its not a terrible app, however, I am no longer interested in using this app. I have found another lifestyle change that works better for me and my family. Please stop charging me. I can't find where to cancel my subscription. If someone who can help reads this, please assist me with stopping these charges. Thank you
When adding a “custom” food, it doesn’t allow you to put the serving size or go back in and edit it. This is a huge problem for people who are trying to accurately track their intake. Please fix ASAP
The app states its updating and to create a free acct giving the option to use Facebook or if you have an acct to log in. Well, I’ve had an acct for years and when I sign in, all it does is spin and I can not get in. What’s going on??!!
While I love this eating plan and even the app...there is no option to end the $2.99 subscription...that I have found. I would love to stop paying for it since that is the promise in the description..."stop or start anytime"
I have used the 17 day diet before with success. On it again and thought I would use the app. It’s too cumbersome to use and I do not like using it. Thought it would make it easier but I’m going back to using a journal and the book.
I’m on day 2 and so far none of the recipes that I used from the book are in the app. This app is very confusing. I don’t like it. Will not use past free week for sure.
This app was awesome when it was free. It helped you keep track and see you progress. I will. It pay anything especially $9.99 a month for something I can manually track on my phone.
I can’t even open the app anymore. It’s just a blank screen and nothing loads. It’s been like this for days. Frustrating considering you have to pay for it!
I have done every diet! Weight Watchers, South-beach, Body for Life... But this one is the best! It provides a food list so you eat healthy and do not cheat yourself. Read all the info; which is quick and painless! Follow the plan. You lose weight healthy yet fast. I feel better and have so much energy from eating healthy foods such as chicken breasts, yogurt and green beans. No fancy recipes ( although I'm sure you could if you have time). I am a working mom with two teens; so easy meals is best for us! I like it simple; and it is. My whole family is doing it! No double meals at this house! This app will not disappoint.
Good, but not as good as I expected for an app I had to pay for!
There are a few features that would make this app 5 stars. First, I can't figure out how to remove meals once I've selected them. What if I touch the wrong item or want to plan my meals in the AM but change my mind along the way? Let me delete stuff, or if that is already possible, make it obvious how to do it! This is the number one reason I only gave the app 3 stars. Second, allow me to add my own favorite recipes so I can use the grocery feature with them. For instance, I want to make the Tilapia recipe from the 17 Day Diet cookbook, but it's not available in the app by default. Let me type in the ingredients so I can use the grocery feature for this recipe AND I won't have go select each ingredient separately for the meal log every time I prepare and eat that particular recipe in the future. Finally, let me type whatever ingredients I want into the grocery section. My children aren't on the 17 Day Diet, so they eat foods that are not on plan. If I can key in my own text, I can refer to ONE shopping list at the grocery store instead of having to manage multiple lists.
This app has really been a springboard for my weight loss. The diet at first seemed like a lot to remember with the phases and food lists. This app spells it all out and has a user friendly way to keep track of what you need to do in a day - foods to consume, exercise to preform and water to drink. It has a weight tracker that has a graph that helps motivate! There are guidelines and resources accessible in the app for each phase which is very simple to use to refresh and remind when phases are changing. There is support built in to the app in the form of texting. There is someone who responds in a timely and very positive, non-judgmental, kind and encouraging manner! I am currently in phase 2 for the second time. I have lost over 24 lbs. and I am so excited about my increased energy, renewed self-esteem, and am thankful for a new plan that is very manageable and allows for success! I would strongly recommend this this diet and this app!
Day 12 of cycle 1 and I'm down 10 lbs, even though I have been ill. I haven't worked out each day and I have been taking medicine including cough syrup for most of that time. I have stuck to the eating plan, though. Plan is so easy to do. I got the book too. In three months of trying to lose weight, this is the best time I have had. I have counted calories, gone super low carb, average low carb and had meals delivered. The 17 day first is a sustainable plan.
This is the perfect little app for keeping track of your progress with the 17 day diet. You record what you eat, your weight, make grocery lists, and refer to the program to remember what you should and shouldn't have. I have the book to go with it, but his little program is nearly as helpful an a whole lot more portable. You can ask for advice right in the app and someone gets right back to you. Excellent.
I bought the book and then the app. I wouldn't of needed the book had I known about the app first. Everything is there, including recipes! Not sure why others are saying they can't get recipes. I lost #10 on cycle 1 and am loving it. If you have questions, the support person is amazing and answers all my questions. Woulda been a 5 star but the food list needs to be a bit more specific! I did realize most of the things should be homemade..example French fries are ok on cycle 2 but I'm pretty sure not McDonald's.
This app is essential to this amazing diet! It keeps you on track with your meals, exercise and water intake! It provides recipes and foods that are allowed in each cycle. I cannot stress enough how phenomenal the support is on this app. Whenever I have a question, it is always answered! It's a flawless way to enter this diet... With this app on your side.. I am an app guy but not a diet guy. My wife suggested this to me I thought why not I'll give it a shot. With in 15 days I was down 12 pounds and it didn't seem like much of a stretch other than cutting out the unnecessary load of carbs. The app is easy, the only thing I would change would be to continue the weight loss recording from the time you begin the plan to your latest input. The plan and the food makes sense and the support is second to none, really.
I have nothing but good things to say about this app, it truly has all the features and more to help with the 17 day diet. The support team is quick to respond and knowledgeable. It makes the diet and the rules very clear and right at your fingertips should you need help when you're away from your book.

This app has most certainly made understanding and sticking to the 17 Day Diet. Tracking my food intake as well as my weight loss helped in staying faithful to the plan. As someone who struggles with weight loss, I love knowing that there is someone to talk to if I'm unsure about something. It's like having my own personal diet coach! I just downloaded the app. I used the book and lost about 30 lbs. I have gained back about 8 lbs. just because I got away from the program. I am hopeful the app will get me back on track. I do think they need more recipes on the app. Helpful tip for other reviewer....swipe left over the recipe to delete recipe from your day.
Exactly what i need. This app lets you log your daily weight and display it on a nice looking graph. It also keep track of your exercises list and daily food consumption. This app also provides variety food items to choose from. By far the best 17 day diet app. Thumbs up!
My husband and I are both on this plan. We love the plan and this app. In one month my husband has lost 26 pounds and I have lost 13 pounds.
