My CASHWALK review

I recently started using the Cashwalk app, and it's been really cool for both staying active and earning rewards. The app is easy to use and looks nice. You just open it, and it counts your steps, giving you points for every step you take. These points can be traded for things like gift cards and discounts, which makes walking more fun. It also shows you your daily and weekly step counts, which helps you keep track of your fitness goals. The app works well without crashing and doesn’t use too much battery. Plus, you can add friends and join challenges, which makes it even more exciting. One thing that could be better is if they added more types of rewards. Overall, Cashwalk is a great app for anyone who wants to get more active and earn cool stuff at the same time. I really recommend it!

After weeks of requesting support…

I downloaded the app about 4 months ago. During that time, extra coin rewards were never deposited into the account. That’s okay, I can survive. Then, there were never rewards available when I hit the necessary amount of steps. The developers were quick to respond on the App Store, but didn’t respond to customer support emails. Surprise, when rewards restocked and were available, my account was paused. The account was paused for weeks, while I waited a response, after sending several emails. Here it is, copied and pasted: “the service use from out of the service area might cause account suspension considered as an abusing action. If you made any visits or traveled to the non-service area with the CashWalk service, please send us any proof such as tickets or reservations under your mobile number or email address.” There was no elaboration on what “service area” is. I was pretty disturbed by the request for personal information like hotel stays, tickets, reservations. That is excessive and not a reasonable response as to why my account was randomly paused? Of course, despite asking for clarification, they never responded. So, I give up. Based on other reviews it seems that other users have had similar problems with support or an account for whatever reason never culminating in an actual reward. It probably gathers a ton of personal data, but finds random ways to pressure users into giving up on ever getting their rewards.

Be Careful

I’ve been using the app for at least a year and at first it was great! The goals felt attainable and that includes gift card redemption. I reviewed the other reviews complaining about not being able to redeem rewards, and I had no issues (I still don’t). Fast forward to Dec 2023 & I was playing a game that was linked to this app and one day it stopped recording my progress. I was supposed to get over 4K in coins and I earned it by offering my gameplay data. Here we are in late March 2024 and I’ve only received 250 coins for not being able to get assistance from the gameplay provider. I’ve emailed while being very courteous since I also work in customer service just pleading for help and eventually they stopped responding. I asked Cashwalk for the email since the gameplay provider blocked my phones IP address somehow, and received crickets. So I dug a little deeper in the app and located the email for the gameplay provider. I’ve since included my screenshots and request for help with ways to either avoid this mishap in the future or just to pay up for the coins I earned properly, and still silence. If you only walk to receive coins, then it’s great, however, if you want to maximize your coin profits, be very cautious and careful. If Cashwalk is able to provide me with actual assistance, I’d be more than happy to update my review because in the past they’ve been helpful, but 3 months of begging for help in a kind manner, not cool guys.

Very Disappointing

I have been using this app for quite a long time now. Almost 2 years now. When I first started using this app, all I needed was 2k points. You had to make sure you got your points every 100 steps but you also got more than you get now because it didn’t stop at 100 coins. Now you can get 150 tops per day unless you hit something big. So the price has increased. From 2,000 to 2500 to 3000, and now it’s a leap from 3000 to 5000. At a rate of 150 now you will need an entire month to not even be able to get 5k and get a 5$ card. The excuse is that they need to increase the amount of effort and time you spend on their app so they can offer more later on, yet XBOX was removed when the jump from 2500 to 3000 happened.(not to mention you can only get one gift card per 24 hours). So we can tell that isn’t true at all. I wouldn’t waste my time with this. Because they are telling us our time is worth less than it used to be and they decrease the value of our time, while banking on revenue from adds, and paying out less and less as it continues. I will cash out what I have and delete this app and move on and I’d recommend that everyone who sees this think twice about coming here and I’d recommend others do the same until they change. Kinda sad really, because I walk a lot and felt like this was a good way to feel my accomplishments of where I’ve come from. 🤷‍♂️ live and learn.

Price changes

I started using CASHWALK in 2022. It takes a good several months to build up a decent coin collection, but I have been able to successfully “purchase” several $5 gift cards in approximate succession when they were worth 2,000 coins. For a free app it’s really not a bad deal as long as you remember to cash in your coins accumulated each day before midnight, if not you lose any chance to redeem those coins and your step counter zeros out the next day at midnight. The developers then increased the number of coins from 2,000 to 3,000 early this year, which made it more difficult to cash out for rewards. Okay, not a huge deal. I finally made it to just over 6000 coins again and would have cashed out for two $5 gift cards, if only they didn’t raise the amount to 5,000 coins! Again it’s a free app, but it’s going to be difficult to stay invested if it’s next to impossible to reap any type of rewards. I also believe the number of steps it takes to earn 1 coin is more now than what it used to be, making it that much more difficult to accumulate coins. However, if you love to walk, and don’t mind the rate increase, the ads (you watch 3 a day to earn extra coins on top of what you earn walking), or the length of time it take to earn coins, you should try cashwalk out.

Step count off by 45%

I just started using this app because when I walk. I walk my dog I walk to the beach. I do a lot of walking and I normally rules within 10,000 steps or less or more depending on my day but I know how many steps I take because my phone keeps track of my steps also. So on September 7. My health app on my iPhone said I took 7417 steps. And what does your app say? I took for that day. it said I took 4705 steps. I just started using this app. On 3 September and what did your app say in the amount of steps that I took when I open the app? It said I took 20 steps, but my iPhone health app said I took 2609 steps that day. Now, on the 9th of September my iPhone said that I took 11,124 steps on that day, but your app says I took 6628 steps on 9 September 2023….. so can you tell me what’s going on because I’m being gypped OFF!!!! And, I want my account corrected and fixed, and all my points added to my account that I’m supposed to have. I knew something was wrong with your app. I will definitely not give any stars to this app since this is my first experience with you guys and it’s a bad one. Well, it looks like I have to give you guys one star and you guys don’t even deserve a star ⭐️ but I am FORCED TO CLICK ON HOW MANY STARS THAT I WANT TO GIVE YOU WHEN IT’S NOT APPROPRIATE… please look into this issue and correct my account because this is an issue and I wonder how many other accounts have been affected by this same issue

Consistent Price Increases

Been using Cashwalk for a while now, and I’ve got some things to say. I started around 2023 when the card prices were only 2000 coins, and I thought it was a steal considering this is a free app. Then around the time I had redeemed my 5th card the prices had been hiked up to 2500 coins, which at the time, made sense to me. It was a free app that gave users free money for walking, raising the card prices and adding ads to the software, completely fair. Then the prices went up to 3000 coins a card, and while I still understood, it was still unfortunate considering I had just reached 2500 coins and now had to collect 500 more. Unfortunately, the prices hiked again and not just by 500 this time, but by 2000, bringing the price of one card up to 5000 coins. The $5 cards had gone from 400 coins per $, to 500 coins per $, to 600 coins per $, to all of a sudden 1000 coins per $. I get that this is a free app, and it’s still giving free money, but it’s hard to stay invested when you could’ve gotten 2 cards before in the 2 months it takes to get 1 now, not to mention the fact that the requirements could change yet again, maybe even to 10,000 coins this time.

Price Changes (Do not recommend getting this app if you don’t like prices getting changed so often)

Ok so this app is great and all, they do actually give you the rewards once you reach a certain amount of coins. The thing is about the coins THEY KEEP RAISING THE PRICES When i first came to this app it was originally 2,000 coins for a $5 apple card, but a month later they raised it again to 2,500 and it was frustrating because I was so close to claiming my reward but now I have to wait and i thought you know “they must have done that just to be safe” a week or two later they RAISED IT again to 3,000 for just a $5 apple card. Everyone in the app is mad because they keep raising the prices just for a 5 dollar gift card which is . I don’t recommend getting this app if you are impatient or don’t like the prices getting raised every so often. I just might quit myself if they keep raising the prices one more time. Eventually their going to lose all their users if they keep doing this to their app and they aren’t going to earn any money from the users

No support whatsoever, user stuck and no one cares

It was good and legit when things were working generally, although i too experienced bugs mentioned in other reviews such as getting logged out randomly losing coins. The blow i got from them was when problems occurred, and I contacted them, no help was offered. My old account was locked during a trip overseas, despite my return to US, same error "only in service countries", contacted them no response, so i had to abandon that 3yr old account with gift card balance, and registered another account under this Apple id, only to find out being suspended after earning enough coins to make a redemption. Emailed them through the app, trying to explain my difficulty and nothing other than quoing multiple accounts. I am willing to delete the old account but couldnt login, and emailed tjem 4 times over the past month, and nothing in reply. Must be the worst and mosy unreasonable kind of customer service i ever have, and i am noy alone. User be warned. You better keep finger crossed that you never need to contact them ever. Will be deleting it altogether if still no solution. Cannot keep wasting my steps on this nonresponsiveness.

Worst. App. Ever

I tried this app after seeing hundreds of ads for it on other apps. I figured that if I’m going to be walking, why not get a gift card for it. Earn 3000 coins and get a $5 card, easy enough. Then they raised the requirements. No big deal, I’m walking anyway. Then one day I get logged out of the app, when I log in, all my steps were gone. Fine. Glitches happen no big deal. Then it happened again a week later. Then again. And again. I’ve finally had enough. Why should I watch ads for coins (and make the developer money in the process) when I don’t get credit for my steps? Also, this app doesn’t count your steps like other apps or Fitbit or Apple Watch. It takes your steps using GPS. So your fitness tracker may say you did 10,000 steps, but this app will say 6,000. So you can’t earn coins if you use a treadmill, again no big deal. It’s not a big deal until you sit down at night to mindlessly tap the screen to get your coins only to find out that your daily progress has been reset. Customer service is non existent. Do yourself a favor and get a different app. There are plenty out there.

Scam

So apparently the points you get from offer’s doesn’t apply to your walking coins, okay so I’ve made over 5,000 coins from offers and surveys, if I can’t redeem them then what’s the point? Someone on the feed said you have to have 500 walking points to redeem for gift cards okay so again what’s the point of completing offers and surveys if you can’t redeem them.. It’s just another way to scam people into thinking they are getting points that you can redeem and that’s not true at all.. I spent so much time trying to save up my points and apparently they are useless, what a waste of time.. Developers are making tons of money selling ad space and they are misleading everyone promising gift cards.. Got a reply and all they said was it was all explained in the small print after downloading the app.. I read through it again and still didn't see where it was explained.. Who in the world is going to read every single word especially when it's not even written with us in mind, just a bunch of legal crap that only protects themselves.. If anyone has had a positive experience please fill us in, I'd love to know

What a waste

Update: my account was finally unblocked after lots of emails and screenshots…yay. I continued to use the app and build up points. Recently I went to redeem another gift card when guess what happened? THAT’S RIGHT!!! My account was blocked again. Nothing changed in those few months and I am again being asked to provide the same proof I provided previously. I get it now. I see how they make money. They get what they want from consumers and selling add space to businesses and make it difficult for people to redeem what was promised. Just ridiculous. Original: After months and months of due diligence…walking, watching ads and collecting coins…heck I even made sure to collect while running a half marathon, I finally go to redeem my well earned rewards only to find out my account has been suspended and to contact customer service. Upon contact I was asked to provide further info, which I promptly did…we are talking less than 2 hours later. Weeks have now gone by with no response even after I followed up. Thanks for wasting my time Cashwalk.

App constantly updates so they don't have to pay you

I was gaining coins and trying to stack them. I had almost 4000 coins and would've gotten two $5 gift cards. As soon as I got over 4000 and went to cash in, it was changed to 3000 for one $5 gift card. Already slightly frustrated, I kept going anyways. I got to 6000 and went to cash in, got one $5 gift card and had to wait to redeem another. I went to go redeem the other 3000 to see it's now 5000 for one $5 gift card. I saw the response to another user who is also frustrated about this and the response isn't helpful at all. I don't use this app as a game so I'm not going to sit there and go through all of the bonus items. I already forget to come to the app and watch videos to get coins. It's only 1 coin per 100 steps walked but you don't get them unless you go and claim them so it's already difficult to receive coins and this app just makes it harder. That's fine, but there's no point in the app if I'm not going to make anything from it.

Missing coins from games

This is absurd I’ve submitted over 5 tickets regarding Family Island Farming Game which I spent countless hours trying to achieve level 20, I received every other reward up until then and when I reach level 20 no reward which is almost 6,000 coins, then on Dice Dreams another game I’ve spent countless hrs on I get every reward until the last one when I complete kingdom 45 bang no reward, it seems it does not matter how many tickets you submit they never reach out to you they never look to resolve anything, for those struggling with the same issues my recommendation is to try JustPlay, they never fail at rewarding you as promised it seems my days of spreading awareness to people in my life about CASHWALK are over, I got so many people to download this app for its rewarding features yet they just stop rewarding, beyond mad and upset that I’ve wasted so much of my time playing main hopes to get rewards that never come! Thank you CASHWALK lately you’ve been nothing but a disappointment.

Redeem points

Why I can’t redeem my gift card from the points which I earn by walking Can u guys solve this issue? This is my 2nd message about l can’t redeem my points because whenever I try to redeem I get the message that your account has been suspended because a my account being used from non service country I don’t know what’s that mean please solve this issue thanks. I went only 3weeks to Saudi Arabia and Turkey and came back USA 3rd week of march so for this reason my account suspended I’m living in USA not another country. Today is September17 Sunday I am writing second time to let you know that l can’t redeem my points because my account is temporary paused because of usage from non service country I don’t know how l my account being hacked from another country what I am thinking if this problem solve I will delete this app

They always yank the Football Away

It was 1000 coins for the gift cards until I hit 900 coins then they bumped it up to 1500 coins now that I hit 1300 coins it’s been bumped up to 2000 coins nice scam guys. At first the step counter was wrong most of the time and didn’t match Apple which gives you Apple Health App for free with your device to track steps and even stairs and so on. There is also a Cap on how many you can get a day Apple Health is a Way Better app for tracking your steps this one is a Gimmick like the Bingo rewards that’s gonna make you rich right and all the other commercial pushing apps that are really only making the App Maker rich… L.M.B. It’s better to just use the Apple Stuff there's no commercials to deal with and when all is said and done they don’t keep moving the field goal cause there is no field goal to move

Could be better

I’ve been using the app for several months now. And while I have earned several rewards it is getting disappointing as the coins needed for a $5 reward keep increasing. When I started it was 2000 coins for a $5 reward, then it bumped up to 2500 coins, now it’s 3000 coins for a $5 reward! Additionally, the app does let you earn extra coins in a variety of ways from following links to websites, taking surveys and now some games. BUT, I have had MANY coins NOT received. One was for a game I downloaded and played per the posted instructions. I never received the coins. I submitted a complaint about it and never heard anything back. Many of the website links never paid their coins either and there is really no way to report it! Some of these websites required you to provide name, email, address, phone to get the coins… yet NO COINS! I think I will be deleting the app since they can’t live up to their promises.

Actually worth the effort.

Most walk apps be making you walk for almost a year before you may even see $30. But this one with the walking, ads, and game options, you can get roughly $20 in a month. Takes patience which I got plenty of. And timing, knowing when to settle down and log into the app. I play the games to pass the time, and watch the ads during breaks and such. And of course I walk a lot even before the app. While others tend to reward less or scam you. Had one block me from the game options, claiming I violated their rules when all I did was play the games. And their rewards are much more limited. So far this app is the best one and haven’t seen any other that surpasses it.

Great but…

It’s a great app, especially compared to other ones that are similar to it. However, as soon as I got to 4,000 points to redeem a $10 gift card, the reward options changed from 4,000 coins for $10 to 5,000 coins instead. I get it, corporations expect you to always exceed “LY” sales, so in order to fulfill the never-satisfied goal of maximizing profits you must then in turn continue to raise prices. Can I suggest looking into a possibly less popular but much more sustainable business model? You know, the one where profits are “maximized” by offering quality services with great deals that make your customers want to continue coming back. Financing your CEO’s 34th Porsche should not be more important than the very people your company relies on in order to stay in business. Just a tip 😊 Other than that, I love this app and highly recommend it.

It’s a fun app with some rewards!

I’ve been using the Cashwalk app for almost 2 years. It’s been encouraging me to walk more and keep track of my steps. The added bonus of getting a small gift certificate every time you complete certain miles is a plus. They were more generous a year ago and did not make it as hard. You were able to collect five dollars for every 2000 miles but then they increased it to 5000 and the ads have gotten longer and I’ve noticed that it’s taking so much longer to get coins. I used to be able to reach my call every month but now it’s taking months and months to make the 5000 steps so that’s been a bit frustrating for me and I am getting really bored with the ads and often times skipping them altogether hence the 4 star rating. Two years ago I would have given them five stars easily because they made it fun but I do appreciate that they still will give you some rewards after so many thousands of steps which is better than nothing. Unfortunately I’ve lost my initial enthusiasm because my time is valuable too, and I don’t want spend it watching boring and repetitive ads. I found some other apps that kept track of my steps with shorter ads and have been using those more.

The app does get you walking but, it took a few months for me to even get a 5$ gift card. Now that was just me, but they should really put more money on to the gift cards or you get 100 cash coins for every 50 steps. But the app is great in general but I don’t really like how when you try to cash it in it has an ad that pops up everywhere before you have to get the cash coins and when you have the prizes for like walking 2000 steps you get like 8 coins so the prizes are kind of rigged. It will say 2,346 or 1,560 or other big numbers and you will end up with either 5 or 8 or 7 so yea. And the scratch game that you play to win coins it says scratch three diamonds to win huge prize when there is only two diamonds in the scratch card. That’s just my opinion on it cause everyone is different but they should really update the cash on it

Decent app

This app is pretty good and works how it’s advertised to. I was even able to actually cash out. However my one complaint is that the tutorial says one coin for every 10 steps. That is not the case once you start earning. The actual math of 100 coins max in a day for 10k steps is one coin for every hundred steps. I just think it would be better to be more clear about this in the app. I was confused as to why I didn’t have more coins thinking it was for every 10 steps since that was what the tutorial said and came back here to check if I had missed something. Which clearly I had. But I also almost left a poor review because having not remembered that it said max of 100 coins, since I remembered the tutorial very well, during a day I thought I was being cheated out of coins.

Disappointed in the change

I was really enjoying this app and recommending it to all my friends who walk a lot or want to walk a lot. It seems like overnight. It went from 3000 points to get the gift card to 5000. Now I know it’s the owners choice to do this. But if they’re going to make the price higher, they should at least make it so that you can get more than 10,000 steps a day. Since they didn’t increase that it seems as if they want you to get points through playing games and doing things on your phone. But in reality the app should be encouraging you to get outside and walk more. But they probably don’t make money by us walking, rather buy us watching ads or playing games. If anyone in the organization takes the time to read this, you should really see all of the one star reviews that you have received from making this big change and take that into consideration. It will be less people want to download your app.

Update ruined it. Too many ads, wouldn’t recommend

I’ve had this app since May of this year (2023), and at first I was a little taken off guard that you can only earn up to 100 coins a day (which requires 10,000 steps) since the gift cards are worth 2K or even 4K coins. But, I learned to live with, and be okay with that. However, after updating the app yesterday, I was appalled by the amount of ads that began to bombard me as I tapped repeatedly to collect all 100 coins I earned. It was on average around ten coins I collected an ad would pop up and interrupt that, which I found to be infuriatingly annoying. Before the update that brought these ads, I would’ve given this at least an 8/10. But now? Maybe a 3.5/10 The rewards are very nice, but collecting coins to get them now is EXTREMELY annoying and not something I’d interpret as user friendly. Would urge you to try looking elsewhere for an app like this

One suggestion

I like this app except for one thing. There is you have to collect your coins every 10 coins. I believe it’s really silly to have to take your phone out ever so often just to check to see if you reached 10 coins and then collect them and then start over. My suggestion is do away with the limitation of 10 coins and just let it keep building until the person is able to collect them in other words let it roll over until they’re able to pull out their phone and collect them. seriously it’s not fair to have 10 coins and then stop giving out coins because the person hasn’t collected them yet. I feel you’re cheating The people when you have that limit.

Great app- except for the price increases…

I read the reviews but thought, “hey the app is free, I’m not going to complain about a free gift card”…. BUT…. I had over 3000 coins but thought, “ I’ll just save up so I can get $10 in gift cards and be able to get something with it.” About a week later (this morning), I realized that they raised the gift card amounts to 5000 coins so I now only have enough for a $5 gift card even though I was only a few hundred from $10. So frustrating. I understand evaluating for fair market, but it would be great if maybe when they increase the prize, they either allow you to complete the gift card you are working on before it raises (almost like a level)- or an alrert that the price will be increasing in X days would be helpful so you can cash out any coins that you have. I’m looking for another app.

Double up!

This app is great! I’m surprised that you are able to earn cash this quickly. Word of advice: do the “double up” ads under the step counter (i think it’s called ‘Daily Lucky Box’) when it asks if u wanna double up i mean. You get coins significantly faster if u do all of them each day. Just watch tv while you do that and it won’t be so bad. I’ve gotten some good apps out of those ads too. Oh yea and don’t forget to go to the Bonus tab and click on the one at the bottom of the list called Lottery. You get I believe 3 “scratchers” a day but i’ve only ever won 1 coin each but hey i didn’t have to watch any ads to get those!

Not Responsive

I’ve been using Cash Walk for quite awhile. Although it takes some time to build up enough points to cash in, I was always happy being able to get something. The last two times I’ve attempted to redeem my points, the points have disappeared from my balance but I’ve never received my rewards nor are they listed in My Rewards. I have emailed support at least three times but have not received a response. To update my review, the app developer contacted me and completely resolved my issue. I think part of the problem was that I didn’t know how to properly contact them about this problem initially. Once they instructed me as to how I should address my concern, I did and my redemption quickly showed up in my account.

App erased my account and made me start over

I had been using this app for a while and had already redeemed two $25 gift cards. I was 3/4 of the way to my next gift card and the app logged me out. When I logged back in it made me sign up for a new account again using the same email. I lost all of my coins. The strange thing was that it did the same thing to my husband about 15 minutes before it happened it to me. He has stopped using the app after losing all of his progress. He has a friend that also uses it, and nothing happened to his account so we have no idea what could have happened. I had trouble finding any contact information for the company, but was able to find an email listed as their customer service contact. I sent an email and got no response. I am really disappointed because I religiously used this app every day. It was awesome until this happened and now I’m not using it anymore.

Cash walk

This app is supposed to read your steps. I use it along side my Apple Watch. My watch is very accurate and this app doesn’t even come close. I wear my phone around my neck but also carry it at times to see if that’s more accurate. When the two devices are usually 4-5 thousand steps apart that’s a problem. Plus, and this is very important. For some reason the app stole 1,000 coins. It shows on my profile How many coins I have and how many I’ve earned. Since there aren’t any rewards for a thousand coins, where did they go to? It’s very frustrating to say the least. A lot of other people on the app’s feed have said the same thing. Coins just disappearing. You might want to address this, check it out and put the coins back in our accounts. It’s horrible to have to watch the stupid people pretenders on the videos for coins that go missing. I’d rather see the game itself than the actors who cannot act.

It’s ok…

I’ve been using Cashwalk for over a year and as a student I’ve definitely earned a lot more than expected, about at least 50$ worth of gift cards. I’m not sure if it’s just to users that have a lot of redemptions for rewards or for every user out there, but the rewards kept increasing from only 2,000 coins to 5,000. I walk very often so it doesn’t phase me as much, but I feel like this change in value for the rewards will make it much harder for people to get rewards once they start. 2,500 was a good value to keep it at, now it’s too high. I felt really disappointed getting on the app each day only to see the rewards coin requirement keep raising bit by bit to 5,000, and it’s probably not going to stop there.

Blocked my account

I loved using Cashwalk at first. I actually was able to accumulate coins to cash out for gift cards several times. However, after every update it would kick me out and make me login again. I get that that’s normal after an update. However, I went to login with Facebook and it denied me. So I made a new account under my apple account. Then the same thing happened a few months later. So I logged in with my Google account. Well I tried to cash out after that and it said my account was blocked. I emailed them (which they did respond quickly) and said because I had multiple accounts on one device I was breaching their policy and can’t use the app anymore. I even asked if they would delete the other accounts and just let me have one and they said that’s not allowed. So now I can’t even use it at all anymore. 😕

Meh

It’s very frustrating that you have to click the treasure box over and over and over again to claim your coins. If you don’t click it you lose all of the coins from that day. You can’t just click Once and claim. Plus, even if your phone is on silent, it somehow gets around it and still makes noise which is super annoying….people silence their phones for a reason. The ads aren’t super annoying but would be nice if you only had to watch one collecting a daily prize instead of after so many coin clicks. You already have to use your phone and have it on you at all times to earn points…if they just automatically added them it’d be much more enjoyable. Will probably be deleting the app. Haven’t receiving any rewards yet anyways because I didn’t know you had to click on the treasure box to get credit for them.

Lost all coins!!!

I have had this app for several months, I’ve never had an issue until recently, but I have never tried to get a gift card or anything, I was saving up my coins. When I went on my app today I had been logged off for some reason, when I got logged back in my coins had vanished. I went to the app and there was an update but that didn’t bring my coins back. I have been reading some of the comments on the feeds and everyone is saying the same thing. I’m not sure if there is a problem with the app or if this is some kind of scam. I’m very disappointed though I had been diligent about walking and collecting coins, watching adds and very faithful to the app only to get robbed of all my hard work. If this issue isn’t resolved. I will definitely delete this app and tell everyone not to waste their time on it. Before you try this app just be aware that this can happen.

App is fraudulent, doesn’t keep rewards at originally displayed level

I’m intending to file a consumer and internet complaint to the FTC and FCC for fraudulent activity and illegal use of a wireless device for tracking activity due to multiple violations of the agreement I and many others clicked on when we downloaded and agreed to use this app. Because this app requires disclosure of personal location information supposedly in exchange for the ability to access cash rewards, violating their own terms of service and the agreement between the consumer by increasing the requirement for said rewards without informing the consumer constitutes illegal information harvesting without consent. For example, I had 850 coins, the gift card I wanted was listed at 1,000. When I hit 900, I came back the next day and the gift card was now 2,000. When I hit 1,700, now the gift card is listed at 2,500. This is a scam and is fraudulent.

What I don’t like about the app

At first when I download the app it was good and it was counting all of my steps in in just two days. I had 2490 steps I’m a teenager and I don’t have a job yet and I made that much steps in two days and it says you have to have 2000 in order to get a gift card and when I tried to it wouldn’t allow me I’m not sure why. I’m telling you guys to not sit the Cashwalk walking widget because when I did, they took away all my coins, and now I only have 400 but I started with 100 again and I am mad. I walked a lot to earn my coins and they just took them all away and when I was trying to get my card it wouldn’t allow me either and I’m using my moms permission to get a card since I’m still a teen.

Redeeming for rewards doesn’t work

I got this app a couple months ago and for my job I walk quite a bit so I collected quite a few coins pretty quickly, but when I tried to redeem them it gave me an error about having a VPN enabled even though I do not have a VPN enabled. I’ve tried emailing them twice but have not gotten any responses yet. I have a friend who was able to redeem his points for a smaller reward than the one I wanted so download at your own discretion. UPDATE:after sending another email to support, I attempted once again to redeem for a gift card and I received a message saying my account as been suspended due to suspicious activities. I emailed them one last time to attempt to see why I was suspended but after 3 days of waiting still no response. I wouldn’t recommend this app as once you earn enough coins there’s a solid chance you won’t even be able to redeem them.

“Security reasons”?!

I’ve used this apps for years… I worked my hind end off to collect the coins like I should. But I cannot cash out because it says my account has been suspended… I used to have this app on 5 star but now I want to give it 0 stars but the review won’t let me so have to give 1 star. Do not say contact you through “contact us” because I already did and I’ve been ignored. I used to tell all my friends to use this app. Now I just wanna tell them to find a different app. Don’t tell us to contact you through “contact us”. We want the issue resolved instead of pushed off to the side. I WILL find a more loyal app if I have to. I don’t want to because Ives used this one for years and it’s so hard to find an app that actually does as it says it will. Don’t be a fake app like everyone else. Please fix this. Once it’s fixed I I’ll edit my review and give you a higher star rating.

Developer has gotten too stingy

Was 2000 coins for a $5 gift card in 2023. Went to 2500 around the middle of the year and then up to 3000 coin a few days later. About 2 weeks ago, it took a big jump to 5000 coins. It would take you 50 days of walking to get 5000 coins (100 coins per day). You can get points other ways, but the kicker is that they make this much harder as well. The coins awarded for the advertisement wall has been slashed by half. What was 10 coins is now 5. A lot of the ads do not pay as well. The scratch game now requires you to watch 2 commercials. It was only 1 before the change. Getting coins while playing games is spotty as you might not get paid when reaching the needed levels. You can send them tickets after tickets to look into the issue, but they won’t respond. It was a good app, but it is no longer with the recent changes.

Step coins automatically added

I think this is a great app and I love everything about it but when I have 24,000 steps and it only counts 20 coins, I think that’s stealing all the steps I’ve worked for throughout the day and would only get 20 queens I think it should continue it with the points generated throughout the day as you take your steps or automatically be added to your collection bar and when you go to the app, you click it once and it would automatically collect what you’ve generated throughout the day instead of having to click it 20 times to collect all the coins. But overall, this is a great app.

GET THIS APP!!!

I love this app! I was hesitant at first cause I really didn’t think I could earn gift cards just from walking but it’s legit!! I just got my first Starbucks frappe from a Cashwalk gift card that I earn just from walking! Totally worth the walking! (Which I do A LOT at my job! I get in about 10,000 to 11,000 steps a day.) the only downside that I would say are the ads (but I understand that that’s how they keep the app free) and they limit your walk total to only 10,000 steps. Once you hit that amount they don’t allow you to keep collecting coins until the next day. But other then that, it’s an AMAZING app!!!!!!!

No double up

It takes a while to earn enough coins for a gift card but that's not a big deal to me, I walk every day, why not get a $5 gift card out of it. My issue is you can only double up once and actually collect the double up amount. Sometimes it lets you double up a 3rd time but doesn't actually give you the 3rd double up amount.. for example I earned 7 coins, I got to double up by watching an ad, so I got 14 coins. It then asked if I wanted to double up a 3rd time, but after watching the minute long ad I still only got to collect 14 coin's instead of 28. It's done this multiple times. So if you get an offer to double up a 3rd time, don't do it- because it doesn't benefit you, they just want your ad revenue.

Problem redeeming points

The app is great I’ve had it for a few months now but the problem has been that these past two months I can’t redeem my points. I didn’t have this problem before I redeemed twice but it won’t let me. It says “For security reasons, The service is only available in the service provided area” I’ve emailed them but they haven’t replied and when I look through the feeds I see other people have this problem as well. After it says all gift cards are sold out and then it goes back to the security thing again, some have said it’s because of VPN but I don’t have that. I would like them to fix this problem so I can redeem my points, please. Thank you and hopefully you can respond soon.

Moving goalposts

I started using this app last year. Since then, Cashwalk has raised the price of its gift cards not 1, not 2, but 3 whole times. When I first started using the app, a $5 gift card cost 2000 coins. Now a $5 gift card costs 5000 coins. That’s a 150% inflation rate in under one year that Cashwalk has artificially created. I hear this app used to be good. I hear that it used to provide a fun way of earning a little extra money (in the form of gift cards) from walking. Well, seeing the cost of gift cards increase 3 times in less than a year is not my idea of fun. Once I receive enough coins to earn my next reward, I am deleting this app. If you are reading this review wondering if this app is worth it, I suggest you look into other apps instead. This app may have used to be good, but it has fallen a long way. And I expect it will only get worse.

“Contact us” doesn’t do anything

I have several missing coins from the game, and nothing happens when you try to use contact us. Sometimes they have biggest reward for the very last task, then when you complete the last one, nothing happens while all small tasks got rewarded. Not sure if this is intentional but frustrating and they never fix even if I do contact them and submit tickets. Nothing happens. —— Again, tried to contact and submit an issue but does not work. Also getting coins from playing games is not stable and very last reward (biggest reward usually and takes long time to get there) often gets missing. Frustrating. — another update: it was finally fixed. The customer support worked for the first time.

Can’t cash in

I have been using this app for about 5 months i cashed in once for $5 gift card. Decided to save them for a bigger gift card and last week I finally hit 10,000 coins to cash in and I go to cash in and it says my account is suspended for security reasons and to send a email to support which I did and got no response so I sent two more emails and still no response been about two weeks I can still collect coins but can’t cash in I sure wish you all would check emails and fix things so two stars until it gets fixed then ill give it 5 stars but for now its two for slow response and absolutely no responses from support for this which is no reason for me to be suspended for security reasons as i inly collect coins I don’t bother anyone on this app.

Stop raising prices!!

I first loved this app and even recommended it to a few friends and family. Checking for my steps today I found out that they raised the prices YET AGAIN to 5,000 coins for a $5 giftcard. Look, I’m not expecting to get rewarded extreme amounts just for walking, but I already had about 1.4k coins and was looking to get my reward in about 15 days, this is no longer the case and now I have to wait at least 30 days, getting the maximum amount of coins that is. Looking through the reviews and online I found that this is something that they do often, way too often. Next thing you know it’s gonna be 10,000 coins for a $5 giftcard. Good luck trying to get your giftcards, it’s gonna take you minimum fifty days now! Deleting this inconsistent app. Hope they see this and consider bringing it back down to 3k.

DO NOT GET IT!

5Stars just so my comment isn’t buried. I started using this app almost a year ago and it was great! I was even making purchases for extra coins. Then they bumped up the coins need to redeem, TWICE. It’s more than doubled now. It’s a waste of time! You’d have to max out your steps for 2 1/2 months to redeem a $5 gift card. Don’t waste your time! There are so many others out there that are actually worth your time. I’m hoping developers see how upset we all are and take the coins needed back down before I delete for good. We’ll see. They’ll prove to us who they are if they don’t.

it’s not that bad

so the app is pretty good, and you can get coins by walking and then redeeming them, but you can only get about 100 coins a day if you walk 10,000 steps. the gift cards cost like 3,000 for a $5 gift card and it takes forever to get that many coins. also, PLEASE MAKE IT CONNECT TO HEALTH PROPERLY!! the app said i had 4 thousands something steps, but then health said i had 6 thousand. it like cheats you. also, i and many other people i’ve heard from would really appreciate if you could make it connect to your apple watch to track your steps properly without needing to carry your phone everywhere with you. thank you, and please fix this.

Don’t waste your time.

App USED to be good, those days are over. Price increases constantly and earning coins getting harder. Just save yourself the time and avoid altogether. First Edit: Responding to developers comment — if you’d like it to be sustainable for your USERS raising prices isn’t the way. Try again. Second Edit: Again there’s zero merit to your response. The experience previously was abysmal at best and the ONLY thing you had was the fair pricing. When I downloaded this app (maybe a little over a year ago) prices were much less, 350% less actually. A fair attempt at a rebuttal, but still - you lose. Third edit: there is not a single user on the platform or that has ever been on the platform that thought; “Wow you know what would make the experience on this app better? If they raised the prices 350%.” Do better.
