I am blown away by Damus and its incredible features! It's nothing like Twitter! The ability to have uncensored and decentralized conversations is a game-changer. The user experience is seamless, and I love the fact that I can earn sats for my contributions. I love the fact that Damus is not controlled by any government or corporation, it gives me a sense of freedom knowing that my thoughts and opinions are not being monitored or censored. The platform's interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it easy for users to join in on the discussions. The community on Damus is diverse, and I have had the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world. What sets Damus apart from other social media platforms is the ability to stack sats. This is a fantastic incentive to participate in the community and add value to the conversations. The more you engage and contribute, the more you can earn. It's a win-win situation! In conclusion, Damus is an amazing social media app that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new platform that is uncensored, decentralized, and rewards users for their contributions. It's a six-star app, and I can't wait to see what the future predicts for Nostr’s Damus!

With Damus, I’ve been using the nostr protocol and benefiting from the growing network built with it since July of 2022. The elegant simplicity of the protocol combined with the Damus team’s unending work to create the best client possible have yielded an experience on par with and, in many ways, better than Twitter. All of this in less than a year. One way in which Damus pioneered a singularly unique experience on the App Store is the ability to tip/donate/exchange value instantly and friction-free in the form of zaps built on the Lightning Network and Bitcoin. This is the future. Full stop. Unfortunately, Apple is threatened by a future it does not control. And so they intend to remove Damus from the App Store unless Damus willfully cripples its app. Apple is punishing a team that has dared to Think Different. This does a great disservice not only to Apple customers but, in due time, to Apple’s brand. I hope Apple will come to see more clearly before the damage is done.

I’m new to the crypto punk scene. The app is easier to use than than I thought it would be. It feels pretty familiar compared with other social media apps. The content being posted is the real surprise. I don’t know when you started using the internet, but it’s changed over the decades. The people using this app are posting positive, informative stuff. It feels like Usenet before it was overwhelmed with binaries. People send me bitcoin to show appreciation for the stuff I post sometimes. I don’t have interest in any “cRyPtO”. I’ll take free bitcoin though!

This next generation social app incorporates the ultimate freedoms. Bitcoin (Freedom Money) and Nostr (Decentralized Social). Unfortunately every Damus user will have to remove Value 4 Value "likes" called Zaps (micro payments of Bitcoin) in the next app update. Apple needs to #FreeZaps and allow the next generation of social media to be free. We live in an increasingly totalitarian world where big tech is clamping down on innovation. We are being fed dopamine and endless ad space in all forms of social media. This is NOT the way... Let Damus be Free like ALL the other Nostr Clients. #FreeZaps

Apple, zaps tips do NOT integrate at all with the USD financial rails that you have made rules for. It is unethical to disallow an app that uses lightning tips when you lacked the foresight to specifically call it out. There is ZERO risk to allow this app which does not have any touch points to the fraud-prone fiat financial system. Please allow this app to pave the way to a good future for us all, which is what Steve would have wanted.

A total breath of fresh air in terms of social media. No mindlessly scrolling in hopes of unachievable engagements. Regardless of your followers or who you follow, you’re always going to get a genuine greeting. Not to mention there’s many people you are able to actually strike up a conversation with! 10/10 will be diverting my attention to an actual online community such as this.

Damus is far and away the best NOSTR client available any platform. It was even better a few versions ago when you could ZAP btc/sats to people. But Apple just couldn’t stand that someone was doing something truly innovative if they weren’t getting a 30% cut of the action. If there was a way to rate the Apple App Store I’d give it a big fat zero.

Built on the censorship resistent Nostr protocol this app will introduce you to the friendliest place in social media history. It also has a way to send bitcoin freely from one person to another. This app has brought good vibes back to the internet. It should stay forever. It’s more social than media, and it brings the kind of peace of mind that only using an open protocol can provide. Zapping and receiving zaps is the truest form of real interaction. It’s snapping at a poetry slam - throwing change at buskers. It’s here to stay.

Dear Apple team, please do not remove this app. Removing this app would be short-sighted and would potentially cause me to both stop using Apple products and wold result in me cautioning others against using Apple products. This app is excellent and has the potential to be a part of a significant amount of future progress.

Nostr is the future and Damus will help usher in that future. Functionality is great. Constantly evolving. That’s why Apple is shaking in their boots and looking for any reason they can stifle it’s gross. Bitcoin and Oster will change the world tools like Damus are inevitable. Get in while it’s still early and establish yourself using great clients like this one

NOSTR’s decentralized/distributed universal standard for social media & online communication. Of the Nostr apps, Damus is the best one I have used thus far. Slight learning curve & so much to improve on. But, this is the future. The tech communication & financial network oligopoly is destined for failure by way of isolation censorship / flawed incentives.

This app is slick, streamlined, yet has the highest utility of any app I’ve ever used. I am very happy Damus was added to the App Store today. I’ve been testing it on TestFlight since December and have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. Get this app. You will not be anything but impressed.

Damus is brilliant! I’ve been using Damus with Will and the gang since he first put it on TestFlight and it’s become the first app I open every morning, even before my coffee. Download this! You won’t regret it.

It’s about time the world is able to actually have free speech. Damus happens to be one of the best clients to interface with the Nostr protocol. Enjoy the benefits of not having big banks and governments controlling what you see and what you can say.

What could be better? A place where you can send sats to folks and creators but there is no “big brother is watching you” over there.

Love this app, one of the best iOS apps to utilize nostr. If you haven’t tried this or learned about nostr, what are you waiting for? Dump twitter, Facebook, instagram and everything else that owns you and learn to take control of your data.

These platforms and protocals are the front line on our right to free speech. Any Govt and any Corporation that poses a risk to this right will not only fail in their attempts but will also be replaced by a system that is controlled by citizens. Tyrants, beware. FAFO

This is turning out to be the best social media account I have and I have them all. App itself seems to work perfectly. Can't find any problems with it.

I hope Apple will allow innovation on its platform like the Zap feature to tip content creators with small instant payments of Bitcoin over Lightning Network.

Let money talk ⚡️ - Pay other users through each individual post. Instead of likes, see the more meaning total amount of money paid. This app is in the early stages of its development and its already amazing and fun. Lightning integration, strong decentralization via relays, and you control your own private key. This is the future of decentralized social interactions online.

Such a stark contrast with other social networks, the fact this client works on a decentralized network makes for all the difference in discourse.

No centralised company is able to withstand pressure from gvmts. That’s why only protocols can stop censorship. Damus is an app that gives access to Nostr protocol. It’s great.

Love this app. It’s lightweight and loads quickly. Supports freedom of expression and privacy. Leaves posting to the people and not an overzealous council of administrators and moderators.
