App is barely functional.
1) Setting pace, time and distace (distance isn't even setable in manual control) is an effort in extreme patience as all the useful settings are all within a millimeter of the end of the slider. 2) App requires you to force close the app constantly so as to reconnect to make changes in manual control or to start a workout otherwise throws an error. 3) you cant trust the workouts to not skip steps, particularly the new rest steps. Constantly finding myself swimming a new interval without with no break (skiped rest). Or only swimming 30 seconds of a 10min interval before the workout skips to next step. A pace display, blue pace remote and a clock are FAR more functional than this app.

Cool concept, but the app is hardly functional
My only issue is with the workouts section of the app. You were able to create a work out with different intervals and speeds and then you are supposed to be able to click play and it will run through your created work out. However, it is constantly skipping rest intervals and even sets, and also just not stopping when it is supposed to go to the next interval. Very frustrating. Hopefully they will provide a software update to fix all of these bugs.

Still buggy
I have an E2000 with treadmill and the app frequently stops my workouts while in progress. Then I have to force quit the app and reopen it. It then makes me start the workout over since you can’t jump directly to another step. Sometimes it won’t even load initially and I have to force quit multiple times just to get a workout started. It also mixes up the treadmill and swim a lot – it will say it’s a run but the treadmill is off and vice versa.

So much promise but Disappointing
As a triathlete it’s nice to be able to structure my workouts in the app and let it go. That’s the reason for the 2 stars. Unfortunately it falls very short. The app malfunctions a LOT - it won’t connect to pool, it won’t load workout to pool, it messes up the workout (skips intervals or extends the intervals). I also do not understand why it only allows 19 intervals. To get a workout in, I often have to have 4 different workout segments.

Finally updating app again
The last update broke a bunch of things, but the app hadn’t been updated in 3+ years. So probably bringing software up to date. New release fixes some of those problems and adds a long missing feature of scheduling a rest into the workout. I hope they continue to improve (and work out bugs) and don’t just put this up on a shelf for another 4 years. Missing - - copy a workout (why start fresh everytime when I’m just modifying a part) - rename a workout - share / import a workout? - integrate with some of the goggles on the market. They already have a partnership with finis for example.

Terrible workout creation interface
Take a look at Aviron as a rowing/workout interface. They gamify something that can get monotonous like rowing and gamified it. With the cost of installing a pool why not have a software system that follows that same innovative approach? Seriously guys take a look at their approach and consider a total shift in your approach to make swimming workouts more interactive!

Needs a software developer and a swimmer to work together
I’m not sure who designed this app but it has enough problems to be frustrating. Most recently when changing paces in manual it wipes out accumulated distance.

Much improved
I was one of the complainers from the first version. So i thought i need to come and say the app is greatly improved with the latest updates. I have connectivity issues from time to time but building workouts is much easier now.

Updates Needed
This is a cool app. However it often changes my intervals or skips one. I have also had issues with the timer completing on the last interval, but the current doesn’t shut down. I don’t know the workout has ended.

Skips Step during Workout
Updated APP has two MAJOR FLAWS 1. APP will SKIP a step whenever it wants. VERIFIED with different workouts on different days. 2. APP has a step limit of 20. There is no reason for this. ALL iPhones and devices have plenty of memory nowadays. As an APPLE Developer, these should be VERY easy to fix as well as other flaws documented in these reviews for as much as the FitAtHome costs.

Distance calc broken
Hadn’t used the app in a while and started again recently. It appears to be miscalculating the distance based on the pace and duration. Eg. 2:07 min/100m pace for 30 min says 312 meters which is clearly wrong. Hopefully a simple fix.

Sad
Every complaint listed remains - it just doesn’t work except for rare occasions, and then is buggy and cumbersome at best. It’s profoundly disappointing to spend $70k on equipment to only afterwards discover the company that took your money will not invest in real software to operate your investment. Come on watkins/endless pools - either provide robust working applications or release your API so that someone who cares can develop for the people whose money you took. If you’re considering buying an endless pools product, believe these reviews before giving them your hard earned money for faulty products.

Stops working!!!
I have add the swim spa and app for two years but lately it either ends my workout early or it appears to end but keeps going and I don’t get the correct data at the end. Needs serious upgrading. Not suffice t technology considering the price of the spa and equipment to enable the app in the first place

New release is not good (Update: Getting better!)
While this app used to be extremely reliable, the latest update has made it almost unusable. First, it completely deleted all of my prior workouts when it updated. Then, when I finally got that set up again, the screen goes off during the workout, so you can’t see how much time you have left in a particular portion of your workout. As well, like the other review mentioned, it doesn’t even follow the order of your workout. Sometimes it simply skips portions of workouts, then stops as if it reached the end. This really needs to be looked at again. Update: I don’t know if the app was worked on or not, but I have gone over a week now with the app no longer skipping portions of my workout or stopping mid-workout. The only remaining issue is the app going to sleep, keeping you from seeing where you are in your workout. However, I did find how to prevent my phone from going to sleep, which has helped.

New version is a step backwards
The old version worked, mostly. Sometimes I would have trouble connecting or getting the workout to load, and occasionally I would have to both reboot the pool and my wi-fi to get it to work. But probably 70% of the time, it worked on the first try. Still not *good* but tolerable. I would have given it maybe 2 1/2 stars. The new version NEVER works on the first try. I usually have to try to load the workout 4-5 times before it actually starts the current. Also, the old version prevented the iPad from going to sleep, so if I wanted to see how much time I had left, I could just glance up and check. With the new version, the iPad goes to sleep, so in order to look at the timer, I would have to stop swimming, dry my hands, and unlock the iPad. There may be a setting somewhere to fix this, but if there is, I have not found it. For as much as we (Endless Pool owners) invest in these machines, I would think they would have decent, functional software. I would also think they would be sure that a new version of an app is actually better than the old version prior to release. Not only is this version worse, but I had to re-enter all my old workouts because they do not transfer. I do appreciate the heads-up from EP so I was able to screenshot them, but it was still a pain, and I have a hard time believing that this was unavoidable.

Latest release unreliable
App worked quite well until the most recent version was made available (maybe 5 stars back then, only 1 or 2 today). App now sometimes quits in the middle of a workout. Sometimes the app stops a workout within seconds of it being launched. One workout showed I was in step -1 of 2. I have a call into Endless Pools tech support. This app, if it can work reliably, could be a great addition to those of us who swim in an Endless Pool. Maybe data about a workout could be saved for future analysis. Maybe data could be shared with HealthKit. So many possibilities but basic reliability needs to be solid first.

Very pleased
I just added a fastlane pro to my pool and the app is a big plus. The app lets me capitalize on the unique features of stationary swimming (like pace control). I can set up playlists (bone conduction headset) to match my stroke rate at each interval. I had some intermittent connection problems when connecting to the endless pool Wi-Fi, but now I connect through our home Wi-Fi and I haven’t had any connection problems in the week since. It would be nice if it saved my past workouts or at least total distance for the year.

Disappointed Endless Pool Lover
I love my EP. I can’t say the same about this app. So many careless issues: —no connectivity to Apple, Garmin, Training Peaks training calendars —inability to edit names of workouts —no ability to add more than 20 intervals? Are you kidding me? —And rest intervals count as an interval? —no ability to edit the name of a workout you have constructed after inputting it? —No ability to import workouts from other platforms —Please, have a swimmer use this software and then edit it. Quite frankly for the money we spend on our EP’s we deserve more.

Did the impossible: made it worse
They didn’t listen to any user feedback. No .fit file integration (Strava, TrainingPeaks…), still have to manually add repeats. Worse, the distance counter resets every time you pause current and app doesn’t override screen sleep settings so either you go into settings to disable sleep or it goes black after a few minutes. Please just publish an SDK so other developers can take a crack at this.

Good start but could be great
I want this app to work with other fitness apps (Polar, Strava, Apple Health, Garmin, etc) and to log you workouts. For instance, after completing a swim the app would provide a prompt to save your swim data (date, duration, intensity). It would also be cool if it could integrate with the spa pack for remote heater control-but I believe the spa pack manufacturer already makes a wifi pack to do that.

Every other day swimmer
I think the app works perfectly. I use my Apple Watch at the same time and get exact the same results. I wish it did more like kept track of all workouts and calorie count.

Deeply flawed
This update has several issues. I started a workout, but the app jumped right to the end. Had to end the workout and restart. Font size is too small on iPhone in landscape view. Screen goes dark mid workout. Have to handle phone with wet hands to bring it back. The previous version was better.

Rarely works
I just received my Endless Pool in September. The Wi-Fi connection and the app were included in our purchase. The reason is that this does not work. For every 60 minutes i spend in the pool, it may work for two and then disconnects, resets and attempts to reconnect with no success. Don’t count on this app to enhance your swimming experience. It will just frustrate you.

Creating/editing workouts needs work
The function available is decent but with a little attention it could be great *Need ability to group intervals for both ease of entry and development e to limited number of slots *Need to include the ability to share workouts between different devices and different users. A bonus would be a hosted community where workouts could be shared *Include an in workout feature to allow user to skip an interval Please update this app for the loyal community of Endless Pool users.

Better than nothing, but...
If you have an Endless Pool with this feature, then this app is already paid for and IMO, it’s definitely better than just having the blue remote control with on/off & up/down. That said, you’ve already got probably about $40k invested in your EP that you’ve forked over to EP and it’s authorized installer and you’ve spent whatever the upcharge was to add this functionality to your EP itself. The part that’s lacking is the app. Specifically, the UI/UX...this app needs redevelopment with involvement by a serious end user who also has UI/UX experience. In the alternative, EP could host a focus group via Zoom, etc. and we could get the requirement specifications dialed in. Aside from the app being a poor piece of development code, what’s really a drag — and this isn’t EP’s fault — is that even in a waterproof case, you can’t put your iPad on the bottom of the pool and have the app control the turbine via WiFi because WiFi won’t go through even an inch of water...I’ve tried all kinds of placement options and cannot get my waterproofed iPad into a position where it can both 100% bulletproof not lose WiFi connectivity to the turbine’s controller unit _AND_ allow me to see where I’m at on the app without interrupting my rhythm. EP needs to figure-out a way that one can view the app’s screen and one’s progress through a complex interval drill one’s programmed without requiring any break in concentration or rhythm...this sould be effortless...if that requires a waterproof wired connection, I’d be 100% OK with that.

What happened to this app?
This app was working great with my pool. Whatever update just happened just removed my ability to see where I was in an interval and quit the app mid work out. Not only that but the font is smaller. Downdate as far as Im concerned. Thanks a bunch!

Useless after the update
It was a decent, but very limited app. After the update it’s useless. When you change speed the distance resets to zero.

Not worth the effort to download
A waste of time. Maybe some one can come up with a simple app that just counts strokes! We can calculate distance from that.
