If I sign up with my personal email, which is at a domain I own, it assumes it’s a company email and won’t allow me to add my actual company email. If I switch to my company email it says add a personal email to sign in with, thus the loop of stupidity your engineers have coded you into, you can’t assume all email addresses that aren’t gmail etc are company emails.
I used the website a lot during the job hunts and got very valuable information especially when it came to salary and salary negotiations. The app is seamless, overall feels well and flows. The onboarding isn’t that bad, i’ve seen these with other apps but levels handled it much better for this type of account structure. Overall great experience and will definitely recommend!
I enjoyed seeing the salary transparency for my company and seeing market salaries so I could make the right career decisions. The efforts to keep all data recent and more importantly, accurate makes it a must for people in the tech industry. UI is also great and easy to navigate.
Finally on the App Store! Fell in love with levels website, so glad to have it even more accessible. Also love the work community feature and the real time feed to see posts/tech updates. I can see this become tech Twitter 2.0
Nice app that helps me quickly understand salaries for my subfield and track what’s going on in the industry. Data is really good and people in the forums are helpful, Would like it if there was an easy way to understand which communities exist within the app.
The app is so much better now. Love that I can view specific company salaries, charts, and visuals all from a view taps. Just need the charts to be a bit snappier and I don’t think I’ll be using the mobile website ever again.

App is really good. They fixed a lot of the bugs from before. It’s super convenient when I’m curious about some job salaries😭. Cant wait for this to help me find my next job!
The conversations and salary info is very useful, but in the past month, the app has become basically nonfunctional. Most threads won’t load at all, and when they do it’s only one reply, even when there should be many. Constantly has “internal error” messages that persist even after full reinstallation.
The total overhaul of the UX in the app relative to the website changes the experience a lot. Searching for a company didn’t bring me to the page, it instead brought me posts where people use the company name. It also wasn’t intuitive to find salaries by job (I still can’t find it).
Tried to join received a verification email. Clicked “Verify your email” took me back the app. It won’t either let me log in or join. “Email verification must be complete before log in.” and email exists already.
App is missing a lot of options compared to desktop
For example, in the app you can only chose “Hardware Engineer” as an option. You can’t choose categories like “ASIC Design”, “Verification”, and others like you can on desktop.
It always assumes I have a corporate email and kicks me out before I can login. Also, internship salary submissions don’t appear to be counted as a salary submission. The app pops up a window telling me to download the app which also makes no sense
nice to see the salaries and the discussion boards, feels like the developers have really stepped it up the last few months, with updates all the time. salary in app was my biggest ask so great to see it finally land
While I love the website the App is absolutely useless and rather spams you with never ending useless push notifications. I hoped the creators didn’t try to force their way to gain engagement
Constantly get logged out. Additionally, Google sign in is no longer working at all. Goes to authenticate and then two factor and then the login just loads indefinitely. Close the app re-open, same thing. Only way to get out of the loading screen is to delete the app reinstall. Tried this 3 times, but Google sign in still hangs every time. I literally cannot use the app at the moment.
Unfortunately, this app is nothing like the website. It has no native ability to view compensation levels for companies. Additionally, the app crashes or doesn’t load many of the posts. Pretty useless compared to the website.
All the posts are horrendously slow to load, literally 10 seconds plus each time. This is a terrible user experience and really makes the app seem low quality.
I’m a big fan of the desktop browser version. What a fantastic idea to empower workers by giving them knowledge about their worth. However, this mobile app seems more focused on a social media aspect. We need to be able to look at salary data on the mobile app.

Finally decided to check out levels after so many people in my network recommended it. Signed up through the app and every time I go to enter my job title, the app crashes. Surprisingly useless and a terrible first impression =/

Levels.fyi web pushed me to download the app. So I did. But then found out there are NO salaries on the app. It’s just a blog/forum - which is not what I’m looking for.
