Love this app! I enjoy trying to categorize my shows and seeing what I’ve watched before. Definitely helps me keep track of everything. The only thing that would make this app even better would be if there was an option to add your movie/show in your lists on the same page as the info page and where you click you’ve watched/completed it. Would make the whole listing process so much smoother. Overall, awesome app
Seems decent but not enough to ditch my current app
I’ve used TV Show Tracker for a long time now and love it but when I read about Marathon I thought I’d give it a go. Now I’m probably not the core audience for this app as I don’t really care about the social features, just tv show tracking. And for that TVST is still way better for me. A sleeker more intuitive interface. This one gets the job done but I feel like isn't laid out as well. The deal breaker for me though was not being to mark ALL previous episodes as watched. You can only seemingly do it by seasons. So if you add a show like SNL which is in season 48, you’re going to have individually mark 47 previous seasons as watched. At the very least this app needs a “mark all episodes up to a chosen episode as watched.” I can’t figure out why TVST isn’t more widely known. I’ve used every TV tracking app I’ve ever heard about over the years and so far TVST wins by a long shot.
Useful, user-friendly and straightforward! There is of course more space for improvement I can tell that with feature updates it will get better and better, however I would love to see more, I have yet to explore what other features lay around, my only request so far is that I’d love for the search page to give more suggestions not only “Trending” it feels so limited and users have to search manually.
This is what I’ve been looking for in atv tracking app. Absolutely brilliant. The only issue is it’s dreadfully slow. I’m not sure if it’s animations or just sluggish but I’ll press a button, I’ll get haptic feedback a second later and then about 2 seconds later the press will register. It’s not bad enough to push the score below 4 because everything else is just about perfect.
This TV tracking app is exactly what I've been waiting for! I love being able to not only keep track of the shows I'm watching, but also see what my friends are watching! I really like the new update, it fixed a lot of bugs in the first version and added a TON of new features. I'm super excited to keep using it!
Love this app. I wish it was easier to add a rating after completing an episode, some immediate option would be great. It’s cumbersome to have to go to the episode, hit join discussion, and then post your star rating. In the profile there are paused shows under the “watching” list. It would be better if watching only contained shows in progress that are not paused.
You can tell the people who made this care about making an app that does something in the tracking space for tv shows. The check marking works well, the watch list updates intuitively, and there are frequent updates. Gotta remember this a young app that still has a lot of room to grow.
I love this app. I’ve been looking for something exactly like this for a while. Hope they keep updating and addinh features and fixing bugs and we’ll be all set. Letterboxd is for movie tracking and now I have this app for show tracking. Works out perfectly for me. It’s similar to Letterboxd too. Great stuff. Hope to see it continued to be updated.
This app is awesome! It’s a little buggy, but I’m sure it’ll be just as popular as Letterboxd in no time. I really love the feature of marking each episode and seeing your percentage of the series watched as a whole so I can keep track of what to catch up on 😁
I just downloaded Marathon for the first time and love the format of it! My only concern is that it has been very slow when trying to click anything. Has this been happening to other people or is it just me? I want to keep using it, it’s just been a little frustrating.
I love the minimalistic approach to TV tracking. App works great overall and I LOVE that there are no ads. One feature I’d like to see is an upcoming episode calendar. Currently it only tracks I watched episodes that have already aired.
I’ve long wanted a tv equivalent of Letterboxd and I think tvtime never quite lived up to it. This app is new and has some issues but I think it has the potential to be exactly that.
I love this app, but I want there to be an option to log that I’ve watched a show multiple times. Similar to the app My Anime List. I need people to know I’ve watched The Office 5 times!!!!
Please improve the content discovery features, I can barely remember what I watched today, let alone a week ago. Otherwise the app is the best there is like this.
i’m able to add plenty of things to my watchlist but the app will not let me select watch all or even a season on its own. i have to add every individual episode at a time, which if i’m trying to add a long series i’ve already seen it’s incredible tiresome and tedious. also every time i click the “my first watch” tab on a show page the app crashes immediately. i deleted and redownloaded, logged out and in, i don’t really know what else i could do to fix it. it’s a shame because i was excited to use the app, i love watching tv shows and i love reviewing them.
I love the idea, but I didn’t like that it forced me to link to google or Apple and (right now at least) it keeps freezing. Maybe everyone’s discovering it at once? Maybe my old phone is the problem? Fingers crossed because I love the idea of having a goodreads for tv
