Needs update but very good app!
I’ve been using this app every PFA cycle now for a few years and met my goal every time because of it. But now it needs to reflect the planks time to replace the sit ups
I used this app before when considering the Navy but recently I have been strongly reconsidering so I redownloaded. Keeping a file of my progress in BCA is super important to me as I have lost 20 pounds and still have a few inches/ 10 pounds to go. I bought the upgrade and ever since then, as soon as I save something I can no longer access the BCA page. It just stays blank. Annoyed that I had to pay money in the first place and even more annoyed that now I have an issue that wasn’t fixed when I deleted and downloaded it again after the first occurrence of this yesterday.
The app is very good and it does help you to track and determine your PRT score with accuracy. However, if you have a iPhone X or later the screen looks smalls. The app needs to be upgrade to the latest iOS.
I'm a current Petty officer 2nd class in the navy. This app is pretty spot on when it comes to the accuracy , the score I put in prims and the results are the same on this app. Great job
This app is good, but def needs an update to incorporate the new standards, and the planks. At the very least have it be compatible with the latest interface! Thank you!!
It's great for tracking your previous scores and seeing how you do don't like the fact that you have to pay to look at older results but still worth the money to keep track and prepare for bootcamp and see where you need to improve
Very nice app. Keeps track of all of your info. Only recommendation I would like to see is a notes section for each logged prt. So that way I can log what levels I used for alternative cardio. (I log my "prt's" when I practice during the week. So I can track my performance)
The app is absolutely worth the $2.99, and of all the apps it is the most accurate for navy prt data. (It's like PRIMS in your pocket) BUT after you spend $3 on this app it constantly asks you to upgrade. Pointless and unnecessary, screen capture if you need to log multiple PRT's.
The Navy PFA App is for the U.S. Navy Sailor who needs a quick and easy solution to calculate, log & track PRT and BCA scores. The Navy PFA App is current with the most recent version of 6110.1J with full support for the swim and bike alternative cardio events. The Navy Physical Readiness Test consists of push-ups, curl-ups (sit-ups), and either running or swimming. The Navy Physical Readiness Test (PRT) Breakdown is as follows: NAVY 1.5 MILE RUN TEST: The run event consists of running 1.5 miles as quickly as possible. Any combination of running or walking is allowed to complete event. NAVY CURL UPS (SIT UPS) TEST: The curl up score is based on how many curl ups you can do correctly in two minutes. Resting is permitted. NAVY PUSH UPS TEST: The push up score is determined by how may push ups you can complete in two minutes. Resting is permitted, but only in the up position. PRT SCORING: The Navy PFT score is found by averaging the scores of the three fitness events. To graduate boot camp, a sailor needs an overall category of "Good (Low)," which means their average in three events must be 60 points or greater. After boot camp, to pass the periodic Navy fitness test, a sailor needs to be in the Satisfactory (Medium) category, or above, which means they must have an average score of at least 50. Not doing the 1.5 mile run? Quickly see how many calories you need to do on the bike. With a database of approved bikes it has never been easier. Please note - we have made every effort to make the app match all possible standards - but PRIMS will always be the official standard.
