Read if you plan on playing

If you like games such as Winter Survival, rise of kingdoms, or any building game with expansion and almost always something to do then this game is for you. The community is solid, a lot of mechanics into the game, and keeps you on there for as long as you want. Yes P2W(Pay to Win) is a thing and it is in every mobile game but F2P (Free to play) players stand a decent chance if you put the time into it. I’m lvl 16 right now and haven’t spent a dime and I still got loads of stuff to do and plenty of rewards come every 10 minutes or so. I’ve played loads of mobile games and this one has got me hooked for now.

Enjoy but be wary

I do enjoy this game… but there are a couple of issues. First most players hold multiple accounts. This makes the multi-server events absolutely no fun, unless you are in on the multiple account game. You enter these events trying to play the game but are strangled by alliance leaders who are really just playing against themselves to gain points. Pretty sure that if you purged the multiple account holders and limited them to one the server number of 54+ servers would top to about 10 servers worth of players, and that is being really optimistic. Second issue is that this is a purely pay to play game. You cannot advance at a rate that makes it worthwhile without putting up some cash. Some special events have no way of finishing without buying packs. That said you can time the purchases to work to your advantage, but you always end up a bit short.

Favorite Among a Few

I just downloaded about 5 similar games, and this is my favorite so far. I like the mechanics of the game, the galaxy seems huge, it's not just a click the button game, there are some choices to be made. I'm only lvl 11 with 113K so far, and others have said it's a pay to win game. I haven't seen that so far. One thing I don't like is the story chapter opens and closes in .5 second, so I can't read what happens, but I am playing on an M1 Air rather than the recommended iPad, but that's actually another thing I like, is that the game can be played on my Mac.

Great, fun, beautiful

I am a fan of team based real time strategy games. I enjoy the theme and setting of the game, enjoy the graphics, enjoy the gameplay, i am hopeful this will be a fun long term game. I have a few suggestions; updating the camera in the Star System, instead of being fixed on the center, allow us freedom to inspect every detail from every angle, a dismantle all button to make managing fleets more streamline, more sources for experience, and more places to gather resources

Nova Empire rip off

This company must be Chinese because they basically copy/pasted Nova Empire. While I’ll admit they made it better to look at slightly, it is clear from the start that this version of Nova is more pay to win than Empire ever became. At least in the first few years of NE you could see progress without giving them your life savings as long as you put the time in. I played this for ~12 hours or so, got to about 200k power. At that point, the paywall was just impossible to work around. Without legendary ships and weapons, you’re not going anywhere. Maybe with a ridiculous amount of time put in, even more so than the source material that was blatantly copied by this company, one could play this free or on a budget. Stay away if you’re not that person AND already familiar with Nova Empire.

Started great

The game started off great with a lot of diverse options to progress but now events are coming too fast and take too much time. Friendly competition is fine but it should not be a requirement to give up the basic necessities in life to compete fairly. One of the things that drives me insane are events to build repair bots. I’m so sick of building repair bots that I will probably be leaving the game soon. The event goes for 5 days, uses up all your resources, and you’re left with a HUGE surplus of repair bots that you won’t use. Or you can skip the event and miss out on some good rewards.

Enjoyable

The game play is actually really enjoyable. It's a bit complicated to understand at first, but I enjoyed the challenge while learning. The more powerful ships take time to get, but while they aren't time gated, the resources needed to reach those levels are not economically feasible to swipe and pay for. The packages are decent, but not great. The vast majority of the packages are also ridiculously expensive. It is possible to play other games and get similar packs for about 40-50% off the price on this game. The alliance system is fairly in depth and a lot of fun. My main problem with the game, and the reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5, is the greed of the developers. It should not cost 15 dollars for the 30 day pack. I can get a similar pack on a different game, for approximately 10-12 dollars. T here is also no free trial, so I won't know if I like the pack for the price, until I've already purchased it.

Review

It’s a good game so far but there’s no real direction on what you’re doing and how to differentiate between what is what. You literally have to just keep messing around until you figure out how to do something. I know a majority of people would dislike that. I know that I did. There’s also a huge lack of communication with other players, if you’re able to find one to talk with. Almost all alliances are dead with the exception of a single player. This has the potential to be an incredible game. Just need to do some restructuring. But here I am still trying to learn it

Armada!

This is the most in depth armada (ship fleet rpg) game to date. If you like building fleets of ships or Star Trek/Star Wars this is your game. Free to play isn’t to bad either but a little at the beginning is very nice. There no in game tutorial that prepares for the week long learning curve. (Depending on how much you play) This game is so deep months in you can learn something new. If you just log in to get daily missions only you get stronger but time and effort are the best players strengths

Good game even without paying.

But it’s slower to level up. Don’t waste money on this game it’s all a money grab. You pay for black market tickets to ger a SSR ship, instead you get a ship that you can get off the normal black market. You spend money on resources and someone can take them away. You pay the game currency GEC too get a day shield and because the run a alliance mission some can exploit it and attack you hence taking your paid for resources. The mechanics a petty good and I haven’t had any play issues. It’s a fun game just don’t spend money on it and don’t expect support to answer you if you have an issue.

Fight on

Only been playing for a few days, but so far it’s been pretty fun. I have not purchased anything and progressed at my own pace. I am sure there is way more to the game than I have found but if you are looking for a simple space/strategy time sink this could be worth a try.

Stability issues

This is actually a fun game to play the reason for the 2 star rating is for stability issues. I know I don’t have the best internet connection, with that being known I can handle a little lag time when switching screens but constantly being knocked off the game and reloading is a lot more annoying than lag time. Almost all the other games I’ve played I have never had this much of an issue with getting booted switching from one screen to another. I hope the devs can fix this issue so I can increase the star rating for this game.

A Real Review from a F2P Player

First off, there is a power gap from top players who sped and you... However. 1. Being smart and grinding smart can get you were you are somewhat stronger than some paying people. 2. The game doesn't constantly destroy you by larger players. It the best mmo space game I have played, ive tried them all. Its not perfect, but this does reward smart grinding and ship outfitting. Beating someone who spend some money and is objectively stronger than me stat-wise... For free... Is very very fulfilling. The medium-high levels have many f2p players. Its also a pretty good community, and active discord for tips and feedback. I do indeed recommend. And stick with it, manage expectations. And you can get a LOT of premium currency for free.

Trailers that are more interesting than the game

While I like these kinds of games, and currently play a game that’s exactly like this just reskinned, I downloaded the game expecting something different (which is on me) seeing an add that made it look more interesting than it really is and for that reason I’m giving a one star. If you feel the need to make your game look different than it actually is maybe you should spend your time and energy into making it more interesting for yourself and other nerds who like to play phone games, just a thought.

Updated review

I have enjoyed this game for a few years now. Its great to upgrade ships one part at a time with friends then send them out to the battlefield. Lately the game locks me out and crashes a lot for some reason. The new Galaxy missions are fun. Also, Please create some form of notification about maintenance times so we may prepare instead of the game turning off in mid battle. Thank You.

Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. Fun, fun, fun.

Game is all about upgrades, create your fleet and battle aliens and space pirates to restore order in the galaxy. Game is pretty generous, give you a lot of stuff for free, haven’t had to pay any money to get stronger yet. Does have some long wait times for upgrades but what come doesn’t these days.

Good enough

Good game to consume some free time. Plenty of free rewards for playing to keep you satisfied for a while. Very much a pay to win format. You can put a lot of time and thought into your ships, their fleet/location and load outs.

Almost carbon copy of Nova Empire

I used to play another game called Nova Empire, this one is basically the same exact game with minor differences, even the ships look the same. That being said, I am very happy that they copied Nova Empire. It used to be an awesome game but got thrown in the garbage for profits. This one seems to have a lot more effort put into the development, and looks much more promising than NE. Very good so far, 4/5 stars.

Expensive money pit

Game play is fun, at first free can be reasonably competitive. but then you pay $100 for just that edge to catch back up. then again. Then another contest and people pay $300 or $500 to win. And then another and another. Pay to win on a scale i have never witnessed. And i have played MANY games! I paid some. More than i should have. But to keep up with the jones you will need to endlessly pay hundreds every other week. also, 8 real life death threats from 3 players. devs did NOTHING to stop this.

Pretty good but…

It’s a good game however when I sent my first fleet into exploration it locked up during combat and when I reset the game to resume exploration it just sends me to a system map and no way to get out unless I rest. I’m sure it is a bug but I thought your developers should know about it. Otherwise it’s fun.

Really fun game

Out the gate it’s a great looking game and it has a great feel to it as the transitions feel smooth. No adds and the packs feel reasonable for the progression of the game! Can’t wait to see what keeps coming out in the future!

Awesome game

Love the game so far. I have ranked up fast and didn’t have to spend any money. It’s not like other games, this one is just that much better and a great story line. I recommend playing this game.

Never Ending Tutorial

The game might be good, but I wasn't able to get to it. I played for about an hour, got to chapter3 and character level 4 and the game never got out of Tutorial mode. It told me exactly where to click the entire time. It looked like the concept might be fun. Base building, fleet combat. Just what I was looking for. But I came to play, not read a book and be told where to click

Click through garbage

This is hardly a game. It’s click through garbage where you click on the screen and your ships show up do the scripted fight for you and back to infinite boring dialogue. Go play Galaxy on Fire 2 if you want an actual game that plays awesome, you build your ship you fight through great story lines. It may be 15 years old but it’s 100 times better than anything coming out today.

Good game

The game plays smoothly, every function works with no trouble and thus the game is well programmed by its developers. Outfitting the ships can be automated or manual. The only draw back is that I still do not understand what the E set of equipment is on the modification screen are in relation to the regular set of equipment.

The game isn’t what was advertised, however it is fun once you give it a try! I enjoy it, has a lot of other players an interesting aspects to it!

Addicting

For a mobile game this is awesome! By far my favorite part is I have yet to see an ad. There’s a lot going on but once you get the hang of everything it’s very entertaining.

Blandness and tunneling beyond compare

This game is just the same as every other bad space station builder, there’s no game play it’s click then done and it’s the entire game. No combat no interesting things none of it, not to mention the fact that it refuses to let you really do anything besides press the very specific thing sits telling you, it feels like an idle game with the amount of pressing you’re allowed to do

Nice game, but …

It appears this would be a very fun game. Right from the start, it assumes you are going to purchase the packages. If you don’t, you have the system reminding you to pick up your rewards. These rewards are only if you have the current packages purchased. I don’t like being pressured to buy things.

Built to attract human trash

The list is long and no one has time to read anymore. So I’ll be very short. The system on which this game platform is build on is part of the sickest aspect of humanity. So it fosters and encourages psychologically damaged and dysfunctional individuals what otherwise will never be able to show that face in daylight. Player be ware.

Enjoyable Game

I was looking for a fun space-strategy game, and found Nova. Gotta say, I’m hooked. My advice is to join a good alliance with good and active players and participate in the events.

The worst

I was enjoying the game….. bought a 100$ and 20$ pack then about an hour later the dock feature broke…. Then the repair feature broke will not let me repair my two JUST BOUGHT SHIPS the coding is terrible and falling apart the I’ve deleted the game and it makes no difference do NOT PLAY and DO NOT INVEST
