I am so grateful for this app. I keep odd sleep hours and they fluctuate weekly. This app is teaching me better sleeP Habits. I worked so much for years at all different hours of the day that I just got used to sleeping two or three hours a night. Because of the programs, music, meditation and stories I’m sleeping more at the same time. And even at night. I’ve stopped having to take a nap. If I get tired, I find something else to unpack clean and repack. It keeps me moving. Their guidance was good in the free portion of the app there are still alot of choices for sleeping, but after paying the fee for premium, I’m getting one-on-one help. I’m getting an analysis of my sleeping habits. It has opened my eyes. It’s been over 90 days and I slept five hours straight last night guys. but listen to this. I got up walked around taking deep breathes and got a drink of water. I laid back down and closed my eyes. When I awoke, 4 hours had gone by. That’s the most of slept in 24 hours over the past 50 years. I sleep better and I feel better. I just needed to realize that I’m not in a hurry to do anything anymore and I only have to make myself happy. If you really want to take your sleeping problem under hand, try this app for thirty days. See what happens. Deep breath. Love this app and those who have given their precious time to me. Thank you.

Please read through all of it. There’s a note to the developer at the end.
I absolutely enjoy it, it has helped me a lot within my sleep it gives me the important info with in my sleep, tells me how bad my snoring is and if I should talk to my doctor about it, it tells me if I sleep talked, it also tells me about what is happening around me while I sleep it also tells me how deep of sleep I’m in, it also gives you a chance to experiment with different types of sounds and music that you like and stories that you would like, it also gives you a chance to put on smart alarm which basically means that you pick a time and whenever you’re in the light sleep, it will put on that alarm so then you can wake up, and a bunch of people may be wondering, does it cost any money? Yes, it does only for the VIP. Otherwise, it is totally worth it. And if you’re curious about what your dream means. There’s a little dream list and it tells you what they mean I hope you consider getting it. NOTE TO DEVELOPER BELOW👇🏻 Dear developer I have a request could you please add him some more dream meanings and also the little present box has been saying one more day but then the next day it is still there could you fix that? thanks.

Caught Voices from Ghosts at Night
I had always had trouble sleeping at night and waking up feeling tired as if I never slept at all. This has always been happening since I moved into this house. After purchasing this app, I quickly became shocked as to what it was capturing at night for the audio. I would hear other peoples voices talking to me keeping me somewhat awake at night. I was never conscious enough to realize this was going on. At first I thought the app was just adding fake audio to make it seem like a special feature so I ended up setting up a camera to record myself sleep in addition to the recording audio from the app. Not only was the app extremely accurate, my camera captured paranormal activity occurring with the audio. My blankets would be pulled off of me, my head would get hit into the wall by force, and I would even get up and stand in front of whatever this was and talk to it. Extremely scary stuff but grateful this app actually worked so well to help me realize what has been going on

So close to being a perfect sleep app
This is such an awesome app. I forget how I stumbled upon it but it’s a good one. Not great but pretty good. I am currently using a competitors sleep app at a premium level and I really like it but Shut Eye looked interesting so I took it for a test ride. I love all the sounds and stories and that stuff. I love all the reports. Pretty darn accurate. But here’s the deal breaker for me. I need to use a sleep app that knows when I’m sleeping and knows when I’m up in the morning. You have to manually tell this app you are going to bed. And then I need to manually turn the alarm off (every night) because I don’t need to be waking my wife at 3:30am. And then I need to tell the Shut Eye app that I’m up. And I forgot a few times to say I’m up in my trial (which I wish was 14 days since I forgot to start the app two nights and never saw how the app really works before the trial expired) Nope, I need an app that talks to my watch. I need an app that wakes me on my watch with a vibration, not have an alarm go off that wakes my wife and the dogs. I need a sleep app that is smart enough to know I’m in bed and an app that is smart enough to know I’m up for good. If this app ever syncs with my watch I’ll pay a lifetime premium for the app. But as it is, I can’t use it. I’m used to my current sleep app that works all by itself with no manual input from me. Sorry.

Overall good
So first let’s talk about the good part. Whenever you hit the sleep button at the bottom of the Home Screen, it will let you put sleep notes and stuff like that as reminders and stuff. Than after that, you can choose the relaxing sound you would like to hear while you sleep. My favorite part in my opinion is that it also lets you choose an alarm and you can get really happy ones and stuff. I woke up feeling refreshed for the first time. Now for the bad part. First off the calendar was one day in the past for me. Like today is Friday but it said it was Thursday. It also did not let you see what you said during the night becuase it kept making you buy the subscription. It shows you ur best ones though- which was just my parents talking instead of me. My recommendation is that they should make a possibility to see what you said during the night without having to buy it. Also to make it to where you can change the calendar. Maybe even a way to where you can make a recording of your voice so that the app can detect it in your sleep, instead of picking up others talking. I would also like if we could put our gender in, that would be nice too. Thank you .

This isn’t accurate…
I bought a year subscription to try it out since the one week free trial isn’t enough. After having it for 40 days, I’m not impressed. It “tracks” every little thing. The recordings aren’t accurate and you can’t correct the information yourself except delete the recordings. Says I have bruxism when I wear a mouth guard to prevent bruxism. And the recording literally heard nothing. Not exactly sure how it knows when you’ve fallen asleep or gone into deep sleep without tracking your heart rate or movements. All it’s doing is listening for sounds. Last night it said I fell asleep in an hour. I know that’s not possible because I was extremely tired and normally fall asleep in <15min. on regular nights. Don’t waste your money. If you want a real sleep tracker, invest in a Garmin or an Oura ring. Might be more expensive for a one time upfront cost, but at least you’ll get accurate consistent data. I’m only giving this 2 stars because I do like the sounds features. Other than that, the app is useless and unless there’s a way they can start tracking your HR there’s nothing this app can do to improve. Response to developer: no my phone is not shutting off prematurely. I always have it plugged in at night. Yesterday it also said I was awake for two hours in the middle of the night. When I know for a fact I wasn’t.

Love it but app hard to navigate
If you tap a icon you accidently start a sleep. You have to go through the whole process start a sleep then have to manually quit the sleep. NO BACK BOTTONS OR CANCEL ON THE FIRST SCEEN. HAVE TO GO THRU IT ALL TO SLEEP THEN QUIT. Also hard to find what you want to find. I set it for a nap yet didn’t know where to find the results to many things on screens NEED MORE ORGANIZATION, DROP DOWN MENUS,BACK BUTTONS AND CANCEL BUTTONS. NEED APP OVERHAUL. Please add info button, WHAT AM I PAYING FOR THE SERVICE NO INFO JUST KNOW THEY SIGNED ME UP OR THEY TELL YOU BEFORE THE INTRO PERIOD UP. ….. my sleep notes inadequate No way to add in the category before I go to sleep I’m watching tv no icon …. I’m retired I have to tap DAY OFF …. PLUS I have a pacemaker cardiac arrhythmias no mention of pain or a category other then restless leg. Severe Arthritis pain both knees and back. That CAUSES either HARD TO FALL ASLEEP or I WAKE DUE TO SEVERE PAIN. LOVE THE CONCEPT …… not sure if I’ll continue unable to add notes with the snoring or they don’t tell you which clip is the apnea clip. Clips for teeth grinding sounds like snoring. No labels everything sounds like snoring HOW MUCH IS THIS APP I COULD NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE. I KNOW ITS a lot TO ASK, BUT MAKE IT EASIER TO NAVIGATE and find things too much with th book reading.

Unhelpful and BAD Customer service
I got the free trial to see if this could help with my bad sleeping habits and track what I do but it would tell me the wrong thing like my dog barking is a fart. So I didn’t find it useful and used it 2 times after 2 nights I stopped using it and forgot to cancel the subscription! I can be very forgetful but I cancelled it once it charged me. I did not intend to continue using the app and I tried contacting Apple for a refund but was told I wasn’t eligible for a refund and asked them to review again but was told they had certain restrictions that they couldn’t tell me to give me my money back. I contacted the actual company by email and no respond over 1 week and I emailed them again and no respond ever! What’s the reason I can’t get a refund on an app I didn’t find useful and did not even use at all ever after it renewed. which was not done intentionally. I would like a refund please. I can not afford to have payed 65 dollars for this. And not ever use the money this seems like basic robbery!! No rude intentions just want my money. Update: I contacted Apple they still couldn’t give me a refund and contacted them personally but no respond in over 2 weeks from them I don’t understand why it’s not possible to refund this charge that I did not want to renew !! Totally regret getting this !!

It started off ok
This app starts off ok, then I upgraded to the “VIP” level then things went down hill from there. The app picks up the noises from my fan as snoring. Then when I upgraded to a new phone the app has stopped working and I can’t get back to the vip side that I have paid for. So I reached out to customer support. I get a message back that is can take up to 3 business day. A week and a half later I was told the issue has been resolved. In fact it was not. So I messaged back with screenshots to let them know this has not been resolved. And still a month later this is still not fixed and no one has replied to my email. Do not waste your time or money on this app once the company has their money they don’t care and won’t resolve an issue *** update tech support I have emailed that email address several time about this issue it is still unresolved fix it or issue a refund please if I could give this app less than 1 star I would please don’t waste you time or money on this app a month and a half later still no reply from this company ** update still no word from this company and the app still doesn’t work and no update about fixing the vip status I paid for. Still not working and yes I’ve sent multiple emails and nothing back for this company DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I have severe Sleep Apnea
I have severe sleep apnea, so a friend of mine suggested I try this app to see what happens when I sleep. It worked for 3 nights. Last night the app shut itself off. I restarted it at midnight and come morning I could not even open my phone. It told me the app crashed and it locked me out of my phone by saying phone is unavailable try again in 1 minute that 1 minute turned into 5. I was able to shut my phone down buy pushing every side button at the same time. To be honest I expected this app to be so much more. It doesn’t give you a sleep score and when it tells you that it tells you when you talk in your sleep and so on. It gets it all wrong. This app needs a lot more improvement in order to tell when your awake or Animal noises is me struggling to breathe. I guess the way I look at it is this needs a lot more work because it can tell you if you have sleep apnea or not. The first night it said I had mild sleep apnea but the next night was severe and the following night it was call a doctor immediately. Just so everyone knows I am aware I have severe sleep apnea. I can not wear those masks over my face I feel like I’m suffocating.

This Isn’t Possible
People, stop believing this nonsense! I gave this two stars instead of one because I enjoyed the white noise options. However, when this app says you were in deepest sleep for the two hours you were *awake and moving around*, it’s bull. I made noise, they can’t claim I was “too quiet”. And the patterns of sleep were nearly identical every night, which is suspicious. There is NO WAY for any app based on sound to know where you are in your sleep. That’s ridiculous. And please, Shut Eye team, don’t give me your pat responses I read elsewhere like, “We’re sorry you had this experience.” (No, you’re not.) Or “Thank you for bringing it to our attention and we’re doing our best to resolve this issue.” (No, you’re not, because you CAN’T. Sound simply does not indicate depth of sleep!) Now, if you just sold all the great white noise sounds for one fixed price, I might actually do that! EDIT: As you can see from their response, it’s a ‘bot reply. No humans are engaging here. It says they’ll “take my suggestion into consideration”. There is no suggestion. So not only is an app based on sound no way to truly measure the quality of your sleep, they don’t even have humans paying attention.

This app is so cool
I 🅛🅞🅥🅔 this app because it has SO many features like sleep meditations, white noise, and SO much more. It helps me fall asleep right away without having to watch TV. I also love how it tells you about why your having certain dreams and I think that's really cool. In the white noise, they have so many things like rain, fire place, exhaust fan, ocean waves, seagulls, keyboard, and MORE. I think that you should get this app because not EVERYTHING requires premium like a few things do, but not a lot. Also the premium is only around $2.99 a month! It's so nice. I have been able to sleep so much better from this app. It also tracks your sleep if you press the sleep button in the center of your screen and you answer questions like how have you been feeling (it gives you multiple choice or you can choose other) then, you set your phone next to your bed on the charger and when you go to sleep, it tracks if you talked, snoring loud or tossing and turning. It also tells you your sleep score after six days of tracking your sleep with the app, and it tells you how much light sleep or heavy sleep. It's cool to listen to what you said in your sleep, what you did, or how much you snored. This app is very good for me because i haven't been able to fall asleep. But this app makes me fall asleep right when i turn on the white noise or sleep meditation. ⚠GET THIS SLEEP APP IF YOU HAVE SLEEP PROBLEMS / WANT TO TRACK YOUR SLEEP/ FALL ASLEEP FASTER!!! ⚠

Good app, but just one thing
I really enjoy the app. I love the mixed sounds you can use (my personal favorite is the campfire and ocean waves). I also really enjoy the alarm system because it's not very loud and annoying when you wake up. However I do have one thing that I don't like. I don't like that you need to pay to see your health risks. I got the app because the description says that it detects your risk of sleep apnea and other sleep risks. But when I found out you had to pay for it I was a bit annoyed. First of all, you shouldn't have to pay to see your health risks, that should be free. Me and so many other people aren't in a good financial position and cannot afford to pay every month, even at low prices. From a business stand point, I can see that you most likely include this in a subscription to receive money. But at the same time, the health and safety of your customers should be the top priority, especially in this kind of app. Thank you for reading my review, and I hope you consider the things I've said.

Don’t want my farts tracked !!!
Update: saw the new ad today, so excited for you that you’ve finally found someone as excited about farts as you are. Way to go!! 🙄🙄🙄 I downloaded the app to give it a fair shot. The most annoying thing ever is that whoever developed the app is still stuck in the anal phase. If you take abnormal psychology, they teach us that 4-6 year olds are really excited about poops and farts. Then they mature and move on. Some people, especially victims of sexual abuse, get stuck at the point where they’re abused, and aren’t able to move on. This developer obviously is dealing with this, and thinks that EVERYONE is totally excited about pooping and farting. We’re not. We’re just annoyed at dealing with the adult who is stuck at age 4-6 and keeps throwing it in our face. I have no desire to track my farts. No reason whatsoever to listen to them, think about them, or let anyone else obsess about them. I’m so tired of the fart ads. If I could block ANY advertisement, the sleep/fart tracking app would top my list!!! Other than being stuck in the anal phase, what could possibly be achieved by tracking your farts????I completed the free trial. Still don’t understand why y’all are so obsessed with our farts???

It’s fine
The app is actually pretty cool, I enjoy a lot of the features it comes with. The music and sounds offered actually help me fall asleep which is surprising and I have interestingly found out some things about my sleeping pattern. Now I will say though, as every other app, this one also is not perfect. I was careless the one night (no like literally my fault 😂) and set up my tracker in the middle of the night after waking up and falling back asleep, the app now thought that I had only slept for 4 hrs and I wasn’t able to actually change the time to the time I had fallen asleep so now I had “poor sleep” and suggestions on how to sleep better 😂. Same thing happened today, but opposite, I woke up in the middle of the night to give my son some medicine and grabbed my phone to check the time, I guess the app took that as a “ok she’s awake cause her phone shook” and I have now only “slept for one hour” which I didn’t realize until I actually woke up. I wish I could just change the time or disable the “shake to stop tracker” feature.

Love it!
I’ve had ShutEye for a while now and it’s amazing! It tracks when you talk, fart, snore, burp, and much more! It also tracks when you woke up, in deepest sleep, lightest sleep, and when you went to bed! It has a bunch of white noises most need a subscription but even if you don’t have one there’s still some free ones! 😁 It also has a survey every night which makes me feel at home and comfortable for some reason. 😅 It also makes you feel like your friends with the all even tho it’s an app 😃 I have no subscription but is able to enjoy the app freely! ☺️ It can also help you if someone breaks into your house and it’s recording, cause now you have proof! 😉 I feel it’s an amazing app and should get more attention!😄 Also these reply’s are saying that it’s horrible and stuff but I truly love it and think it’s an amazing app created! 😊 The creators helped a lot with sleeping, I wasn’t able to sleep easily but this app helps a lot! ☝️ I’m not a bot.

Terrible customer service for the monthly cost
I listened to all the sounds from the night after my first night. From a recording at 4:45am I heard two men whispering in the background and you could hear one of them saying “did you put it in the bag?” And the other said “yea”. Im a single woman living alone. Once I heard it the next day I called the cops and they did a full swoop of my house and confirmed they heard voices in the recording. Being that I heard the sound the next day there was not much the police could do and suggested I reach out to the app to see if they could send me a longer version or the recording etc.. I sent an email to the apps customer service. I heard nothing for 3 days and emailed them again. I then got a response after a week saying “thank you we will pass along your feedback”. I wasn’t giving feedback I was inquiring about my safety and well being and asking for their help as I was fearful someone broke in. For an app that costs $40 a month I’d expect the customer service to be helpful and not robotic and disregard all requests. Is a shame bc I actually enjoyed the app but don’t want to promote or give money to a service that doesn’t care about their users well being

Great app, but…
This app has been super useful for me in tracking my sleep while in the process of adjusting medications! However, there’s one major problem that I have with it: it effectively assumes that the time between you waking up and you stopping the app is just you forgetting to turn it off. This has been a major issue for tracking my sleep quality, because a lot of the time, the actual scenario is “I woke up several hours earlier than I intended to, lay in bed trying to fall back asleep for two hours, and then gave up.” This results in the app thinking my sleep quality as lower on days where I AM successful in falling back asleep than the days where I’m not, which is obviously a major issue when my goal is to track insomnia. Would absolutely change this to 5 stars if the app developers added a way to tell the app whether you were awake but forgot to turn it off or you were trying to sleep the whole time it was running, and adjusted sleep quality accordingly.

Great App That Helps Me Sleep
When I looked into this app, I saw it only on tiktok, but only heard good reviews on it. I assumed this was gonna be one of those apps where you have to pay for everythinggggg, but in reality I think it’s perfect. It contains free sounds to listen too as well as extras, but I personally use a mix of the free ones and use it every night to help me sleep before school. Ever since I started using it, I’ve been able to fall asleep just like that. The only thing I would complain about, which isn’t really a problem, would be the wheel spinning surprise add thing. It’s used to promote their extras being 50% off but it makes me mad cause I’d be just trying to go to bed but stopped by watching a wheel. It’s not a huge deal, but I wish the adds for their 50% off deal would go away. Other than that I think this is a perfect app to help people track their hours of sleep and to help them fall asleep as well.

Great app
I had to come back in and revise my review. I apologize to anyone that read it, this is a great app you just need to play around with it. Although I did feel rushed with the seven days because I forgot to use it a couple of times. So I think they should give you seven days worth so in case you miss it a night or two it doesn’t go towards your seven day trial. The only reason why I deleted this app is I can’t keep up with all the subscriptions for every app or TV Subscriptions all adds up and could possibly be a cable bill. I did like hearing the different settings of you snoring or the background noise. I did not know how to listen to the meditation for bedtime while recording for the night it didn’t work. Other than that this is a great sleep app

Useless for the most part
While this app has a few nice things like music, white noise and the ability to record your snoring and farting, it can’t possibly know when you are actually asleep or in REM sleep; so their sleep statistics are truly misleading. It’s cute; but it isn’t what you think it is. In the end, this is nothing more than a novelty. When it comes to rating the app, you will be bombarded with annoying pop-ups that give you two options: 1) Rate it highly 2) Continue to be bothered by persistent pop-ups. Because if this, you absolutely cannot trust the high marks this app receives in the App Store. That alone should tell you that this app is not entirely what it purports to be. This method of rating must absolutely be changed. I only wish I had a convenient way to report this misleading rating scheme to Apple. Until a change is made, the app owners will continue to mislead prospective subscribers. For that reason alone, you should be leery about downloading this app. (My question to the app developers is why don’t you trust your users to rate this app without only giving them the option of giving it a high rating in your pop-ups?)

Don’t DL
I download it this because it was advertised with a free trial at the end of the trial we would be charged however, upon opening the app it did not have what I needed so within 10 minutes of use and walking through the app, I was already starting to be charged and they are still trying to charge my car today every day even though I have unsubscribed from this subscription I have emailed their support and have yet to receive a response finding a way to communicate with this platform has been very difficult. I sure hope they see this review as I had no choice but to leave a star even though it should have none due to the lack of communication with those they are trying to collect money from I do not see it fit to be charged for 10 minutes of a free so what actually makes the trial free? It was not easy to navigate the app at all and trying to resolve a problem is even harder. I will continue to email this company until they quit trying to charge my account for a fee. We’re only having the app for 10 minutes and then there for canceling the subscription

Nope
I’d like to know how it thinks I’m asleep when I’m up moving around carrying my phone with me. There needs to be a way to say “no I didn’t fall asleep in 17 minutes, I’m 43 and have never fallen asleep in 17 minutes, even when I haven’t slept at all the night before because I have raging insomnia.” At first I thought it was tracking my husband who falls asleep in seconds, but nope. We slept in separate rooms for a week. How am I asleep when I’m adjusting the phone volume or switching to a different recording to play? There’s no way to leave feedback when you wake up about how you slept or anything, just the three stupid emojis. Waste of money. After their response is like to update. Says if I don’t make much noise moving around it won’t register it. Let me clarify. I live in a house with 6 children. It is NEVER quiet. How much noise do I have to make? “Call the cops bcuz there’s an intruder” noise? Seriously. And again, I’m playing games on the phone the app is running on…yet I’m sleeping. The phone is being moved around…yet I’m sleeping. And apparently I sleep drive, cuz we went to the gas station once. Whatever. This app is pointless.

An administrative nightmare that doesn’t record your sleeping data
The app requires you to register loads of daily events. The app wants you to fall asleep at exactly the same time every day. When you wake up, you realize that it has not recorded your sleeping data. Out of 20 nights, it recorded only 2. It places high emphasis on noises helping you to fall asleep. My nights are very quiet: under 40 dB so I don’t need a sound that crowds out outside noise. It treats everybody alike: it doesn’t want to know your age , and doesn’t want to know if you take sleeping pills or not. I very much regret the money I spent on this app. This looks very much like a scam: in a boilerplate answer the developer invites you to specify your problem after you have specified them the first time. The email address that the company gives you, is a non-existing address . I sent them a message to their real email address, and they answer with the same dumb boilerplate. I congratulated them for having wringed money out of me for access to a terrible app. I deleted the app. Stay away from this app and this company. There are better apps.

Good but needs some work
I like the fact that I can tag each sleep night with characteristics like whether I ate late or exercised etc. it gives me a chance to see how different things affect my sleep. Unfortunately, it is not accurately recording when I am asleep and I cannot delete “bad data” for instance the night I accidentally knocked the phone off the bed and it decided I was awake for several hours. Last night, the dog woke me up at 5:45 and a little after 6. I took the dog outside the second time and the system assumed I was asleep. I have had nights that I have woken far more refreshed and the system thinks I spending a considerable amount of time “awake.” I thought maybe it was picking up noise from the dog, but it didn’t record my talking to the dog at 5:45 and just after 6:00–when I was lying next to my phone. Seems rather inconsistent. I run a ceiling fan, and it just dawned on me that maybe that is messing something up (per someone’s comments)

What a joke
This app is saying that I’ve fallen asleep in 8-22 minutes. But I literally lay here all night tossing and turning. It says I’m “snoring” when I’m wide awake clearing my throat. I have allergies. The only sound this thing has gotten correct was the “animal sound”. It is not tracking sleep accurately or any of the sounds. It said I was snoring the other night and it was my roommate using a blender in the other room! This app is a waste of time and money. I even tested it by talking. Every so often I would just say, “I’m awake still, so if this is saying I’m in deep sleep it’s not accurate”. I said that about five times and it did not record one time of me talking. (I thought it’s supposed to let you know if you’re talking in your sleep. It should allow us the entire recording and not snippets some Ai picked out that are not even close to being snoring or talking or deep sleep. Shoot, last night it didn’t even realize I was not sleeping and I was tossing and turning. But it didn’t pick up those sounds either. I am extremely disappointed and want a refund. Please and thank you.

Inaccurate and awful
This app is not accurate in the slightest. I paid for the full year subscription because I got a 50% discount when I logged in. However, after having for only two weeks I’m disappointed and am regretting buying. I use both my phone and this app for the tracking sleep. I also have a history of struggling to fall asleep and waking up several times throughout the night. My watch picked up on how long it took for me to fall asleep and every time I woke up. On the other hand, the app said I fell asleep in 5 minutes and never woke up. Ik this isn’t right because 30 minutes after trying to fall asleep I checked the time, and I remember waking up during the night. This app only goes off sound, there’s no way for it to get an accurate account without heart rate and movements. The only feature I do like is the sounds, and the only good part to come out of the subscription is how many of them there are. Otherwise, don’t waste your money

Needs an auto on function
The good thing about the app is when it works. It gives you interesting information. The problem is it’s mostly wrong. I think most people put the TV on before they fall asleep. That is counted as snoring. If I’m starting to fall asleep, I don’t want to have to stop myself, wake up, grab my phone and put on the app because then I’m up. There are other apps like “auto sleep” that you don’t have to do that with. I’m already having trouble falling asleep, so having to get myself to grab the phone to start the app defeats the purpose. it’s interesting that when I look at reviews, I see the exact same review from when I purchased the app. apparently, the developer only wants to show positive reviews and not try to improve the app. it counts the TV on as snoring, animals, and all sorts of noises so this app really is not for me. But they won’t allow you to get your money back so it’s just a waste of $20.

This app is really good but
There should be a longer free trial ( 2 weeks-1 month ) because not everybody knows if they really need it or not because what if there wasn’t much that came up like you snored once and even if your report comes out with multiple things it also doesn’t mean your going to do the same thing again so you should try to make more things free or make this cheaper I know that you get half off but this is still very expensive but not just that like what if you were really tired during the week and you installed the app after that you would probably get the subscription and by the next week you would feel better but you would also have no need for it and you already paid so I’m basically trying today that we should be amble to get a longer subscription or pay for only the stuff we need

Questioning accuracy
I’ve been using your app for a couple of weeks now. initially, I was curious to hear myself talking in my sleep since that’s what I’ve been told I do often. In these two weeks I’ve not heard anything from me other than constant snoring. I tested that feature early this morning before I turn the app off by mumbling a few things and then shortly there after I turn the app off and did not hear the test recording. It has mistakenly identified Animal noises. It was my normal snoring noise. Under the Noise category, it’s still just me. Under the suspected “Suspect apnea” category, I hear a “steady breathing pattern” of snoring in uninterrupted steady breathing. I have my phone correctly positioned the way the instructions described. The “ talk in sleep “is turned on. So I’m not quite sure yet how accurate this app really is since I have observed it’s mislabeling of the noises that it’s hearing, and when I tested it’s ability to record my speech while it’s on, it failed to do so in the test this morning. My bedroom and the surrounding area is very quiet. I have my phone positioned within 18 inches from me. Is there anything else I can do to help this app to do what it’s advertised to do? So far, I’m not impressed and probably will start losing interest in the coming week if I don’t see the results that correspond to what is actually taking place.

These apps are kind of a big scam.
I like the idea of being able to listen to what you’ve said, done, and if they’re’s anything you should be worried about or call a doctor about but you can only listen to barely any of the clips as the rest are hidden until you subscribe which most people either can’t or don’t want to, for me both. And the clips it normally shows are around 3 seconds long. I’ve clicked on clips of sounds I’VE made in my sleep and it wouldn’t let me listen until I pay to subscribe. And all the features that apparently you would be able to use if you paid look really nice. i’ve looked through other apps like this one and they all displayed in app purchases so I bet it’d be better to just put a fully charged camera on your nightstand. Major disappointment because I don’t know why you think you can record my voice and not let me hear it unless I pay. So, unless you want to pay, I suggest to not get this app.

A few kinks but I really like it
I really like the app so far but I don’t see how it will work for me personally. I’m open to suggestions as maybe there is something I’m not aware of. So far, it’s combining the sleep of my husband and I. The tracker shows I am in deep sleep when in fact I’m wide awake listening to my husband snore. And it recorded him coming in from work and taking medication as me teeth grinding and in deep sleep. Nope. While I am able to mark the recordings as errors, it would be nice to be able to make a quick note of why it’s an error (not my snore, I’m awake, that’s a pill bottle). It seems to me this feedback would help shuteye better identify the noises it hears to track better. I’m exhausted from little sleep and yet it states I was asleep 6:17 of the 7 I was in bed. In fact I was awake much more and walking around at a time it tells me I was deep sleeping. I’m confused but there must be a better way.

Sleep tracker needs work
The good: the app has a large library of articles about sleep as well as a plethora of stories, music and sounds that you can listen to to help you fall asleep. The not-so-good: The sleep tracker. On the surface, it’s pretty cool. It records the environment so you get a recording of things like how much and how loud you snore, as well as hearing anything else that went on during the night. It’s also supposed to track when you’re asleep vs awake as well as telling you how much time and when you spent time in deep sleep or light sleep. The problem is, it doesn’t work. Last night for example, I woke up multiple times. Physically got out of bed two of those times, and even picked up my phone a couple times to check the time. When I awoke for the day and checked my sleep log, it said I was out cold the entire night. That’s not helpful and frankly makes me question the accuracy of the deep sleep vs light sleep data.

Pretty Good Recording Quality
Good: This app does better than others I’ve tried at actually recording noises during the night. They are usually miscategorized, but that is not a huge issue. Neutral: It does an okay job of actually tracking sleep. It’s accuracy is far from perfect. It often “misses” my wake ups during the night, for example. But it’s at least as good as other trackers I’ve tried and maybe a bit better. Bad: It’s impossible to change their suggestions. It asked me what my ideal sleep schedule would be. However, my ideal is not realistic (since my job wants me there at 8 AM not 1 PM!). I didn’t realize I would never be able to change. The app now thinks I should go to bed at 1:30 and get up at 9. I could that for a couple days before getting fired maybe. It is very naggy. Get up when you wake up that’s 30 minutes earlier than usual? Nag. Go to bed earlier or later? Nag. I get that consistency is good, but this seems to be totalitarian in outlook. Speaking of totalitarian, the text suffers from a subpar English translation. It’s easily understandable, but just different enough to make you recall that it is, in fact, translated. It makes me wonder how safe my data is. Summary: I probably won’t renew this when it comes due. It is okay, but for me the lack of customizability/flexibility outweighs the decent recording ability. I will look for another solution down the road.

Not EXACTLY accurate tracking
Although this app has helped me identify a snoring issue, it is not accurate in tracking when I am actually asleep. For example: it tracked that I fell asleep in 9 minutes, when I was actually awake. It showed I was either in deep sleep or light sleep when I had actually gotten out of bed. I started speaking during these times and started getting clips of me “talking in my sleep” saying things like “I’m awake now”. I’m pretty dubious about it’s ability to know that I’m asleep, let alone the depth of sleep I am in. ::::::::follow up::::::::::: I received this response from the developer: "Hi Muzzie, one reason for the discrepancy might be that the app records time spent asleep, not time in bed. Taking this into account, if you still feel Sleep Tracker has shut off prematurely, this might be caused by insufficient phone charge. Please be sure that your phone is plugged in while using Sleep Tracker. " lt seems that this is a response to a completely different review, as I never said the sleep tracker turned off. What I said was the sleep tracker could not discern if I were awake or asleep, as evidenced by the fact that it used clips of me saying things like “I’m awake now, just for the record” as examples of me “talking in my sleep”. It reported that I was asleep when I was clearly awake. Not once, but several times. So again, not this app is NOT an accurate tracker of sleep patterns.

Does not identify true awake status
I have a habit of waking up in the middle of the night and being unable to fall back asleep for hours. Often times I will get on my phone to scroll or to look for music/white noise to help me fall back asleep. This app would be so much more helpful if it could tell when you have picked up/unlocked/or are using your phone. I was awake last night from about 2:30 to nearly 5 and for over an hour of that time, though I was actively using my phone, this app recorded it as deep sleep. I will also wake up and try to turn on sounds within this app to encourage me to fall back asleep and it doesn’t even seem to recognize that use as wakefulness, despite me clicking around in the app. Until that issue can be fixed this is a mediocre app at best, especially if you’re unwilling to pay for premium features (like me).

Ok at best
I don’t care for this app. The white noise options are way too many and I have sleep sounds I prefer which can’t be played in the background. The sounds can only be played for 120 minutes as well. They are also recorded as loud noises and give a negative score for your sleep. 4 consecutive days it told me it needs 4 more days to get an accurate score which would put it out of the trial period. I guess that’s one way to force you to pay for it. You have to keep your phone plugged in and near your head which isn’t healthy and even apple has recommended you the phone away from bed. I don’t use an alarm or use my phone for at least an hour after waking but this app encourages both. It not for me. Speaking of alarms though theirs is ok. The ukulele sound is cute and the puppy visual is cute. Gif be better off with other sounds and meditating though for good sleep rather than relying on this .

Great Concept but.......
I like the concept however I find the app is way off. I paid for the year so it is what it is. I wish there was a way to make your own notes to help correct recordings or gathered data to differintiate between one or more sleepers. Unfortunately the app tends to pick up my husbands snoring over mine most of the time even though he is further from the phone. Also it says I fell asleep within 10 minutes last night when I was literally awake for most of the night I even picked up my phone a few times to look at the time or check another app or something but it apparently thinks I was sleeping!!! At one point my husband & I got in a small argument about moving over because the other was hogging the bed but the app logged it as sleep talking!!! I just wish there was a better way of gathering data!!!

been using and PAYING for a year
the only reason i pay for this app is i cannot find an app where i can pair cicada noises w/train noises or have cicada noises at all. it honestly pisses me off bc theres no other aspect of this app yhat is useful to me, but i also like the idea of tracking how much sleep im getting bc i have insomnia. but that particular function seems to not function at all. as an example, i fell asleep last night about 1:30 am i had been using the app 2 rounds since midnight to fall asleep. i woke up at 6 am due to hot flashes but it only started logging my sleep at 627 am and thinks i slept from 627 am to 9 am which is completely inaccurate. it almost never guages my sleep time correctly. idk if its bc i have cats in my room that make noise or what but it NEVER tracks my sleep properly. you would think that if the app is on and my phone is put down and locked itd know im asleep, but it doesnt.

I’m having a little trouble…
Hello!!! I just want to say that I really do enjoy this app when it comes to tracking my sleep! But, I do wish that I was able to hear all of my recordings from the night and be able to save them without having to pay premium to go back and listen to the ones from a few weeks prior. Also, as of right now, I have been having problems with getting into Shut Eye. Basically when I open the app everything freezes and it won’t let me click on anything. Idk if I’m supposed to pay premium to be able to access of anymore but if that was the case, then that’s kind of absurd. Don’t let this review detain you from getting the app but see it as something to look out for when you do decide to purchase it.

Meh. Just "okay"
I have the same issues so many others here have mentioned: It tells me I took 45 minutes to fall asleep when I know I was out cold in under ten. It doesn't register when I wake up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep for an hour or longer. It doesn't register when I get up in the middle of the night and walk out of the room. Customer service isn't great. I reached out because I couldn't access some of the premium features I'm paying for and the suggestion was to uninstall the app (thereby losing my data) and reinstall. If it were free, I wouldn't mind so much, but it's not. And to the point someone made about a longer free trial? If I'd had a longer free trial I likely would not have subscribed because I would have seen the repetitive flaws—I'm betting some marketing guru somewhere knows that. I won't be renewing my subscription. I had such high hopes too....

Amazing app
Omg my neighbor told me about this app I asked her what is this she said this app is amazing. It’s a sleep tracker app so I know what I’m doing at night and you can put a timer when you wake up. I said that sounds really awesome so she sent me a link of the game I mean app so my first night I tried it and the alarm woke me up the alarm is amazing like the sound of. It is so amazing. Keep it up. You guys have really good work and at night I know what problems I have like maybe well when I tried it it said I was grinding my teeth so that’s a problem I know I have this app is really amazing. Please download it and you are gonna love it. Hope you have fun trying out this amazing app ShutEye. By an eight year old girl name Emily Rose Patterson.

It’s alright
I do love this and I can sleep better, but I am really upset that I have to pay to listen to my recordings! I would love if the developers added an option where we could watch an ad to get the recording. I would totally do this. I speak for everyone when we say at least let us listen to our recordings! Maybe every night you sleep you get “tokens” and then you spend those “tokens” to listen to your recordings? This app is amazing and I love it, but the main reason I downloaded it was to listen to my recordings. Please consider changing the pay option for recordings. Thank you if you respond or listen. When this happens you WILL get my five star review. Edit: I got a notification that you guys replied but I don’t see it. Please improve the service. :(

Not impressed
I’m really not impressed with this app. To start off with, I always play rain/storm sounds while I sleep. The first night I turned on this app, it was fairly decent. I have a bull dog and he snores louder than a grown man, which the app recorded as me, but I expected that. On the second night, I hit the button to start recording and laid my phone down on my nightstand. Well, the pop up for rating the app I guess came up after I started. So nothing was recorded that night…. Then, the last two nights, I suppose it’s the sounds of the rain or thunder that are throwing off the app because it’s saying I got very minimal sleep. I would think that it could tell the difference between me actually being the one making noises all night and the sleep music, especially considering the app has sleep music as well. I really wanted to love it. Wish it could pick up just a little more accurately.

Love it so far!
I have spent one night, and it recorded my dog barking, talking, and more! I can’t wait to use it more! So far it’s helping me learn that most of the night I am in light sleep. Honestly that’s probably because of my dogs. The reason I took off of one star was because the wake up alarm. I love the idea itself, just I think it would be a bit better if there was a five minute timer before it goes off again instead of one minute. Also even when I tap WAKE UP on the screen a minute later it still goes off. Also I don’t think it’s enough to take off a star but, I would like it if you didn’t have to subscribe to see all of the videos of your sounds that you made while sleeping. Overall it’s a great app and I’m excited to learn more about!

Less sleep since I installed
So first it says I was asleep for an hour and a half while I was on phone.. so to think it accurately records if I’m asleep or how light it is is already a stretch.. premium was beyond not worth it.. recordings were static and inaudible… and I am a person who has multiple alarms but to track my sleep after the first alarm takes forever to reset to show I’m still asleep.. and then I’m wide awake hours early.. today I have an interview I spent 30 mins irritated first thing in the morning cause of your stupid app… way to improve my sleep… I was driving it decided I should be in bed and started recording and counted that as falling asleep time cause my finger hit the notification.. never mind I closed the app.. if you can’t tell what I’m doing how can you tell if I’m asleep.. poor poor quality.. definitely not worth it

Almost perfect, but…
I fell asleep pretty much instantly with the light on and the computer still being used. Also I fell asleep waaay before the time I usually fall asleep (I usually fall asleep at midnight on weekdays and 1:00 - 3:00 on weekends). I did sleep past the alarm but that is mostly my fault. I rested very well my first night using it and it did record the noises I made during the night. So, you may be wondering, why did you give it four stars if you loved it? Well, it was completely vertical. When I tried to rate my sleep, I was asked between horrible and mediocre. I tried swiping (I’m using an iPad, btw), but nothing happened. I rated mediocre, of course, as it was the best rating I could choose between. So, that is my review of Shuteye. Pretty much amazing app. Four stars out of five.

Not as accurate when there are two of you in bed
I liked using this while I was single because I knew any sounds it picked up were me. Now that I’m married, it picks up my husband’s snores. So the score doesn’t accurately reflect me, it’s like a score for the two of us. For example - when I was single, my score was high 70s, low 80s consistently. Now it ranges from like high 20s to high 40s. I wish there were a way to mark recordings as ‘this was my partner, not me’ or something like ‘this noise was from outside’. I used to sleep during the day and it would pick up lawn mowers and call it snoring. If you mark something as a mistake, it should fix the score. I also wish you could mark ‘I’m sick’ and have that affect the score. I obviously snore more when I have a cold. I don’t think ‘blocked nose’ is all that accurate.
