The best new app for everyone

2020 has been a year of downs. At a life changing time like this TurnUp is a blessing. Right now our youth are coming together and advocating for our climate, for justice, for our lives and much more. TurnUp is crucial if we want to reach our activism potential. It has everything in one place. I feel completed now that I have TurnUp because with the app I have everything I need at my hand. Now I just have to click a button to RSVP to an event I’m passionate about instead of scouring the internet for information. I feel in the loop because TurnUp is constantly adding more and more events I can attend. I feel accepted because the users of the app are a community of people who all share the same beliefs. I know that as a teenager I sometimes feel underestimated due to my age. I feel less educated then adults and I feel belittled sometimes because somehow the older you are the more you know. TurnUp is one step closer to ending the stigma behind age. Everyone can benefit from this app because all the info is in ONE PLACE!! Truly a life changing app for a life changing year

Great tool for new activists!

Turnup is the perfect app for anyone who wants to get involved in activism but doesn’t know where to start! It offers access to helpful resources in a wide range of topics, including registering to vote, campaigning and running for office, climate change, indigenous rights, racial justice, and youth organizing. It also has a feed of nearby events and allows you to filter these events by issue, event type (virtual or in person) and location! This makes it easy for me to learn about ways to address the social issues that matter most to me. In my home feed, I can quickly see what events my friends are participating in, and the format of the posts allows me to easily find the date, time, and location of every event.

It’s about TIME! Young people, get excited and engaged!

This app is truly something that has been missing from the app space. We always get irritated and talk about how young people don’t get politically involved, but we never really have any resources that are streamlined to get them involved in the first place. TurnUp has shown up at the perfect time to get people involved! I always thought it was extremely difficult to find political events and organizations, and now it’s all in one place! You can also follow people and build connections, as well as read about different topics impacting our lives today. This is a great app to get young people excited and ready to get politically active and engaged!! I truly think this app is a game changer.

TurnUP is exactly what GenZ needs

For the past couple years now, there have have been more and more youth activists. Whether they are political activists, environmental, human rights, Black Lives Matter, etc... However there hasn’t been an app I found that is catered toward teens who are activists in their community. TurnUp is designed like a social media outlet that’s all about whatever category of activism you support. There are also many other youth on the app, that also do the support that same causes you support. It’s nice to see a huge community of individuals that are pushing for a change! All in all, it’s a amazing app.

Very Useful App

This app is amazing for people to use and it provides educational information for people who want to get involved with issues that have an impact on their lives. The app provides recourse for young people to use in order to get act on topics like politics, racial justice, climate change, and many more. The app is easy to use and allows people to share events with friends, as well as find events that are happening close to specific locations or joining events virtually. This app is great and makes you feel like you are engaging with communities and pushing for a change.

Essential App for Young Activists

Planning events and ensuring that people actually show up is one of the hardest things an activist can do. TurnUp helps to streamline the process by putting all to resources you need in one, intuitive place. -App Design The design of the app is streamlined an easy to use, with very little lag as you click through the menus. The app has a homepage similar to that of Facebook or twitter, with the posts mainly consisting of announcements for events. You can RSVP and find all necessary information from within the app, which is incredibly useful. -Community The community is, as you would expect from an app consisting solely of activists, incredibly welcoming and accepting. The app even has a resources tab for new activists that consists of a plethora of invaluable resources. -Overall This app is absolutely essential to anyone seeking to become an activist in their community. I simply cannot recommend it enough.

Great App!

The TurnUp app has proven to be a useful tool for organizing events, spreading information and awareness, and generally aiding youth activism. This easy-to-navigate app allows users to locate events and people around them, which helps spur momentum in movements. I like that the app provides different information on a range topics, from Black Lives Matter to criminal justice reform. Information is easy accessible to users. If you are looking to get involved in local activism, as well as activism on a larger scale, this app will help you do so.

Great App!

Although I have not had the TurnUp app for a very long time, I have had time to get acquainted with it and it is extremely helpful and resourceful. It helps me stay up to date with events and resources that I am interested in such as information on Black businesses, BLM, Climate Striking, and more. It is such a wide range of information on this app that it is helpful for the youth and everyone else as well. Overall, I enjoy using this app and learning something new while doing it!

Excellent App

I am a current intern with TurnUp. It is exciting to see how amazing this app turned out! I was originally interested in the idea of TurnUp as it was difficult for me to find ways to engage with my community online. As a young activist I will definitely be using this platform. I especially like the feature that TurnUp included that allows users to find events in their area. I think it is critical that young people get involved in advocating for the issues that they are passionate about.

A Revolutionary App!

TurnUp is inspiring thousands of young people across the country to become activists in their own way, big or small. This app has great potential to become a game changer in the way individual ignite activism in local communities whether by connecting youth with events, granting access to resources across the political spectrum, or encouraging people to sign petitions for the causes they care about. I believe it can foster a culture of activism that doesn’t appear in short bursts, but in real, long term change. I would really recommend this app!

Well organized and easy to use!

TurnUp is well organized, fast, and easy to use! I love how all of the issues underneath the “Resources” tab is listed in alphabetical order. I also appreciate how simple it is to find social justice events near you. Finally, I love how fast TurnUp is! When you go to “Resources”, select an issue, and click on “visit website”, it takes you to the website incredibly quickly. There is no delay!

The connective tissue between youth and politics

This app addresses a super important issue in politics today: youth’s involvement in it. Through providing a variety of resources such as an “Advocates for Youth Toolkit” that provides detailed, actionable steps on how to effectively organize a community, a filter option that allows you to see events relevant to the movements you’re passionate about, and even an embedded voting registration link, this app really acts as the connective tissue between youth and politics/movements today.

The Best App for Political Activism

I always want to get active and find events to attend locally, especially during the rise in BLM protests, but I always find out about them after they happen. This app provides a platform to find local events and details of the events, days and weeks ahead of time. It is also very convenient that I can connect to other activists nearby, as well as find important information about voting in the app. This app is the app to end all other political organizing apps!

Love the Easy Access to Activism and Layout!

The TurnUp app has a clean design which makes it easy to navigate and communicate. It makes getting involved in political activism simpler as TurnUp shows me a variety of events from online zoom discussions to in-person protests. One of my favorite features is the filter for events because I can easily filter by a topic I am passionate about and by virtual events (which is important to consider in this current pandemic).

Great app!!

I gave this app a 5 stars review because of its overall its a great app. As a current Intern for TurnUp I have noticed the hard work that each working staff has put into making this app a success. The reason I joined turn up was because I wanted to be part of something that felt like it could make a difference and that is what this app does. I and many other can attend important events listed on the app and show our support for others .

Best Activism Platform

This app is such an incredible way to stay connected with other people who are passionate about the same issues as you. It is so helpful and allows everyone to be an activist wherever they are! I love that you can receive updates, hear about events going on near you, and connect with other users and organizations! I definitely recommend this app to everyone.

Great way to stay politically active!

The TurnUp app is a super powerful and effective tool to make sure you’re staying politically active where you can in ways that count! I love the app’s intuitive and user-friendly layout, which makes it so easy to see all the events going on nearby and participate in them. I can definitely see myself using this app to stay engaged with political issues both leading up to and well after November’s election.

TurnUp is a vitally needed app during times where many issues need awareness and people to come together to tackle them. With its unique approach of providing a social media platform for youth activists fighting for a multitude of causes to come together, it takes a crucial part of playing a successful role in our divisive, broken society. Such a Cool Concept

TurnUp is such a cool concept and such a great app for people interested in activism to use. It provides a great range of resources to get you started if you are a beginner but would like to get involved in more activism projects! Overall, highly recommend you at least check it out and see for yourselves. Do not underestimate the positive impact you can make, even from a few events!

An inclusive app that allows all people to advocate for what they want. It makes it so much easier to connect people with one another in order to create change. With this app, people can rsvp to events, vote easier, sign petitions, and more. There’s never been an app as amazing as this one to unite people to fight for change. I will continue supporting this app and using it for my needs.

Great app to make change

I am very interested in womens issues and mental health. Knowing that there’s an app where we, especially the youth of our generation can sign up and be a part of change, is comforting and exciting. I recommend for everyone to stand up for what they believe and this app is a wonderful first step in doing just that!

Helpful, Easy to use

this app is a great resource for connecting with fellow young people interested in activism and social justice and for learning more about current issues. i really like the layout of the app, and one of my favorite features is the way the app compiles events near me that i can attend! i highly recommend using the turnup app if you are interested in youth activism or issues the country is currently facing

Innovative New Platform

Amazing app! This app is exactly what we need for the continuation and advancement of political activism. Generations Z and Alpha are the newest wave of voters in our country and we deserve unbiased, accurate information about our protests/events/voting rights/information about American politics when other social media platforms have dropped the ball. Great interface and there are many updates so the app is constantly improving.

This is the future!

I've always wanted to really participate in activism, but I never had the right tool or opportunity to make the critical step towards taking action. TurnUp puts everything I could want all in one place, and I'm never again going to be unclear on what my options are for being an activist and how to take advantage of them!

TurnUp is designed for you to easily navigate information, find causes you care about, and for you to learn how to host events in your own community! There is access to so many resources through this app, it’s amazing. If you have a passion for activism and social justice but don’t really know where to start, TurnUp is seriously the best place to look for resources.

Stands Out

I really appreciate the usability of the app. It’s great to have events and opportunities to volunteer accessible and all in one place. This way, I can contribute to causes that matter to me, and I am never limited to single cause or type of activism. This app is spearheading intersectional activism. I cannot wait to see the impact everything creates, though the TurnUp app and in activism in general. :)

Good tool for activism

I definitely see a need for an app like this in our current cultural climate! It was difficult for me to get involved in my local protests because activists didn’t have an adequate line of communication with the community, so I often didn’t know where events were happening. This app will hopefully streamline that process and make activism accessible to everyone!

There are always new things being posted to the app. Even with everything being virtual right now, there are always opportunities for things like phone banking. I definitely recommend downloading if you’re looking for ways to get involved in organizing and activism work.

Amazing App!

This is the first app on the app store that I have seen in which youth activists can easily be connected. Nowadays, there are increasing numbers of people trying to create positive change in their communities, but they don’t know how to — TurnUp has an enormous list of ways to get involved. TurnUp is a game changer. I love the app and have gotten all my friends involved.

Revolutionary platform for young visionaries!

As a high schooler interested in social justice and activism, I found it very hard to find opportunities with my demographic in mind. TurnUp completely changed that for me by proving events in my area that were age appropriate and accessible. Can’t wait to continue using the app for years to come!

Are you passionate about activism? Do you need a platform that provides you with a library of activism events? Then I encourage you to get this app! As someone who had difficulty finding events or connecting with peers who share my values, TurnUp made it possible for to me have these things. I highly recommend this app to all!

Awesome!!

TurnUp has allowed me to connect with people in a way I had never pictured possible. As a younger activist, I always found it difficult to find coordinated events.. most information was either non-existent or only on some obsolete form of obsolete social media. TurnUp has made activism so much more accessible and social!

With all the injustices going on in the U.S. right now, TurnUp is a necessity. Young people have tried using TikTok, Instagram, and other social platforms to mobilize and make change, but TurnUp provides users the materials needed to do so. I’ve never felt so connected with my friends in making a difference. This app is unique and more relevant than ever.

TurnUp is greatly organized. The aesthetic of the app along with how it is set up with a main feed, an events tab, and a resources tab is very useful. This makes information for whatever type of activism you are into readily and easily available & I’m excited to be able to stay informed and active through this app!

Really new and refreshing

This app is really user friendly and efficient. I really enjoyed exploring all of its features and my favorite one was the resources tab. It provided links to all kinds of ways we can get involved and make a difference. I really believe this apps will encourage younger citizens like me to become more active citizens.

Awesome platform for activism!

I have been involved in activism for a few years but have kind of fallen out of it recently. This is such an accessible platform for finding organizations and events about what I want to be involved with (environmental justice, racial justice, income inequality, etc.), and I love the resources section for learning more. Will invite all my friends to join!

Best app for activism

This app is great because of how accessible it is to find information on voting and events. The information on the app is very detailed. There’s a lot of information on how to register to vote as well as when elections are. I would definitely recommend this app.

Great resource

This app is really a great tool for educating and connecting youth activists across the country. My favorite feature is that this app posts protests and movements going on, which really brings awareness to many causes happening. It really is so inspiring to see so many young adults motivated about politics and really gives me hope for the future.

When I was first applying for an internship @ TurnUp I was amazed! Like wow there’s a platform that tackles issues that I and others care another! I was unaware that the app addresses issues like BLM, immigration, criminal Justice reforms etc… I can’t wait to further help users, staff and others in addressing these important matters! 👍🏽

Great app!

The user interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate. It is reminiscent of other social media apps, so teen should have no issue using the application. Allows for great communication between strangers and friends alike. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful App!

I downloaded this app recently and I’ve had a great experience with it! I’m really passionate about activism but didn’t really know where I could go to take action and this app is perfect for solving this problem- it has all the events I could possibly go to along with social justice organizations. Game changer 😈

This app is very unique, and I believe that it has a lot of potential as a platform. Turnup is very easy to use, reminding me almost of instagram or other popular social media apps. So far, the app does not have any major issues, and I plan to use it for the foreseeable future.
