I joined Twitter in 2009 when the web felt open and wild and people were genuinely helping each other learn and explore new things. All that died off in recent years, yielding to noise, fake news, FUD and worse. Warpcast is that homebrew, human-first, make-the-web-interesting-again platform that Threads, BlueSky, Mastodon and all the others claim but simply dont nail. It just works. The conversations are authentic, long-form, intelligent as well as fun. It’s like all the virtues we lost behind walled-gardens of Twitter, Facebook, etc with a very easy, familiar onboarding and world-class, brilliant kind people ready to say hi and answer the most newbie questions. If you are familiar with Web3 and have a wallet already, you’ll be even more at-home with the best “cold-start” welcome experience I’ve ever seen across any social media platform or app. I think I might have a mastodon account somewhere. Maybe even a BlueSky? I’ve basically abandoned Twitter/x. I deleted Facebook, and Instagram/threads is only for status seekers and gym selfies. Blegh. Warpcast might still be the nerdy corner of the “social media” landscape, but there’s real great stuff happening here. See you on the inside.

As a novice I really began my web3 journey only in January after recovering from the initial brain rot of interacting with the crypto community on Twitter. Found the idea of social graphs interesting so tried out Farcaster and it’s main competitor. So far I’m quite impressed with the community on Farcaster where every other post I see is extremely thoughtful. Invite only model has its merit because a competitor while still in closed beta has given access to the wrong crowd and the platform has become incredibly spammy. I’m finding out more about *useful* web3 apps by interacting with the FC community daily. Great start and look forward to what’s in store for the future!

One thing there’s no shortage of is failed attempt at new social media apps and crypto vaporware. Warpcast is neither of those. it is a smooth as Twitter with new innovations such as frames and tipping that you won’t find anywhere else a supportive community that I don’t see on any other social media app, and an integration with web three that you can ignore if you’re not in the crypto, but is amazing if you are. Kudos to those who created the Farcaster protocol, and the Warpcast front end. If you’re thinking about whether to give this a try, jump in and play with it, you will not be disappointed.

I'm thoroughly impressed with Warpcast! The app's interface is sleek and user-friendly, making navigation a breeze. I’m not a big web3 guy in fact I would say I largely dislike it. Farcaster presents (at least for me) a valid use case where I was able to replace a web2 product (Twitter) with something that provided me more tangible value. If you can look past all the irritating web3 fanboys and young start up founders who think their words are somehow prophetic than you can carve out a great community here. The open question remains though… how Farcaster will handle the influx of new users over time.

It’s about time we can use social apps where you truly own your account. Warpcast. is a polished app built on top of protocols that let you own and control your data. There are other Farcaster apps popping up with different experiences from Warpcast. They won’t be killed like Twitter third-party apps were killed. Use Warpcast and then try the other apps and services built by the community.

I’ve tried many decentralized social networks over the years, and Farcaster isn’t just sufficient — it’s the best. The app developers go way beyond supporting their users by sharing passing thoughts, funny musings, and even breakfast pics. Apparently one of them owns Gjelina restaurant in LA and is trying to bring in business. In seriousness, it’s a fun app even if it’s now in the App Store. I’d rate it 6 stars if I could.

I found out about the app through the grapevine and my social media consultant advised me to take a closer look for my business. Upon attempting to sign up I was stopped at the email verification after my wallet was apparently made, leaving me with the inability to access my account despite having my backup codes provided. There is no discord to reach out for help, I am not a developer and am not GitHub savvy nor see any place on GitHub as an end user to seek help or guidance. I am concerned for the average end user of this application if this is how things are currently set up. Thank you.

Start browsing Warpcast and immediately feel the good vibes of early Twitter. Warpcast’s algorithm genuinely tries to show you interesting things, instead of trying to get you to outrage and dunk on others. Warpcast has channels, which are thematic feeds where people share their insights on programming, parenting, fashion, the NFL — you name it.

I am really disappointed with the way that this app has changed on my iPad specifically where the format is vertical instead of horizontal. It’s literally impossible to use this way and all of the images look awful…. I was really looking forward to posting my art on this platform and sharing updates of our development from my personal profile, but this has made it a bad user experience. Please consider changing it back to the way it was. Users should not be forced to browse on the app in a vertical format.

Warpcast is a client built on top of some of the most robust decentralized infrastructure. It merges classic web infrastructure with decentralized platforms (Ethereum, ENS, Optimism). Above this stands the well-designed UI of Warpcast. For builders, Warpcast is the go-to platform. It houses the best software engineers, developers, and web3 experts. Many used to flock to Twitter for the collective wisdom of these brilliant minds, but for me, Warpcast has become the new hub!

Farcaster is the best place to learn and meet new people. I could write a long review explaining why - but you probably already know that most social apps are not places to learn or meet interesting people. Farcaster will be the best use of your time everyday and is the next great social network.

I know I can build a reputation and online history with my friends, micro blog, and talk securely since this app actually takes creators seriously and gives you a wallet. It’s also easy UX transition from twitter. Similar but less buggy, no spam and more interesting people.

The app is a wonderful experience for a non native crypto user It feels like a mix of Twitter and Reddit, but then also has all the power of a crypto wallet 🪪 (when you are finally ready for it) Very easy to use, free to sign up for many countries and the team ships new features on a weekly basis

All of the underlying technical innovation aside, the combination of following individuals to populate a general feed AND having topic specific feeds (by way of channels) makes this a really novel and highly engaging social network, purpose built for making connections and diving into wonderful little niches!

The model is finally here to bring time spent on a social network a worthwhile endeavor, there’s truly an incredible community of people here. poignant channels to learn about topics or create your own to find, grow, and interact with your people. ON CHAIN social graph. this is for the masses to adopt with ease. come degen ;) 🎩

The beauty about Farcaster is you can use different clients. Warpcast has been my favorite so far. I’m looking forward to engaging with others in a censorship free environment. Frames among many of the coming features, could be a new meta for Ethereum adoption.

I like the app, and the idea of the app, but every time I open it the app gives me a pop up saying “In-App Purchases are Not Allowed”. I turned them on to pay the initial $5 to create my account, and turned them back off because I never buy anything with in-app purchases (other than this), so why risk it? This is the only app that I’ve ever seen this pop up from, and I see it CONSTANTLY. I’d use it more often if it wasn’t so annoying.

And Warpcast is a popular client to use. The only likely contender I see is Lens. And there is also a world where they both exist and interoperate, benefiting from each others shared networks. Web2 social isn’t ready for the disruption that is coming.

First made this account 3 months ago come back this Saturday engage and actually having fun only to be told i’m being a spammer when I already stopped replying to bigger accounts. Got no warning of this and was straight up just labeled a spammer $5 going to waste hope the new updates correct this

I love knowing I own my social data. My only nit pick: on desktop when I type really quickly it tries to autocorrect like I'm on iOS and then keeps deleting what I type. Very tedious!

Warpcast is a great competitor to Twitter with a better UX in my opinion. The web3 model means that users are not being taken advantage of by abusive algorithms and a purely profit-driven motive. Frames is the breakout feature and token-gated communities will help its growth. A new wave of healthier social media is on its way!

This app has become my most used and new favorite in just over a couple of months No ads, incredible people, impeccable vibes. Give it a try, you won’t regret it 🎩

Looks like a solid app. Function and interface are well designed. However, if you are just trying to complete the quest then know you have to pay a $12 subscription for $20 in OP rewards. Still cool app.

I don’t know if you launch the new update but ever since that I have not been able to upload my images I have tried all different ways to change the size. It’s the app you need to fix that bug.

I love the experience on this app. Underpinned by technology that let’s me own my data, my profile, and whatever I build on top of it revolutionary. This is the way.

But really it’s not a fair comparison. While Warpcast has similar design elements, it is a fundamentally different product in terms of flexibility of content formats in feed, decentralization, and developer friendliness.

Similar to the look and feel of Twitter, with useful crypto integrations, built on top of an open, permissionless, censorship-resistant protocol. We’ll see, but this team may finally have cracked it: free-as-in-freedom social media.

I purchased a few FIDs on a market that I saw the Farcaster founder had invested in and when I went to enter them into my Warpcast account it broke my app completely, and now I don’t have access to any of my accounts. Farcaster is so cool but my experience has been difficult so far and basically I’m completely shut out and don’t know what to do.

Lots of genuine content and innovation taking place here, and the best onboarding experience in crypto so far. Looking forward to the next few years on Farcaster.

You've used Twitter, discord, Instagram, telegram,......but this one app is the combination of all of them. Web 2 on boarding with Web 3 features. So sick

Hello. I paid the membership and created an account and it hung on what appears to be the last step in the onboarding process. Now, when I go to sign in with the original seed phrase I get the error “There was a problem creating your account” during the registering FID step. I can’t use the app. Please resolve this.

10/10. Super easy to signup and fun to use. A blend between Reddit and X. It’s clearly in its infancy, but I think this will get very good over the coming months.

How do you expect to onboard the next million newbie users if people get stuck on an endless loop upon login and can’t even get into their profile? How do expect to scale to mainstream public demand if customer service is so bad that you don’t answer a month’s worth of emails and never resolve issues?
