Positive vibes!
I am the kind of person that needs to know “why” in order to accomplish a task I have been to psychologists, counceling, and one CBT and not one person explained why, where, and how anxiety works impacts your life. My professionals all start out the same way!!! It’s adrenaline that creates flight or fight decisions. That’s it!! Even my CBT told me to read a book! I think he just wanted to gab every session. I needed help and tools and exercises! Within 10 seconds this app made me really understand why I feel this way!! And that was before I had to pay!! If you are not locked in to a multiple month contract why not try it? My anxiety is costing me more then $99 a month! This is what I have been looking for! I don’t have to leave home which is part of anxiety which is part of not getting help. I have spent $99 before in much more ludicrous ways. I’m in.

Horrible & Humiliating Experience
This company sought me out & seemed like a great option. I had an hour interview with a so-called therapist. I was told that she would be reaching out to me twice a week starting the following week. She never reached out. Three weeks later, she called to tell me that they would not help me with my therapeutic needs as I needed in person help. She didn’t bother to explain why they came to that decision as she was in a hurry to end the conversation & couldn’t hang up fast enough. It was jarring & humiliating to be dumped so abruptly without any real explanation but I was somewhat soothed by the promise that she would send me referrals for counseling. The referrals never came. I emailed ableto several times requesting this promised information & received no response. I finally called ableto & was again promised the information & again it never came. I am really surprised that this group is licensed to give any type of therapeutic services as they only seem to offer humiliation & avoidance. There have to be far better choices out there than this unprofessional operation. I would keep looking if I were you…

No replacement for Sanvello
Today I was abruptly notified that the app Sanvello is being discontinued this month and that I would receive a complimentary year of this app because of it. As someone who has been using Sanvello for a little over four years, this app seems like a clunky, lite version of Sanvello. It has some but not all of the same guided meditations (and as far as I can tell, that only includes one of the several meditations I regularly used in Sanvello) and it took me a bit to find the habit tracker but it seems so much less intuitive than Sanvello’s habit tracker that I gave up after adding two of the several habits I’d tracked for four years through Sanvello. I already have a therapist so I can’t speak to the issues many other reviewers mention about therapy/coaching via this app. I don’t plan to continue using this app and I don’t understand why they are discontinuing Sanvello yet keeping this app. And I’m bummed that I’ll apparently be losing four years of tracking myself as Sanvello disappears.

My coach is very observant
She was able to tell from less than 30 minutes of talking that I have Asperger’s Syndrome. The fact that she was able to guess that correctly means that AbleTo definitely hired a very intelligent therapist. While I haven’t used the app as much, the service so far in the first two sessions has been incredible! I believe that AbleTo can help anyone else if they are willing to reach their hand out to ask for help. Also AbleTo does provide helpful options such as suggestion to group counseling and suggestions for books to read.

Horrible
This app was suggested to me during a mental health crisis. After signing up they said they would call to set up an appointment. Well I signed up three times and did not receive a call for MONTHS. Once I finally had my first appointment it ended up being a rehash of all the same intake questions I had already filled out online, which would be fine if I was discussing them with a therapist or coach that was going to be working with me, but it was just a random worker who had no actual interest in what I was saying. Finally when I was scheduled with an actual therapist to start the program they called me to let me know the therapist is no longer with the company so they will have to reschedule with someone else. That was the final straw and I gave up. This is clearly a “corporate” response to mental health, they do not actually care at all. The app is also buggy and crashes and would not even work, I had to use the website to schedule and create a profile. Everything was absolutely awful.

I like the app but have a few suggestions
Love the concepts and videos for the app. Love my therapist and life coach. However, it would be great if you could make the tools more mobile friendly - the worksheets cannot be used unless I print them out or save them as a PDF file, please make it so I can use my phone to fill them out by allowing me to type on it. It would be cool if you could integrate them as exercise modules like the “Brightside” app. Also, it would be nice if you could have more audio lessons that I could listen to in the car besides meditation. I would love it if you could make the app a little more fun and it function a little less “clinical” looking. I really believe that would get people to engage with it more. I wish it had more features that were user friendly. The journal and 3c’s is great, please make it more functional with more bells and whistles.

love the human touch!
I've used over 10 mental health apps (ginger, Lantern, itskoko, betterhelp... you name it) and Joyable has been my favorite so far. During my very first phone call with my coach Leyla, I felt understated immediately. I love how she didn't give unsolicited advice like other apps do. She listened well and asked insightful questions that guided me to develop the strength of reconstructing thoughts. I love the structure of the 8 week program. It feels time bounded and doesn't create long term dependency between me and Joyable. Right now, I know that I have the tools needed when feeling anxious. Thanks to Joyable and Leyla.

I believe in this concept
Also the reason why I give it 5 stars is because there are lots of hard working people out there, with real goals in mind that want access to this service. Being 99$ a month it’s really a fair price. In my opinion should be 100$ 😁 to break it even. I bet people working really hard and diligently on this program and it’s success. So for that I will let this to be said Money Back Guaranteed. I will be very excited to put effort behind this investment and great journey I am about to take. Bon Voyage!

A Lifelong tool for dealing w/anxiety at only $99?! I’m in.
It’s clear the developers and coaches of this app have dedicated much time & care in designing the experiences and support provided by Joyable. PsyD degrees are expensive and professional therapists cost $125-$225/hour - for one session. $99 for a dedicated coach and a whole app of CBT-based tools for dealing w/anxiety?! It’s genius. And I’m grateful. Don’t listen to the “$99 is too much,” reviews - its a highly effective app that does what it claims- helps you deal with anxiety. Thank you to all the people involved.

Wish the free trial was more “free”
I was excited to try this app as I’m looking for anything to give relief. However I can’t just throw $99 if I don’t know what I’m fully getting and if it’s for me. So I was frustrated when the free trial required my credit card information to do it. If I didn’t like it after 6 days could I cancel with no issue? I’ve also seen that 2 years ago some other people made similar comments about accessibility for those with low income, and the developer responded to a lot of comments saying they are “trying to make it more accessible” and yet we have the same issues here again. Really wish I could have tried it 😞

Obsessed is an Understatement
I’ve been using this app for the last few days after and email about a free one year trial. I dove in and have been making it a priority to track my moods and habits and it’s been eye opening so far. I also love the stories and meditations. This app is phenomenal and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.

Worst mental health app
Terrible mental health app. Therapist appointments are not just useless but harmful. Essentially, they have a “standardized” program, that’s essentially just asking you a list of questions for an entire hour. From what I can tell, they try to develop a plan for you to help achieve your goals, but in reality, the weekly visits ended up feeling like reminders of all the ways I failed during the week. The entire process is extremely impersonal, and I would leave feeling worse. It felt like I was answering an hour long survey, and all they cared about was my data. Would never recommended this to anyone!

App Store info is misleading
Although this app description breaks down that this is indeed more of a paid app, the app is technically listed as a free app. That can lead to click-bait type schemes that are not favorable to consumers due to its inherent lack of trust with the choice of categorization. I do not find the services helpful for me or with folks that I have chatted with. But, that’s the great part of the App Store’s diversity of apps. I would recommend to the app developer that they re-categorize to mention an in-app purchase. Secondly, I would recommend they allow folks try a free portion of your app in order to get as much consumer feedback to improve the quality of the experience.

Too expensive
I could really use an app like this but bc of the price am unable to pay that much money and my severe depression would not get better within the one week free trial. So I guess I’ll just continue being depressed and suicidal. The price is just ridiculous for an app, especially a mental health app. Do you not care about the lower income people with mental health issues? So selfish and could possibly cost the lives of people who can not pay. $99 really? Very disappointed after thinking I found an app that will actually help but it would put more money pressure on me which would most likely increase my depression.

Great mental health tool that’s easy to use
Joyable is intuitive and easy to use. It teaches important skills for changing my thinking around anxious thoughts, without needing to take time off work to see a doctor. I’m sure if I stick with it, I’ll be able to reduce my anxiety! Highly recommend for anyone experiencing depression or anxiety.

Ableto do nothing…
I signed up, had my consultation, was told I’d be on their depression and alcohol plan. Got set up with my first therapy session which was supposed to be today. Got the call and they said they can’t help me. They said I need to do detox and find a local therapist that can help me during the detox. After I did that then they can help me. My lady that did my consultation lied and said I told her I drink a bottle of vodka a day. They said that was way too much which is why they suggested the detox in case of any physical issues. They brushed me off. Said they would send an email with resources and that was it.

Less expense than a session in an office
I actually did not use it. I can’t afford $99 a month and it made me extremely uncomfortable to have to give a credit card # before the free trial. So I deleted the app. However, if it is helpful I would agree with others that the $99 is far less than a professional. On the other hand, are you getting the same care as a doctor or counselor in person? Is it safe? But then, you get what you pay for, if you can afford it.

Broken
I was sent an email telling me to follow the link and sign up for AbleTo. I did that and the loading screen came on after I entered my info. And that was it. Just loading dots blinking forever. Customer service told me to download the app so I did. Then the app sent me to the website to log in. Loading dots all day. Customer service then sent me a link to try a different route and one of the required drop down menus was just full of nothing. Couldn’t progress. This app and service will not save you time. Just go see a therapist.

Cannot log in
I have an account with AbleTo and an open ticket. I cannot log on the the website without clicking on the link in the email that was sent with the ticket. On the regular website login, and on the login for this app, I enter my email address and, instead of asking for my password, both app and website say “we’ve sent you an email” and that I am to click on the link in said email. The email never arrives (no, it isn’t in my spam folder). An app isn’t of any use if it’s impossible to log in!

Terrible app for people suffering from real mental illness.
I took the start up quiz and they ended it with saying this app might not be for you because you have too many problems. As someone who has experienced mental health issues over the past few years, I am APPALLED that an app that is meant to help with mental illness would reject someone after they admitted to suffer from PTSD. This app had the opposite effect from what it says it will do. How dare you reject someone who is already dealing with anxiety and a constant fear of rejection?! I wish I could sue this app. Absolutely terrible.

Communication
There’s no real way to communicate with your therapist or any staff in app. It’s quite frustrating when you have a video meeting or appointment and you can’t give a heads up about shakey wifi service or the like. Unless I’m a total dunce and didn’t look hard enough there’s no direct messaging system and the emails for joining video calls aren’t available in app rather sent through an email. IMO these would’ve been the first things to take care of when creating a functioning service.

Payment options
I’ve used this app service before for one year and I wish they could include different payment options. The current payment options is to pay $100 upfront a month. I would like to have available a subscription plan option where a person could choose a different plan. One idea that I have is a one year contract, where the consumer pays less than $100 a month but guarantees the company through a contract that the profits are safe. Another option would be to add low cost in-app purchases and/or a box on the side for Advertisements. Thereby making the app free to use and the company earns revenue from advertising. Etc.

Zero Stars?
I downloaded this thinking it would be helpful. After seeing what $99 a MONTH gets you, I can’t believe anyone would actually buy this. $99/yr would still be a rip off. All of the other reviews that say this is all info found easily on the internet, are right. I’d bet the weekly calls and unlimited texts are either auto generated or scripted responses by unqualified customer service reps. There are legit apps with actual counselors available that charge considerably less for quality service.

This is a wonderful program
I’ve had numerous therapists throughout my adult life. I can remember 2 that I really liked, and questioned how most of the others ever passed their classes. Point being, finding a good therapist is hard to find. Joyable is by far the most effective counseling I’ve been through.

Customer support is nonexistent.
I don’t know why anyone would pay for this. This is for very basic general depression. The life coach rarely responds and you can’t get customer support ever. Want a phone number? Good luck. I updated my review to 1 star, as the company deleted my account with no reason. My progress is gone. I will update if changed. Customer support is refusing to answer me. Nice that a mental support app can’t even respond to you. Very shameful, and sad. Use a better company as this one is pure garbage.

Pricing is misleading
I am fine with the $99 price if it is truly worth it. But, the first page states "7 day credit card free trial" which misleadingly leads one to think that you can try it for 7 days BEFORE handing over a credit card. Of course when you get to the end of the setup, there's the ask for the credit card. This app ostensibly made for a vulnerable population should be opt-in rather than opt-out. I wonder how much money they make off of people signing up for 7 days and forgetting to cancel. Pretty sad.

Un-AbleTo register
The app does now allow to complete registration before scheduling the first appointment. If you don’t schedule after answering dozens of questions, be prepared to have to answer all of those again later. The overwhelming list of names without any profile bios is an absolutely ridiculous way for a user to choose a therapist. The phone support was equally helpful by asking for availability so that they can match a random counselor in your desired time slot.

No Apple health?
Doesn’t appear to integrate with Apple Health. I already track my emotional state in the Health app along with all my other medical details. The exercises and mental health articles in this app are very useful and I highly recommend them (which is why it got 2 stars vs 1) but the app itself is pretty useless for me since it doesn’t have any my mental health information. It needs to integrate with the Apple Health app.

Free program via insurance, just not for me
The 8-week program was for free, via my health insurance, however, both the therapist and behavioral coach were clueless about how to help me (therapist lives in Georgia, behavioral coach lives in Massachusetts, and I live in NYC); It’s better that I keep talking with my friends and some family members, rather than to these strangers who make sure that I “stay positive” and not commit suicide

Massive downgrade from Sanvello
Completely ignoring that you now can’t even use the app without giving out all your insurance information. The tools themselves have been downgraded. The selection and quality of the meditations have gone way down. On Sanvello you also had to option to have the soundscapes on your meditation. This used to be great for getting to sleep. Give me back access to the old app PLEASE.

Extremely frustrating to cancel service
This is a great concept, especially if you are new to therapy. However after 8 weeks, you’re done with your therapist. I wanted to cancel my service and it is VERY hard to get ahold of someone. You only can call a number to cancel service. Easy to sign up but extremely frustrating to cancel.

If you’re going to make an app that’s supposed to help with mental health issues please make sure it works on mobile (can’t even open the app) and please make sure it works smoothly on desktop (crashes constantly). Sincerely, Someone with mental health issues who’s now infinitely more stressed

This app worked one day and that's it. I made my first consultation appointment, and ever since then the app gives me an error "Oh No! Something went wrong" message every time I try to log back in. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my phone, and even installed on another device... and I still get the same error message. Their support email doesn't help.

Pluses and minuses...
+ looks like it could be fun and helpful for simple social anxiety, NOT severe + gives a free assessment of the level of anxiety one has - my anxiety/social anxiety is marked as “severe.” It is ingenious to direct me to pay $99 a month when a copay on Medicare or work-sponsored health insurance costs less and is tailored to the individual - more importantly than the money, I’m not giving yet another app or social site my precious information and time. Just say “no,” and go on psychology today or one of the other many sites where you can find a therapist who would help in person for much less. I don’t trust my mental health and peace of mind to random people on the internet!!

Don’t waste your money
Everything in this app can be found online. It is impossible for an app to address the wide range of anxiety issues people face. Because of this, the app simply won’t help some people. I was very disappointed that the first two weeks were spent learning about anxiety. I’m pretty sure anyone using his app to treat anxiety already knows exactly what it is. Don’t waste your money.
