The videos are great for people learning algebra, but the speed of app is slow sometimes. For example, I tried to do 1 video but it just looped the loading circle. Also, for the algebra wall, you can't find the question you asked you can't help answer someone else's question because it is already answered. So you can't get karma points. Overall if they fixed that and the loading issue I would give it five stars

Hi, i am a 8th grade student taking the algebra 1 course. I hate algebra nation. If students are having trouble they should ask teachers. With algebra nation, my teacher doesn’t even teach us. She just assigns us to watch these incredibly boring videos and just grades the practice book. No teachers should be using this. It is inefficient and unreliable. Myself and all my friends prefer to be taught in person not staring at a computer screen listening to someone you don’t even know talk. All in all, this app should be removed from the app store and teachers should actually teach students instead of making the watch these horrible boring videos that no one pays attention to it learns anything from.

I remember using algebra nation in middle school and high school a lot! They explain the concepts very well and provided a lot of practice. This saved me in algebra two since my teacher retired mid year and spent a month with substitutes. And with this app I was able to watch videos during class time while doing the assignments handed by the substitute. Highly recommend!

This app was so helpful for me when taking algebra. It is so hard to find good practice problems on line, however this app really helped me understand the concepts of algebra a lot better and also gave me a ton of practice with it. It is so easy to use and super beneficial! Definitely recommend using this app!!

I have used this app to remember the basics of algebra since there were themes that would be applied in my Calculus 1 Class. I was impressed by the simplicity of the tutoring and it was so easy to follow along! Without this app, I wouldn't have been able to master every skill in algebra!

Algebra nation is a great app! They really know how to break down difficult algebraic problems and teach them in a comprehensive way. I struggled in higher math classes because of my lack of algebra knowledge but when I used algebra nation I quickly caught up. I highly recommend!!

This app is a great supplement for really learning the material being taught in class. The follow along videos are very helpful and thoroughly explain the material. The extra problems are also very good practice and really prepares you for any tests you might be given!

Algebra nation was my savior in middle school. I took two years ahead in math starting in 6th grade so no one I knew could help me when I struggled. Algebra nation always was helpful though and made me a much better student!

Math nation had been a great resource for online learning especially with the schools closing due to the pandemic. They have great videos and packets that make learning from home a lot easier.

When writing my answer, I accidentally typed in the wrong thing. It won’t even let me delete it! To add on, I can’t even adjust the screen so I can see the problem better.

Was always assigned as extra homework or review by my teacher because it’s not a very good at teaching and would be confusing if the concepts were not already taught

Hate math

I’ve been using video lessons as a way to teach math to my students for years. But finding videos of math content that also engages my students has always been a struggle. Algebra Nation has changed all that. The videos are not only engaging but culturally relevant (including practice examples about Beyoncé and Pharrell). Students are also able to choose their Study Experts which is great for differentiating - especially if you have Spanish speakers in your class. It’s also great to see the diversity in Study Experts. Kiana is the most frequently used Study Expert by far in my classroom (of black and brown girls) because my students see themselves in her. And I just got a new student in the middle of the school year... but she had Algebra Nation where she came from, which allowed for a seamless transition into our class. Algebra Nation has really improved my ability to reach all students.

This is probably the best idea for a middle school/ High school student, but the only issues I’ve had with the app started coming recently with the test-yourself option. It used to let you do the test-yourself with your phone pointed vertically, but now it forces me to use it horizontally. I don’t know if this is just an issue with my phone or if it’s the app itself, but what I know for sure is that it can be fixed with a bit of effort. As an 8th grade student myself, it’s also beneficial to be able to understand my mistakes and if I got a question wrong or not. I just did a test yourself and when I went to check my answers, the question appeared very small and the answers didn’t even show up half the time. If this can be fixed within the at least the next update, it would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully for taking the time to resolve this. 😁

This is the worst thing in existence, and I’ve played fortnite I have no idea why anyone would ever like this. Our teacher does this and absolutely nothing else and I haven’t ever learned anything in that class. Why isn’t there a 0 star rate. Also the game version of this is terrible, level one is super difficult and it took me weeks to just beat level one and I thought I was fighting the final boss or something. Then another level is this guy named Jose and he only speaks Spanish and I can’t change the language. At the last level it was so easy and fun. Darnell was the only good thing to ever come from this terrible horrible app. Darnell is beautiful and amazing and he could do whatever he wants and for some reason he does this and I don’t know why. The “learning” part of this website is useless and the game is so incredibly confusing and weird that I don’t understand why anyone would ever download and enjoy this stupid app.

This app is great, I love the website and all, but this app needs some fixing. I don't know if it's just me, but when I try to switch sections, like leaderboard algebra wall and videos, it doesn't take me there and stays at the same screen, sometimes I have to double tap to get there, which gets kinda annoying. Also, when I comment and try to help someone, someone else might've already helped them before I commented anything, so just like the website, can you make it so it refreshes after you comment every time? Last thing, when you earn karma points, it shows up in the leader board, but not the top where it actually shows you the amount so that you don't have to do any scrolling. Please fix these problems and I'll give you a 5 star. -Alisa K.

Algebra Nation is an amazing resource! We have had outdated materials to teach with with for years in SC and Algebra Nation is one of the only relevant resources aligned to our standards!!! If you have not used it check it out! The pd sessions are a great way to get introduced to all of the wonderful features of Algebra Nation. The App is very convenient for students and teachers. The students love using the Test Yourself! & Check Your Understanding questions on the devices. For my students with limited internet access they have the ability to download videos within the app and watch at home or on the bus. Their customer service is amazing and very quick to respond!

This app has helped me with math. My teacher assigns this basically every week and it’s such a good way to get help from other people. There is a section where you can talk about the topic and ask questions and the other students on the app can help you and answer your questions. There are different teachers who teach you the material on the app there is even a teacher for the Spanish speaker💖 So they are very open to the type of people that go on their app I really do suggest it

Algebra Nation is a great tool that helps provide basic instructions for a variety of different problems. Assignments are already provided by the instructor so they pop up as we progress. After the problems are complete, we can see real time feedback for what we did wrong and how to fix it. The app is useful on the go and helps provide easy collaboration at any time!

This program has really been beneficial to my learning of algebra overall. I was struggling at first but now I'm doing much better thanks to the video tutorials and all that was there to help and guide me during my time after class. I love the algebra wall and being able to get help when I'm stuck. Please make geometry nation because I will definitely need a next year!!!

Algebra Nation is so helpful when you’re trying to review some of your math skills and improve them as well! Algebra Nation helps students understand the concepts for problems and definitely teaches great skills and tips to get these algebra problems right. After using this program, I’ve seen an improvement in my math skills for sure!
