I've been doing ATG since November 2022 and I really find this to be not only the best and most effective workout routine/system for me but also one that incorporates similar philosophies on fitness and life in general. Some may find the repetitive alternating weeks of zero or standards a bit boring but you can always choose one of the MANY other fitness or sport specific programs on the app. I've found the standards program something I can consistently do 5 days a week, I've had more gains in the last year than I ever had in my previous decade of lifting, some injuries (not all) have disappeared completely and have not retweaked or anything and most importantly I'm feeling stronger, healthier and I'm scoring more goals on the ice. If you're thinking about starting ATG, I'd say go for it 100%, remove your tight and weak links while gaining flexibility and athleticism.
I’ve been running through various programs for the past few months. The programs work, there is no question on that! I think there are some app refinement things that need to happen. There are times where videos will play, but no sound and they are truncated with no cues. Other times, it’ll call for equipment a home gym may not have with no alternative solutions. But, those can be easily remedied. The app is fairly easy to navigate, you just need to make sure you’re on the right week. My largest frustration (hence the 4 stars), is that you don’t get one coach. It’s a variety of coaches. At one point, while looking for feedback on a specific item, I got the same response three times. A specific coach would understand/see where the issue resides and fix that problem. When I realized that would be the norm, it makes it tough to communicate regarding goals and critical feedback. Being able to develop a relationship allows for more honest communication and feedback, as well as those simple, minute adjustments that make all the difference in the world. I understand they are all trained in ATG, but as evidenced above, they don’t seem to know the conversations being had before.
I’ve been doing the Zero program for 5 weeks and love it. The app is a big part of that. Probably the best fitness app I’ve used. I’m a UX/usability consultant and critique apps for a living — and I honestly can’t find many flaws here. The content is great and there’s a lot of it, generally easy to find through the Programs and Knowledge filters. My favorite part by far is the form coaching. The app makes it easy to record, edit and send — and tags your video to your exercise. The coach feedback has been very useful, quick, and consistent. The progress tracker is helpful and motivating though I didn’t notice that feature until a coach pointed it out. Only big area for improvement IMO is the technique cues per exercise. At least in Zero you have to watch the video to get the cues. That’s great at first to force you to see the form in action but after a while I just want a list of cues to remind myself going into the exercise (eg flex quads). Also I suspect some of the frequently mentioned cues from coaches aren’t in the videos — would be good to capture those in some kind of easy to scan list for each exercise, at least for us technique geeks. Overall I love it. ATG training would be great without an app but this app takes it to another level. I’m super grateful to have found this.
ATG has been a game changer for me! I’ve had knee problems for years but after a few weeks doing ZERO, my knees are significantly improved. This app is a wonderful way to access the unique workouts and get timely feedback from coaches. Truth be told, my sons are the developers of this app. So am I biased? Absolutely! But I’ve also had an inside view on the development process. I want you to know that this app was not built by some guy in Silicon Valley who never saw a split squat in his life. These guys live and breathe ATG and use the app everyday for their own workouts. They are personally vested in making this the best fitness app out there. So for sure, let them know what you like about it. But you can also let them know what you need, and if it makes sense, I’m sure they will build it.
I am a 56 YO female. Knee pain was keeping me from doing some things I love, mostly hiking. Started this program about 6 weeks before a trip to southern Utah. I had already been through PT for my knee pain with minimal results. This program made a big difference. I was able to hike without pain and all the swelling that usually occurred after. I haven’t taken up running again (nervous about that) but when I run (say, after an escaped dog) it’s pain free. I didn’t think I would ever experience that ever again. Orthopedic doc basically said wear and tear take pain meds or deal with it. Oh, and the coaches are fantastic & extremely helpful make sure to send in those videos!
I've been doing ATG for almost a year now. I love the program and I can't overstate how much it's changed my body and got rid of so many daily pains I used to have. Despite this, this app is pretty clunky, doesn't keep track of your week to week progress, and sending in form sends it so that all your progress is tracked in 1 big DM to the personal coaches. This DM makes it hard to see how much your form has progressed overtime, especially if you want to track a specific exercise. In addition, the standards program has changed 2 times for me in the 6 weeks I've been doing it, making it hard to stick to a schedule. I love the ATG program and will implement a lot of the knowledge I got from it to my daily workouts, but as it stands I'll probably have to discontinue this program and not use this app.
I have been doing ATG workouts for over the past 2 years every so often to help strengthen my knees as well as other parts of my body. The app used before was confusing for me to navigate which became a hassle I just did not want to deal with. This app just came out but I’m already in LOVE with it!! It’s SO much more easier to navigate and understand. It’s simplicity is definitely a plus in my book. Not only is it simple but the design is also very well thought of. I can definitely tell they put a lot into making this app customer focused!! 😊 ATG Online Coaching is a must download - you won’t regret it!
I decided to try this app a few months ago and I just wanna say the programs are great i have a lot of respect for the intent and the research that has gone into it, but the reason i decided to stop using it is because the coaches who you send your form into dont really give good advice, for example when doing an atg squat, which takes quite a bit of mobility to perform, my mid/lower back would tend to round which i noticed and have now fixed myself, but when the coaches saw my form they would just say its awesome without truly seeing the intricacies of the body's position, again i have a lot of respect for the intent and the wisdom that went into this but it is corrupted when the attention to detail, which is a huge factor in movements with big mobility demand, is neglected.
The new app is so much more simple, clean, and effective to use compared to TC. It’s kinda crazy that in only a few clicks, I’m already ready to start working out and/or able to access the incredible archive of information available on there. The ATG form coaching experience is in a league of it’s own and the customer service department may be the most welcoming team of humans that I’ve been serviced by! I still can’t believe how affordable and accessible this level of coaching is…. ATG really nailed the app build on this one!💎
App is intuitive and well designed, with a simple and effective layout. The programs themselves and the instructional videos are unrivaled in the fitness world. I’ve tried numerous workout plans and workout apps, but none have made me had this level of consistent results. I’m no longer just looking for the next workout program. I’m just happy getting better each ATG workout and building up my body for longevity. Thank you Ben and the team for putting this content out there in such an accessible way.
This app is next level! As if the work of Ben Patrick isn’t enough, the personal efforts and guidance of the coaching staff make this app and form of training different and above all other remote training apps out there. If you want to improve your abilities, get rid of your painful limitations, and achieve next level goals/progress, this app is where you want to be. These coaches are who you want to be working with. Ben Patrick is who you want to be learning from!! For all levels! And mimimal/no equipment required!
The app is way better than the old one and gives the ATG program what it needed in the first place. It’s much easier to train and also to study. As a person who likes seeing the facts and having the answers, the literature along with the common-sense approach makes this the best athletic training product on the market. In terms of the actual content regardless of who you are or in what level of activity you participate in the program is revolutionary.
I think the content is designed to keep people subscribed, there aren’t a lot of clear instruction videos but rather hurried examples you have to watch over and over to get an idea. The only formulated part appears to be where they ask you to send in videos for feedback, which you’ll probably need to do before with these kind of directions. The app is weak, it can’t even show full screen videos on iPad and has no integrations with Garmin, Strava, etc. I’ll keep to learn some things for a month but no way it’s worth such an expensive subscription.
I am high level basketball player and some one who is always traveling the world. Being on the ATG program has helped me strengthen my entire body and turn weak areas I use to have into some of my strongest!!! I love their coaching and breakdown’s on all of the videos. Everything is so easy and this new app is a great example of their company. Very simple and extremely effective!!!! I couldn’t ask for a better company to help me stay in shape from anywhere in the world! ATG 💪❤️
This app is a huge improvement in UI/UE compared to the previous (TrueCoach). I no longer have to switch between the TrueCoach app and my web browser when comparing other programs to the current one I’m using. Very well integrated with all ATG content in a single place, exactly what I’ve been waiting for! Salute to Ben and his team for always finding ways to improve their content & services!
Ben and the ATG program saved my knees and my mobility! I was only in my late 20’s and having a lot of knee pain to the point where I was struggling to walk down the stairs. The ATG Program is standalone in its user friendliness, scalability, and ease of entry no matter one’s level of ability, and the tech developers have truly done a phenomenal job at matching that quality of the program with this app. Within a few clicks I can get right into a workout, send my form video, and be done. With only 30-60 min at best to workout during graduate school, I need to save all the time I can. Highly recommend giving it a go. This program has changed my life forever — has changed the trajectory of how I view my field of physical therapy and exercise science in general. And now it’s never been easier to get right into the journey towards pain free ability 💯
ATG Training has improved my athleticism and helped to get out of pain. Form Coaching is crucial to the ATG system, and this app makes it extremely simple to send in form and receive feedback! The app is absolutely revolutionary in terms of user friendliness and performance. They have excellent 24/7 customer service, and too tier coaches working around the clock. 10/10!
Start with Zero then Dense and Standards 6-12 weeks on each. If you don’t have equipment just run Zero then Advanced Zero once you’re strong enough. In the first month I noticed pain relief. After 8 months I’m a different person. I had bad knees, shoulder, hip and back. Pain was a daily thing but not anymore. No pills, no surgery, no pain all I can say is the system works.
The ATG system is changing my life. I can’t say enough about what it is doing to support the active lifestyle I want to have for the next 50 years! The app is in continuous evolution and each version gets better. I have lost my personal training notes 3 times now, which for me is a bummer, but I guess the most important thing is where I am currently and not my exercise log. Keep bringing your best! Highly appreciated!
The ATG System completely turned around my depressing athletic career filled with chronic injuries. The program is intuitive and inclusive. It makes clear sense and anyone can succeed at their level. I’ve used the ATG app for over a year and I have no regrets! I recommend it to all my friends and family. This program has completely changed by life and my health by giving me pain free mobility and strength back after a difficult surgery. Without this program I wouldn’t have been able to get there.
Finally have a training app that works with me! I can work at my own pace with the listed exercises, and even have the freedom to make my own program by pulling exercises from their video library. Everything I record and submit is responded to in a timely manner! Couldn’t be more satisfied with a training app!

With the best coaching and movements ever! Super user friendly, easy to find movements and workouts. Great videos for every movement. Great explanations for everything. Little extras like timers and places where you can add notes too! Great chat function and easy to use for sending in your form on movements! This app is EVERYTHING!
This app is incredibly easy to use and aesthetically pleasing. The details that have gone into this app do not go unnoticed. I especially love the ability to adjust the volume and brightness in videos by conveniently sliding the sides of the screen. The level of commitment and expertise from these developers is off the charts.
I had my left hip resurfaced June 2024 and started PT 2 weeks later. Feeling unfulfilled with just PT, I lined up a daily ATG workout to supplement my PT. At 3 months I am MUCH further than the doctors expected and can return to playing full speed basketball at my morning run. Oh and I turn 41 in a few weeks.
This app is extremely user friendly! Incredibly easy to find and understand the workouts. There is a feature to upload your workout videos onto the app for the coaches with ATG to assist you with your form. I have never used anything like it! Definitely a game changer for me!
You will not find better value for personnel training anywhere! I have been training ATG for two years and highly recommend trying it out! This app just made training ATG even better. Everything runs so smooth and is so easy to use!
