Update - issue resolved
I had accepted the fact that Atom was not going to do anything about my issue. To my great surprise and pleasure I received an email from Sean in customer service. They did indeed consider my request. I’m grateful that they took the time to reconsider my issue. I thank them for their efforts and will continue to use the app. Old review- Plain and simple, customer service is awful. I bought tickets for a blockbuster premier. Apparently someone else reserved the same seats at the same time. Atom still charged me and didn’t notify me for over an hour that my seats reservation failed. They refunded my tickets but by that time the theater was sold out. I was able to book a different showing the same night directly through the theater and not through Atom. But it was inconvenient and messed up plans for others for the night. I had just signed up for the MegaPass program which has a6 month commitment. It is basically $15/month and gives you two free passes. Not bad if you like to go to the movies. I requested they cancel my membership since I no longer have confidence in their system. They simply quoted company policy and stated that sometimes it happens on busy nights. I asked if they could do anything at all to show they cared about their customer experience and the answer was no. This is my experience, it looks like I’m not alone.

In love with it already!
Atom makes it so easy to find a theater, but tickets, and even pay for food and drinks and snacks in advance. This app is very user-friendly, that is understandable to all ages. If you want to look at what’s out there, they’ll have it, and you can even buy tickets on the app itself. By ordering seats in advance, you can ensure you will get a good seat in the theaters. Although they have a pricey convenience fee, you can often minimize that by using the T-mobile Tuesday’s app (if you’re a T-mobile user) and there are deals on $5 off and they wipe out the $1.50 convenience fee that is set on each ticket. I’m so in love with this app already, I got tickets from AMC for $7.74 a ticket without any hassle! Before they would sell “gold” tickets that are $8 each but to be honest, these are just a bit better. You also get to look at upcoming movies and pay for concession meals in advance and that’s a huge advantage of using this app. It’s living up to its hype!

They deactivate without notice
The worst customer care service! My account as deactivated after over 10 times to purchase tix with my atom cash (a refund without fee penalty that I regret choosing). Now mind you the span of me trying to purchase tix was done in a month. Continuously got error message to update my payment method when I have proof that I had money in my atom account. What was the resolution for the customer care Dept? Deactivate my account, supposedly wait 7-10 days to get part of money back. It’s better not to do third party sellers. 1. Third party are NOT FREE! They need to make money, so there’s fees when purchasing. You canx, they stay with the fee portion altho u didn’t watch the movie. Fair? No! 2. On Atom your are also limited as what you could purchase in the concession stands whereas with AMC it has the full menu. 3. Third party sellers are limited on their customer service. Remember they are more worried on getting themselves money instead of the full experience as they are not the movie company themselves. You will not get what you want not expect them to resolve your issue. They don’t care. Don’t my mistake. I know there could’ve been other options to take care of my issues, gift cards, put in the order for me, etc but don’t just deactivate my account and take my money!! My advice, don’t use atom cash, don’t use or buy gift cards, don’t leave your wallet saved. I don’t feel safe.

Horrible customer service and deceptive worry free guarantee
Update: after 8 emails asking for any help I left a one star review and they sent me an email about the review saying my only option were pay the fee to get refund to my credit card or take Atom Credits. The same time they sent this email they also refunded the full amount. They asked me to update this review so I am but I still feel it’s bad customer service to only offer a solution after a public bad review. I will add a star for offering a solution after a review but it should not take that much effort to honor a worry free guarantee. I booked tickets for myself and friends family and we accidentally both booked. I tried right away to request a refund and if I wanted money back I would lost the $15 fee unless I want credits. Since I don’t have use for 8 tickets currently I emailed and asked for a refund. It’s been 8 emails and most ignore the request and tell me how to get a refund or credit online and the ones that do read it say I’m “only responsible” for the fee if I want money back. I’ve tried to explain this was an error realized right away and 10 days before the movie but they won’t do anything.

I absolutely love this app
I first heard of the app through T-mobile Tuesday when they gave us free tickets to see a movie. I absolutely love this app. It’s really convenient and gives you multiple ways to earn free tickets. It’s fast. Every time I go to the theater and go to my app it right away pulls up my ticket before I go searching through it and I love it when I find promos to use to save more money on new movies or even get free stuff. As a regular movie goer this app is perfect and I can count on the app to get me through without major lines and I can enjoy my movie with less hassles along the way. Truly would recommend this app to everyone and the benefits are great. I also love the fact that I can still earn my points from rewards programs I am a part of in the process. Thank you Atom and keep up the great work!!! ❤️

Absolute worst customer experience
This company should be ashamed of themselves. I had my first account over a year ago until I logged it once and noticed that it said a stranger name at the top. Then on top of that, they were purchasing tickets using my account and CC. Somehow their account merged with mine (I changed absolutely nothing on my end to enable this). I had to then deal with my CC company and Atom to get these charges reversed. Atom then told me to cancel my subscription and sign up using another email address, which I reluctantly did. This worked for about 7 months until now when another issue appeared using the app where I couldn’t complete a ticket purchase using my credits or even just paying for them. Each time I’ve spent hours chatting (no customer service #) only to be told they can’t help me. Then to top it off they emailed me saying I’m going against their T&Cs because I have two accounts! They told me to do that- can they not see the first is inactive plus the notes from my first issue?! Worst experience using an app/company. Wouldn’t recommend anyone use this unless you want to fill your swear jar in a day.

My Go-To for Effortless Movie Nights 🍿🎟️
Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Atom movie tickets app – it's a game-changer! Honestly, it's super convenient for buying movie tickets; I wouldn't even think of using anything else. Plus, I love that I can use Apple Pay to check out quickly and easily. The app also lets me select which contacts to send tickets to, which is super handy when planning movie nights with friends. The UI is sleek and user-friendly – big thumbs up there! The only thing I wish they'd add is a representation of screen size or photos of the theater's interior, so I can make more informed decisions on which row to pick. But hey, that's just a small nitpick. Overall, I'm sticking with Atom because it's just THAT good. Give it a try if you haven't already!

Will stick with Regal app
Tried this app today with my son. Purchased 2 tickets with it. It did not apply a Regal gift card even though the app showed a picture of a Regal gift card. I have an Apple 7 plus phone and it gave me the option to put my tickets in the Apple wallet app… which I did. This presented the next issue. In the wallet the Atom ticket did not tell me what row my seats were… just the seat numbers in the row. I had to go back into the Atom app and actually count the rows. I was excited to try the concession ordering thinking this could help me get to my seats quicker… wrong again. Once we checked in with our movie tickets I asked where do I go to get my concessions ordered with the Atom app. I was told to get in line with everyone else getting concessions. I was expecting a dedicated line for Atom preorders. So basically I got to stand in line and get my concessions like I have been doing prior to using Atom. There was no advantage to ordering my concessions in advance. Long story short, Regal app works better and does anything this app does but better.

Horrible App
I used this app a few times in the past and my transactions were successful. Tried purchasing a movie ticket this weekend and I kept getting a pop up screen telling me couldn’t process payment try another card which I did. Funny thing is I encountered this problem a few years back and called Atom they claimed the account was reset and I wouldn’t encounter the issue anymore... lies! Called them again this weekend and I’m still waiting for a resolution. If you happen to have more than one credit card on the account it gets tagged as fraud which is ridiculous. Because the name on the account and cards are the same, at least thats what I was told by the customer service representative.

Great app, annoying privacy requests
Great app. Makes ordering tickets super easy, and allows for pre ordering concessions if the theatre supports it. And supports loyalty cards from a number of theatre chains. Loses one star though as every single time I try to order tickets, the first step in the process after selecting the movie location and time is to “invite friends”, and it asks for access to your contacts. If you decline, it will ask again every single time you place another order. In my case, I was checking seating availability at a number of different theaters and showtimes, as it was a new movie and selling out quick. So I checked at least 15 different location/time combinations, and it asked me 15 times to allow access to my contact. I already said no once. Stop asking me every time time! Remember my choice!

Horrible Customer Service
I placed an order for 3 tickets for the movie Memory. I am an AMC Stubs member and had 50% off of my tickets, and I saw it on the order review, but when I finalized my order I noticed I got charged full price. So I canceled the order and redid it making sure the 50% off applied correctly this time. They refunded my order, excluding the service fees, when issue wasn't even my fault. I have been emailing multiple emails over the span of 2 weeks, with no response. You would think considering this was not my mistake, that Atom would care for their customers and at least include a one time courtesy service fee refund, or at least something to make sure they can keep a customer.

Better than Fandango
Fandango does offer “free” movie posters and such when you buy a ticket for certain movies, something that Atom has yet to offer, but you have to pay S&H for those “free” stuff. Atom is better. A few cents cheaper than Fandango (Fandango charges a $2 service fee while Atom charges maybe $1.35 or something) and it gives you the option to also add foods and drinks to your order so you can skip the long lines and go to a special line for Atom customers at the theater and quickly pick up your stuff there. Definitely have to download the app and use it during those times. I used to use Fandango as my primary app for movie ticket purchasing but Atom has just replaced Fandango as #1 in my opinion. Cool Idea, Theaters need to get on board.
Wish this existed when I was a teenager, so perfect. Hopefully this social element will encourage studios and theater chains to embrace dynamic pricing soon, just like every other industry out there already has. In theory, ordering concessions ahead of time is awesome, but when I get to the concessions counter, the people behind the counter seem a little clueless. Occasionally, they don't start making the concessions until I arrive at the counter. It'd be nice if there was actually someone dedicated to incoming atom concessions alerts. Currently, theaters in Portland don't prioritize those alerts. Sometimes they'll serve all the regular customers before coming over to the atom lane to serve me. At the Regal Cinemas Bridgeport Village or Lloyd Center (Portland, OR area), to be specific, they treat the concessions piece of the experience like an after thought... it’s a bummer because in theory this idea is super cool.

No refund for an unauthorized transaction
Customers beware if you have your CC added as a payment method in their app! They will automatically charge your credit card, even when you do not click the “confirm purchase” button. Once you click your seats, go to the next screen, the payment screen will be skipped and you’ll get a “purchase confirmation” screen. This happened to me so I requested a cc refund, but was charged the convenience fee for a transaction I completely did not authorize. I’ve never had this issue happen and now I am concerned of how they handle their transaction flows. I contacted customer service w this issue and they were not able to resolve, or refund me my convenience fee. AND I even rebooked my showing + same seats right after this transaction. Seems unfair and a bit sketchy that they don’t care once they get your money. I hope this is customer experience is considered to be improved

1) Trying to figure out a few things and one is why are there some theatres that the time of this movie, is either lit up which this light sky blue going around each time of this movie and 2-3 theatres have the times all lighted up around each time and 2-3 theatres are not lit up? Does it mean they don’t support the ATOM?? You filled some of my questions. I need this info today please? I have it right there but can’t finish until you tell me? I hope I can still finish this because my friends will freak out once I can finish this. 2) I know it said something about getting your friend(s) tickets so we can sit together. Is it saying they can get their ticket for the same price or just for sitting by each other? If yes then how do I add them on? What if I am paying by cash and her (them) want to pay with a bank card? 3) I take it that once I started to finish this then I will see the finish bottom? I also want to find out if all tickets are $4 like in the 3D theatres that are a little more if they are $4 as well?? If you could answer all the questions please? I am just asking that because anytime I ask more than just 2-3 questions they don’t answer all the questions. Thanks Amy

Great app with ATOMICALLY splendid customer service!
Love this movie app for buying tickets! Recently their servers were down and I wrote them about the issue and hoping for a free ticket when servers came back up (a promotion they were doing) and they wrote me back via twitter quite promptly and told them they were working on it to get it back up as quick as possible, not to mention they kept their customers informed of the technical issue via Twitter, when they replied back to me, they even made light and friendly convo directly in reply to what I wrote them! I love more than anything else when a business is more than just a frigid entity but actually appeals to its customers with friendliness and a commitment to concern about their product and the customer’s satisfaction! Exceptional service
Let me preface by saying I rarely, if ever, write reviews. But Atom and the app are the exception. From start to finish, this service makes ticket purchase and management painless and incredibly convenient. Their support is equal for regularly scheduled showings and special events (such as Fathom events). What won me over, aside from a well designed and reliable app, is their customer service. Very simply, we bought tickets to a special event months ago and literally at the last minute couldn’t attend. Go to the app, pull up the ticket and click cancel. We had a refund in our account within minutes. Great customer service will always win customer loyalty. Five stars, Atom.

Decent app
If you want to just scan in and go to the counter with the goods ready for pick up this is your app! (Note -turn on location services your gps thingy it acts as a beacon alerting the concession stand worker you have entered and for them to prep everything for you pretty snazzy ) draw backs atom developers and the corporate side fail to insert conditions for service as in all theaters that participate MUST include allowing the customer the choice to buy the food in advance of entering Regal is the problem some refuse to participate only tickets only and if all things they exclude from the food menu if they do allow it are hotdogs they absolutely refuse to sell the hotdogs via the atom app. This is a regal branding situation sort of there is NO uniform conformity each theater operates independently not good Cinemark refuses to partner with atom and they should! Atom’s app charges less than the Regal app !

Terrible experience
I gave this app a try for the first and possibly the last time. I purchased confirmed tickets and even was able to load them in my Apple wallet. So far so good. However, once at the theater they could not find the reservation, the worst part it isn’t clear how to contact Atom. I was told by the manager on duty at AMC that this happens with 3rd party apps. Kinda sounds like the scam Priceline. Anyway, the manager allowed us in the theater but the previews were nearly over. Yes I’m one that loves the previews for upcoming movies. So I hope that others read this and just stick to the theater apps as I still have not heard from atom. So kudos to AMC for the assist. What’s even more ridiculous is that I tried to contact support for this app and it takes days for a reply that’s not automated. And no other assistance for 2 weeks. I guess the movie has come and gone and they don’t care if there was any inconvenience.

Great app ONLY IF theater participates
Purchased popcorn and drinks with tickets for Springfield mall, VA. Prior to movie starting I got text asking if I wanted everything prepared and ready for my arrival. I was in parking lot when I got text so of course I agreed. When I arrived my purchases were not ready. The computer was blinking red with my order and no sound because they lowered the volume. 4 people working the registers and each one saw me. 3 males and 1 female. When the male with glasses finished serving his customers he went to assist his coworker even though he saw me. He walked in front of me to get something. Finally I had to yell “Excuse me. Are you taking care of Atom orders” If I wouldn’t have said that they would’ve continued taking care of others. What’s the point of ordering food purchases if you’re going to ignore the orders and customers ordering from Atom?

Cyber security very lacking
I love the ease with which this app works. Unfortunately it also seems to be very easy for hackers as well. I had a Megaplex Theatres Megapass, which must be used through this app. In the past 6 months I have had fraudulent tickets bought 5 times. I’ve changed my passwords every time, but it happens again. I have been able to cancel the tickets, but Atoms only refunds them in the form of “Atoms Cash.” You must contact there customer service to get it refunded to your credit card, and it takes 7-10 days. Pretty messed up that it takes seconds for them to take my money and days to give it back. It’s really a hassle and frustrating. It should not be this easy to hack. If you trust a company with your credit card info, you hope they will protect it. I’ve finally canceled my account rather than continuing to risk my information.

Revolutionary
Perfect way to keep up with this new age of watching movies. New Interface is super user friendly. Out of all my purchases through Atom I’ve never had not one complaint nor had to contact customer service about a ticket or money issue. It is SO freaking easy to buy and to CANCEL. You do not know how many times I will buy tickets ahead of time and the group I am with will decide to do something else instead... cancelling with ease. No need to talk to a machine, a human, nothing.. cancel with one button!! Amazing!! Thank you so much Atom. Please look into a monthly subscription service.... where we can go watch any movie as much as we want as long as we’re subscribed!!

Update review
I ordered tickets and a poster for acengers endgame and took avout 5 weeks to arrive, customer service didnt know where my poster was adter shipped or know when it would arrive, after being frustrated about the length of time since it was suppose to be a gift for my nephew, i refused to use this service again. Now After speaking to someone from the developers team two months ago, i was explained and satisfied how that person helped me after my issue. I planned not to use atom again but i am. I was given tickets to see any movie and my nephew choose lion king. Honestly great full with the service the lady gave me and so is my nephew. We will be happy customers using Atom.

Verry efficient
I like how it has so many offers through the app and especially when you use T-mobil Tuesdays specials. At first it is difficult to understand the works of the app but then wen you find you can do so many things its amazing. I love how you can invite friends and instead of going to each separate movie theater website you can just go to one app pick your( and your friends )seat and decide as a group how it will all be paid honestly i have bought so many tickets since i got this app. Not only that but there is often a separate and shorter line (in many theaters i have gone) to scan your tickets when you buy through atom.

Worst experience
So I have tried this app twice and it always disappoints me!!! I specifically booked a certain day because I knew I would be off work the app chose another day for me to see my movie!!! When I realized what happened the app was asking me for the review of a movie I didn’t get to see. Call customer service to explain only thing he says is I understand so I asked for a supervisor and he never returned back to the call!! Customer service is horrible and this app has more fees than fandango. I learned about this app thru T-Mobile Tuesday’s and was trying something different!!!

Convenient, but App has some Bugs
The app is very convenient for doing all your movie purchases under one hub. I have Both an Icon X membership as well as AMC premiere membership. I can access both under same app. On the subject of memberships, however, I have encountered a couple of annoying bugs when it comes to Icon membership. 1. When I save a credit card to the system, the cvv confirmation does not always work; I end up having to register the same card multiple times. 2. My membership renews on the 29th of each month (its based on the day you first purchase the membership). There are times when the app does not renew with my free pass; for the month of February I suspect its because most of the time there is no Feb 29th. There have been periods of up to 4 months where my free movie voucher was not added to my account; I would have to ask the manager at the Icon theater to contact support for the atom app. THAT being said, last issue I have had is the app support. You are only able to email them; I have yet to get a response. Room for improvement, but overall its a very useful application.

Checking in issue
I really enjoy the Atom App. I’ve made it a point to go to theaters that use the app. It is nice to be able to use different payment methods and assign tickets to people in your contacts. The one big issue is checking in at the theater. Whoever arrives first at the theater and scans the barcode checks in both people. If someone in your party arrives after you and scans their barcode it will read “invalid”. If you have to be together at the same time, then it shouldn’t give you the option to send tickets to friends. It gives the impression that each person is getting their own ticket/barcode.

A Security Nightmare
My account was hacked and Atom showed no initiative to help. Their only form of support is an email hotline, which I emailed 3 times without receiving a single response. During this time unauthorized purchases were being made. I had my Apple Pay linked to my account and there is no option to remove your saved payment method. I had to completely disable Apple Pay from my phone to remove access to Atom. I had changed my password 3 times, none of which kicked the hacker off. As long as you have a logged in session, it seems you can stay active as long as you’d like. There is no 2 factor authentication. This is a security nightmare and I can’t imagine how this is remotely passable for a technology company in the modern era. Use Fandango, buy direct from theater, anything but this.

Great for any cinephile.
I just it this app over the weekend after winning free movie tickets on the radio, and I've had no issues with it thus far! I cancelled two movie tickets today after my plans changed, and I had no issue rescheduling in the app and getting another set of free tickets! Only quirk is that Cinemark theaters (which I happen to be the closest to) aren't set up with the Atom ticket app, which means I have to go out of my way to look for a AMC. When almost every theater is compatible with this app, THEN it will get a full five stars. However, it's still a good app, perfect for anyone that likes to plan ahead of time and order tickets for movies are coming out soon.

Don’t buy through atom
I bought tickets through atom for Cinemark, I went to see my movie and I was told I couldn’t go in with my minor at the time of the showing on a Friday night. They were going to refund me my tickets but couldn’t because I had bought them through atom and I had to go through them to get new tickets or a refund. I emailed customer service and they tell me they can’t refund me or give me new tickets because Cinemark doesn't know atoms cancelation policy so there’s nothing they can do I had to cancel 30 min prior to showing I didn’t cancel because I couldn’t make it I wasn’t allowed in. I said well as partners with cinemark I believe you should know each other’s policy that way this doesn't happen again. I lost my tickets and my money 😡

I have never been more caught up with movies thanks to Atom. The app is so easy to use that it’s the only way I buy movie tickets now. I even have a watchlist so I can actually remember what I want to see and when it’s coming out. On top of all that Atom drops the occasional promotion i.e. buy one get one tickets on a certain film. Thank you Atom for having an awesome app/service and getting me out of the house a little more than I normally have! If you are a movie lover or just want to see more movies I would recommend getting Atom and taking advantage of all they have to offer.

False advertising!
Atom claims to allow cancelation anytime before the showtime on their order confirmation screen, but in actuality some films (such as Beyoncé’s new film) are exempted from this policy, but you don’t find out until you try to actually cancel. They then say, you should have read the fine print about the movie before believing what the checkout screen says! A VERY dishonest approach to ticket sales. DO NOT USE ATOM! I took the issue up with two different customer service representatives and also asked to speak to a manager and their response was, sorry, it’s not Atom’s fault, it’s the distributor’s fault. That is patently not true. If the order checkout screen says “cancel anytime” you take their word for it. It does not even warn you that there might be exceptions.

Awesome Overall Experience
I love this app. The fact that you can reserve your seats at your fingertips is awesome. But the best thing is when the agent scans your ticket at the entrance, the concession stand workers is alerted (somehow) and starts prepping your online order as you’re walking to the concession stand. You stand in a separate, special line from the general public line which is way quicker. That is so cool. But you can also cancel your tickets too as long as you cancel 30 minutes before the movie start time. Talk about absolute convenience at its best. Awesomeness!!!

Great App
ATOM Tickets are a great way to make going to the movies simple and easy. A few easy steps, user friendly interface and fast too. I use this app every time I want tickets to the movies in any state I’m in. They constantly have good deals and when I get to the theater. It’s a quick scan of my smart phone and I can get to the movie on time even if I’m running a bit late. But don’t just take my word for it I’m sure there are many others who feel the same way ! Do your research and enjoy.. don’t forget to silence your cell phones 😁

UPDATE: After the initial issues getting customer support with a bad ticket order, Brandon reached out to me the next day and promptly resolved my issue. OLD REVIEW: Purchased tickets for Mission Impossible, nowhere on the movie description did it say there were Chinese subtitles, and yet there they were. Walked out of the movie and asked for a refund from Atom but they said it’s the theater’s responsibility, not theirs and refused to compensate us in any way. Excellent customer service!
At first I was going to write a bad review for this app. When I bought BTS cinema tickets the order didn’t process, I thought it would take a while to process so I waited until the week of the show but still it didn’t process so I contacted customer service to fix the issue. I expressed to them that the BTS movie is limited and the last day was that day and I didn’t want a refund I wanted my seats to work. They responded well and took care of my issue and I was able to buy my original tickets back can’t be happier!

Very Disappointed
Was looking to use this app because I always buy tickets for a group of friends and have them all pay me later and I liked the feature where you can send them all their tickets using FB or their phone numbers. However, I was immediately turned off by the difficulty in navigating the app to find a theater near me with showtimes (that I know are at said theaters) but the app kept saying the closest theaters to me were about 2-3 towns over. I couldn’t find one of the 3 theaters in my city and when that happened I just uninstalled the app. Looks like I’ll stick to the traditional buy tickets on fandango and have my friends Venmo me and give me cash. I was looking for convenience and navigating the app alone was very inconvenient and frustrating.

Great app interface but is more expensive than buying directly from the theater
So overall the app interface is really clean and simple to use. You select your theater, showtime, seat and enter your payment details and your done. Really quick. However, right now they only support about 1/3 of the theaters in my area which is compared to Fandango which supports almost 100%. Also, I’ve noticed after taking into account the convenience fee that Atom charges you, alot of times it’s MORE expensive to buy through Atom than buying directly through the theater’s website which could make this app completely useless. Overall 2/5 since its more likely going to cost you more money to use this app than it were if you weren’t going to use it.

Cheaper Than Fandango, but concessions is a joke
Yes, you will save money on the ticket fees which are cheaper in this app than Fandango. But the "fabulous" concierge-like features for concession ordering are a joke. I have tried it twice now, both times a complete fail. In the theaters I have tried, not only is there absolutely no "express line" as promised, but they also DO NOT get your order ready ahead of time. You have to stand in the regular lines like everyone else, and then you have to wait for your order to be gathered up like everyone else. So basically all you get is a prepay benefit. The money savings is OK. But given the fail of the promise of the rest of the app, it's not enough for me to keep using it.

Great with One Caveat
I love the app, but I really wish there were a way to view which screen/auditorium corresponds to each showtime before purchasing tickets. At some theaters, not all auditoriums are created equal, so if a particular film is showing on multiple screens, it would be nice to be able to see this information when making a decision of which showing to go to. This is information which Atom clearly has, as (again) it is shown, after purchasing. Just this one little enhancement would make me feel like the convenience fees charged by Atom are fully justified!

Great app, very convenient and easy to use!
It’s easy to use and good for a quick buy when wanting to go see a movie. Whenever I had a bad day at work and just wanna go home and have a nice date with my sweetheart, it’s perfect to look through and choose what movie, where and what time at the drop of a hat. Some places you can go ahead and order your food, I haven’t done that yet! I’m sure it’s just as easy. Anyways, great app, easy to use and very convenient

App is struggling with functional issues
I loved using This app but lately it’s been having issues being about to get tickets to a major theater like AMC, which is unfortunate especially when there are promotions . Also in regards to their message center, you click on the offer regarding a certain viewing/show, and it takes you to a totally different one. I.e Taylor swift viewing and it took me to The Good Mother. Emailed them about the issues about the promotions and AMC tickets and they did nothing but say it was a theater issue, to go to a different theater. What’s the purpose of that? Might as well just use the AMC app and uninstall atom if that’s the case.

Protect your money and your wallet, disconnect Atom Tickets account
Atom Tickets app is an efficient way to part you from your money and empty your wallet. Several days ago I was charged twice for unknown tickets, for unknown movies, in unknown theater, in unknown town, not even in my state. My attempts to get back my money and have them rectify their error had no response from Atom Tickets: customer support email is in name only with no response action, telephone support amounts to a recorded message that such support does not really exist. If you want to protect your money and your wallet, I would recommend you to disconnect your Atom Tickets accounts and advise the same to your friends and neighbors. Act now, before it’s too late.

Need a Rewards Program
After recently bolting from Moviepass I used Atom to book my ticket to see Endgame. The app itself is great, very easy to use and my theater has a special line just for Atom food pickup which is nice. I took off a star because going forward I will probably use Fandango only because of their rewards program for booking tickets. The cost is about the same so having a Rewards program makes Fandango the better choice. I know Atom had a Rewards program last year and they need to bring it back permanently if they hope to compete with Fandango.

Too many obnoxious behaviors
Forces you to enable or reject push notifications EVERY time you open the app. I’ve complained about this in the past and the developers ignore my complaints, and with each update of the app this annoying behavior persists, meaning it’s a conscious business decision to irritate people. Automatically plays ads that take up a large part of the screen. This app would be fantastic if it didn’t have so many ways of trying to shove specific movies and content at you but it’s not user friendly. I would recommend just buying tickets in person at a theater or using the theater’s app directly instead of this advertising laden junk.

Terrible sign-up and no way to exclude genre or rating
The sign-up process is terrible, very glitchy and frustrating. App took forever to download, nothing else open on my phone and over a 100MB connection. Simply weird. The want your number to send you your tickets?! Why? Just email them to me like everyone else. They probably just want my number to sell later on, not surprisingly they don’t have a phone number themselves. As soon as the app loaded it asked for notification permission, Ad tracking permission, and exact location tracking permission. Ahhhh No, No, and No. I can put the cinema address in myself. The app does not let you turn off all email adverting (receipts and tickets excluded of course), there is no way to select or eliminate movie genres, nor a way to block out certain ratings. Got this app for the T-mobile coupon. It says “zero fees”, only received a discount was still charged fees. Used and done, deleting until they at least add a way to block out genres and ratings.

It’s an ok app unless you make a mistake or select the wrong theater because that’s easy to do when they all have the same name. AMC 18 or AMC 24 I mean it’s easy to do and Atom can literally do nothing but transfer you to the theater who will then Make you come to the theater (remember it’s not the one you might currently be at) and refund your ticket. It would be much easier to simply walk up to the theater and by the ticket at least then it removes the potential for mistake. Unless you buy tickets days in advance and can adjust Incase of a mistake, I probably won’t use Atom unless buying group tickets days I. Advance. It’s not good for anything else

Failure!!!!!
So I had planned a trip for my boys and husband to attend a movie night before our daughter arrived. The baby came earlier than she was supposed to by a few days and they were unable to attend the movie, obviously. I reached out to get the same tickets just a different day for them I got an automated response and nothing, after a week still nothing so I responded to the automated message and still nothing it has been over a month without a single attempt to help! Zero (negative 5) for customer service alone. Even if someone reached out said sorry we can’t t refund for xyz or supply a new date fine! But not replying at all thats unprofessional.

Robbed
I recently found out my account was hacked. Someone bought $150 worth of tickets and decided to return them. The money was taken out of my checking account and left as a credit on my atom account. I have reached out to try to get my money back, through email. There is no customer service number to call. They have responded every other week getting no where. I don’t believe they will give me my money back. I highly suggest not downloading the app and putting your personal information on there if you are expecting them to be helpful in anyway when an issue arises. I don’t believe that will be the case.

Wish they’d bring back Rewards
When I first joined Atom, I loved that they had a Rewards Program where every 4 tickets earned a free one. The smooth transactions and use of my AMC Stubs was an added bonus. However, I am sad that they have not brought back some form of Rewards program. I have been ordering most of my tickets through Fandango as they do a “Buy 4, get $5”. I do appreciate when Atom does run specials such as the recent “Get $7 off when using Chase Pay” but having a dedicated rewards would bring me back.
