The Federal Blue Cross Dental Program has proven to be very useful to me at time when I have had some unexpected dental problems. It has allowed me to handle difficult dental problems with confidence.
Security so good I can’t even access my own account
I’m already over Federal BCBS and it hasn’t been a month. GEHA apps and websites are so much easier to use. I’ve reset my password and still can’t get access to my very own account. Ridiculous. Will be switching back to GEHA next year. Don’t know what the big deal is about this company. Accessing my own account shouldn’t take an act from God to be able to get into. All of them are that way.
Terrible app. And the BCBS online experience is generally poor too. How can such a massive company not have a functioning and easy to use online presence of its customers. It’s difficult to view and submit claims, or maybe that’s the point. And claims are denied for stupid reasons which require time out of my day to point out their mistakes and resubmit. Will be switching to another company next year.
Load times are ridiculous over any cell phone or wifi, locks up when looking for a dentist, absolutely will not remember my device, no facial recognition feature. You have till November 13th to fix it. Good luck, I enjoyed the health, vision and dental until I needed the app to work. Check out any other health applications in the world for ideas.
The site provides all these Dental practices BUT when you go to them they do not take BCBS FEP Dental. I have complained about showing many practices that do not participate. I would never have joined if I knew this was the case. I will cancel at the first possible opportunity. What a ripoff. I am now worried about my basic plan After over 40 years
Been trying for days to log in and can’t do anything. Trying to change password, can’t. Trying to log in on website, can’t. There’s an issue with passwords and changing them. Please fix so that I can get in either via app or website.
Just like BCBS’ website for the FEP plan, this app does not work. I can “log in” but cannot see any claims, cannot see my documents, and cannot see any EOBs. No surprise given that their website is just as bad and they never said EOBs. They clearly don’t invest the same resources in the FEP plan that they invest in the private sector plans.
Should I begin with the many frivolous denials of claims or poor customer service? I’ll begin with the app that does not work. I often need to change passcode even when I type my passcode correctly. I’ll begin with lack of face recognition accessibility
Very difficult. Everytime I log in it seems, the site is down. Also, if you do get to log in, I could check my claims and when through its already timed out asking for another log in.
The response to this app being shotty is “go to our website” but it should be “let us fix the problem”. This insurance has done nothing but run me in circles and make me pay for basic dental cleaning.
Not a single part of this app works. The website for dental is also completely down at all times. Either put out a functional app or just don't bother.
Whenever I try and add my card to Apple wallet, I get the following message: “ID card cannot be added to Apple Wallet Please make sure you have Apple Wallet installed and you have signed in with a valid Apple ID.” Apple Wallet is installed and I am signed in with a valid Apple ID. What gives? I don’t want to have to wait for the sign in process just to access my card.
This application is terrible. Half the time it doesn’t work. Now I can’t log in. Please it’s 2024, certainly you can hire a tech who can maintain the site,
Please add functionality to include the member ID card for dental. This app doesn’t allow users to add any member ID information like the medical app allows. An electronic dental ID card would be extremely helpful.
No login, no I’d card to look up. It is just a 2 minute timer, contact us, and provider lookup. Basically worthless as an app. At a minimum, I would want to be able to login and lookup my I’d card, but ideally it should function just like the healthcare app, able to lookup what is covered.
Ridiculous. Waste of money. 2021 is half over. Why has it taken so long to get an appropriate AP going? 2020 offered plenty of time to work in that. If I could give NO stars I would have. I would like my money back for this AP.
I’m extremely disappointed with this app. Unfortunately, you don’t have access to the insurance card, or ID number. The only thing you can do is look for providers.
This app is a joke. All you can do is look for a provider. Oh, and don’t forget the very important timer for brushing your teeth. Really? What a waste of time to download.
If I could rate this application with half a star I would, as it offers no BCBS member information whatsoever. Adding a shortcut from the actual webpage accomplishes everything this poor excuse for an app doesn’t.
Overall my experience with customer service has been good, but the technical side of the company has been a horrible experience since roughly around November of 2023. I first was brought onto BCBS Dental back in March of 2023. I was able to log in with my credentials, setup my account, and access my information via web portal or phone application. Since roughly about November of 2023 I have been trying to access my account on BOTH the phone app and web portal with no success. This isn’t a top priority since I’m only doing routine maintenance twice a year, but it just seems every single time I I want to access my account, the system is apparently under going maintenance. I have called customer service several times with no success to getting into my account. Customer service has been trying to help me out anyway they can with limitations due to their role. I attempted to get into my account today, 2/16/2204, after my recent call with customer service in hopes resetting my password would work. Well… it kind of did? I was able to reset my password on the web portal, but as soon as I was in my actual account, the website failed and claimed technical issues. I attempted to access the phone application with no success. It doesn’t hit me with the red error message anymore when I put in my new password, but it doesn’t get me past the username and password page. I would like a developer or someone to contact me about this in hopes of resolving the issue. If this issue continuous until it is open season for benefits, then I will have to go somewhere else since this would be unacceptable.
This app is so annoying...it has a login option but sends you to the website to login. It sends an email with a security code versus a text which is annoying as well. I have to reset my password every time I try to login even though I have the password saved for this. Get it together

In addition, you can store your digital insurance ID cards in your Apple Wallet. This makes for a much more convenient experience.
