Seems for me the glitches are fixed!
I love how simple that make it to track your day and the many varieties of meals and snacks they offer— could be a me thing, but I wish in the quiz I could’ve mentioned that dessert is a must for me lol Where are the yummy healthy sweet snacks? I have a sweet tooth and while I know many healthy treat recipes I don’t want to throw off my count yet still end up eating them anyways. Anyway, most of the meals give me an idea of a calorie goal and ingredients to use. Not everything is readily available to start the exact meals immediately or any of the alternatives for a noob like me, but I’m seeing patterns and slowly upgrading my pantry. It would be nice if you could choose a day to get a grocery list, which you can, but you can’t change or make adjustments to it.

Program works, app needs work
I have been using Beyond Body for about 3-4 weeks. I say 3-4 as 1 week I was traveling for work and, obviously, didn’t cook at the hotel. If I go out or make something for a special occasion, I can’t add what I actually ate… even if it isn’t on the plan. It would be helpful to be able to do that. If I change a meal for another option the data isn’t reflected in the shopping list. I am also making the dinners for 4-6 people as I am not making 2 meals for my whole family. We all eat the same thing for dinner. It would be helpful to have the shopping list reflect that as an option/meal. Currently, I add everything to a spreadsheet and place my grocery order based on that taking 4 or more hours. Lastly, I have been surprised at how good some of these meals are and I am losing weight and feeling better! I do not like that the ingredients are so varied that I’ve doubled my grocery spending to almost $300/week or more. That is not reasonable for me. I don’t need to buy a whole thing of almond milk or coconut milk for 1 or 2 meals, then see it wasted as I didn’t touch it again. My refrigerator isn’t big enough for the 6 types of milk, 5 berries, 3 different lettuces, 3 onion types, not to mention 7 oils, etc etc etc. I love that everything is varied, but some things could be consistent to save the customer $ and frustration.

Okay
I gave this a 3 star because I really do think there could be improvement. When making the shopping list there isn’t a lot of combining recipes. Another thing that is an issue is some things are not included into the items required list but then is in the recipe. For example today I made a steak and rice dish that the only ingredients listed were steak, bell pepper, olive oil, wild rice, and black sesame seeds but when I got to the instructions it stated to also add garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. I had soy sauce and garlic already at home but I didn’t have ginger so this is really annoying to me. Also I know they are trying to be as accurate as possible with measurements which I appreciate but I wish the unit process was better. Like I had a recipe that asked for a bagel and instead of saying 1 bagel it said the amount in grams. I don’t have a scale yet I just ordered one so it makes it hard to order ahead of time because I’m not carrying around a scale everywhere I go and it makes it hard to get meat since it’s all measured in the stores by the pound. Another thing is there are certain things I just don’t eat. Such as Greek yogurt and in 3 days so far they have had yogurt as a snack and I can’t change it. So instead I have to skip it and I can’t edit my preferences after I created my account.

Needs to have the glitches fixed
I liked the app starting out although I started experiencing issues right away. The meals are decent, though can take significant time for some items. I connected the app to my smart watch/health app so it could track my calories burned. But it’s barely tracking anything. I will do a full workout and my smart watch will say I’ve burned 600 calories, the app will say I’ve only burned like 4 calories. When creating the meal plan you are able to put in items you don’t like so they will exclude them from meals, however when I pull up the meals, it will have the very ingredient’s I asked it to exclude. And some of them will have option that are the same (ex, ingredient is tofu. Options are firm tofu or soft tofu. Not helpful if you don’t like/allergic to tofu). I tried to recreate the meal plan to see if I could get better options and when I did so, it gave me a lot of the same dishes, but then the app started marking some meals as skipped or done so it already applied them to my daily eating diary. I contacted the help desk and their only suggestion was update my phone and then delete and reinstall the app. It didn’t fix the problem. It just became annoying to use with all the issues so I deleted after a little over a month of fighting with the app.

SLOW support and make sure you keep track of dates
Partially my own fault because I failed to write down the date I initially signed up for this 3 month subscription but everything else I’ve ever signed up for has sent a “hey we’re charging you on this date next week” or similar email…NOTHING from beyond body. I thought I had two days left when I saw the charge hit my account and immediately emailed customer support to see if they could reverse it and cut my subscription…after a day they got back to me and said the best they could do is give me back half the charge since I agreed to their terms or whatever. Fine, shame on me for not reading the fine print and writing down the date I subscribed, I guess, but I’m still chasing them down for some kind of response after another day and a half past agreeing to the partial refund. Honestly at this point I’m just so irritated by the whole thing that if the charge hadn’t thrown my account into a negative, I would say screw it and not bother…which is honestly probably what they’re banking on; people forgetting, and then being charged and only offered a partial refund, and then maybe not paying attention for the follow up and confirmation of the refund. The whole thing is just so sketchy it negates any positive feedback I might’ve had. I’ll lose the weight without the overly-complicated meals and gross, unskippable snacks.

App is so buggy I can’t even use the program.
There’s so many issues with the app, that it makes attempts at using the program too frustrating. The starting weight you input consistently changes, making tracking your goals impossible since every time you “reset” the old program information is also reset. The grocery list function has been not working, and I don’t want to manually click through every meal to try and determine the list. As other reviews have mentioned, there needs to be a way to bulk edit a preference for an ingredient. For example, I only want to use oat milk but I have to change all meals from coconut/soy/rice to then generate the grocery list (if it worked). Also, I am seeing major inconsistencies with the food locals and the measured size of ingredients when I input into a meal tracking app like CarbManager. This causes me to frequently need to skip meals/snacks on the program to stay within the correct caloric deficit and feel like then what’s the point of the program? Many features don’t save correctly either; daily weight for example never saves as done even when inputting weight. I also dislike that the app doesn’t sync to other apps for steps, calorie tracking, exercise and I have to manually input these all the use the app that doesn’t save or remain consistent. Extremely disappointed.

Good concept, needs refinement
The pros: easy water tracking, tasty and varied meals right to your specifications, ability to favorite meals and sub one meal for another, nice charts of goals. The cons: meal prep/cook time estimates are ridiculously off. How can a 20 minute recipe’s first step be “cook the dry wild rice for 45 minutes”? I’m starving here on a diet and want to know when I can eat! Also, as others said, I need a more full calendar from which to select my shopping list. This week and next week doesn’t cut it if on the last day of a week, I need to shop for two week’s worth of meals. And finally, the menu rest is a big pain. After a month, the app wants you to take the quiz again and regenerate the menu- the problem being I can’t choose a day in the future on which to start the new menu while keeping my current menu. This happened to me one evening after dinner and a grocery shop for the next week worth of planned meals. I lost everything I had planned with no warning that was going to happen. Despite allll the cons, I use the app a lot but it seems it could easily be made better.

Be aware
The required recurring subscription plans are difficult to cancel. If you simply cancel in advance as with other plans, they cut all access to your plan immediately. If the charge comes in your card there are no refunds si make sure this plan is 100% what you want. They charged over $100 to renew the subscription then cut my access when I asked to cancel the future recurring charges, so now I get 0 access for $110! As for the plan, I did not lose weight on the plan, it was very time consuming to plan for meals. If you want to change a meal plan (there are different options) any changes happen immediately and erase the one your planned for this week, so you either wait to get your shopping list until the day of, or start over with the current plan. I would spend at least a. Hour a week simply selecting g the meals or ingredients for my chosen plan, I do not personally have that much time to dedicate to the selection of “personalized pre planned meals.” As for the personalized part, I did not see any personalization evidence. Foods I am allergic to were recommended in my plans regularly . Buyer beware, I was very excited to find this, now I simply feel taken advantage of by a mediocre company.

If only the tech worked the way it’s supposed to
Recently started using the app and have been experiencing glitches from the first day. The substitution options mostly don’t work. When you select the alternative you want and hit “Change this meal,” an “Oops! Try again” error invariably pops up. I’ve tried everything from turning my phone off and on again, double checking that my iphone has the latest update, to deleting and reinstalling the app, all to no avail. I can still view the alternative meal description and use it, but then the shopping list can’t be tailored to the actual meals I’ve chosen. Having an auto-generated shopping list for me is key to being able to stick to a plan, so this issue is a biggie for me. I also tried making some changes to my meal preferences and when it regenerated my plan, it still used foods I had excluded, so it seems you’re stuck with the preferences chosen in the initial quiz. Hopefully these glitches get fixed soon, but if they don’t this may be a deal breaker for me. It’s a shame, bc the service itself is amazing.

Good tool, but needs work
I’ve been using the app for several weeks now. At first the shopping list didn’t work, but that has since been updated and now works. While there are several things I wish the app would do that it doesn’t, my main issues are the fact that data changes without prompting. My weight keeps reverting back to my original starting point, so I have to keep changing it back. And the ingredient amounts keep changing from grams to cups and back again, without any rhyme or reason. I have a scale, so this isn’t a huge issue, just irritating. I was also disappointed to see that my book and app include items I absolutely checked “no” to while filling out my info (either for health, allergy, or taste reasons), so sometimes I feel like this program isn’t as personalized as I was made to believe. All in all, this program has helped me and I do enjoy the convenience of the app, so hopefully they will get the little things fixed so it becomes more of a consistent tool and not one I have to keep closing and restarting to get to work.

App Seriously Needs Work!
When I first launched the app, I thought it was really great. Now that I’ve used it for a few days, I’m deeply annoyed at how poorly it actually works. For my dinner tonight, I can’t accurately log what I ate because the app will not save the changes I made (a meal it suggested as a substitute). For an app that is so accurate in its nutritional calculations that it has you weighing oil instead of measuring it, this is a huge flaw that really defeats the purpose of having the app. I paid $54 for a 3 month sub and I won’t be reviewing. I’ll use the book and MyFitnessPal. ***UPDATE: Contacted support about not being able to log changed meals and was told to uninstall and reinstall the app, then change my meal plan. This completely erased todays logged food and gave me completely new options for meals going forward… this means that I now have to scroll through over a hundred pages in the PDF book to find the recipes I bought groceries for for several recipes. It also means that the meal plan in the app no longer matches the meal plan in the book that’s yet to arrive. What’s the point of using both if they contain different plans? I don’t know, the CS agent didn’t answer that.

The book and the app don’t match.
When I ordered my book, they said I could start with the app right away. Turns out that as soon as you start the app, it matches with the book that you will receive three weeks later. I was so confused by this when I finally just got my book today and opened it and realized that this is what my app started with three weeks ago. I wish I had known because I would’ve waited to download the app until I got my book. Or not paid for the app when I ordered the book. I suppose if all you’re using is the app then it’s pretty cool so far. My favorite feature is that it actually creates a grocery list for you based off of your weeks meal plan. I like the way the exercises are set up so you can do them and it shows the time you have been working still just getting started on it, but I wish I had known that the book was unnecessary if you were using the app. It would’ve saved me about $60. I probably would have just bought a years worth of the app if I had known.

Payment Beware
I went through answering all the questions and decided to do the ebook and the app…well they made it seem like I was agreeing to a 12 month plan at a certain “discounted” price per month and even when I went to PayPal it showed as a subscription agreement. I did not see anywhere on there that said that I was going to be paying nearly $100 right now until I got a PayPal notification with the amount as I was still being asked to spend more money with the company for all these other extras. I sent an email to customer service saying that it seemed like they were tricking customers since it wasn’t clear that they were making you pay everything up front. The response I got was “that’s how much the app is and it shows the full price at the bottom.” Well I went back through the process just so I could see how I could have missed it since I’m very vigilant about how much money I’m spending on things but this time I wasn’t even offered a choice about the app only the hard covered book or the ebook….it just seems very suspicious to me and I wish that I had looked at this before I went through with it. So, buyer beware!

KEEP TRACK OF DATES
My fault for not writing down the date that I started the subscription- sure, but this company sends you not even ONE reminder that a payment is about to be due!!! The second it charged my account, I reached out to cancel and it was thrown in my face that “the terms and conditions state 48 hour notice of cancellation” which would’ve been provided easily, had there been ANY kind of indication that a payment was about to process. Instead of a refund, I got offered a measly $20 back out of $75 (which they try to make sound higher by offering you 25% back) and pocket the rest while this is the ONLY option they give you to cancel your account and subscription. There isn’t even anywhere in the app that keeps track of your subscription or lets you know what day you signed up for it!! So unless you’re super on top of it, don’t recommend if you just intend on trialing it. Be sure to cancel immediately or lose $75. Feedback: make a way for your PAYING customers to keep track of their subscription information and remind them a payment is approaching like every other subscription service out there.

It’s OK
I tried Beyond Body for a few months. It was ok, but I primarily wanted it for healthy recipes which wasn’t that helpful in my case. The format is good, but I expected it to take into account my meal preferences. For example… all of the questions I answered about what foods I liked and which ones weren’t an option didn’t seem to affect the recipes it gave me. It does offer alternative ingredients, and that’s nice and sometimes useful. Unfortunately, sometimes the recipes called for things that I couldn’t eat! There just weren’t enough recipes that worked for me. It also is tough to grocery shop because the list is written as if you can just buy exactly what you need vs in reality you generally have to buy things as they are packaged and work from that. This means you end up having a lot of left over ingredients which can easily go to waste and be expensive if you aren’t careful. I was hoping for healthy eating inspiration, but there just weren’t enough options to justify paying for it.

Not very helpful, there are better apps
I downloaded this app because I liked the idea of a personalized book and a personalized app. I would suggest the free version of MyFitnessPal over this app. It’s food tracking is unimpressive. Like other reviews mentioned, you have to choose one of three options for each meal and you can’t modify them or eat something different. Also, please be aware that when you are going through the steps to purchase the app it looks like fitness is included — it is not. Within minutes after purchasing the app and ebook I realized I made a mistake. I contacted customer service and told them I was unhappy with the app and that I didn’t want the book (that was not yet sent to me) and they said that the best they could do is offer me 50% off. Don’t waste your money. Everything about this screams scam. When you check out there are 5 extra pop ups prompting you to purchase more. And after clicking on the ad they give you 15 minutes to make a purchase or else you lose the “special offer” they created for you.

Not worth it
The meals have potential. I just wish I could substitute ingredients better. One meal will have one type of flour or grain and the meal the next day will have a different type of flour or grain and you can’t match them up for easier/ less expensive shopping because the substitution isn’t listed. So then my tracking isn’t accurate. I also would like to do the same meal (of the few I liked) multiple times in a week, (meal prep is life for a busy soccer mom) but that’s not an option either. When I asked about being able to swap meals (their own recipes) they said it wasn’t an option and to just skip the meal in the app. But again, that means it’s not tracking accurately and that’s really the entire point of the app. I also don’t remember seeing anywhere in the add that the exercises would be an extra cost to the subscription. The free version of my fitness pal tracks meals way better and you can do any substitutions you want. Fit girls 28 day meal plan is also better because they have better alternatives to the meals in my opinion.

Okay
I gave a 3 star because I also am experiencing many of the same issues as others have reported. I just did the refresh/update and still having same issues. Can’t change the meal if I don’t like it, so shopping list isn’t accurate and daily intake isn’t accurate. It just says error or just doesn’t change it at all. Getting menu items I don’t like such as tofu. Updated my menu plan again today and we will see if it’s changed any of these things. Some of the meals are pretty time consuming to prepare even though I said in my questionnaire that I have limited amount of time to meal prep. I’m only a couple weeks into the program, so I’m going to keep going and see if these things get fixed. Other than that I am enjoying the app. The exercise programs are good. The concepts are great, if it can just work properly. I would give a 4/5 star if the app features worked properly and the menu plans were accurate to my preferences or could be changed out.

Disappointed and Deleted
I really liked the workout aspect of this app/plan, however I wish you could include workouts you do on your own to the data (climbing, swimming, hiking, biking, etc.) The water tracker is nice but I would have preferred being able to put in my own amounts instead of being restricted to cups or bottles. I’m not into meal planning in general so I was hoping for an alternative to input your own food intake as well but that wasn’t an option. The sleep tracker ultimately caused me to cancel. I input the wrong time and then when I attempted to adjust it added more time and I was not able to reset from there. I then also looked for reset overall and that was also not available, you can only reset your meal plan and cancel your workout regimen. Overall just expected more for the cost and feel I could find a free or cheaper app that does more and better. The in-your-face-everywhere-all-the-time marketing got me and I’m disappointed. There really should be a trial period/sample option if the brand believes in its product.

Not what I expected
I have been waiting until I got my book in to start anything since I wanted to be able to enjoy the full program instead of trying to understand it from just the app, which doesn’t make a lot of sense. The app looks to be just a basic tracking program. I finally got my book and first thing I noticed was it lists me as “rectangle” body shape instead of “hourglass” as I submitted on the questionnaire. Can’t help but feel that I have wasted money on yet another “personalized” plan that is nothing more than a cookie cutter program. Next are meal plans that contain tofu and mushrooms which are two things I requested none of. So, I find myself doubting the program before I ever start. Not the way to build confidence in a diet program for someone that has tried everything and failed already. Now I will have to wait until I can get in a good headspace before I even give this a go. Waste of subscription time and a big chunk of money.

Disappointing
I really expected more for the price. After the quiz (where I clearly stated I do not eat meat) and gave some info on what I wanted to get out of a workout, I waited EXACTLY 24 hours to the minute for an e-book. The pdf is formatted odd for me, but maybe that is an ebook setting I need to work out. The book says I have a BMI of 6.3 and 6.8 body fat. If that was the case, I would need a coroner not a diet plan. I have no idea if the “personalization” is based on this or if the “personalization” is putting your name on the cover. The app is wild. With all the tech available we can only sync steps with apple health. The meal plans are random and do not match what was in the book. I tried to refresh it and it gave me, a vegetarian, all meat options. Randomly my goal weight was listed as 30 pounds. Why this is possible I cannot fathom. I expected with the exercise related questions in the quiz that exercise would be included with the purchase but NOPE I had to pay an additional $5 for that. I’ve already contacted customer support and got the “we will look into it” email but at day 2 it is so far useless.

Good, not great. Very expensive.
I like this app but there are a lot of cons. I like the food combos I’m given when I choose the meal plan, however my food swaps are very limited…in fact it’s the same 3 choices for dinner over and over again. When I switch to ingredient based plan the food is just different and not as yummy. Also, the swaps are too similar to even be considered a swap(which is just like the book). Luckily, I’m no fool and know how to easily make substitutions. Also, the shopping list for a week’s worth of food has over 100 items. Come on now, let’s get real. There is not enough repetition to be frugal. Finally, the cost of the app is very expensive!!! The money I’m paying for the 3 months I signed up for really should be a yearly rate. I didn’t opt for workouts too because $$$$ With such an automated product, you really should consider lowering the cost. You might attract more business that way. I’d ask for a refund, but they don’t offer any and I didn’t get a free trial option when I signed up, so I’m stuck.

The app feels thoughtless
I’m so disappointed. I thought this could be great, but it appears as though not much thought went into the app. So many issues, but they’re not bugs, the functionality simply isn’t there. First, there’s no way to undo anything. If you accidentally tap “done” on a meal, it’s gone. No going back. If I want to add a workout outside of their workout, I can’t. For example, I went on a Peloton ride—how do I track that? I can’t. The shopping list is such a great feature in theory, but sadly that too doesn’t work. It added “Chickenham” to my list. No clue what that is and I don’t see it anywhere on my meal plan. It also missed several key ingredients completely so now I’m headed to the store again. The portions are terribly off. For example, it had me cook a full cup of rice (the measurement was “dry”) which makes enough for several people. Yet it had me only use 2oz of a zucchini. So now I have rice that could feed a family and a few pieces of zucchini. It just doesn’t add up. So much is wrong. This app has been a waste of time and money.

My Experience
Please don’t waste your money or energy. I tried in 2022 to do this program. Paid for it and was excited to try. I waited on the book to start as it’s easier for me with a hard copy (and I was not in a big hurry to change my habits). After a few weeks I called customer support and they said it should be arriving soon! Never got it. They refunded me the cost of the book but not the subscription as they said “I could have been using it”. Okay my fault. Now today I gave in and decided to try again. I saw they had an ebook so fantastic I can print it and start my new journey. But wait . . . They were able to process the charge but not able to link it to my email as it was used for a prior subscription. I was on live chat and email for more than 2 hours to fix the issue. After the third person could not help me (and yes I did everything they asked) she said sorry for the frustration and she would refund me half of my payment and I could use the app for the next three months as I paid for six. Explaining once again I can not log into the app without getting an error message about my subscription that was cancelled in 2022. Now customer support said “they will make an exception” and refund the entire amount and I should be getting it back within 14 days. So I’m confused, making an exception would indicate that this was my fault? So again don’t waste your money or time, as they are not supportive of your journey as they claim to be.

Don’t bother
I haven’t been able to get my account to work. It’s been a week- customer service gives me the response of we will fix it. I asked for my money back and they say I can only get 50% based on terms and conditions. Which isn’t right if they fail to deliver a product but I have asked for that 3 times and have not received any money yet. Please please please do not pay this company. You will regret it. I see I have a note from the developer. I contacted customer support. Repeatedly. I finally got 50% of my money back. Never could access the app. So I paid for nothing! I lost money trying to get an account. Complete waste of time and nothing but a “try to log in again” and “reset your password” from customer service. Which didn’t work. My favorite reply was after they refunded 50%. They said I could continue to use the app - you know the one I couldn’t access ever. Also I did contact customer service - multiple times- and they were unable to help. The answer was reset your password- which I did and it didn’t work.

They steal money
The ads are very good at hiding that this company charges for everything. So when you pay for the membership, you get charged the membership, and then they include hidden fees in that membership that total up to $60 a month on top of the monthly fees. I canceled my account on their application which no where on the app does it say to contact the company before doing so, and then contacted their live support for my refund of the monthly membership. All within 15 minutes of eachother I had gotten a $33 membership, pressed skip on the extra membership items to see what the app included, saw it was way less than weight watchers, deleted the account because it was faulty and misleading from the ad, and then contacted live support for a refund. I got a Julie Mae L. Who kept telling me that because my account was deleted by me with no notice from them to contact them, they couldn’t refund my money. Even though they had my account in their bank system and my name. I will be going to small claims through them.

Several shortcomings
I only recently started using this app, but I’m already realizing several unfortunate limitations and shortcomings. I decided to give this a try for the recipe ideas. I’ve always struggled to come up with healthy meals for myself. However, there’s not enough flexibility with the meal plans. For example you can’t really take a meal plan approach bc each day doesn’t show you the same food options as you had earlier in the week. It simply isn’t practical to buy ingredients for so many different meals and snacks throughout the week. It’s also hard to really accurately track calories because substitutions are so limited. Also, I keep receiving an error anytime I try to swap out a meal in my meal plan. Last complaint is that there does not appear to be an option to track exercise that is not done within their app. Honestly, you’re better off using my fitness pal.

App Needs Work
Just started working with the plan, but the app is not great IMO. Couple of things: 1) it seems like a day behind sometimes, when I enter it it doesn’t keep sometimes. 2) the daily items, it doesn’t mark you did it unless you achieved you goal, I would think you would mark it completed even if you didn’t hit the mark 3) if you accidentally mark something done in the food you can’t unmark it 4) I am getting a lot of errors when trying to switch out ingredients for other options, says error try again later. 5) like other review you cannot add items not on the plan, so if you eat out or eat/drink additional items you cannot track it, seems pointless to track if you can’t put everything, it’s assuming someone is cooking everything and not adding anything. 6) weight is whole numbers and is not synced to anything 7) only thing is steps is synced to watch otherwise app is not linked with any other apps. 8) water is at a weird increment rather than whole numbers for a glass (8oz) so when you add a glass it is over 8 oz. If I have a book and an ebook not sure the app is going to be worth subscribing to if the above isn’t fixed other than having a fingertips and being able to look for alternatives. Looking forward to moving through the plan more. Thanks!

Disappointed
So I like the book I received. The app, however, is disappointing. First, I will say, shame on me for not really taking a closer look before paying for the six-month subscription…twice. I have had a rough couple of years so trying desperately to get back on track. Not really the time to impulse buy. I reached out to tech support twice. The first time was because I specifically outlined food allergies/intolerances, and the app included them in the meal plan. They said the book would include the allergies. The app would give additional options that might not exclude those foods. About a week later, I reached out about changing the email address on my account because I lost access to my email. Bad news…you can’t. But they can cancel the subscription. I asked them to do that because I hadn’t yet done anything in the app while waiting for the physical book. Then I created a new account with the new email address and signed up for the new six-month subscription. But guess what? That doesn’t mean I get my money back. It means I can use the original subscription through its expiration date. So now I have two paid subscriptions running concurrently. Finally, now I actually AM trying to use the app and I cannot figure out how to customize anything. I can’t see a way to substitute ingredients or foods. It’s basically this is your meal plan, take it or leave it. Buyer beware. Learn from my expensive lesson.

Horrible
I’ve tried a LOT of diets and diet apps. This is by far the worst “personalized” meal plan I have ever seen. The ingredients they recommend, as well as the “substitutions”, are bland and tasteless. The substitutions are basically different versions of the original. Not to mention, the quiz was not substantive at all. There are so many additional foods that I avoid that they don’t even ask about on the quiz. I do not eat buckwheat! Yet, it’s recommended in a lot of meals, but I never had the option in the quiz to leave it out. Also, this is the first diet plan that I’ve ever seen them recommend processed nasty American cheese. Oh sorry, nonfat nasty processed American cheese. Not sure what that’s about, but I’m not doing it. The ebook. Ah, the ebook. Never could get it to download. So that’s worthless. Pretty marketing does not a valuable product make. Bottom line, I regret signing up for the 6 month plan (which, by the way, totally deceptive marketing as you pay for the full 6 months up front, not monthly). I want a refund.

Add links for ingredients and option to scale up
I’ve used a few other meal plans apps and done a lot of prepping in my life. My only complaints features that I feel are missing: 1)no link back from shopping list to that meal to see if it’s an item you can sub or really need or could pick up later in week 2)ability to scale up if cooking a meal for extra family 3) ability to repeat meals to simplify prep. 4) work out plan has no option for other workouts. I do jui jitsu and mma 1-4xs per week and can’t add those as workouts. 5) I prefer to lean more toward paleo as I bloat even with gluten free and brown rice. Maybe throw that in as an option with grain free suggestions/ subs. Overall, the meals are good and easy to make.

Has Potential but wouldn’t recommend
I think this app has a lot of potential but after a week of using it, I stopped for a few reasons. I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone spend money on this app - there are a lot of better options out there. - App gives an error message when I try to change meals (have been back and forth with support for almost 2 weeks and no resolution) - Meal plan doesn’t allow you to add any meals that aren’t on the plan (i.e. if I ate out one day or switched a meal up I can’t log any of the nutrition info - most other health apps have an option for this) - Water Log stops tracking after their recommended amount is reached (recommend 60oz a day but I am drinking closer to 100oz) - Workout tracker only tracks workout that are done through their app (i.e. if I want to do a swimming or cycling workout it doesn’t track in the app so it should 0 minutes worked out for the day) - Meal plan left me with a TON of food waste - a lot of ingredients are only used in one meal all week so I ended up throwing out a lot of food (i.e. 1/2 cup spinach all week but the only option at the store is 4 times that amount) - Shopping list has all ingredients in ounces so it is hard to know how much you actually need - I found myself in the store googling how many ounces is equivalent to one apple, etc.

It is so not worth it
I bought this program, all in for $100 bucks. I followed the app and ate all of the meals they listed, did the exercises and I gained weight. I sent several emails asking for help on many issues. The first issue was there is a “change” option on meals, and a “swap” option on ingredients. Whenever I would use those tools, it would wipe out the day. Therefore I was stuck having the meals they gave me, like lentils for breakfast and salmon for breakfast. I wanted it to work, but the LACK of customer service is where I draw the line. Zero response to any of my questions, zero. The only redeeming quality of my entire experience was the in app exercise routines. However that is not worth $100. Not even close. You will be better off using your common sense on food, or the Lose it app. And any exercise app or Nike on Netflix. It is a scam in my experience. Preying on woman that struggle with their weight. Smh.

Not realistic…
If you sign up for this plan make sure that you are fully aware that you are required to follow their plan to a T. There is not any freedom for real life and you can not add other meals to the app. The meals they include are incredibly bland and not able to be doctored up. I wish there was a feature to add in additional ingredients to make your own meals. Or how different meals will alter your progress in the plan. Also be ready to experience COUNTLESS tech issues. I couldn't access the app without issues for the 5 days I had it. Either meals were missing or exercise pages wouldn’t load. When I went to request support from their support page it wouldn't send or load. I would just get an error page. This happened 5 times! They definitely get you with it being a “personalized plan” but it’s far from personalized. It’s just a list of foods put together to make a random meal. Plus’s they use more ingredient that they don’t ask about in the survey that are the base to their meal plans. I requested a refund but regardless I have deleted the app and don’t anticipate reopening it ever. Also to add I have never gotten the PDF for my book. Because when I downloaded it the pages are all empty. Hope you have better luck than I did.

It’s OK
The app needs work and is not worth the cost. It would be nice to have a shopping list that is more condensed and simple and see more cross utilization with the ingredients. Having a way to meal plan and take that into consideration would be a huge improvement. even to be able to add foods that you have and see recipes that include those items and fit the caloric and protein requirements. (There is an app for that) It does not work for a family as it doesn’t make sense to make multiple meals for everyone and there are allergies and other things to consider. Also, there is no way to track what you actually eat if you go out to a restaurant or if can’t afford all the variations in ingredients. I will say that the workout program is nice and I do enjoy how everything is laid out.

Good in theory
I wanted to write this review with the hopes that the developers see this and make some changes. 1. I CANNOT get the app to swap recipes. I get the secondary prompt that’s says do you want to make the change and after clicking yes, nothing happens. And IF it does actually work, my whole menu plan goes out the window. 2. Menu plans - I’ve tried to retake the food quiz multiple times stating I don’t eat fish and tofu but it never corrects it off my plan. 3. Simplified units of measure would be better than grams for on the go meals and can we please change chicken ham to Canadian Bacon as it’s called in stores here in America. 4. Yes, I realize I’m being nit picky but I’m paying for a service and I’d really like for it work so I can succeed as the program as a whole claims it’s also wants for me.

Good concept, bad execution
I liked the idea of the app and I personally find it way more convenient to use the program on my phone over a book, however, not many of the features work correctly. - If I want to change a meal, whenever I choose a new meal it says I have not selected a meal plan and I lose all meals - When I do one of the workouts in the app (that you have to pay extra for), my app says I didn’t do it and gives me 0 exercise minutes. It would also be great if it would take exercise minutes from fitness trackers into account. If I don’t do one of the BB workouts and did something different, it just says I didn’t workout. - Did not take my food preferences into account and added food I specifically selected not to include into my meal plan - I wish it would try and align meals so you could use multiple ingredients for more than one meal - The sleep feature you can’t change what you put in, instead it adds them together. I accidentally typed in 8 hours instead of 6 hours and it said I slept 14 hours Overall, given that I paid for this app I am disappointed with how much doesn’t work… there is a lot that can be improved upon!

LOVE THIS APP
I absolutely LOVE using this app!! The meals are super easy to put together. Most meals require very little cooking up until dinner when I have the most time to put into making a meal. Even then the most time it would take me to make the meal is around 30 minutes! I really only use the app for meal prep and to track my water intake. I use my Apple Watch to keep track of my steps and workouts. This app is AMAZING!! It’s not expensive, and you can customize your meals as needed. I’m plant based so with a few minor adjustments to the vegetarian option I’m able to have delicious meals and snacks that won’t cost an arm and a leg with buying ingredients as well!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Pretty good
So I like this tool. Makes it easy to see what follow and no guess work for tracking progress. The program itself (not the app) I wish there was more information for the recipes. Some things just don’t make sense. Like some of the “stews” turn into more of a casserole then a stew. Wish it tracked my steps again. Have everything on but still says it can’t track. Can the developers or who re-think the measurements ok the recipes to make sure they work. Sometimes, the baking foods don’t work as intended which can be a waste of money and frustrating for someone already frustrated about their weight. Also, why is there SO much tofu???

So easy to follow and delicious meals.
This meal plan is very convenient and easy to stick to. My favorite thing is that you get to switch out meals to cater to your mood/tase, and even allows you to substitute ingredients without interfering with your calorie intake. The meals are quite filling and taste delicious. I’m trying new food that I would never consider, and they are so yummy! It also offers a shopping list so you know what you need to buy in order to make sure you have all that you need to meal prep for that week. Between the meals and the workouts offered, I am already seeing a difference, and more importantly feel the difference in my body.

Great, if you like rigid plans
I already am so unbelievably disappointed that I paid for this. It’s been proven time and time again that rigid plans are not sustainable for most people. This does not allow you to enter your own meals and doesn’t let you change the ingredients in the ones provided. So if you don’t want that or one of the two alternatives you can’t log the meal. Second, in the work out section you have 2 choices (or do you?). The first one is for your personalized plan quiz. The other is “Explore”. When you click “Explore” what do you get? Just the button for the personalized plan quiz and you can’t even add more than one plan. And if you delete it you lose whatever data you had to that point. And what is up with the plan/exercise names? I can’t tell whether that’s the plan I want with workouts names: New York, Las Vegas and New Orleans. This is just bad.

Not very customizable
I haven’t gotten my book yet, but so far the app is very general. You can’t customize it, like if you substitute a food for something different. They also put some really weird foods on here that I would never eat and unfortunately you can’t say not to do that food anymore, you just have to sub the food out for some thing you would eat but then you can’t correct the food in the app to where your macros add up still. Very frustrating. also the workouts are way too easy! there’s no workouts on here that involve any type of hand weights even, that I have found yet. And I’m used to lifting. so far I’ve been pretty bummed with the app it has not been useful at all I hope the book is better, but I’m not counting on it because once they finish your book you can’t change it….

No Options
This app is awful. The layout is pretty but the functionality is not. It does not let you deviate from the plan. Say you don’t want quinoa and you just want a plain chicken breast and veggie, nope, can’t enter that information. Say you break and eat an entire medium pizza, nope can’t hold yourself accountable. You had a glass of wine with dinner? Can’t add that either. This is not a good tracking app like it claims to be. I added the app as part of my subscription and it is sorely lacking. Let’s face it, we all have days where we have meals or snacks that aren’t on the plan, this expects you to never stray from the like 5 recipes they offer and contacting customer support? Impossible, if just takes you to their FAQ page. I really hope the book is better than the app because if not, I wasted my money.

If I could give 0 stars, I would
If you enjoy eating the same foods over and over that have no flavor, workouts that don’t even break a sweat, and a customer service that’s trash, then this is the app for you. Their refund policy is RIDICULOUS. Make sure you read that before you order anything. They only give you 14 days, and you have to take pictures for proof and everything. How in the WORLD is anyone going to know if a weight loss program is working after only 14 days? Your book won’t even be to you by 14 days most likely. The app only offers the same few recipes over and over and over again. I’ve found better recipes online on my own. I’ve tried posting in their Facebook group twice about the recipes, and my post has been declined both times. I am furious, and I’m out $130. I will never EVER recommend this app/program to anyone.

App won’t work 2 days in…
Update: I was emailed to reset my password- it’s been reset several times and the iPhone app still will not allow me to login. I’ve also deleted the app & reset password. Nothing works & the website does t provide options to effectively communicate or get help. The first day & 1/2 the all was pretty great. Had a menu that I paid extra for, had the workout that I paid extra for, oh…and I paid extra for access to things through the app…so basically everything I’ve paid for, I don’t have access to use. I have the digital beyond book & that’s it. There’s NO easy way to contact customer service. This is after I had problems checking out. So far, I’m a week into deleting and redownloading the app & trying to log in, change passwords…it’s ridiculous at this point and I’d prefer to have my money back.

Useful app but wish there were a few changes
Wish I could connect my Fitbit to the step counter (if there is a way, the app doesn’t tell you about it) Wish I could pre plan my meals instead of the changing my meal choice the day of and that the shopping list updates to your pre chosen meal plans. I like to meal prep for the week and 1, its too expensive doing different meals everyday and 2, knowing what I am going to make ahead of time makes it easier to figure out what items are needed at the store. This feature needs to be more realistic. Otherwise, this app is useful. (Definitely a bit expensive, though) Wish it were more economically feasible because it currently isn’t inclusive to people with tight budgets.

Some features could be better
A couple of things I noticed right away when I started using the app while waiting for my book in the mail. 1) the shopping list is not at all helpful. I thought it would combine all of my ingredients for the week and give me one full list. It just lists out every single ingredient separately and you still would have to go in and total it all up. 2) the serving amounts are not accurate to calories if I’m actually tracking these items. For example, it said 1TBSP of Chia Seeds was 0.9ounces. When I actually weighted it, it was 0.4ounces. I prefer to go by scale weight to be more accurate but I cannot trust the weight listed for the ingredients. 4) the exercises in the app do not go through all rounds of the exercises steps so you either miss 2 rounds or you have to go back in, cancel the workout, start a new one, skip the warm up and do the exercises again. Twice! If I am just following the book exercises I’m getting much more exercise in. 3) I wish the ingredients were more customizable to a clean eating diet. For example, I do not eat seed oils due to the inflammatory ingredients. And some of the meals and snacks are lacking protein.

Some glitches in the app
It is very hard for me to switch meals and have it show up as the meal. I have tried to delete the app and reinstall I have updated my phone updates. Nothing seems to work to fix changing meals it won’t do it. Also to review old meals so that I can use some of the snacks or meals over again would be nice. Also, a suggestion to have a space to provide a before, during and after photos so that. Don’t have to keep them in my photo gallery on my phone. because I don’t want anybody else to see them. Also to just reuse even breads or cheeses in different meals in one week, I was told to use four different breads and three different kinds of cheeses to make different meals for one week. That gets to be very expensive. Otherwise, I love the food and I’m surprised that I would like some of the food I tried, so I enjoy the app. I just think the app needs to be a little bit more user-friendly. Can’t wait for the book so I can look back at meal options.

Terrible App
I can’t believe how bad this app is. There’s no way to adjust weight. For some reason, it logged my weight at over 500 lbs!!! So I entered my correct weight and now it says I’ve lost hundreds and hundreds of pounds. The shopping list has limited functionality. The list won’t update if you change a meal after it’s created. Substitutions aren’t great. The whole concept is to pick between 10-15 food items and mix them up. Who eats chicken for breakfast? My list of ingredients is even lower because I’m gluten free and don’t eat beef or pork. The concept is good, but the execution is terrible. Update: DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Without warning, this app auto renews and charged $75!!! I immediately requested a refund (within 10 minutes) and they said NO!!!! They offered a 25% discount. I don’t use this terrible broken app and now they refuse to refund the renewal.

Not very personalized
The amounts of listed ingredients might be personalized, but the food are not. I selected I do not like green beans. The very first days my snack was…green beans. Why ask me what I don’t like if you ignore that information? Very light on protein. Expect to eat the bare minimum suggested amount per day. Not very good for those of us who exercise hard daily, I found listed nutrition to be off. One example: corn tortillas with cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and lettuce and tomato assembled per the recipe amounts are 10g actual protein; however, the app stated they had 20g in the nutrition section. If you like all the foods, have no food allergies, enjoy eating lots of tiny meals that are different nearly every meal every day, do not like to meal prep, and dislike protein, this is your app.
