The app functions well enough but it doesn’t allow you to do much. You can’t pay your premium through the app, and it’s difficult or impossible to change your personal info. (e.g. change your phone number). You can look up some claim info. but that’s about it.
This app opens different information each time I open it. Sometimes I will see claims, sometimes they can’t load. Sometimes I’ll see how much we are to meeting deductible and most of the time not.
Worked in 2023 but now apparently the app does not show claims information. Makes the app almost worthless. Called bc a couple of times and still nothing. I’m told to get the information from a pc and its a real pain when the whole family has to use the same computer to look it up
Will not open still. That’s been going on for months. The only way to look at claims, etc., is to go to their main site online. It can’t be that difficult to figure this out!
All family member claims not showing in one place. Claims miss match between website and app. Called help center number of times and always saying app has known issue and fixing.
After three months, the app continues to say that my group doesn’t have access to the app. I signed up for Medicare Part B through BC of ID. No use whatsoever.
I find this app very useful and much easier to use than the older version of the app. I’m a mobile-first person, so I much prefer to use an app over logging into my account on my laptop. One improvement I would like to see, which has been mentioned in a previous review, is for me to be able to add my member ID card to my Apple Wallet.
Downloaded this app because the website was so frustrating to navigate…big mistake. First of all, it’s a different password and login from your main account. Second, the app continually crashes and when it DOES manage to load, none of your information is actually in there. Can’t check claims, can’t find a medical provider…the only thing that loaded was the glossary 🙄 Don’t bother downloading this.
Be sure your card is activated. You must do this over the phone and not in the app. The app will not work otherwise. You can log in, but none of the service will work. All in all, not a terrible app experience after I got it working properly.
App use to work well, but now the search just sits on loading for long periods of time. I was looking for urgent care and gave up after 20 minutes. When you aren’t feeling well and a simple issue with loading the search field is the problem you don’t have patience. I want results I can count on when it matters. This app isn’t it.
First the app said the info like my bday was wrong. It’s not pretty sure I know my bday. Then it said I was wrong about having others on my insurance. This was just while I was in the process of trying to set up the app. Got past those unnecessary hurdles. The the app say my login info is incorrect. Mmm matches perfectly because I use a keychain. App is a brick and doesn’t work. Just like the website.
It will occasionally pull up all my info the first time I open it. Other than that I have to retry several times. It is quite slow and often my session will time out before the information loads.
Setup my account, was able to access my ID card. Then came the time to use it, I was logged out and then could login to either the app or the website. Had to have a photo from home sent just to fill a prescription. Do not trust this to replace your ID card. In fact they should remove until there is a way to export to your wallet.
I have never been able to login to this app. Even though the login screen says my mobile login is the same as my web portal login it does not work! Weird because I can login to the web portal, huh? I tried to get help from the tech team once and they never got back to me…?
There is no support page, the app works less than half the time and is the slowest at retrieving data. Also if you’re trying to view the claims page it will just cycle and not populate. For a company that probably makes billions in healthcare costs, your technology is garbage.
We’re pretty new members. Tried to get setup in the old app, but kept getting errors (it’s possible our group wasn’t eligible). Was told by reps that everyone would be eligible with the new app by Oct. 1. But this app completely doesn’t work. Get the opening screen..holds there for 10 - 15 seconds and then quits. So it’s completely useless.
This is frustrating beyond measure. Cannot log in because it says the group hasn’t had access, which is not accurate. Am able to log in successfully on desktop version. Process on mobile does not work for subscriber ID.
I registered on the app and logged in everything was great then later went to log on and look at things and couldn’t get in I called bci and they said I need to register online so I did and I can get in on the web site but not the app …. Please fix this bug!!!
Like many other reviewers I’m not even able to log in. It gives you the option to register, goes to the next screen and then sits there and eventually times out
Sometimes the app is a little flakey so I don’t like relying on it for the insurance card. Please add the ability to add the insurance card to Apple Wallet.
Will not get pass the sign up part on the app. It will either time out or just sit there and do nothing. You need an update on this. I use an iPhone if that helps. Thank you.
Web portal credentials work. Same credentials fail on iOS and Android apps, same error of "wrong email address." Somewhere, your user database isn't visible to the app front end like it is the web portal. Or, if somehow the account doesn't have 'mobile app' privileges, your error messages are plain wrong and need to say something verbose about it that regular users can understand.
