After more than a year just trying to get the app to open, I’m in! It is working okay and the interface is easy to navigate. I do find it VERY strange that it doesn’t work (stream live) when I’m only two hours away from home. I don’t really need it that much when I'm in the same room as my TV! 😉
Dont download. It keeps saying connect to the same WiFi as your box, but I was already on it. I would give it a one but the first time I used this it actually worked. I’m expecting changes. Or I’ll bring my rating back down.
About the only thing I can do with this app is use the remote when my children lose the real one. Of course every time you leave that screen to do something else on your phone and then come back to fast forward, you have to reconnect. I have tried for 3 days now to watch one of my shows on my phone. It keeps ‘searching for streaming device’. You guys really need to work on fixing this app! Don’t even get me started on the iPad version! Do yourself a favor and don’t even download it!
I can never find our actual remotes so I use the app everyday to change the channel for my kids. I also record and watch my shows on my phone so the children can have the TV. I never have any major problems. Every once in a blue moon I have to sign back in but that’s not even very often.
Horrible waste of time and effort. I’ve tried to get this to work on my iPad, and iPhone. Most of the time says it can’t connect, once in a while it will connect but then in less then five minutes locks up then it won’t reconnect. I’ve called blue ridge several times and the girl I spoke to says it works fine at her house so I guess that’s the extent of customer service. Stupidly gave this another shot several months after my first review.....still crap. Thanks blue ridge you never dissapoint.
Blue ridge is too worried about money that they don’t realize all the internet apps have family sharing now. Why would I use the app to watch movies in my house when I have a tv? Providers have apps now so that subscribers can access their services on the go, not just at home. Too behind the times. I cancelled cable and use internet providers that I can actually access the content through.
For some reason, the past few days it will not let me log in, I've tried uninstalling this app, re-downloading, restarting my iPad, to turning off my iPad for 15 minutes, and lastly, reset my wifi router..... What gives??!!?!? (6-7-16)
Didn’t think anything could get worse then Blue Ridge services until I tried using this app. Called them and they told me to contact Apple support... They refused to admit it was a problem on their end. I got no where with their help. If you are able to, I highly recommend avoiding blue ridge and all their services all together.
The older version worked best, this update ruined it. It's doesn't connect and if it does, it losses it connection for ever show. It makes you replete the process of setup over and over again. Sep 18,2017 The updates just don't work. Please roll back at least 2 prior version when it was stable
I always have a problem logging on to watch something from my phone. Have reinstalled the app too many times to count. It will work temporarily and then will have troubles the next time you try to use it. Not worth your time to download.
If I could give this 0 stars, I would. It never connects properly, and on the off chance it does, it starts buffering halfway through and kicks you out. Can't even use it outside of your home, which means the "GO" is misleading. Terrible app, considering what I pay for my cable service. Thank goodness for Netflix.
What even is the point of this ap? You can't watch shows away from home, only at home. So if you were home, wouldn't you just watch the show on your TV...? Also it doesn't have a google chrome cast option either. Deleting.
This isn't a very good app at all. When I'm able to login, which isn't tonight, the format and content aren't that great. But I have no choice. This is the only cable/Internet provider in the little section of Pennsylvania where I live. And they know it. Thus, the mediocre app. UPDATE: the app doesn’t work at all. YAY ....
I have to enter my password often. It has a box you can click to remember, but it does not. Now it will not stream. It says there is no device, finds it, says it's ready to go, then says cannot stream, try later or download.
It's nice that Blue Ridge is trying to get up to date with technology available to it's customers, but this app does not work. Every time I try signing in it gives a "communication error" and asks to retry the connection. Wish it would work.
Does anyone at tech support or developer ever read these reviews? Your app is awful, never opens, your last update was over 4 months ago. Seriously? Your service isn’t cheap. A working app would be nice. It Never opens.
This is the worst app I’ve ever used. Never works, keeps saying try again, utterly useless! For the $ we pay for this service, you would think we’d have the industry’s gold standard. BRC is lucky there is no competition.
I would give this app a 0 also. Why do I need an app to watch TV at home. That’s why I have a TV. This app does not let you view your content live out of the house even when you set it up to do so. Very disappointed with this app!!!
I used to use this app all the time. Haven’t been able to get it to load in over a year! Same experience as other reviewers, call and am told it works at their house. Well good for you!!!
Well Blue Ridge, I see that since the poor reviews from October of last year you’ve done nothing to make the app actually work. Just awful. This operation must be run out of someone’s basement.
I can’t even give this a 1 rating. Downloaded it, waited 10 minutes and it still didn’t let me sign up. Waste of time just like all their other services.
This app crashes when not on WiFi, even though it says you can download and watch remotely. BRC hasn’t addressed it in TWO years of awful reviews. Horrible service
This used to work on my iPad and iPhone, but not any more. I tried deleting and re-downloading the app, and turned off & on the cable box, modem, and wifi router.
Won’t launch, just spins. And spins. And spins. Tried on both iPhone XS and on iPad Mini. Switching to Comcast now that’s it’s finally an option in my area. Good luck BlueRidge...
This app is a perfect match for Blue Ridge’s cable and internet service: utterly horrible. If they had an ounce of shame they would fall on their sword and sell out to Comcast.
My phone OS haa been updated twice since then. I have lost streaming ability. I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times, I have run diagnostics on TIVO, rebooted TIVO, and rebooted our routers. Still no use. 😡
The ease of navigating TIVO IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT- BLUE ridge needs to follow ATT OR SPECTRUM, FAR AND ABOVE BETTER THAN BR- suggest BR get better software ASAP. The frustration LEVEL IS OVER THE TOP. FEEL SORRY FOR THE FOOD CALL CENTER PEOPLE WHO ALONG WITH THE CUSTOMERS SPEND INORDINATE AMOUNT OF TIME SOLVING THESE TY,PES OF NAVIGATION PROBLEMS.
