Too many steps to do a simple task
I wish the developers can improve this app so we could make most changes in the Home screen without having to navigate multiple screens and make multiple taps just to make a simple change. Like changing the balance, mute, focus or selecting a different mode, all could be to toggled on the same screen. Also, creating a new mode or overwriting a mode takes too many steps. I got the new SoundControl devices and having to go to multiple screens and clicks is quite annoying. This could be a simple change with lots of benefits to the users. Also, adding separate treble/bass for each device could be very useful to many of us, even better adding a full EQ for each device. Not sure without these changes. Let us know the plans. Without these changes I may return the product after the 90-day trial period. Please Bose, try to make these changes soon, ok? 😜🙏

Disappointing
I was very excited for these hearing aids, I’ve always thought Bose was top of the line for sound quality. I already had Hearglow hearing aids but there is quite a lot of feedback with them so when I saw that Bose made hearing aids I thought they would be a much better quality. They were almost double the cost but I can’t hear nearly as well with them. The volume doesn’t go very high and although it’s better than wearing no aid at all I still have a lot of difficulty hearing with these in. I bought them quite a while ago but because the Hearglow worked so much better for me I didn’t use them regularly until just a couple of days ago when there was an accident with the others and I had no choice. The Bose hearing aids do have more features, but they’re features that don’t really make a difference to me as far as being able to hear better. Adjusting the treble doesn’t seem to help and although being able to mute them is kind of cool- I’ve never needed to mute them. I’m not writing this review to be a jerk, I genuinely hope the feedback will help make some good improvements if new models are designed. I am disappointed with this purchase and feel like the only thing a higher price tag got me was a name brand. There’s definitely room for improvement and I hope a lot of improvements are made.

Nice to hear again!
I’ve had my Bose hearphones for about a month and really am quite satisfied. So many instances where I feel like I’m part of life again, like sitting in the back seat and being involved in conversations, enjoying TV at a normal volume and being able to hear when taking a call to list a few. I like how I can adjust the settings to my personal needs depending on my environment. My only issue was when I went from an iPhone 7 to the 10 Xr and the new phone would not recognize the app. Customer support helped me to perform a system update and once I deleted the app and reinstalled, I was back up and running. (Hold time was inordinately long, but the support was great.) My plan is to use the hearphones at least until 2020 when hearing aid sales will be deregulated. At that time I am betting (hoping) Bose will have a traditional hearing aid developed at a fraction of the $5000 cost of the best ones today!

Pretty good but App needs work
I have tinnitus and am a hearing aid user. These headphones are better than the hearing aids by far. The App can be a little finicky at times. Sometimes, even though it’s been connected several times, it asks you to pair it. Then you have to delete it from your phone and start over. Then, randomly, you may have to do that again the next time you connect. Connecting to a new MacBook Pro was a real hassle. Took like 7 or 8 attempts after clearing Bluetooth device list in headset. I’m still learning but I wish there was a way to turn down world volume but turn up a targeted volume, like conversation or TV. Well worth the investment so far. TV mode is awesome

Doesn’t reliably connect
This app has problems connecting through Bluetooth to the ear phones. I don’t understand why it is so difficult. I can be playing music through the earphones and then try to connect the Bose hear app and it won’t connect. Now, why is that? If the music app can connect, then why can’t the Bose hear app connect? Can’t the Bose Hear app just look at what the music app is doing and then use that channel? It is annoying when I am listening to music through the earphones from the iPhone and then the Bose hear app tells me to make sure that the earphones are turned on. Also, sometimes it just won’t connect at all. The music app can’t find the earphones and neither can the Bose Hear app. So I tell the iPhone to forget the Bose Hear app and then try to pair. Often, that does not work either. And so what I have to do is delete the Bose Hear app and then reinstall it. So far, that has always worked. But, it is an annoying five minute delay to whatever I am doing. I have to do this about once every month or two.

SoundControl Hearing Aid Disappointment
I’ve owned Bose Hearphones since they came out, and I bought them for my son, also. I’ve recommended them to my friends and several have bought them. The work amazingly well, especially for the price. The ability to narrow the audio field in a noisy environment makes a big difference. So, I was excited when Bose received FDA approval for OTC hearing aids. Finally, we are going to get useful features, like compression and a graphic equalizer. But, the debut has been delayed for over a year. Now, the SoundControl aids are in limited availability. What a disappointment!! They are just hearing amplifiers, of the kind you can buy for $150 each. Or less. They don’t stream music or phone calls. They don’t have the narrowest focus setting of the HearPhones, only front and “everywhere”. They apparently don’t have compression. They don’t claim echo cancellation or multiple programs for different acoustic situations. (The specs are very brief.) Not only that, but Bose discontinued the HearPhones a year ago. So, in my opinion, Bose is just ripping off the old people again, like everyone else. Apparently the hearing aid cartel made a deal. Again. I really wish Apple would enter this market. They have all the necessary technology. It’s a big opportunity, if only someone had the determination to break the cartel. Fat chance, it seems.

Better than my hearing aid
The Bose Hearphones are by far the best hearing device that I have ever used. The range and sound pattern, particularly in public areas, is so much easier to manipulate than my very expensive hearing aids. What’s more, they are also the best sounding music earbuds that I have ever used. Have you ever tried listening to streaming music from an iPhone using hearing aid software? Don’t, the quality is horrible. The only advantage that most expensive hearing aids have over the Hearphones is their size. Hearphones look just like QuietControl 30s in your ears, but so what?? All my friends already know I have a hearing problem, so who am I kidding? Why spend 1,000’s of dollars to wear “invisible” hearing aids, which sound horrible when you try to play music or take a phone call, and aren’t really fooling anybody anyway?

Excellent!
For me, Hearphones are great! I have almost no hearing in my left ear and reduced hearing in my right. I drive people crazy asking them to repeat themselves. I have to play the TV too loud for everyone. In restaurants and other public settings, I can't hear most conversations. With Hearphones all these issues go away. Using the iPhone Hearphones app, I can tune the Hearphones to the environment I am in. A surprise feature for me was the ability of the Hearphones to function as high quality headphones for my iPhone. When I get a call on my iPhone and I am wearing my Hearphones, the call rings in the Hearphones. When I play music on my iPhone the music plays through the Hearphones.

They Work (Could Be Better)
The best thing is they work. I can hear conversations well and don’t have to have people repeat themselves over and over. They are a little tinny, however, that and when I talk, my voice is amplified, which makes me think I’m loud. The headphones are Bose quality, so for music or talking of the phone, they are very nice. But in conversation, the sound quality is harsh. High pitched noises are sharp and could be toned down. There is a tone control, but when I move the tone to add more bass, it becomes hard to hear people with high voices. Overall I like them, but at the same time, there is a lot of room for improvement. - As a follow up, I wasn’t able to keep them. Conversations were very difficult and I could not get over the way I sounded. My voice was loud and I was unable to get over that. Also, I found myself getting dizzy when I was using them, like my balance was off. After two days I took them back. I wanted them to work for me, but never was able to adjust to them.

Bose Hear Phones
Ok- saw the special on CBS Sunday Morning and knew I needed this for our 85 year old mom who sets the sound bar on the TV to stun. It is amazing. I wore it for the first night to get use to the controls so I could set it up for her because I knew she would deny she needed it. What I found out, I wanted one. I listened to music and found that I could hear EVERY LYRIC. Amazing. So I took it w me to the Keith Urban concert and was elated w my great sound and poor seats. Believe me, the Staples Center is not know for the sound quality. It is no Hollywood Bowl. So my mom is using them and the family is no longer hostage to the TV but I may have to get my own!!!

app with hearphones takes time to calibrate
Patience pays off. I’m into my second week and the first days were a challenge. It’s worth it! Tech support helped, as did being willing to do some extended trial and error work. I wanted to be in control. And I’m getting there. Bose IS an enabler! And that’s a good thing. If you want out of the box. It probably doesn’t exist, since everyone’s needs and expectations are different. Working with the quite flexible and responsive interface I’m hearing better than I have in some time. And better than I could reasonably expect from this relatively economical solution. Trust Bose? Now, I do. Thank’s Bose!

Love I can hear
I can hear again my daughter doesn’t have to yell for me to hear her is give 5 stars the only reason and I truly mean it I wish there was an Apple Watch app. All I want the app to do is change my preset settings I already have saved in my iPhone app so I don’t need to pull my iPhone out every time I need to change a pre-saved setting. I’d like to get out of my car and go from driving Mode to tv , movie theater, live theater ext.. all without have to pull out my iPhone

Updatee for iPhone XS Max
You need to update the app to fit the new iPhone XS max phone. It does not integrate seamlessly as it did with previous versions of the iPhone. The app is outstanding it works extremely well to improve my hearing and I can’t enjoy the music. Unfortunately it is frustrating to try to pair the app to the new iPhone XS Max iphone. would highly recommend this application and this headset for anyone who has minor hearing loss. I have no trouble with wearing it in public especially if I explain upfront that it helps my hearing. I’ve had no negative reaction to me wearing the headset in public.

Hearingphones by Bose
Having been using this product for just 2 days I have noticed that I can use them for more situations than I originally had hoped for. They behave very similar to a pair of trial hearing aids I tried a couple of years ago (they were more than 10X the price). This Bose product has more capabilities. I can listen to music or podcasts or stream whatever while still hearing what’s around me to whatever extent I choose to tune it out with precise control. Easy decision to buy. Return policy is very friendly. It’s a no brainer. I already know I’m keeping them.

Bose Hearphones
I have had them for just over a week and love them. Using the medium ear pads they are so comfortable I forget they are in my ears. Sound quality is great, and has really improve my ability to hear conversations that I normally would not even know were happing around me. I can keep the TV at a really low level and still hear everything fine, I have even turned off close captioning and finally have a full view of my programs now. Recommend not going above a 50 volume wise as at that point any sudden loud sounds are very loud.

I can hear but one won’t stay in my ear
After everyone nagging me to get hearing aids I decided to try Bose because I wanted to see what a mainstream electronics company would produce. I can definitely hear and that’s amazing but the earpiece continually pops out of my ear canal. I asked for a longer wire and that seemed to help but lately not so much. My left ear is a number 2 wire and number 2 rubber thing. My right ear is a number 3 wire and number 3 rubber thing. Large. I would appreciate any advice. I do where glasses so there’s some adjustment there.

Love/Hate relationship
They defiantly work for hearing enhancement, I just can’t seem to get over constantly trying to adjust them for differing conditions. The App is slow to respond to hook up and sometimes won’t , yet my phone says they are connected, frustrating when your having trouble hearing and can’t immediately adjust the controls. Never like something in my ears but these are tolerable and getting better. Battery life could be a little longer, won’t last all day. I am going to call support to see if they can help me fine tune these things. Not very wearable on a boat as wind noise is an issue. I’m 50/50 right now about keeping them.

Hearphones
These are fantastic I lost a hearing aid and picked these up until they get here and fitted. The amplified voice and the controls that allow you to hear in your comfort zone is better than my aids. I paid over 5thousand for my aids I am considered to have moderate hearing loss. These are just what I needed. There are some design challenges but nothing compared to not being able to hear clearly and crisply. I’d recommend these to all. If they come out with an improved version I’ll be the first to grab a set. K. C. San Diego Ca.

Buy this now !
It the best way to spend that amount of money, i use it to decrease the noise of newyork subway, and useless surrounding noises in order to enjoy more calmness, the sound is good and bass is deep, but this is not everything, the technology in it is highly unusual, in way of filtering of audible human voices by specific augmentation. It feels sophisticated enough to be worn everywhere, low profile and soon you will forget it is on you. I dont know much about sound engineering, but i cant feel it is well balanced. Good for Bose

Bose SoundControl Hearing Aids
This is my first hearing aid so nothing to compare this to. It was easy to set up and and even though I wear glasses, the hearing aid body fit behind the ear with no problems. I downloaded the Bose Hear app and then paired the hearing aids to my iPhone. I like the ability to customize the sound to your environment. Just received them this afternoon, but so far I like them. I can hear the tv without having to turn the tv volume up. My wife appreciates that.

Changing my life for the good
I just had a 20 min dialogue with my wife in our living room and for the first time in a number of years I could hear every word she said. And I was not asking her to repeat things. She also says that the volume of my voice has gone down to normal levels vs being overpowering. I had a similar experience last night in a noisy restaurant and the night before at a talkative dinner session with close friends. Amazing! Thank you.

Does work with Bose Soundsport headphones
A message notified me I should get this app when I first connected my Bose Soundsport headphones. While the app recognizes and even displays a photo of my headphones, it tells me to connect them to my phone through a second app. I’ve downloaded the app and connected my headphones yet still, this app refuses to recognize that they’re connected. Overall a frustrating and time-consuming waste of time. I expected more from Bose.

Wonderful
Have only worn them for an hour and my hearing is so much better, especially compared to my $6,000 hearing aids!! The phone is also clear as well as the television. I will continue to use the closed caption though as it is just the frosting on the cake! Anxious to try these out in a restaurant and hoping that changing the batteries are not a problem as my other hearing aids are rechargeable.

Better than my $3000 Phonak in-ear-canal hearing aids!
I haven’t heard so well in years—and can adjust the settings on my Hearphones to different environments. My only complaint is that they take only ten hours’ charge. I’m actually considering buying a second set as a “relief” device for when the charge on the first pair dies out. I love that the Hearphones also allow me to take phone calls and listen to podcasts or music through the earpieces!

Good value
I have worn hearing aids before. They were not very good and the technician would not set them to my satisfaction. After I finally lost both of them I did without until now. These Bose hearing aids are as good as the $5000 Hearing aids, maybe better as I can set them the way I like. The fit is not as good as the custom fit, but is good enough. Can’t comment on long term use or ease of maintenance

Has improved my hearing.
I found it very easy to setup the hearing aids with this app. Took a minute to learn the interface but after that it’s quick and easy to navigate. I’m hearing things I never heard with the expensive set I’ve had for the past 4 years. The only thing I would like to see in the future is to expand the app to the Apple Watch.

Wow, Love Hearphones!
My 96 yo Mom has had the most expensive hearing aides and got a new pair every two years for last 15-20 years. She always complained about moving from one environment to another how difficult it was to get them adjusted. These headphones have been a godsend. She can hear tv and conversation much better. I would highly recommend them. Just know when you purchase they need to be paired with a smartphone.

Exactly what I needed.
I have about 10% hearing loss primarily on my right ear. I can’t hear Hugh pitch noise too on both ears. I’m really ok with general conversation as long as there’s no noise around me. But when the atValley is on or in a car or in a restaurant I have difficulty hearing a conversation. I saw this Bose Hearphone and wanted to try it. It’s perfect. I can focus the Hearphone to hear directly in front of around me. Hearing volume is also adjustable. Love it.

Very unreliable app
When it first came out, the app was very reliable. Put in the batteries and the device connected immediately. Now I guess the “updated” it. One can never get it to work the first, second or third time. Finally deleted the app, deleted the device from the bluetooth list and hoping that reinstalling may do the trick. Good example of “leave it if it’s not broken”. The UI is still clunky and in the same state as the first release. So what did they actually accomplish is the question- other than completely screwing the usability.

I can’t believe what I hear. I have about 10 to 20% hearing loss. Enough that my wife will say something in the same room and I say what or I say nothing. and she says it again. Then says you need your hearing checked. When I first turned the hearphones on and she said those first words to me I have to admit I started to tear up. I could not believe it. So far I am looking this product THANKS Bose.

Friend of mine went to Bose from his old prescriptions. I recently suffered some hearing loss due to chemo, so I spoke with the audiologist about these. To her credit, she said they should fine given my level of hearing loss. On top of that, the hearing aids at her office would’ve been $1400-$1600 out of pocket for me. Thank you Bose for providing an affordable, quality hearing aid!

Good hearing aides.
Since I received my gift of BOSE Hearing aides from my daughter, I can now hearing what people are praying in my prayer group. Not what I thought
I purchased the BOSE Hearphones and I also downloaded the app. I do not get the quality of the BOSE sound when listening to TV or listening to conversations. Too much treble and humming. When I speak I can hear myself very loud. I have been playing with the world volume and treble and bass levels but can’t find the sound I am accustomed to with BOSE. The music plays well. Lots of money and not as happy as I usually am with my BOSE other purchases. These however are great hearing aids for those who need them in this manner.

About time!
Ever since startup HearOne closed, I’ve waited for the “big boys” to get into the “PSAP” (personal sound amplification product) business. Who better than Bose. Only request for next software update? A full range equalizer. Some companies already offer this. Midranges need to be tweaked too, if we are trying for optimal hearing assistance. Plus more ads targeting us geriatrics.

External sound leaks thru even at -50 setting
I like the way the HearPhones enhance listening to the TV or in groups. For enhancing hearing they are very good. However when using as Bluetooth connected listening to music with World Sound set to -50, external sound is still coming thru. So noise cancellation is only so so. I have Bose 700 noise cancelling headphones which do so much better. Tried all three tips, no difference. Another issue is that at -50 World setting, bass/treble selection seems not to work. Finally, the music boost settings seem to be of little use. Neither the + or ++ settings makes much difference in volume.

The hearphones have really helped my 95 year old father hear much better. His hearing loss is really isolating so I was happy when he started wearing them.
