Calibrate for the win
This app has been amazing working for me to get what I need to be successful. Doctor, who is actually interested in helping me out. Coach, who actually sets realistic goals not a generic goal. Curriculum that actually means something. Materials that makes keeping up with my weight loss easy. I’m really enjoying being apart of this app so far.

Restrictive
The app is better than the prior because of the layout. Now there are more options under support which makes it easier to auto choose topics to discuss with the Calibrate team. Additionally the response time from the support team has improved. Session connectivity with my coach has not been good; on two occasions the meeting was dropped at the beginning of the session and the new app does not have ANY way to communicate directly with your coach. All message must be processed though the support area of the app and vetted. So in the case of a bad connection for a biweekly coaching session there is no way to communicate an alternative contact method so that the meeting can continue. The time is lost and so is the support for two more weeks; making it four weeks until a coaching, two way dissolution occurs. It would be nice to receive more push reminders from the app regarding this daily tasks to remember (ie: drink more water, take a walk after a meal). If I recall, there were more push reminders for tracking on the last app; I rarely receive any reminders on the new app ( other than for appointments or support responses). I felt more connected on a daily base to the first app. And the program at that time.

Poor Design and Content Delivery
The functions of they app have tremendous potential however they are not user friendly nor are they practically for daily use/tracking. The Content also has been highly informatives but deliverd in some of the wost methods. There are exercises that it tells you to fill something out (writing or typing) but the app lets you do none of these things. You can not print or bookmark. This brings to another frustraing point when you read quality content and want to bookmark you can not. As you learn new habits and want to practice them you have to maneuver and scroll your way back to the content and try to recall which specific less on which specific week something occurred. There are numerous other examples I am happy to share however the overall takeaway is the poor quality of the app hampers progress, which is unfortunate because the program has great potential.

Great Program - App, not so much
They've been revamping the app for about 9 months. While it took over a month to get it functioning at all, It is now clunky, but gets the job done. Tracking works well, but progress graphs could be better designed to be more meaningul. The curriculum tab works well, although you used to be able to print the curriculum and now you can't. The biggest issue is the support tab. You have to go digging to find your messages, even the open ones. And given that messaging is the only way to communicate directly with the Calibrate team, it isn't ideal. I'd also like to see more information available in the profile tab.

Not the Best Experience
Be sure to get a second opinion on whatever their on hand physicians tell you. I told my primary physician about what we went over in the the first session and was told that I was given medical misinformation about a diagnosis. On top of that my medication was out of stock for months on my medication and there was no way to get any help. Their solution was remove me from the program for not scheduling the frequent meetings, but after discussing dietary and exercise changes there was nothing to discuss because I did not have access to my medicine and they didn’t offer any possible help on how to get it either.

Glitchy & awkward
The app has never been the most easy to navigate. If you fall a bit behind the catch up is not done in a consecutive manner that would make it much easier. It has always been glitchy but they have a new update so let’s see. The program itself is meh. It takes months to get going and the customer service isn’t always prompt. Sometimes you never hear back. They make filling in the message unreadable as you fill in the fields so you just hope autocorrect hasn’t gone too crazy.

Half baked
You’re supposed to track all this information every day, but you can’t ever see it after a month or so. I need to know what my information was exactly 2 months ago when I started taking this medicine, but there’s no way to see that. There’s a stupid graph that kinda shows you with touch points, but you can’t even tap on the touch point and see what it exactly was on that day. You have to guess based on where it is on the graph. It’s just irritating that they track all this data but then also hide it from you.

Scam!!!
Save your money. While you may be granted access to medication, you will have to pay upwards of $550 a month and that’s if you’re lucky. The worst part is the mobile app (your sole way of communicating) is slow and rarely works properly. What ends up happening is you get medication for $550 and then you relentlessly follow up via the app to get the rx filled and then too much time elapses and you have to start with the lowest dose…for $550. Nobody calls you back. This is a total waste of money. You’re better off getting a rx through a doctor and then applying for a coupon for the medication. Will save you a fortune. DON’T BE FOOLED.

The worst program ever
The biggest waste of my money. Will not refund even though the app update was done AFTER you originally joined. Cannot meet with coaches unless you have phone service since you can only use the app. No desktop website anymore; pathetic. Messages to support go unanswered….. currently waiting 7 days for a response. Nothing has gotten better since the CEO sent out an email. Don’t waste your time or money. Also, after reading more reviews… I feel as though there are enough dissatisfied customers, we could file a lawsuit. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Life changing program
I have been using Calibrate for the last 2+ years now. It has changed my life! It teaches you the basics to how to empower you with food pillars, emotional support, Exercise, and how to be mindful about life changes through the program. They also have a support team through the app, they are very helpful!

Looks like Calibrate paid to have their bad ratings erased
About 9 months ago if you looked at this app’s ratings you would have seen a massive amount of 1 star reviews when they did an abysmal job of rolling out their “new and improved” app. People (including myself) shared our negative experiences about terrible and often non-existent customer service. Now those reviews are magically gone. Not sure how a company can just erase the things they don’t want people knowing about. Don’t join this program. Service is terrible and the “coaches” are ineffective and totally useless.

First program and app that has ever worked for me!
I love the Calibrate application and programming. It helps me manage my goals, connects me with my care team at the click of a button, and has an easy to navigate interface. I recommend Calibrate to everyone I know looking to regain control of their health.

App Abysmal- Program Good
The app is so poorly designed I cannot stand it. Why every time I login it still tells me we got an app update over a year ago and an annoying pop-up and I can’t turn it off. The UX is so bad and the basic design principles are completely ignored. if you’d like a real user feedback on how users use the app successfully or unsuccessfully in this case, I’d be happy to participate. I work in Web app design and would literally be fired for producing this product.

Scam!
They took weeks to contact me after signing up because they had my email entered incorrectly and they kept failing to correct the error so each step took me weeks to do and by that time the trial period was up. My bloodwork expired after submitting it and they wanted more but I didn’t want to have to pay even more money for their error. When I brought any of this up they refused to refund me. Literally weeks between messages before they updated the app.

Excellent app and vary responsive company
I have enjoyed working the physicians and coaches of calibrate. They have been vary responsive. I have had to switch medication several times as well as get prior authorizations from my insurance company. They have navigated the complexity of this seamlessly. Overall, very pleased with my experience

Bring Back the Desktop Version
I am continually disappointed in the app performance from scheduling coaching or doctor visits to messaging support or receiving notifications, none work satisfactory. I would prefer the desktop version as I don’t always want to read from a phone screen. The new app has discouraged me from updating my progress as I don’t want to use it and am no longer notified with a reminder for my update or goals.

Very thoughtful and considered
This app is very helpful to get you comfortable with the idea of changing your lifestyle with the support of medicine like zepbound and wegovy. It’s been fantastic so far and I’ve changed my diet and exercise for the better losing weight even before I started the medication.

App rating
I feel like this app is “old looking.” It should be more apparent on how to get to the message sending/reading functionality. When trying to fill out my daily red foods, sleep, etc. I am unable to do more than 1 day at a time easily. The app could definitely be more modern and user friendly.

Very unhealthy
This program is not sustainable. They teach unhealthy diet behaviors that do not promote a healthy body or mindset. I was told to drink more water when hungry, ignore my hunger cues, ignore my cravings. Basically, don’t listen to what your body is telling you. Lose weight at all costs. I was shamed for questioning the program and ignored when I expressed concerns about losing too much weight too fast. Don’t do it.

Frustrating
When using the Support contact on an iPhone 13 mini, the on-screen keyboard hides the Submit button and there's no way to see the text being entered. Since Calibrate won't allow logging in from their web site, it's dead in water.

Calibrate has half of a decent app
When we pay for an expensive medical program and the only way to access your medical team is a mobile app, the app had better be pretty good. There is no method within this app to communicate with your doctor. Or renew your prescriptions. None. You have to raise a support ticket and wait days to get a resonse. The app is the portal through which customers conduct a 15 minute meeting with their calibrate coach. If the coach chooses not to reschedule. And reschedule they do! My coach is a very nice lady who knows the program well. But when I ask her if I need to titrate to a lower dose, she answers that “the medical team monitors progress and will usually make the required changes to the medication.” When I let her know that this is rather urgent because I need my prescription renewed, she recommended that I reach out to support. When I asked her to be my coach, the only person at calibrate that I get to speak with. That I need her to tell me when we could clear up my medication schedule, she said she would log a support ticket for me and hand off the “question” to support for me. This is prescription medicine. This pill farm will get you the drugs but once that’s done, your healthcare is up to you. Good luck safely getting off the drugs. My wife has had the same experience. The drugs work. Matching the drugs with nutrition and exercise coaching is a good idea. Calibrate will burn three months of your one year subscription getting you the drugs. But the there is no exit plan and the maintenance planning is non-existent. Two stars because they will find a way to get you on GLP medications and the meds do work. Minis three stars because they do not manage your health once you are in the drugs and they are terrible at helping to make sure your therapy continues on a schedule. Maybe work with your primary care physician if you can.

New App, same issues? New issues too…
Update: Seems like the only thing fixed so far is that I no longer get hit with the welcome screen every time I open the app. :( The new app is more responsive and has better navigation, but I’m still unable to automatically sync, daily goals have no titles or context, and new issues have been introduced. It keeps asking me to update the medical teams on when I started a medication and the alert won’t go away after I answer. Curriculum loads a blank screen. Either it’s broken or they forgot to design a blank state. At first I thought the new graph feature was broken because the screen doesn’t refresh when you select 3 months vs 1 week, but the problem is the display… they expect you to know to scroll horizontally to see the whole thing which defeats the purpose of showing different timelines. (Hard to see trends when you have to scroll forever) When you’re entering daily information, the title is very small/light and it’s not obvious whether you’re on steps or weight. This is even more confusing when you realize it automatically jumps to the next daily input because it looks like you hit save and nothing happened. The new app is a good start, but it really needs user testing and a better heuristic evaluation. Compounding this with lack of transparency on my medical plan, I would not recommend this experience to anyone else right now.

Their refund policy is misleading
Don't believe their refund policy. The app itself has bugs (not showing messages or allowing Zoom calls), and the company is not being transparent in their refund language. Customer service only responds quickly us you request a refund. The website and policy state that you can’t get a refund except in a few situations. One of those is if you sign up for the Metabolic Reset and if Calibrate is “unable to help you secure initial access to a GLP-1 medication for a copay of $25/month or less (after any deductible is met) within 90 days of your initial doctor appointment, you may request a refund for the amount you paid less a $250 fee to cover your initial doctor’s appointment.” So I signed up for a second year of Metabolic Reset. When they weren’t able to get me less than $1000/month, I asked for a refund and was told I’m not eligible because I’m in a “Masters” Metabolic Reset program, and all Masters programs are non-refundable, even though the Metabolic Reset Repeat is a Metabolic Reset program (which, according to their policy, is refundable in this circumstance). I thought I read the fine print and understood the refund criteria (that’s why I chose and paid extra for the Metabolic Reset program again), but they’re telling me that I’m wrong and that since their policy is transparent, they’re being “firm” with me. Also, they say that they’re delayed in responding to support messages. I can confirm that it took days to get responses about anything from scheduling to insurance to medication. However, when I asked for a refund, suddenly, I got responses in hours if not minutes.

Disconnect between Health Information Tech and Medical Care?
I am hopeful that this app does NOT represent the information that the Calibrate clinicians review to provide medical support for this program. Here is why I say this - the app no longer includes Lab results - there is a place for lab results, but they are missing. The app does not include all the trended data from the scale - in my case, it includes only the last month of data. All other indicators such as waist measurements are gone from the app. Supposedly, Medical Check-ins come through the app. Have only received one message in 6 months. And that was just a few days before Calibrate stopped my Ozempic prescription - cold turkey. Learned they were stopping the prescriptions from PillPack. Medical team from Calibrate sends a msg through the app saying congrats, your BMI is just below 25, that’s why you no longer need to take Ozempic - a “cold turkey stop”. What about all the other indicators such as labs - glucose, A1C, waist msmts, etc. etc……am afraid that data may have disappeared from the clinicians view - it has disappeared from my view. Health information technology is really important to clinical care…without clinical data, and in the absence of physically seeing a patient, how do the clinicians actually be effective? Data is important…isn’t it? I hope your clinicians have access to all my data, as I don’t have access to it in this app anymore…..

New and improved app
Update July 5th— New app still HORRIBLE!!! Even with multiple updates and “bug” fixes the Sync still not working; my new classes assigned by my coach still locked. It is such a let down and like others have said the amount of money being paid out to have such a horrible app to track progress and get your informational classes on. Come on!!!! You should be able to do better these are very minor things and you all have screwed them all up even worse!!!! This “new and improved app” is terrible!! There are only two things I like about it and that is: -the emoji for the energy levels -being able to reschedule and cancel appointments easier. The worst things about this app: -on the tracking summary pages the dates are not in consecutive order with today’s date at the top. Makes it very hard to look at the past tracking summary. -can not enter your complete weight I.e. pounds and ounces. You have to use whole numbers where as the old app allowed for ounces tracking. -the start up screen and notification screen do not dismiss when you dismiss them. They show up every time you open the app. -my old messages keep showing up now and they are from very beginning and keep showing up. Keeps duplicating the old messages. I was hoping for better and got worse!!! You didn’t research and test this app very well in my opinion!!

Horrible App and company
The app is horrible and does not work correctly at all. I don’t even know where to begin. Just nothing works as it should, complete waste of time to try to go on there and track anything. Extremely expensive program to only make your life worse. Not even to just waste your money without any benefit, but you are paying to literally make your life worse. And there is no getting out of it, they will not let you cancel at all, they have your money for a year and then will not deliver on anything they sold you and will not even pro-rate a refund. There is no phone number anywhere to contact anyone, you have to send messages through their joke of an app and then those messages just go in to a black void that they will never answer or even acknowledge. All of this frustration and then seeing the amount of money you still just have to hand over to them every month is at the very least enough to make you want to eat to comfort yourself. Let alone something worse. I hate I ever had anything to do with this company. It is the worst decision I have ever made that lasts a year of my life and takes tons of my hard earned money. And I wish they would actually be ashamed of what they have done, but of course not.

The new app is a disaster - 1 1/2 months post launch
The new app continues to be a disaster. My opening page is still locked, it still doesn’t sync with my Apple Watch, I can’t access my classes, I can no longer email my coach, the scale on the weight graph is ridiculous (seriously starting at 0???! - I mean what adult weighs less than 100lbs?! and is on this program?), the tracking goals at the top is harder to follow despite its enormous size, and suddenly now I can’t track my red foods. I continue to get emails saying that a new update is available but each time I click on the link or go to the App Store, no update is available. It’s really frustrating as it’s affecting my engagement and learning. While the old app was a little glitchy (it would freeze at times), it was easier to read, more intuitive, more customizable by my coach for my experience, and, most importantly, it worked. While I have found calibrate really helpful since I started in March my experience in the last month and a half since they rolled out the new app has completely fallen short of my expectations. I was on a roll with learning and making changes and that progress has been derailed as every interaction with the app is frustrating. I hope they figure this out soon.
