Ya gotta have this app to have access to your caresource card and information a d you can pay your bill through the app. I just wish I didn't have to log in every time. Really if it stayed unlocked and someone steals my phone, what are they gonna do? Pay my bill?? I say leave it unlocked or let me use my finger print to unlock it. Other than that, it's fine.
Can only log into the app 10% of the time. It’s the most frustrating thing about it. I’d like to have access to see which providers I can use to make setting up appointments easier but it looks like I’ll have to call every doctors office to find who takes caresource! Or wait on hold for 30 minutes. It’s a little ridiculous when there is a website and app that has these features but neither of them work! I would rate two stars because the app is set up with all the information needed to make things easier, however all of these problems logging in is way too frustrating. I’ve read the reviews and I’m apparently not the only one with these problems, fix it please!
The Care Source app rarely loads when I need it too and it is very difficult to make a payment to them. I have tried unsuccessfully for months to set up automatic payments and the function simply will not work. Since autopay does not work I have to pay my bill monthly but the site that Care Source uses to accept online payments does not work. Sometimes it will let me pay my bill and sometimes it will not, which causes missed payments which are then followed up with letters stating that Care Source will drop my coverage if I don't promptly pay my bill. So dear Care Source, I would gladly pay my bill if you would simply accept my payments.
I appreciate the app, but it reacts very slowly and takes weeks to update my information. I’ve completed all three things needed to get the $10 gift card also for both me and my two daughters and have yet to receive anything. I’ve even had someone from CareSource call me and have me redo the survey over the phone. When they looked up my info I did not exist in the system but somehow my daughter did. I think if they worked out the glitches it would be fine. Also I don’t understand how to access my rewards. The app needs a little more explaining, it will be very helpful once that’s fixed.
I literally can’t even access it ever since I got it to finally load my account information. Entered the same info three times only for it to display that I had no plan, I sit on the phone for idk how long with a customer service rep who basically does nothing and it finally refreshes and fixes. Now that that issue is over, it refuses to even load past the login screen. Sometimes it won’t even let me log in, it immediately takes my face-ID and just sits there loading. It tells me I’m not connected to a source of internet even though I’ve tried it on just my data and just my WiFi still no difference. What’s the point?!?!
If you’re going to require your customers to download this app to access anything at all… Then you need to address the major bugs at the very least. I never log in to this app without experience a multitude of issues, such as freezing up, pop-up notifications about losing connection, out-of-date search results, the navigation bar getting stuck and blocking the entire screen, etc. Overall it’s the worst app I’ve had the displeasure of using on my iPhone and I’ve had some really glitchy apps. This one takes the prize.
Not the most user-friendly app for such an important service
Half of the links in the app don’t work (“Find a Pharmacy”, “cost estimator”, etc). I keep having to open up links on Google Chrome, both on my mobile devices and Mac to get the site to work. Health insurance is something that can be needed at anytime and this information is important. I shouldn’t have to open 5 tabs and *hope* they load to find the information I need.
This has been a issue for yearsssssss people can’t log in or stay logged in with their face and finger print come on, I had a doctors appointment today! Guess who had to call caressource and wait to speak to somebody hours after my appointment because the app wouldn’t work for my digital app. It's not just me! If you go look at your App Developer reviews EVERY ONE has been having this same issue with not being able to sign into your App! For years it looks like! What are you and your department developers going to do about it?
The app kind of works. Nearly everything leads you to a site that is only nominally useable on mobile - like finding a care provider. Further, on iOS, the app often fails to load properly despite everything being fully updated. Have used apps from Cigna, UHC, and others this app falls far behind. If you need your card it works fine, but if you need to find your vision benefits find a computer. TL;DR - it works but don’t expect to do much without an actual computer or tablet.
Helping a family member use the app, thinking it was just because they didn’t know how to use a phone but it actually turns out this app is near useless. I tried something as simple as finding a doctor nearby and neither would it find my location or take a manual entry. It couldn’t look up the plan that’s literally in the app, nor would it let me select any filters. It literally just gives a generic error and then loads forever. Tried their website and it was the same thing.
Since your last update I am not able to pull up my CareSource ID Card. When I try to log in thru the app I get an error message to try later or call customer service. I have contacted customer service to have them notify the back office that created the app and they told me they could not do anything for me and wanted me to try to delete the app and reinstall it which did not help. Please have programmers look into issue and have it resolved.
The app would be great expect it won’t let me use Face ID. It has the option, but when I switch it on it ask for Touch ID instead of Face ID; then when I click “yes” to enable it the app closes out and i have to sign in all over again.
First somehow, they opened two accounts under my name. The account they actually had activated was not the account I was using. When I finally discovered this myself, I contacted the company to have them switch everything to one account. Somehow, 2 payments never made it over, and then they claimed I was behind in payment still. After talking with someone twice, and a promise to get a follow up, nothing. I’m still receiving notices that I’m behind, but I count them up in my account, and for the year, I count 12 payments. They are incompetent, and I am quitting them.
I specifically asked about coverage for my diabetes drug and the agent said it's covered as long as the doctor office made a prior authorization request. I was told it would be $25 a month instead of nearly $2000 a month. Did everything as requested. Got the approval and CVS still wants $916 a month. Talk to agent at CareSource - now it's $50 a month AFTER meeting my $7500 deductible. CareSource just out right lies to get you to sign up and take your money. The approval letter ended with "we care about your health" but the don't - just out there scamming clients
The app has somethings that are ok. Access to card information. Other areas are out of date… Physicans and hospital numbers doNot include all doctors that are in Netwerk it doesn’t include any doctors that are out of network hospital numbers are out of date and I cannot see when my sons authorizations have been approved and approval for the authorization that I’m waiting for has already been over two weeks for an MRI that he needed to weeks ago
I was given ID cards I went through the entire process of completing the application. Was told by several people. I lost my insurance on February 29 this year. I was told because of losing my insurance I was able to get the coverage. My start date was April 1,2024. I called my doctor to set up an appointment but the receptionist told me my new insurance was not affective. I called and was told my insurance was canceled Apri1,2024 because it was outside of open enrollment. Wasn’t it an exception because I had lost my insurance.
When I click on add my birth date, it takes me to a white screen with nothing on it except the option to cancel adding my plan. I can add my birth date if I do that first before entering my member ID or name. However, once all information is put in and I press add plan, it takes me to the white screen and I can’t press anything except for canceling adding my plan. I can’t use the app for anything because of this
The search for doctors is difficult to use. You pick the filters and your stuck on that menu unless you scroll all the way back to the top. The search doesn’t have all the current doctors. Example: I searched for a counselor. It gave me only one who was 67 miles away. When I called CareSource, they had 3 within 10 miles. The out of pocket and deductible information isn’t accurate. My app shows I have no money applied to anything. On the phone, CareSource was able to tell me how much I have left.
I’ve tried from my phone and laptop and neither devices get get the website to work. The website is awful and can’t support the cost estimator tool. The app is just the same. It’s extremely frustrating when trying to figure out where to go for a procedure and cost estimates. This has got to be fixed. Especially when the insurance representatives who answer the phones can’t even spell “excision”.
Already a pain.i just installed the app and have had to spend way too much time just trying to register. App said “email address already being used” so I tried to use my email address and get my psssword but msg said “no such account”. So when trying to email to straighten account situation out, I found when explaining “reason” the site can’t accept apostrophes, &, and probably no commas either!
Look into providing on-line chat assistance 24/7 on your app and website it would be a great feature/tool to have. Many companies offer this now and it’s a great tool that I feel CareSource customers would enjoy the benefit of speaking to someone anytime.
The website always has issues with logging in. I’ve tried logging in the past two days. Yesterday when the login finally loaded up - online payments weren’t available. Today, I’ve been watching the login loading screen for 20 min (and it’s still trying to load the login). The app had difficulties letting me in as well. You need someone who can create a simpler and better user experience. Looking into billing and knowing how to navigate on both the app and website is a miserable experience. That’s IF I can even get past the login experience. Please get this issue to your nerds. I pay too much money to waste my time just trying to get logged in to check and pay billing. Thanks.
This app won’t let me sign in with my user name and password. It will connect me to the website that will let me sign in BUT it shows last years ID and coverage. No matter how many times I change my password it won’t work even after twice uninstalling the app and reinstalling. Additionally, there’s no link for any problem but “forgot password” so you can’t even get a link to reset all your info.
You need to add your name and logo at the top of your monthly receipts for payment! Via benefits won’t accept them the way they are without it ! So I have to call every month to have a receipt mailed to me! Thanks
I love the app, makes life easy. However, version 2.0 launched today and after updating I went to sign in and it prompted me to download 2.0.1. Until I do it won’t let me sign in and use it. But 2.0.1 isn’t available so until they fix the prompt or release 2.0.1 the app is useless.
I wish this app would allow us to do it all from within the app. It goes to a browser. Also, can you add the ability to schedule transportation both in the app and online? It’s difficult to always have to call it in.
This app worked a month ago now it doesn’t work at all nor is there an update for it. I can’t use it on my iPad either. For that matter, I can’t directly login to CareSource from ANY browser. Terribly disappointed. Now I have to rely on calling customer service every time I have a question that could easily be answered online if only I could access the website.
The app keeps telling me there are technical difficulties. The message indicator isn’t going away as I try to open and clear the messages. It’s very irritating. The app hasn’t updated my plan coverage from bronze to silver even though I know I’m on the silver plan. The cards still show bronze as well. It’s disappointing.
No providers. It’s very hard to find providers through the app as well. Then when I call the closest providers are an hour away or you have to go to a hospital. The deductibles are way too high and my monthly prescription is not covered by the insurance. Should have more private practice pediatricians and family doctors available. Only Medicaid seems to be able to get sufficient medical care.
I am replying to Xrayofthelight comment on that she’s not able to open the app with her thumb print. But I did open it with my thumb! All I did was accepted them saving my email address and that was it!
This site is very hard to use. It is not always up to date. It always give an error message that you cannot sign, even though you can. It is very confusing!
I have tried to sign in for the last 3 days, and every time, it asks me for my email and password, then i get my sms verification and that is no problem, but then it takes me back to the app login page, it asks me for just my password, and then it just takes me right back to the app login page.
I love my insurance and I love this app. They make it easy and fun! I’ve never had an insurance company be so health conscious for you and be so helpful with so many things in sickness and health!
I live this app when it works. However, about 80% of the time it takes atleast 10-15 mins for the app to let you finally login. It always tells me there is some sort of “error” with the system. Please please fix this
The app is terrible. The website is completely out of date too. 90% of the people that are listed as in network, are not. You call In and wait on hold forever, and they give you another person who they say is the network, and then you call to set up an appointment and they are not in network. Care source is absolutely the worst...
There is a glitch where the app keeps having error messages saying not connected to the internet. This is untrue because my wifi and mobile data signal are both functional (tested multiple other apps and functions with no issue). It might be some type of bug
Won’t let me log in until I update but there is no update
I can log in 30% of the time. It always says “update required to log in” however, there is no update available and this happens all the time. So, I have to try over and over again for days to see if I can log in
Search is a joke on this app. You can never find the right doctor you’re searching for. I searched for dental and got results for midwives. Also I put in my address that’s in Dayton and got results for Cleveland. When I finally found one I called and the number was wrong. It’s a waste of time. Just use google and call and see if they take Medicaid. Do better CareSource.
I’ve searched for over 30 minutes on how to update my expiring credit card info with no luck. Can’t even find it in the FAQ section. I received an email advising it needs to be updated. A link in that email or steps to update CC info would be nice.
The customer service is top notch...They really make you feel important...everyone I have dealt with has been genuine and caring. I could not be more satisfied!
I can’t even login. I deleted and reinstalled the app, but I get the same error message. I tried to sign up instead of login but nothing happens. No error message, nothing. It just stays on that screen. I thought having this app would be a good idea, but it’s turning out not to be.
Can’t look for doctors, view policy coverage or pay my premium because I cannot log in. This has been going on for MONTHS!! Why hasn’t this been resolved??? App says “app instance error” when trying to log in. For the money I pay every month, this app NEEDS TO WORK.
Even though I had cancelled my plan through the app, weeks prior, I was still charged for the amount. I called both Caresource and the company I had my plan through and neither company recognized my cancellation. Clearly they are moneygrabbers towards their customers. I may not even get my money back, in spite of cancelling my plan WEEKS AGO.
Every time I log in to the app, these things annoy me: -It asks me to update my plan (which I’ve already done) -No dark mode It DOES allow me to pay my bill, which is nice.
I'm starting to get onto the app. It is a little hard to find exactly what you are looking for. Also the numbers on how much I have paid for prescriptions always says 0. Hopefully I'll get better with time.
The app seems to show what my claims are, but the find a physician is terrible. They either don’t take care source but are listed as taking it, or need a referral, which the insurance supposedly doesn’t require. It’s really difficult to figure out who is in network and they don’t seem to have many doctors at all in network.
