When it works it’s perfectly fine. The problem is about 50% of the time it remains frozen on the opening graphic. If it gets past the opening graphic after freezing it then doesn’t load any of the movie times or cinema locations. Reloading the app doesn’t help anything.
When trying to purchase tickets in advance I simply pick the showtime, select which seats I want, enter payment info, and purchase. However, at the very end when I click purchase, the screen shows that it is “processing” the transaction for a whole minute, then reads “error- try again”. Of course I start the whole process over only to find out that the seats I had previously selected are now coincidently taken. And I look at my Chase app to find out that I’ve been charged for the transaction. But no tickets! Then I have to contact the theater to work it out with them, by which time someone else actually does take the seats I wanted. Foolish me trusts it’s a one time hiccup and have now gone through this entire fiasco twice. Ridiculous.
Tried buying 4 tickets. It times out and kicks me out several times, by time I get back in my first selection of seats are gone. I get back in and start all over (this was literally the 5th time of trying to buy tickets) and finally purchase the tickets. Only to discover the app already had a purchase of 4 different seats that I didn’t even choose. Now I have 8 seats in two different sections of the theatre Awful app. And now I can’t get a refund on the extra 4 seats. What a money scam. I’ll be reporting this to the attorney generals office if they don’t give me a refund. Of course there’s no “help” link any where on the app. Because they just want to scam you. Nice racket.
I love Celebration Cinema; I’ve never had an issue with their app. I even became a VIP subscription service member. However, ever since I signed up for the monthly service - I am no longer able to get the app to load beyond its opening red logo screen. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I’ve restarted my phone. I even tried the App Support link here before submitting my review - which was also a broken link. I need help. I’ll gladly change my review to 5 stars - but this is getting ridiculous. There doesn’t seem to be a reason why the app won’t load on my phone, when others I know on the same carrier and phone have no issues. Please help.
Well, I’m sure it would be if you were even able to access your account information. It won’t let me sign out. I’ve deleted the app and all data and redownloaded it hoping it would prompt me to sign in, but somehow manages to sign into an old account no matter how many times I try this. I try to edit account information (because it’s incorrect) and there’s not even an option to do so on the app. Absolutely terrible. 0/10 will not recommend this app.
We spent half an hour before and half an hour into the movie trying to order food due to exorbitant lines for the register. This app failed to load payment options for that entire time, crashing multiple times. We got to enjoy our movie significantly less without any popcorn or drinks and this app has helped not at all. Even asking for help from the staff did NOTHING. Trash app, dont trust it for a second.
I’m not sure what team is behind this all, but it’s one of the worst on the App Store. When you sell a VIP service that uses your app, and you require seat selection to purchase tickets (all which require the app) but the app literally gets stuck at the splash screen which allows you to do nothing, you’ve failed as an app developer. Get rid of whatever developers you’ve got and get some they know what they’re doing.
A bit frustrating after you spend the time to put in 10 different orders for your family and then spend 15+ minutes to try and get the order to process. Be nice if you could bring up the desired order you put into the app but the error screen kept closing the cart and bringing up the additional order screen. All this after being forced to go wait back in line a second time after picking up your tickets.
i used this app for months and now it will not open for me. just stays stuck on the red celebration cinema logo screen. it’s making me want to cancel the VIP membership because the website has such limited features compared to the app and it doesn’t even feel worth while to keep logging into a website every single time i need to look for movie tickets. i hate your website so much.
I loved this app—when it was working. Ever since I saw a movie on 1/3 and used the app to buy food (with apple pay) it won’t ever load past the logo screen. I have restarted my phone, deleted the app and reinstalled it (including deleting it from the cloud) but nothing works. I DMed Celebration and they basically told me they haven’t experienced a problem. Really disappointing. I would love to change my rating to five stars if it could work again.
The app was working fine but in the past 3 months I’d say I’ve had so many issues. I randomly get signed out and it won’t let me sign in. I can’t view upcoming showtimes or even movies available. The only thing I can do is look at purchases even though it says I’m not signed in. Im so close to cancelling my VIP because of hard it is to just order tickets. Feels like MoviePass all over again.
I have used this app multiple times a week for months as a subscription member and for a while now I cannot get the app to open. It won’t load and I can’t get it to get further than the initial red screen. Even before that, the amount of issues I’ve had with this app have been beyond frustrating. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.
Never had a problem with the app. Always works fast and efficient! Love pulling out my phone and going straight to the app and not the site! Order tickets right from the restaurant, sitting at a street sign or at home!
Honestly being able to pick your seats and tickets out before the movie and show up right on time (late) is awesome. The seats in our theater are all super comfy/recline which is also the top selling point for me 😍
Barring a sacrifice to something eldritch and terrible there’s a low to non existent chance this app will work correctly. I haven’t been able to even make it open for the last three days, it just sits in the loading screen and does nothing, despite having force closed, restarted, and deleting and reinstalling the app.
I have not been able to log into the app. I can log into the website so my credentials are correct. I’m able to log into the app with my husbands credentials just fine but not mine. I’ve uninstalled twice and nothing seems to work. Have asked for help via feedback twice without any answers. The app is great if you can use it. I’d like to use it again.
I don’t know what update happened to this or whatever but it’s terrible. It doesn’t show any showtimes or account info anymore, says “none available” for ALL days and theaters - can’t pre-purchase tickets or earn loyalty rewards which eliminates the point altogether. Delete and redownload doesn’t resolve issue.
It’s often slow and unresponsive to touch. On top of that, you can’t see available seating until you’ve added a ticket. Since it’s assigned seating, you should be able to view available seating BEFORE adding a ticket to your cart.
You have to pay with a credit card, it will not let you pay with a gift card. It would be nice if there was an option to put gift card on there rather that just credit or debit card. Otherwise the app works fine.
Finally found out this app was disconnected as of 9/5/23 no message to users or members just stopped working. Not exactly a great way to run a business (unless the idea is to run it into the ground) but hey not like they asked any of the paying members for their input 🤷♂️
It has always been a great app but I cant login anymore. It tells me my login info is incorrect. I log into the website just fine. Reloaded app. Still the same. Its a shame, I used the app all the time previous to this last update.
Seems like this app is all of a sudden charging me a monthly subscription fee, they opened theaters by me and the app started charging me. Contact us in the app fails with an error everytime i try to contact them to cancel. Fraud. They are just scamming folks out of a monthly membership fee
