Definitely needs updating. They cut and pasted the code from the cat vision app. Might want to do a find and replace and change “cat” to “dog” in the information pane. Makes you wonder what else is wrong! Great idea though. More than just a fun game, this helps you be more empathetic with your dog especially when buying toys. Turns out most toys are made for humans, from a color perspective!
When I hit the “i” it just gives a blank screen. It’s pretty cool and now offers a split screen option- however I really don’t understand why there’s a color wheel that you can tap to change things- I have no idea which one a dog sees. In one view everything’s yellow or grey, but the color blue pops. In the other- there’s a variety of muted color. Why would there be a button to change color views? Seems it should just be one thing that a dog sees. The “app support” button doesn’t work either.
It does show what a dog sees but can’t do much with the app. Would love to have a split screen of the exact same view, so I could compare without moving the phone. Would love to be able to take a side by side photo I can share with my dog friends. This would be very helpful for performance training to show what colors of jumps are better for the dog to see.
I love this app. It follows the current research on the dogs visual color spectrum. The low light vision needs some work but that can also be a limitation of the cell phone camera.
Yes dogs can see better at night but that doesn't mean they see even brighter in the day! Their vision is adaptive. It looks like developers just snatched a ready made algorithm and applied it blindly, literally. Sharing a photo only shares a link to the app. Almost a scam.
All three characteristics of dog vision: color, clarity and brightness are covered by this app. Split screen and photo options are perfect to compare human and dig vision!
Dog Vision is a revolutionary new iPhone app that lets you see the world how your dog sees it. Now "See Like Dog" !!! Based scientific research, the app creates a view through your iPhone camera on how dogs see color, acuity and brightness. Not just a fun toy, it can help you see why your pets find a toy more interesting or have problems navigating space.
