I got the app a while ago and it was just a disaster. Nothing would ever load, login information was shown as not valid, app would crash constantly, course info not available, etc. Nonetheless, the app has made great improvements to both performance and content ever since. While it still has some errors here and there and some things to fix, I would say the app now has more functionality than it did before. You can now load info directly from Canvas, and see other course material right on the app, events and other university activities are shown, and other items have made the app a little better. I would recommend getting the app. To the developers: please keep it up to date and trying to make it better since this is a very useful tool for the school.
The quarter system is great for getting your degree in a short period of time, and for cranking out as many graduates as you can from an Institution POV. However, be aware that if you are working a full time job, the amount of time required with the quarter system is a little overwhelming. It will leave little time for a personal life and self care like working out. Be even further aware that if you are taking online only, you’ll be spending even more time troubleshooting things that you are having a problem with. Ask for help? Forget about it. By the time you get an answer you’ll be far behind and next week’s due outs will be here. Enjoy and good luck.
The layout is way more useful now than it was before. The calendar could use some prettying up in terms of the controls and search. Maybe some thumbnails for events would help a lot too. Additionally, if the most prominent social feed could be featured on the front page that would be attractive as well, maybe even in place of the “news” section/widget. But keep on improving, this is better :)
No issues, I just wish the map had satellite/a search function that would just show you where the building is, and I wish the schedule would tell you what room you had to be in by the day. Other than that very useful
I just received my masters from this institution and must say that it was worth every bit of effort I put forth. I’m glad that they redesigned their online app, as it is very smooth and simple to navigate.
I want this app to be a good way for me to regularly check on my classes however it seems like the app is bogged down somewhere. It’s slow, and does not show everything. Recommendation for the developer is to see where the app is being slowed down and try to reduce that. Also I recommend checking out the grades feature. It should show all submissions whether they have been graded or not.
When I open the discussions tab it behaves as though I have not responded to the discussion question (even though I have) and therefore cannot see any replies. That’s pretty much the bread and butter of what I was hoping to use this app for, so I hope this issue will eventually be resolved.
The app doesn’t allow you to access modules. Why is that? I have videos to watch but since they aren’t graded I can’t access them. What is the point of having an app if it didn’t include everything in it? All you can access is assignments and grades. Not very helpful.
The application can be much better if management assess the short comings. For a respected university the lack of features and flexibility is depressing.
I LOVE this app! At first, my course information wasn't populating into the app, but now it is. Everything I could possibly look to find is here. It's like my own little personal campus advisor and it's tailored to me and what I need. Thanks, ERAU!
There is no login button. The new home format is much better than before, but when it freezes and won't do anything, don't logout and think you can log back in to reset it. Deleting and reinstalling doesn't help either. It's nice to see what courses you are taking on a handy portable format and see (stalk) the people in your classes. Just give me a login!!! Please!
One would expect a higher quality app from a $40k university. It would be nice if it actually worked. I tried looking up the information for some of my teachers but that would not work. It's frustrating! I ended up doing it though Ernie under people search instead as this app is simply worthless for such endeavors. Please fix! The Theory of the app is great, but as an engineering major I have learned that what counts is getting practical side to work and not just have a good theory.
For such a tech orientated school, the app stinks. Half the time before this update it would give me classes I took freshman year and would not display my current year. Refresh and boom everything is gone. Now with the update, it gets stuck at the select a campus screen. I gave up at the 10min mark as I thought I would give it a chance. Step it up riddle
The orientation section was added and has full functionality including login and courses. Unfortunately, the specific campuses no longer have login and courses. All "campuses" should have the ability to login and see courses.
The app worked great until the latest update. Now it crashes when you select your courses. I contacted IT their response is to uninstall and reinstall. Still does not work. Sticking to using a computer
