Big annoying design bug that is killing it… if you hit search, the keyboard comes up but if you hit cancel, cancel doesn’t work. If you tap a merchant or you do a search, it pulls up a drawer to go to the vendors site. Close that… back to search and keyboard blocking the menu. There’s no way to get out of search other than to totally close the app and reopen. Very frustrating. 4 stars cuz the app does help a lot, but this design flaw and bug in hitting cancel is UX 101.
I’ll download the next one Would have loved some cross over between the map and the panel/guest locations. The calendar worked great. I’d like to only get notifications for events that I have on my favorites, events, panels and guests I’ve liked.
With the changes to the locations of things this year, the app was very helpful for navigation purposes! I was able to look at guests’ schedules and see when they would be at panels or signing at their tables. It was also useful for information about events happening at the show! PS The Tavern was the BEST!!!
I’m only trying to cross reference the schedule to plan my day, and this app insists on being unusable. Whenever I try to filter schedule events, it force quits on me. This betrays the entire purpose of the app. Additionally, it still has not been updated with photo op and autograph times, last I was able to actually search for long enough to check. Please fix this before the event, ReedPop, it’s a really useful app to have otherwise.
Do not try to search, or use the timeline feature to plan your day or the app with crash. This app mostly useless but the app is really good at showing you the show hours. So if that is something you’d keep an app for then this is for you!
You cannot read the numbers on the map, if you try to zoom in it’s completely blurry and not legible. If you trying to find the location of a specific booth, it’s useless.
This app is ok. It is sometimes a quick way to search for guests, artists and vendors that will be at the convention; although the menus are a bit clunky and it's easy to find yourself clicking back and forth to find the section you actually want. You can add panels and autographs/photo ops to your schedule, which is nice. However, the most glaring omission is the ability to add venders and artists to a to-do list (a feature that was available on last year's app). Without this feature the app is only half as useful as the previous year's app at best. Disappointed.
I don't know which is worse the app or the guide they printed up. Missing info on many things or a clunky UI is one of many issues. My recommendation is to look it up on the website and write down where you want to go. Maybe better luck next time with all the nickel and diming money you make on these cons.
2018 review: There is no interactive cross referencing between the map and exhibitors (like with PAX), despite appearing to be built off the same base Guidebook engine, which makes it cumbersome to use on the show floor. Additionally, the map they uploaded for the main floor is at such low resolution, that I cannot read the booth numbers. So basically this app is useless for navigation this year.
The main reason I want to use this app is to organize my schedule. Every time I click to add something to my calendar, not only does it not work but the entire app crashes. Totally useless.
