Outstanding service, outstanding app
I have been using Epsy for almost a year. I used to keep seizures and medications in notes and of course that is not sustainable. Not only can you track seizure activity accurately, with time and duration of seizures, you can log notes and videos. This is very important as so much can happen in a week that there is just no way you will remember it all. When dealing with doctors, nurses, ER staff, you know how cloudy your own brain can feel due to the situation. Epsy makes it so much easier to hand them an accurate history of seizures, medications and even situations that may cause seizures. Yes!, you can log that too. I just can’t say enough. The app and the staff are awesome! Over the last six months I have had to contact Epsy for a couple things and they have been very responsive. There are a lot of apps out there, but this one has a human connection that I love. I don’t want to converse with AI… ever. I love this app. It has made a very stressful part of this situation, much more bearable. We also deal with separate households and this app removes the stress of having to go over everything with Dad each time they hang out together. Dad and I both feel like we know exactly what’s been going on with him and he too can log seizures and medications while he is away. Thank you Epsy team! Please keep up the great work!

Okay So Far
I haven’t used the app very long but I noticed there isn’t a way to track how long the seizure lasts. It gives you the option to track when it starts but not when it ends and for people who have seizure episodes that stop and start back up in the same time frame, it would be nice to have this option that way you can see how over time it trends on a graph. I would like to also see a video recording option so when you have your phone or other device around, you are able to instantly record the episodes and what they look like for doctors to be able to view and give insight. In addition, when you open the app, an automatic timer option should appear so those who need to keep track of how long a seizure has lasted can do so not only for themselves but especially if they are caring for a loved one or patient in addition to if any rescue medications were given and type, dose, etc. Other than this things, the app works well.

Great for long term records
Living with intractable epilepsy there are constant changes in medication type and dose and many other variables. This app if kept with at least a few times a week and after any seizures can work as a great tool to understand your condition and how it changes. You can look back months or years and use the accesses information to share with doctors or caretakers. It also works great to track medication changes so you can see if they possibly correlate to any changes in seizure type or frequency. I have found this app to be, more than any other, an integral component to my illness tracking and reporting. It would be great if they added seizure detection to the app as I have no idea when my seizures occur and rely on others to inform me of occurrences.

Grand Mal Seizures
I have a couple of followers on instagram that go through the same I go through. We support each other and Epsy is an I found that really has been helpful. I been using this app for more than 4-6 months slowly learning how to use it. I didn’t really know how to use it in the beginning and only began tracking one of the meds I take. I bring it up everywhere I’m at, specifically at hospital emergencies. I showed it to my neurologist once. She didn’t know how to use it much or log on. I got help once at emergency and started to try adding different other meds to log which days I been taking, times. How to add on or take off so I can show my neurologist at appointments and it can be more simple on how my body has been reacting on seizures

Best app I have used
I have tried other apps to remind me to take my medication on time, as I have Chiari Malformation and Hydrocephalus as well, and since my surgery my memory is not the best, very forgetful. So I love the reminders that are separate from the other things scheduled in your day so I stay focused. I have tried the app epiwatch by Hopkins University and I thought that would be a great app but it's difficult to use to track seizures, and has a lot of bug fixes. This one does not. It works perfectly. It also lets you go back and mark if you forgot to mark that you took the meds. Seizures are easy to mark the times and describe. I would like a few more words than 200 or maybe I am just long winded lol but overall great app you will not be disappointed at all!

great for managing any medications
I take 3 different medications - epilepsy, minipill, and an amplifier supplement. it also helps me keep track when I’m switching my epilepsy medications. I took stars because I want this feedback to go to heart: make it so I can say I didn’t take or took one late of my medications at any specific time. i’ve, on occasion, run out or lost a pill in the moment and had to go home and get a new one. I want to most accurately track all my medications. I would also enjoy a widget that shows a little tracker of takens but that’s less of a useage and more of a that would be nice feedback. when I can say one of my medications that I’m supposed to take at the same time as everything else was taken late or not taken, this will get all of my stars. I would also really really enjoy a planning feature where I can say my dose is changing on a specific day. lots of folks have to change their medications, and if I could use epsy to keep track of when these things change instead of my calendar app, that would make the whole experience seamless and totally perfect. I even rec it to my bipolar friends to track their meds. but as someone who takes more than one thing, it’s super annoying to not be able to accurately track without messing with things.

NOT A SEIZURE DETECTION APP
I am rating 5 stars because I do not want to negatively impact the ratings. This is a nice, well made, easy to use app, with good functioning for medication reminders, seizure logging, and helping to centralize and log your medical data. However, I was searching for an actual seizure detection app for my Apple Watch, as I generally do not know if I have had a seizure unless it is witness or I have bitten my tongue. THIS IS NOT A SEIZURE DETECTION APP. THIS APP DOES NOT DETECT CONVULSIVE EVENTS THROUGH AN APPLE WATCH. It would be nice if the developers were able to add this feature, as all the other options are expensive and hard to afford as a student. I will likely keep this app and continue to use it as a medication reminder and MANUAL SEIZURE LOGGING app. Thanks

Great but missing a few critical features
For what it is, Epsy is a well designed and highly functional app. There are two features that make it impossible for us to use. One is a way to log the length of a seizure. This is the single most important data point for tracking my daughter’s epilepsy. The other is custom attributes for seizure logging. For example, we must track what she was doing when she had a seizure (waking up, falling asleep, etc) and how her seizure presented (not just seizure type, but did it involve blinking? arm movement? head turning?). I would love to see the ability to customize the attributes to track. Unfortunately, until these features are available the app won’t work for us. But I hope there’s a time in the future that changes because it’s a wonderful app otherwise!

Fantastic App
I had some problems with the app in the beginning. But the Epsy support is excellent. They quickly got down to it and solved the issue. The app reminds me to take my meds, and I can record auras and side effects to meds. I can also set up the amount of sleep I get through the clock on my phone. Ive been looking more into the app and have found that I can log my activities like exercise, pain or illness, caffeine or food intake, among others. Gives me a sense of security that if I have a seizure, I can go back to see what I did that day that might’ve triggered the seizure. The app was very helpful at my last doctors appointment. All the information was there. And the reading material is helpful also. Enjoy the stories. Thanks Epsy!

New user
I was just recently diagnosed. I learned of this app at about the same time. It has been crucial in helping me take my meds on time. This app is also teaching me a lot about my condition, things I didn’t know. The first day I used the app I read the article about Lil Wayne having epilepsy. I know it sounds corny but that info helped me feel a lil bit better about my situation with epilepsy. I’m usually not a review writer however I wanted to speak up about Epsy. It’s truly being relied upon right now in my life. This is the first time I have used an app that is tied to my health. Epsy has earned my trust & I appreciate this app & what it does. I also appreciate those who created this.

Appreciate it, but
I was very exciting upon finding this and downloading it. However, it doesn’t record seizures. This is what I’m looking for. Other than that, all the other aspects are great and helpful. I too have nocturnal seizures, and I’ve been looking for a few years at how to record myself sleeping. I don’t know how else to get an idea of what’s happening, other than if I wake up with a bitten tongue or fallen of the bed, you know something obvious. I have removed this app for now, but I hope it will continue to be updated and one day have everything needed. Thank you for your effort to help us!

Wonderful app!
I love this app so much. It really helps me look at each week and month to see how my seizures are. For me personally, it’d really help if there was an option to say how bad the seizure was on a 1-10 scale and to be able to see the rating on each day in the calendar view so I don’t have to go into each log to see how it was. I don’t always have the same seizures every day. So the 3 intensity choices are not detail enough for me and I don’t always feel like writing everything out in every log. Other than that, absolutely amazing app and thank you so much to the creators!

Needs a little work
It works for simply logging seizures and meds, although sometimes I get error messages saying something went wrong and a seizure isn’t logged. Sometimes it logs the wrong time. The insights are not very useful because it will randomly log medications as missed, when they were not, and you can’t edit it. It also has a fixed daytime/nighttime data point that cannot be changed, and ends up recording seizures incorrectly day/night. An additional option to indicate whether the seizure was awake or asleep would be good. It also allows you to take notes on the seizure, but when looking back at the timeline it doesn’t indicate which seizures have additional notes and what those notes were, that would be a helpful update as well.

I love it
This app has so many good things about it. I can use it to remind me of my medication’s, and keep track of my seizures. I usually have more than one a week, and because I might go months without seeing my neurologist, it makes it much easier to have a written record of them. I also like the app because it allows the user to record any triggers that may have happened before a seizure occurred. This makes it easier to see if there are any patterns with the seizures. Finally, the app provides a lot of good information about epilepsy in general. I highly recommend it.

Great for Functional Neurological Disorder Too
I don’t have epilepsy but I’ve been having non epileptic seizures as part of my functional neurological disorder. This is a great app for keeping track of my seizures and other neurological symptoms. I am so glad I started using this and imported my data as I can see some trends which help me reduce my seizures per day. It’s also helping me get good information to bring to my neurologist so we can work on the treatment plan with a good knowledge of what’s going on in place.

Thought the app was crashing from new notification sound
I DONT WANT TO SWITCH APPS. I’ve been using this app for about 1yr, and in the past few days it switched from the common tri-tone notifications sound to a “pill box” sound. That’s the only option, and it’s VERY annoying to me. I thought the app was crashing or glitching. I might just switch to using the reminders app instead to get the right sound I want. But I use so many reminders, and with out this purple icon it might go unnoticed since they all look similar. PLEASE at least keep the tri-tone as an option as well as the new one, or make it so you can customize the sounds in your phone settings to anyone’s preference.

Please fix all of the bugs!!!
This app is a good alternative to logging everything by hand, but it’s extremely buggy and the user interface looks like it’s straight out of 2012. Please developers, update the app and fix all of the bugs. It runs extremely slow as well. All of the annoying articles cluttering up the UI is also quite annoying, and should just be under a single tab. Update: app is still abysmally slow and never getting updated. Really annoying that you can’t read your notes from the insights tab. The articles cluttering all of the useful information is so incredibly stupid when they could all be compiled to one tab. I wish the developers would put some work into this.

Stay away if you value your time.
I’ll make this simple. First off you have to create an account before you can do anything. Secondly you are prompted to answer multiple questions for a profile and are nagged with an in app badge until certain ones are answered. What got me was the question on my next appointment. Since I don’t have one scheduled I couldn’t make that go away. Finally, and this is the biggie, there is an in-app badge nagging the user to read almost 60 built in articles with no option to mark them as read. I don’t have the time or patience to open them all up much less read them. They have a feedback option and technical support got my account deleted upon request. That is the only positive out of my experience.

Just got worse
I’ve used this app since early this year to obviously keep track of my medication as this USED TO BE the best app for that. Ever since the last update, the app only displays that it’s gathering information and will be ready soon. It never gathers the information though. So now am not getting notifications about taking my pills, but I cannot log when I take it either. Very disappointed in the developers for creating an update that essentially makes the app unusable. And for a side note, deleting the app and reinstalling, shutting off phone and powering it back on, hard resetting device, and a full restore of the device did not help. Across 3 phones this app just does not work. Get it together.

Major logging issues
I have been using Epsy for months and it’s been pretty good in general, but 99% of the time, it says I do not record or take my medications - when in reality I take them and precisely when I have scheduled to take them / log it exactly when I take them. It’s really frustrating because in the event I do have a seizure and I record it, it makes it seem as if it’s because I don’t take my medications correctly (if it even thinks I take them at all). It really messes with my stats and my family’s information on my seizures. It’s not even just a few days that it’s done this - it’s very nearly every single day no matter what.

Epy App
This app is a great tracker to help me log my medication that I take twice a day. It reminds me in the morning and evening. I can go back in and log the medication if I forget to log it the night before or the morning. When I had a seizure I was able to see that I had a pattern of missing all my evening medication for 5 days in a row. No kore missed medication for me after seeing that pattern. I shared that information with my doctor at the last appointment and he loved the app too.

Great app, but would love a minor calendar change!
This app has helped me check my progress so much, and makes it a lot easier to talk to my doctors! One thing that would be slightly helpful is adding an icon for auras (similar to the seizure icons) to track on the calendar! It gets a bit tedious to try to find my auras if I’m discussing them and cannot just look at the full-view calendar. Thank you so much for making such a great app!!!

Epsy is The Best
I love this app. Everything in one place to log everything about what is happening with one’s epilepsy. The reminders are the best because of my memory issues and it keeps me on track with taking my meds twice a day. This is my FOREVER epilepsy app. Thank you so much for your care and concern for those with epilepsy. It’s nice to know that others are helping make our lives easier. God bless you all.

Can I seriously only see two months?
Ok for real though, did I just completely waste an hour and a half logging all my seizures for the past YEAR in order to try and identify patterns, only to discover that you can only even look at three months? And really it’s more like only two months, since it shows the current month, the previous month and the next month (which hasn’t happened yet so obviously I wouldn’t have any seizures to record then!) So frustrating!!! What’s the use?! Oh and this is all AFTER I created a profile filled with personal info. I had high hopes for this app, especially since the reviews were good. But sadly, just a disappointing waste of time.

I love this app so much. I have a lot of trouble remembering to log my seizures and i have to click like, 2 buttons to log a seizure on this, so i’ve been able to log almost all my seizures lately. also the medication reminder???? god tier. not to mention the doctor’s report so you can just print everything out and show your doctor your seizure chart

Loving it so far, just one suggestion!
Great app with a LOT of functionality, I look forward to using it in my ongoing epilepsy care. I wish there were a way to add more than one type of seizure though! My neurologist has told me that what I call “auras” are actually a type of seizure. I definitely do not mind logging them as auras rather than seizures, but I would like the option to have both types of seizures in my profile. All in all though, it seems to be a great app.

Buggy after early March 2022update
The interface is great and very easy to use, but I’ve had nothing but problems after the update at the end of March. It’s sad that when I need to log my son’s seizures I’ve got a buggy app but my apps for things like music and games work fine. We’re very dependent on this app to share medication info with caregivers and symptoms with the neurologist so the frustration level can be high. When it comes to health-related apps I wish developers would remember there are real people on the other side who are depending on this information.

So helpful!!!
I have epilepsy and another form of seizures and Epsy makes it some much better to track everything. I can track and log my seizures faster and more accurate with it and I can track my medicine. When I developed epilepsy, I had some memory issues and I can check to see if I took my medicine already or not. I already recommend this app to others.

All Data Missing
With the most recent update ALL of my data since I’ve been using the app has completely disappeared. I’ve been tracking my seizures and med intake since my seizures began when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor last April. It’s been even more important to track them since having the tumor removed in August. Now I have NO data to show my neurosurgeon when I follow-up next month. I guess this is what you get for relying on technology for something so important. Will never rely on this app again. Also previous to this the insights and learn page never once loaded and worked.

Love the app but wouldn’t mind a few tweaks.
I really like using this app to track our daughters seizures. A few things hope will be added to this. One is the ability to add videos of seizures so they can be easily seen by my daughters healthcare team. The other would to have more nuances for the medication section and maybe a keto tracking section. :)

Fantastic App
This app is a must for anyone with epilepsy. The multitude of features, and access to helpful and inspiring articles are just a few things I love. I’ve, from time to time, had issues remembering the set times I have for taking anti-seizure medication. However, I’ve not missed a single one in the past months and that’s undoubtedly a testament to the app and the people who brought it into being.

Deleting stuff
This has been working amazingly for me but not to long ago the app started to just delete what I wrote down, like now it got rid of the meds I put on there for it to remind me to take I’ve already refilled it for what meds I take but then it deleted it again, and now looking back on my history I can’t see anything I have put down in there past a week?

It’s no longer showing meds
I’ve been using this to monitor my toddlers meds and seizures. Since the update 13th ago all of the data is lost and it no longer allows me to log that his meds were taken. Also, about an hour before his med time there is a notification that shows up which is confusing because I can’t turn that one off. It’s not a medication reminder but I’m multiple occasions I’ve accidentally given him his meds too early because of this. There should be a setting for what type of notifications you can receive.

But so far so good no problems with this app. But I’m still learning the app. So I will definitely give it 5 stars.

Using the Data
Tracking my seizures, auras and general health is extremely helpful. I have not figured out how to print out this valuable information with dates and descriptions of events but I’m sure there must be a way. This tracking data is the perfect written record that can replace a diary. Please kindly let me know how to print the data.

So helpful!
Just an amazing app! Love this for helping to track my seizure activity and triggers. It’s been so helpful to keep an eye on frequency and patterns that I hadn’t noticed before. My only suggestion is adding custom triggers. I want to be able to add things that aren’t listed like “Over Exertion” or something. It would be so helpful as some of us have different triggers, limits, or just unusual lifestyles as we try to cope. Thanks!

Great app. Easy to look at first thing in the morning. I tried keeping track of my medication on my regular calendar but it was so clumsy. Issues with the last several updates
Every time your app updates there’s always a problem; this time it’s with all previous logged seizures. I can’t see the type anymore it’s just listed as ‘seizure’ any new one I Add stays the same. Previous ones don’t. Other than that the app is pretty good. I would just like to see the seizures I’ve had In the past to track the kinds I’m still having regularly.

I have been happily using this app whilst in Switzerland with nary a problem until they updated the app. My husband’s data was wiped out and not recoverable. They tell me it’s because the app isn’t supposed to be used outside of the USA. No one told me this when I started using this app and had questions. I even self-identified as a non- USA user. My problem is the insights are never accurate, saying we have missed doses that I have clearly logged so they do no good for my kids doctor and half the time seizures I’ve logged don’t show up for several hours which makes it hard to keep track of duration between seizures.
