LITERALLY THE BEST THING EVER
I am allergic to everything under the sun and struggle so much to eat cleanly cause I always think I’m doing it and then *BAM* allergic reaction. I found this app on tiktok and followed along in the creation process and then downloaded it as soon as possible and lemme tell you it’s amazing. The scan feature? Wonderful. The amount of food? Wonderful. Like an all around 10/10 app. I’ve been able to find so many things I can eat now and it helps so much. I think most people focus on things they “can’t” eat and I think it’s really beneficial that this app shows you only what you “can” eat. In an unexpected feature, it can have great comedic effect sometimes. For example, I am heavily allergic to sunflower to the point where I can’t have anything even slightly made with sunflower oil. I marked it off, along with my other severe allergens, as a “absolutely not” allergen and then wanted to see what kinds of chips I could eat cause I know a lot are made with sunflower oil. I put “chips” in the search bar, no filters or anything on, and the results included a raw potato, a raw carrot, and dried fruit. This was hilarious to me at the time cause I didn’t realize how much stuff I had been eating that I shouldn’t have. Anyways, I hope the team behind this app are blessed forever cause this is life changing for people with allergies.

A comfort and a game changer
I couldn’t say enough good things about how much this app has helped my physical and, more importantly, mental health. As someone with zero experience in eliminating certain foods from my diet, you can imagine how paralyzing a simple trip to the grocery store became after being hospitalized with anaphylaxis and not knowing what caused it. In response to this, I went on a full blown elimination diet to bring things back to basics, but I really had no idea what to look for on food labels to help keep myself safe and I was truly terrified. Then I found this app. Now when I go shopping, I feel empowered and prepared. The barcode scanner is excellent in helping make on the fly decisions about what I can eat. Ordering groceries online has become a breeze thanks to the ease of searching different brands, items, etc. I would highly recommend this app for anyone with food sensitivities, allergies, or dietary preferences. There are literally thousands of ingredients and dietary preferences to choose from, so if there’s something you can’t/don’t eat, I can assure you that you will be able to find it and mark it to be avoided. I’d like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the developers and all those involved with this app. It’s been a life changer for me. I can’t thank you all enough.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I have struggled with IBS for almost my entire twenty years of life, and the sheer amount of information that exists out there about foods/fodmaps/and other triggers are simply mind boggling. Despite all the research and googling that I have mind numblingly completed over the years, it has still proved difficult to truly store all that information in my brain and use it when looking over ingredients on the daily. This app is an ABSOLUTE GODSEND and I cannot recommend it enough. It works amazingly, is so easy to use, scans things super quickly and allows you to put in so many different things (I’ve got allergies, intolerances, and OAS [yay me, right!]). And the fact that it’s freeeee, say less. Nothing free ever seems to work this well, or just when it seems like it is you suddenly need to upgrade to the paid version. It feels like the people who made this app actually care about helping people and actually understand the problems they’re creating solutions for, and are so cool to reach out to about stuff like new products and stores! Overall freaking love this app and cannot say how much of an impact this has had on my daily life and how much it has eased a lifelong struggle of mine. THANK YOU!!!

I will always recommend this app!
As a human with a lot of allergies, getting another diagnosis was a bit of a challenge due to the number of restrictions I needed to apply. This app was recommended to me on Reddit, and I was able to share it with my allergist and immunologist so that they can let their other patients know about it! This app lets me enter anything and everything related to my specific allergens, and rate them as green, yellow, or red like a stoplight. It also allows me to scan the barcode on food items at the grocery store to determine quickly whether I can have it or not. I love adding new food items to the app when I notice they aren’t listed, and it’s super easy to pull out my phone and scan something while I’m in the store. I like that I can see my scan history, so I can kind of make a list of things I know are okay for me and turn it into a little staple grocery list! This has been a game changer for me, and I really look forward to seeing what improvements are made in the future!

Needs lots of improvement but a great idea!
I did a trial of Fig and really wanted to enjoy and use this app, but the set up was really hard, and I didn’t realize once you set it up you couldn’t edit your list without resetting the ENTIRE list of ingredients. I am not allergic to most foods but I try very hard to avoid palm oil, cane sugar, soybean oil, and high fructose corn syrup. So I really appreciated that I could eliminate these items. After spending nearly an hour going through all the foods, I figured I could just pick the foods I wanted to avoid and get started. However when my only returns were nuts and olive oil on my grocery list, I tried to edit my ingredients which the app then prompted me to reset my entire list. I had to go through it all over again. This needs to be fixed so that I can edit what I need without having to go through the entire list (again, it took over an hour to go through the first time). And if this is already a feature, you made it extremely difficult for me to change or find how to change. If it’s not easy for me, it’s not easy for everyone. If it’s not easy for everyone, many people won’t use it. I cancelled my subscription after three days.

This is what I’ve been looking for
I can’t say enough good things about this app. It is literally a life saver. I just found it today and I’ve been running around scanning everything and searching for new products all day long. The fact that it’s free is amazing. I was expecting to get hit with that “7 day free trial” screen you always get with these types of apps and, to my surprise, it never came! I’ve recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and I have IBS, so I have multiple dietary restrictions and it can be a bit daunting to try to find new things I am able to eat. With this app we are able to customize our food restrictions which allows us to see a list of our “green” foods - foods that are clear of our selected restrictions - which makes finding and choosing new foods much easier. The search function allows you to refine by store so you can find products that more likely to be at a store near you. I have found a few products that are near me that I’d never even heard of that I’m excited to try! There are still a few hiccups being worked out - some of the products listed have incorrect ingredients - but you can easily submit a ticket to have them fixed. I received replies back to my suggestions the same day - some of them within minutes. I can honestly say I love this app, its got amazing potential and is being improved on all the time. I’m excited to see how much easier meal planning is now!

Life saver
I have an autoimmune deficiency and along with that I’m hyper allergenic basically. My skin usually breaks out when I eat what I’m not supposed to but I can’t really avoid everything I’m allergic to, or at least I thought. 3 days ago I almost died from a selfish allergy. I was unaware that my health and immunity had been decreasing and that I seriously needed to change my diet. I haven’t been eating recently and when I do its bad. My lips swell and my skin breaks out in hives. I honestly had given up until I found this ad on my instagram. Some apps have a few allergies but not all of them. I am so so so thankful for this. I’ve been so weak from lack of nutrients that I would rather suffer than read the back of every box in the store just to make sure something in it won’t send me to the ER. This apps made it so convenient. I cried seeing that there were foods I could actually eat after putting in my 50+ allergies. I highly recommend this app.

Clear Usability
My family enjoys a variety of international cuisines. That said, some of the foods have not been incorporated into the app… yet! One thing I like is that if the product is not in the current database, you can add it. On another app I use, I have not seen the ability to add products the app doesn’t recognize. One bit of confusion is that a couple foods I have that have the GF labeling, show in this app as having wheat, not a yellow warning, but a red flag. As a person who has to avoid gluten, this would cause me concern… why is it listed as GF, but the app blatantly puts up a red flag “wheat” warning? Is there a way to indicate that products marked GF are in fact GF per the label? Today is just my first day with this app, so I am taking FULL advantage of scanning everything I can in my kitchen, while I have the unlimited use for one day. I am out of work currently, so the Fig+ subscription is not something I can afford at this time, but I am looking forward to seeing how the free version of the app works for me.

Amazing!
This app is absolutely amazing, hands down the most useful tool I've got at my disposal. Why? Because everyone in my family and life has obscure and hard to remember allergies/food intolerances and a few of them require epipens or a bunch of benadryl when they encounter them. So, a lifesaver!! But that isn't just why I love this app! Another reason is that I can add and remove allergens as I need. And I also love that the app doesn't give me a flat "you can't have this" with no other details, it goes in depth about what specific allergens it might be hitting and gives more info than I'd expect. Some other cool things is it's intuitive, if I put in I'm allergic to strawberries it knows to go find other strawberry things and let me know to avoid them (something I may even miss). There's also pictures of the items so there's no doubt if I've got the right thing or not. Just so much I love about this app, it really is wonderful.

Terrible Customer Service, Not free
The owners/developers of this App have created numerous Facebook pages, disguised as store-branded “gluten free” or allergy friendly pages. This interest in profiting from people’s dietary needs while concealing the relationship is extremely questionable. I recently found out about this affiliation after being a member of the Gluten Free Trader Joe’s Facebook page for more than a year. One of the admin/employees/owners asked how the team could be more transparent. I pointed out that the use of an “About” tab or intro would suffice vs hiding it behind a title you don’t even know you can click on to find important information. One of the admins, Hely, is extremely defensive, has told me I can leave, has diverted my kind and gentle suggestions/questions, and can be found frequently in posts refusing constructive criticism. This “free app with in-app purchases” is not free at all. There is a free 7 day trial, after which you are expected to pay $40/year for questionable information on allergens. No thanks. I want no piece of that. What a gross business model with at least one really terrible admin/owner/employee who runs rampant over these affiliated Facebook pages.

Incredibly helpful!
Last year, I started experiencing GI issues related to chronic illness. Not only was this app was a complete game changer in helping me identify triggers and figuring out what food/pre-packages food I was consistently able to eat while being on different elimination diets to further help me figure out ingredient triggers. The low histamine and nickel allergy information was especially helpful for me, as it helped me identify triggers I (and some of my healthcare professionals) was completely unaware of! The scanning feature was an absolute lifesaver, as I was often too overwhelmed to read through ingredient lists to help me identify triggers while shopping. I also love the additional information that comes up when restricted items are identified; it helped me make informed choices when I was reintroducing food. I saw some past reviews mentioning UI issues, which must have been fixed, as I never encountered any.

This app made my life bearable again!
After years of different doctors and tests and trial and error, finding out what I was allergic to, what I had no tolerance for, and what I could no longer digest limited my choices to such a degree that I sank into a depression and didn’t even want to eat the 2 or 3 choices I thought were available to me. When I heard of the FIG app and started using it, it opened up a world of possibilities and made my choices so easy I no longer had to rack my brain or drag pills along with me to restaurants. It makes grocery shopping so easy as it goes by brand and food type. It identifies restaurants and foods served and also just lists individual foods. There’s also an adjoining group on fb to help with support and questions. This app has been a lifesaver. I wish my Gastro doc had suggested it to me years ago. I recommend this app to anyone needing help in their dietary restriction journey.

Decent when it works, but often mediocre performance.
This app was great at first, with so many promises of growth. It’s grown little to none since then, price has went up, and if anything is more buggy. That’s the disappointment. It’s basic functionality is pretty neat and can be a big help if it had the item AND works. But it just doesn’t grow: - Zero restaurant have been added in over a year. -App is constantly updated which sounds great but you can’t use it if it isn’t up to date -Scanner acts up regularly -Responses from developers are always cheerleading promises but no delivery. I really want to love this app, I do. But I find very time I get excited to use it, and start, I end up putting it back down. This has the potential to be one of the worlds best apps for food issues, literally. But lack of change, contains bugs, & price hikes have overwhelmed the app. I just don’t understand why you can’t just follow through and make this what it was supposed to be, what it promised to be, and continue break new ground. It’s like their holding on to just stay afloat, but making money doing it. What gives? Just do what you say you’re going to do. Such a shame because it looks like a great app - then after a year you realize nothing much has changed, and it’s stagnant. It’s become mediocre, however it’s only one of a few that appeal to such diverse diets. Give it a try but don’t have high hopes, it’s just ok. What it gets right - it nails, & what it fails at - it bombs.

New, but loving it.
I am new to this app, as I have just recently needed to go on a dairy free diet. I don’t know much about the app yet, however I have learned this app is extremely helpful. I love that you can scan barcodes of certain foods and it will tell you if it’s red flag no you cannot eat, yellow flake, it may contain your allergen, or green flake it’s good to go. There are so many ingredients I don’t understand the name of or what they mean so it’s helpful with this app letting also like that you can pick from a giant red flag no you cannot eat, yellow flake, it may contain your allergen, or green flake it’s good to go. There are so many ingredients I don’t understand the name of or what they mean so it’s helpful with this app letting me know for sure. I also like that you can pick up from a giant list of food allergens or irritants or intolerances and it will give you meal ideas, food ideas and recipes for things. So far this app seems great.

Who do we give the awards to?
No, but seriously, can we come up with some awards for the Fig Team? This app is ✨life-changing✨. In the past two years my list of food intolerances went from 0 to about 200 due to the onset of several autoimmune diseases/disorders. With Fig I was able to easily enter in my specific dietary restrictions, and now when I’m doubt at the grocery I can quickly scan products and easily determine if it’s ok for me to eat. The Fig app has saved me from many a tummy ache (and migraine, and bloating, and other significantly less pleasant reactions to food), but it has also saved me time at the store. No longer to have have to mull over tiny ingredient lists, and run through the list on my phone of all the things I don’t eat. Instead I scan I can check for flagged ingredients and make a decision. Thank you Fig Team for helping us save time, and save our tummies.

New person to food allergy management
Fig has helped me avoid so many foods that I didn’t realize we’re making me sick. I recently got a food allergy diagnosis and this app has been my biggest tool trying to navigate my new dietary restrictions. I have a soy and dairy allergy and even some oddball ones like tomatoes to name a few, those ingredients are in just about everything. Being new to this I don’t know all of the names that labels could be hiding these ingredients in and fig let’s me know when they’re sneakily hidden behind an ingredient. I highly recommend this for anyone new to food allergies or even with dietary restrictions because they have options for vegetarians, vegans, paleo and low fodmap which is amazing. I do wish they had a recipes tab or something but either way it’s been fantastic for scanning products and I have yet to come across something that stumps the app.

I’m so grateful for this app. We knew nothing of allergies, may contain, shared lines, the hundreds of names for a simple ingredient before 2015 when our first born was diagnosed with severe anaphylaxis to certain foods, our second born soon followed suit and then out of the blue my husband. They all share some allergies and have some unique just to them. I don’t remember how I found Fig, may have been an instagram post but I figured I’d give it a try. It’s a godsend! It tells you may contains, where a certain ingredient can be derived from (helpful with corn and dairy!) and if the product itself has questionable ingredients. Thank you so much for this app. You’re doing great work for the allergy community! I have found foods that aren’t on the app but I do submit to be added when I can to help other families. But it’s such a huge help to this overwhelmed allergy mama!

Amazing!
I was using the free version of this app and then after waiting a while was able to apply to get a “scholarship” to access all of the wonderful features. Like many here have said not only is it stressful to try and figure out what different foods I can not eat, but the more testing seems to further limit what I can eat. I am celiac and now low fodmap has been suggested in addition to many food sensitivities. Since I seems to have ever changing lists I am ever so grateful for the people who have both the wisdom and the caring to design this app for others to use! Thank you ever so much!! I have physical limitations, make it difficult for me to shop and so do a lot of my shopping via Instantcart and can offer not scan the food & am so grateful that I can’t enter so many foods, and find answers!

Best app to date
I have always struggled with finding foods that fit my dietary restrictions but once my sister developed a gluten allergy, buying groceries became virtually impossible until one day I came across Fig. Fig allows you to enter all of your restrictions into a profile and have multiple profiles for multiple people. You go shopping and scan the barcode on the item you’re looking at and Fig will let you know if any ingredients are going to be harmful to your dietary restrictions even if they aren’t written on the package. With Fig we have been able to cut our shopping time down since we no longer have to search the store for appropriate foods, we just scan as we go and it’s amazing. I would 1000% recommend this app for anyone with even the slightest dietary restriction.

Disappointed but not surprised
I was recently diagnosed with Hashimotos and learned gluten makes it worse. When I saw this app I was excited because wow I can search food for my intolerance!? I can’t wait. I quickly downloaded the app only to be met with disappointment after the create an account. I find it unjust and unfair that you guys would profit off of who have intolerances, allergies, etc. Obviously I know you have to pay for an app to be here and other stuff but for an app made for those of us who have such allergies it should be free to access which places offer our options. If you really wanted people to pay you could’ve made like finding stores or restaurants near you an exclusive upgrade. Or even add an option to donate. With that being said, it’s cool even if you don’t pay for the membership you can still somewhat access some options. No offense full offense but I hope another person makes this app but free.

Thank you.
I had given up completely on avoiding all my sensitivities. For 8 freaking years, including during college and trying to date and eat out like a “normal person” I had to struggle with my stupid sensitivities to corn (and all derivatives), black pepper, coconut, and so many more. It felt impossible because I would constantly check ingredients, felt difficult at restaurants, and all just to avoid constipation, nausea, stomach pain, and inflammation throughout my body. I gave up because I felt alone and overwhelmed. The fact that this app exists makes me feel not alone. And maybe I can actually avoid all of my triggers now. I feel a little more like a “normal person” and I am so grateful that this app exists to give me a chance at a healthy life again. Thank you so much.

Trailblazing technology!
As someone diagnosed with MCAS, food has become an area of immense anxiety. Between uncertainty of what might change on the day, having to parse out long ingredient lists, and offending ingredients hidden under pseudonyms, trying to eat anything outside of single ingredient staples is a major stress. Fig changes all of that- it recognizes those hidden ingredients and translates the unfamiliar terms into language I can comprehend. It highlights potential and certain trigger foods in bold red so I don’t have to scan those lists and second guess my own conclusions. It even makes eating out easier with its new restaurant feature- I can simply look up menus and navigate them with ease! This app has pioneered a positive change in the midst of my limiting diagnosis, and I am endlessly thankful!

So, first of all, this is a game changer. 10/10, I am recommending this to everyone I know with dietary issues. That being said, I have two recommendations? 1. I like how for salt and sugar, we have the option to limit intake, not just avoid it. I wish we had the option for basically all diets/allergies/avoidances? For example, I’m just on the edge of lactose intolerance. But if I want to set dairy options to “limited”, I have to do so manually for every possible ingredient. 2. It would be nice to be able to save multiple profiles on one account. I don’t have too many dietary restrictions, but my mom has a whole bunch. It would be nice to have a separate FIG list for her, so that if she asks me to pick up something specifically for her, I have a separate filter for her.

Makes my life so much easier
I can’t say enough good things about this app. The developers really get food allergies. For example, I can’t have soy protein, but I am usually ok with some soy lecithin, but I do want to know if it’s in what I’m eating: there’s a setting for that! I quickly came to trust Fig to flag ingredients of concern. So easy to use so that I am now in the habit of scanning things I buy all the time to make sure the formulations haven’t changed. I am haunted by the time I was using Fig in a Trader Joe’s and the pop up “are you enjoying the app?” message came up and I needed it to go away fast so I just pressed something (wasn’t wearing my glasses, because using fig, I no longer need them to read labels!) I’m afraid I might have hit “no” which is absolutely not the case.

Incredible
This app genuinely makes my life so much easier. It has everyone allergy you can imagine and make everything so simple and straight forward. I have never used an app with so many allergies and diets and this one put all the other to shame. I cannot recommend this enough even if you have one allergy. As like a little thing adding restaurant chains would be so nice, like Starbucks and Cava so it is easier to access those ingredients list and a little safer. Like I have an oil allergy so knowing what oils are most commonly used for like fries would be amazing because the kitchen staff doesn't always know and it can be a bit of a nightmare. Not a criticism just something that maybe in the future could be really nice to have.

Love this
I downloaded 3 different IBS apps and deleted two within the first day because this had everything I needed and more. It honestly made doing the low fodmap diet, while also being lactose intolerant so much more manageable!! You can check specific ingredients, scan barcodes and even check what’s available in specific stores. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t have my local supermarkets (which are only found in Hawai’i) and now I’m visiting Europe a lot of the barcodes say ‘product not found’… but that’s only because I’ve become so dependent on this app and for a relatively new startup I think they’ve done an amazing job and hope they can continue to expand! Would highly recommend.

The best app ever
Honestly, I have not necessarily found a use for this app because I don’t have food sensitivity. But I have a lot of family that does! They have loved it. I’ve been watching their TikToks about the app and the creator is so responsive!! He has a genuine passion for helping. I guarantee if you can’t find what you need in this app, you can message him on socials and he will do anything he can to find a solution or improve the app. I’ve never seen anything like this. My cousin’s baby has some very specific allergies so she has to eat a specific diet while breast feeding. This has helped her add food back into her diet and she’s looking forward to using it to help find stuff for her baby to eat! Absolutely amazing work here 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Saved My Life
I am fructan and fructose intolerant as well as suffer from GERD. Many times I’ve cried not knowing how to stop the pain I felt that no one could understand and struggled with what I could even eat. I found this app through Monash. This app was a life saver. It saved me the embarrassment of shopping for hours looking at labels, my husband didn’t know how to help me. This app made it so easy with the brands, the stores just being able to type what I can eat and it show me if I can or cannot. This app has been a relief to my life, took away so much stress and I recommend this to everyone. I cannot wait until the restaurant portion goes live and as more things get added. Thank you FIG for saving my life.

Peanut/tree nut/legume allergy
This app works great so far. I love how when I put down legume as a sensitivity, it listed everything I knew I couldn’t eat and more small unimportant things. However it does list things that don’t really match. For example it flagged coconut when I said I had a tree nut allergy, and coconut is not a nut (it’s a fruit/seed thing). It’s a common misconception so I kind of understand. Also, if something doesn’t list an allergen statement, it automatically matches your fig. It recommended to me a jar of peanut butter, which is clearly not safe for me. After checking, there was no allergen statement so it wasn’t flagged for peanuts. Other than those 2 things the app is incredibly accurate and user-friendly.

Great but….
It would be helpful to show nutritional info for scanned foods and the ability to define personal macronutrient targets (or at least just have general recommended guidelines). For example, this app is showing me that orange juice and dried fruit are “within my fig” because they don’t have any *added* sugar or any of the other ingredients I avoid. However, both of those foods contain massive amounts of *natural* sugar which is processed in the body the same way. The same applies to high fat foods like nuts, oxidatively stable oils, and certain meats. These foods may be free of inflammation-causing ingredients (I.e. seed oils, sugars, or preservatives) which would “fit within my fig” but still contain large amounts of fat that would exceed my macronutrient targets. This makes it a cumbersome 2-step process, where first I have to scan foods in the fig app, then I have to scan foods in my macronutrient tracking app to make sure it fits within my diet. FIG already has a massive database of ingredients, allergens, and additives for scanned foods, which is amazing. Still, the app would be much more well-rounded if it also pulled in the nutritional information. This feature would CRUSH all other macronutrient apps and make FIG the only app that truly does it all.

This app is a lifesaver!!
I discovered FIG after developing allergies to dairy and gluten over the past year. This app has been a lifesaver for me !!! Before FIG I kept having reactions to foods that I didn’t realize contained dairy and gluten so I was struggling soooo much! FIG takes the guess work out of food shopping and saves me from having to try to read every food label in the aisles of a grocery store! You plug in your allergies when you first register for the app and then you are able to quickly scan labels in the grocery store! I also use fig from home when I’m working on my grocery list and I am able to compare which grocery store carries which product! It’s amazing !!

Actually, kind of good
When I first got this app, I imagined it would be amazing. And yes, it was. The only thing that I don’t really love is that you only get five stats for a month has on with the peanut Trina fish allergy that’s very severe. I need that most of the time and when I have Mi ordering some kind of food at a restaurant I need to be able to know what’s in the food and I could just ask them to bring out the sauces but it might take me a few minutes to search it up that’s why I believe that you guys should I just a few more scans per month as a People has very severe allergies. It might be useful thank you and if that can’t happen it’s OK. By the way, this was done with her voice to text so sorry if there’s any in corrections

Finally!!!
This is the app of my dreams!!! I’m new to my diet restrictions (plant-based *including honey*, whole food) and Fig is really making the transition a breeze. I LOVE how customizable it is, I essentially follow a vegan diet but include honey (Heath reasons not moral) so I love that I can select a vegan diet but edit my “safe” foods to include honey!! I also adore the barcode scanner, BIGGEST time saver EVER especially when grocery shopping. I ALSO love that it still presents you food that MAY fit into your diet, but warns you. That way you can make the final decision on wether or not to include that ingredient/food in your diet. All around this app is amazing, I’m really excited to keep finding food with Fig and can’t wait to see how they improve/grow!!

Absolutely get this app!
This app is AWESOME. I saw an IG Reel from one of the creators of it, and knew we needed to try it for my husband’s celiac disease. We only recently found out about his diagnosis, so this app has been extra handy and easy to use. I was also very impressed by how many options for allergens they have listed, so your Fig can perfectly match what you and your family need. It’s also been awesome to recommend this app to family members making dinner when we visit, as they don’t always know exactly what ingredients to avoid! I know this app is fairly new, so we really look forward to watching it continue to grow and be able to help more and more people :)

I love FIG!
I've always had a complicated relationship with food because I would feel sick after eating. FIG has allowed me choose foods that are going to make me feel happy and healthy because I know exactly what I'm eating. I used to stand in the middle of grocery aisles trying to decide whether I should buy something, not knowing if it would disagree with me. I now immediately pull out my FIG and I'm much more confident. Finally, I love the ease of use. I recently discovered I have an allergy i was previously aware of, and it took about two minutes to add it to my FIG and check what ingredients were affected. I've recommended FIG to all my fellow food allergy and sensitivity friends!

Super helpful app!
This app has taken so much stress out of beginning the low-FODMAP diet. I’ve been able to scan what’s in my kitchen to set aside the safe foods, and it’s helped me evaluate products before I go to the grocery store. I really appreciate how this app teaches about why certain ingredients are rated as they are. I had a question and received a prompt and very respectful reply. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again with any further questions. As an aside, it’s also been really helpful for me to exclude foods that contain other ingredients that don’t agree with me. The Monash app is great for learning safe serving sizes of unprocessed foods, but this app is indispensable for figuring out American products.

Pay wall (great app) Pharma bro business model
I have several friends that have dietary restrictions that depend on the app to help them purchase foods that are safe for them at the stores they go to I also understand the necessity to generate income to further the research needed to find out if these items are safe but I feel anyone who had the app before you made your plus version should be grandfathered in and not have to pay for the plus account as this is the only reliable app that takes the time to vet each item and 5 scans a month is not enough for an app that is now asking 40 to 60 dollars a year for unlimited scans

Have to pay for features previously offered free??
I’ve used Fig for almost a year now. I’ve recommended it to family and friends who all have foods to avoid. Suddenly it was telling me I can only scan five items a month and I can’t see what’s available at my local stores. I have so many foods to avoid I can’t remember the names of all the food additives that trigger migraines. I have to avoid all dyes, many additives, many types of and artificial sugars. My food options are extremely limited especially when I’m traveling. This app provided so much stability and lessened my anxiety around food shopping. That’s now been replaced with grocery trips taking so much longer and more frustration all for a profit. I’d understand using an ad banner or something to get more revenue. I’m sick and tired of companies trying to profit off of those of us who have dietary needs.

Great for when I’m on-the-go!
I recently moved to a new city and had to get use to new grocery stores with new products. The Fig app made it so easy for me to scan foods when grocery shopping and I could even search for foods available at the specific stores around me. It is a life saver! This app is also perfect for when I am on-the-go and trying to pick up snacks from random corner stores and bodegas. I travel a lot and, in the past, spent a lot of time and energy trying to find foods that work for me. Now, I can easily scan new foods and get all the information I need in a few seconds. I’m much less anxious about traveling now :)

I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS APP
I hate using any other app to navigate my dietary restrictions because other apps demonize fat, calories and carbs. I LOVE that this app loves food!!! They tell me what I actually need to know and I LOVE that the calories aren’t shown - just ingredients. I love love love the low fod map option and I even got the meals based on one of their ads lol. overall 10/10. I can tell the people who designed this knew what they were doing. this feels like an app that was created by people with tummy issues for people with tummy issues. I never thought I would find an app that helped me without promoting diet culture and shaming fun foods. Thank you for this app 🫶

Best App For Allergies Hands Down!!
I absolutely love this app! I got lucky and found it one day and use it every time I go grocery shopping or anywhere I have to buy food for my little boy. I have a 7yr old who we barely found out in Jan of this year is allergic to a lot of different things and before the app I was having to literally read every ingredient on anything I was giving him and now all I have to do is scan it and it sorts it for me and tells me what allergy it is. It’s a total life saver for sure! Especially for our little boy! 💖 Thank you again for designing such a wonderful and helpful app for people like my son!! 💖🙏🏻

Money grab
I used to love this app and I had recommended it to several other people. It was a one time $40 fee to and you could use it on multiple phones. I thought it was worth the money. Imagine my surprise when I go to use the app today and they now say I’m on a “free” version (that doesn’t include the things I originally paid for). Last time I checked $40 wasn’t “free” and I wouldn’t have signed up and paid any money if I had known it would become a subscription service. Now you have to pay another $50 yearly if I you want more than 5 scans a month and clearly they feel like they can change the pricing anytime so there’s no guarantee that price won’t go up in the future. There are plenty of other apps (way cheaper) that won’t change their pricing on you once you’ve downloaded and learned to use the app.

Amazing New App!
As a person with several different food allergies and sensitivities, I am extremely impressed with this app. It enables me to very accurately personalize my dietary needs, and locate safe foods, scan foods, maintain store-specific lists, in my neighborhood stores and more. Not only that, I can use it for food shopping in other U.S. cities when we travel. The tech team is very responsive, and has constructed ways to give feedback within the app itself, as well as an online Facebook presence. It’s no exaggeration to say that I’m shopping better, eating more variety, and enjoying food so much better after finding this amazing tool.

Its worth it!
I just recently was diagnosed with several food allergies, and this app helped me find out all the masked food label ingredients that could harm my body! For example, glucose is derived from corn which I’m allergic to. The reviews stating that the app isn't worth it because you still have to read the label anyway are ridiculous. We have to take responsibility for our health as individuals, and we should be reading the labels no matter what. An app isn’t going to spoon feed you your health info. This app is great for general information and very optimistic being formatted to show you options for what you CAN eat first!!

A life saver App
I am loving this App so far. After having a baby, I am starting to be more health conscious and eating clean and healthy. This app helped with just that. It has been an eye opening for me. Because I now know there are some food I used to eat that I shouldn’t be eating based on my diet restriction I have put in the App. Thank you Fig for allowing me to know what’s in the food I’m eating. Ooh 1 suggestion: Can you add more food from Costco? I eat food bought from Costco a lot but when I scan them, it says product not found. I have added some of these products for you to add in your app. I hope that’s helpful for you.

An Absolute Blessing!
My daughter was recently diagnosed with a very rare allergy to Bakers yeast, which is shockingly in EVERYTHING. This combined with her allergy to cow’s milk, cashews and pistachios has made finding foods she can eat a full time job. My nurse friend told me about this app. It has been an absolute life saver. I love that I can enter all of her allergens, search products and the app very simply tells me whether she can have it or not, as well as lists all the ingredients. The restaurant portion has been incredible, as well. She can’t eat out much but it has helped us locate the few items she can have. Thank you thank you thank you!

Histamine intolerance
I have a histamine intolerance and it’s is SO hard to find food or go through ingredient labels to see if I can eat/drink something. This app has changed my life. All I have to do is scan a barcode and it immediately tells me if it high, moderate, or low in histamine then even highlights the specific ingredients (if there are any) that are high in histamine! It saves soooo much time! It is WORTH👏🏻THE👏🏻MONEY👏🏻 to buy the fig+ version. I’m also pumped for them to add more foods from restaurants as well. I also suggested this app to my mother with who has IBS and sister who has Celiacs. Trust me and download the app! I promise you will be happy you did.

Most Amazing
My daughter had mention this app to me and I am so very thankful that she did! I must eat a gluten free diet for health reasons and this app has made it so much easier for me! It even allows me to chose what stores I shop and gives GF options available that are similar to non GF products. Not all products even with reading the ingredients are clear to tell if they are GF and with using this app it has make things easier and saves me time!! It is so easy just to scan the bar codes or to even just look up the product. Thank you to whom ever created this app for ones that have allergies! 🙃

Great help for new to dietary restrictions!
This app is such a great idea! I wish I would have had something like this when my boys were first diagnosed with their food allergies. Reading labels can be so draining and confusing, especially at the beginning of your journey. This is such a helpful tool! It’s also great for family members who may not have as much experience. I hope they keep developing and making this app better and better. Definitely give it a try if you’re new to food restrictions! I love having it as a double check on myself even several years into this journey.

We feel seen!
I downloaded the app this morning after seeing a TikTok. My girlfriends diet is very good restrictive and I do all the cooking. Naturally, sometimes I screw up. She was diagnosed with IC last year and we have struggled to get her diet right for months. Reading the labels doesn’t always help, doctors almost never help, and it’s impossible to find any reliable information without carrying around a 60 page pamphlet. I was creating my account and saw IC listed as one of the possible diet options and immediately felt seen. I texted my girlfriend the second it came up and we’re ecstatic. Fig is a game changer.
