Good app. Only thing is scrolling down latest stories they stop after about 10. I have other Fox News apps from other cities and they allow you to scroll through multiple stories all the way to previous days. Still a good app. Haven’t had a tech problem with this app.

Notification doesn’t take you to the story

I get news notifications from USA TODAY, Huff Post, Hollywood Reporter, The Verge, to name a few, and those apps always take you directly to the story being notified, but not the Fox 32 app. It’s frustrating. Do they want you to watch a video of the story they’re notifying? Perhaps that’s it, however I’m used to being able to just read the story right away. Don’t have time for videos. Compared to the other news notifications applications, this one is disappointing.

Thank you for severe weather alerts …However I Do Not need an alarming alert notification when you’re telling me about current magnificent Chicago weather! Please change this within the app. Thanks

It’s ok

It will not allow you to replay the news. If you missed it and wanted to watching from the beginning, forget it. Also, when they say “ for more info go to our App, forget it. Try doing a search of the morning news topics like a cooking recipe or job search info and the search will give items that are 2-5 years old. Try to narrow it down by date and then you get NOTHING.

Best news app available

I was born and raised in Chicago and I recently retired after teaching for 33 years. My wife and I relocated to New Orleans Louisiana. I always like to know what’s going on in my hometown and I rely on FOX 32 Chicago to keep me well informed and updated with the latest news impacting our city and the state. Thanks Fox 32 Chicago!

Fox Chicago

This app is so much better than most. Not because of the app itself, but the fact that the staff refresh the news with frequency, even on weekends. Online news is worthless if it behaves like its newspaper predecessors. The web staff and producers deserve all the credit. Great job!

It works in a pinch

The app works and it really brings to light just how little news is reported. I say that because it shows the same commercials over and over and over again. To the point were I have to turn the app off because I just can't listen to the car credit center commercial or how many awards Chevy has won ever again!

So many ads

Garbage app they make a ton of money of rolling these worthless ads, I have good credit and I won’t be buying a car. This is why they have to make up news so we can get click baited and sold a bunch of crap.... “casinos can’t stop you from doing this simple trick to win” oh yeah? Just don’t play the videos and you’ll at least only get hit with a little wasted time. Pop ups? Lol my goodness. Loser news company. I suggest not even paying attention to ANY news.

Issues with adds from car credit center

App is good, but every time the 30 second ad comes on, from 6700, It takes a full 2 minutes to get to the video?

Chicago stories only

Please stop putting stories on your app that have no relation to Chicago whatsoever. If I want to know what’s happening in other states I’ll check national news. We have more than enough issues to report on in our own city. Oh and the burbs are not Chicago either 🙄. Finally, please don’t make it so obvious that everyone is off on the weekends. Your apps home page looks the same late Friday through early Monday 💤💤💤

Review of the app

Although the newscasters and the shows are awesome, the application itself for live tv needs a lot of work. It freezes all the time, sometimes the show will start then freeze and re-start again. Sometimes when you open the app it takes you to a commercial but not all the time. Once the show is on, it's awesome but these glitches need to be fixed.

This app needs work

This app is so spotty with live streaming that it's extremely frustrating not to mention it goes to a we'll be right back screen during commercial breaks but, often doesn't go back to streaming. Fix the problem and the app will be great. By the way, I would almost rather watch the commercials rather than a screen that says we'll be right back!

I like this Fox 33 app because it simply works. There are other news apps that have a lot off technical issues, and with this app I have had very few if any.

News review

The news is great, so much more than others report & awesome with current events but the constant interruptions with ads is horrible and some days are worse then others with the amount of ads that pop up!

No connection whatsoever of content with pop up

Fox32 is the worst for finding a headline that pops up. You tap the connection and there is no story. It connects to the live video that’s on commercial break. Guess the app is as bad as the whole Fox network when they want you to read a story and don’t have it. Lucky to get even a star, maybe a -5 stars would be better.

Good, concise local & national news with good pictures/ videos. Without the aggravating Rightist bias of Fox Cable News which is full of propaganda and lies. Keep up the quality reporting,WFLD!

Weather alerts very misleading

I use the app for weather information and alerts. The only alerts I want is for severe weather not something like “it is going to be warm today”. About ready to turn off alert notifications and start using a different tv channel app

Notifications don't take u to the story when u click them

Most need apps will take you to the story when you click the notification. This just opens Safari and tries to take u to the streaming news feed which is not what I'm looking for.

Great app

Fox chicago has some of the most un biased programming , it is will rounded , and great service to Chicago journalism and journalists. They cover variety of news and the coverage is above availability in the area of coverage.

So many repetitive stories

Would be a much better app if you didn’t see the same stories repeated as you scrolled down. Almost seems like they don’t have enough stories for the app so they list the same ones over.

Disappointing

I get notifications from this app but after clicking on the notification I am not taken to the article referenced in the notification. I am left at the home page and the notification article is nowhere to be seen. Duh!

No local streaming news

Suddenly the Chicago broadcast is no longer streaming, only Fox Live. I watch to mirror my local broadcast. Until this is fixed, I’m moving to a different station. Very disappointed!

Links never take you to where you want to go

Tired of clicking on an alert banner, only to be taken to the website and not being able to find anything having to do with the story. So frustrating.

Autosound Ads?!?!

Used this app several times a day until recently. They added ads with autosound. I get the ads, but having to listen an advertisement on my phone prevents me from being able to casually look at the app without bothering everyone around me.
