Free Beer and Hot Wings Show

Out of all the apps on GODS green earth this one must of been made on the 6th day, so she was able to rest with a smile on her face on the 7th. This is the only app on my phone, there is no need for another. I would highly recommend this to any age, gender, reptile, animal, alien, tree, mushroom, even politicians all agree that this is the perfect app. Or something like that anyway.

It works sometimes.

Like many of the other reviews, the show itself is wonderful and this app is the exact opposite. I am a visually impaired iPhone user that uses a built-in screen reading program known as voiceover. This app is 100% inaccessible using the screen reading program. I can't even click on a single button with my screen reader. This is the worst attempt at an app I have ever downloaded on my phone. If you are out of the listening area, your best bet is to listen on the website or the WGRD mobile app

The ads have gotten to the point that I can’t even close them to get to the show. You listen to a 1-2 minute commercial for something that I would never consider buying and then never get to the show. At least I can listen through the TuneIn App. If there isn’t going to be any improvement, might as well just pull it from the App Store.

App keeps crashing (despite having adequate cell reception or wifi). Sometimes the app will “play” but no audio will be coming through. Show needs to seriously consider a new platform or just make sure it is properly maintained and playing. It seems as if this app is an afterthought for the FBHW show.

Glitchy and the start up ads are annoying

This app is actually really really good. Every time I play the show it doesn’t crash or do anything and I love the access to the shows without having to listen to the radio. Love this app

Guessing the “Big Wigs” are tiny peckered penny pinchers

First off, I love the show. I have listened to the show for a number of years and have been a vip for most of that time. To start with the interface and functionality of this app is terrible. I drive and listen to the app while going in and out of service with my phone. So the instant I lose service, I lose the show. That would not be that big of a problem if every time service came back the show comes back. That does not happen. I almost always have to restart the app. Which brings me to the ads. Almost every time you start the app, you have to watch an ad. Now I know you use the ads as a way to pay for the app and the show, and I understand that. But I am already paying for the vip service and I am spending money streaming the show with my phone data. So I am basically paying two times to watch an ad. Because I drive in and out of service, this can happen a few times just in one segment. Please fix the way this app works and reevaluate the way paying customers can listen to the show. I know the easy response would be to listen to the radio but the garbage station I have offered to me (banana 101.5) has terrible range.

I actually listen to the show. Have been for over a decade. Love it. Hate the app. Not worth any time. It’s free so I say time. The app definitely works. If you want to set an alarm for some reason. Or maybe you want local weather. But the FB&HW app doesn’t play the show. It’s crashing all the time. All the time. Will constantly load saying “unknown network”. This is on or off WIFI and after many restarts. I came to find out this is what happens when you don’t know how to manage your app. Which is the shows fault. Just a shame. If needed. Use the website and play from there. Don’t waste the space on the phone for another weather/alarm app.

Simply doesn’t play the show about a third of the time. Every time you pull the app up, you are forced to listen to an ad, then required to close the ad to get to the show. Recently you have to close the ad, then the ad requires an explanation as to why you want to close it. The show is very funny and isn’t aired in my area any longer. This was my only way to keep up and it’s so much a hassle that I’m just going to delete it. I hope it comes back to my area OTA, but for now I need to find another show. This app is just that bad. I’m guessing someone with the show owns it. There’s no way anyone would pay a third party for a product like this.

I use the app everyday to listen to the show on my iPhone and I’m glad I am able to do so, however this app is so aggravating it crashes a lot, and it constantly send you to the App Store for random apps, but the most aggravating thing of all is that as long as it’s connected to my Bluetooth it will automatically start playing the app for no reason after I get a phone call or send a message or if my Bluetooth reconnects. The app will be completely closed out and no longer in the background but still randomly starts playing the show. Please fix this problem!!

Love the show long time listener. The app needs some bugs fixed. I work second shift and love listening while at work but for the past couple of months the app is very unpredictable on wether it will connect or not, it always says no network available, but I’m up to date with software downloads and I have unlimited data so it should work but doesn’t. Again LOVE the show. Joe’s awesome!

So disappointed. I'm a hardcore fan of the show and have been trying to use this for the past year during my 2 hour commute. I have to restart the app as it crashes at least 10-15 times daily aside from the times I find I've lost the connection while being spammed by the app store. I need to close that out and reopen FBHW constantly. This app is too dangerous and annoying to use while driving so I've finally deleted it. I hope to live another day and listen another way!

I've been a VIP and faithful listener for about 7 years now, but sadly I had to move out of range of 97.9 WGRD. For awhile I was able to use this app to listen during the show, but now it's become so unreliable that I no longer even bother. While I can still listen to the podcast, I would prefer to listen while the show is actually on. So to everyone at AirKast I'd like to say that you should be ashamed of yourselves. You've been hired to perform a service for this show and all of its listeners and you've failed miserably.

First off, I am a huge fan of the show and have been a paying podcaster/VIP for 7 years. The app is the right idea, but not an intuitive or consistent design. Also, the video ad that plays before the app even opens makes me want to uninstall the app, not to mention the odd placement of the banner ad once you are in the app. At least make a VIP login that hides all ads.

This app is AWFUL. Very poorly designed and developed. You're logged in, you're not logged in, the live stream will just keep playing even if you start to stream past content, so you back out to pause the live stream and oops you're logged out again. Workflows are poorly thought out which is hard to believe since there are so few. This is a really great show, I listen all the time, it's a shame that paying listeners don't get a nicer experience.

This is probably the WORST app I've ever used. It crashes constantly, and you have to re-open the app to press play and listen to the same awful ad again before it continues playing. You basically have to leave the app open on your screen without locking your phone if you want it to play. On the bright side, I like that it loops the most recent show during the day. Fix the app.

I try and listen to the show in the morning and in the afternoon to hear the recorded show, but the app always crashes and I have to reopen it, happens about 3-4 times, then I eventually get frustrated and just stop trying. The app used to work for me but now it doesn't. Also the advertisement that plays when you open the app is in Spanish I do not know why, I live on the East Coast none of my settings on my iPhone are Spanish or anything. Weird.

I have an iPhone and my app still isn't working either. Have re-downloaded multiple times. Crashes all the time, says it won't load, sometimes it'll play two shows at the same time and the ads at the beginning are terrible! I can only listen to M&M's beat box so many times!!! Seriously guys, whatever update you did, just undo it!!! But absolutely love the show and listen every day at work! Make the show longer!!

Recently I have this app a 1 star review because for almost 2 weeks it failed to connect to the show. However shortly after leaving that review they appear to have fixed the problem.

This is a great upgrade from the previous app. There doesn't seem to be any perks for VIP's, but everything is conveniently available at the touch of a button. I can now be instantly insulted while communicating with the show without leaving the app. Wowzers!

This app is so much better than the old one! Although I am having a problem when I click on the icon for the website to pop up I don't get any of the video audio etc. It is just sit into a perpetual loop of loading..... Fix this and it is five stars!!!!

I've been a listener for a few months and just this week the only rock station in my area turned into 1 of about 10 country stations and free beer and hot wings went with it, this app is what I've been looking for

This app is glitchy and unreliable. It was always very buggy, but the past few weeks it’s been telling my I have no network connectivity. I’ve had more success listening to the show by opening a browser on my phone and going through a radio station’s website. I truly hope FBHW gets a more reliable app. This has definitely pared down my listening time.

Definitely a huge step up from the previous version. Only thing is it would be great to see some old episodes on the app like iHeartradio used to have for this show.

Long time listener, love the show BUT its pretty impossible to fully enjoy to the show when this app crashes every few minutes and you have to restart it, watch an ad, and then restart the broadcast. So frustrating. Let’s spend a few extra bucks and get a new app because this one is TERRIBLE

Don't use this or any Aircast radio app. After listening for a few minutes you get a message saying virus detected on iPhone. Something is coming through the adds and there are a ton of them. Anyway they don't seem to care about fixing this so deleted all of Aircast. Really though this is what they do and they don't care to fix it? The apps are kinda add heavy anyway. Why Apple lets this joke company on here is beyond me.

The app Always has problems and error messages and connection issues. I currently haven’t been able to listen for two weeks because it says can’t connect to servers check network connection. It doesn’t work with mobile data or Wi-Fi at home. I have tried everything and just give up at this point.

I have been a VIP member of the FBHW show since 2009 and this app is just terrible. All of the ads are ridiculous. $50 a year should buy you an ad free app experience. Also there isn't any VIP login through the app. And I can't find the podcasts to download directly through the app. Who designed this app? My four year old could have done a better job.

When they put a video ad on and there is no "skip" and I watch the whole thing, it stays at the end if the video and never moves on. I have to clear it out and go back in and it does it again. I have to keep doing this until it doesn't play the video any more. Some ads take over the page and I can't get through to play the app!

For some reason, some days when I lock the screen or open another app I lose the show, but other days it works fine. Then I have to listen to the same Spanish Verizon commercial every time my phone automatically locks and I have to open it back up. It would be awesome if that could be fixed.

I know you guys would prefer a hate review but unforntunately I can't write one at the moment. I love the app all I can say is if you are a fan and not a neanderthal download this and VIP for a megar 5.95.

Love the show, try to listen every day. Try. App constantly closes, opens the App Store, replays the same Ad, will play 2 shows at once or says it's playing but there is no sound. It was better for a little bit with not playing as many ads, or at least video ones. And it's been like this for quite a while. Just update it.

Is working much better now as far as connection

This app is terrible. The show itself is great but if you listen to it on the app you are constantly brought to the store or browser due to their ads. When you do the app stops playing. Restarting the app again it happens again almost immediately. They need to fix it so their ads don’t shut down the app

This app blows. From it being totally mercurial, sometimes functioning to other times not even working, to the ridiculous placement of important working parts, ie the volume, it is by far the very worst streaming app I’ve ever used. If I didn’t love these guys and their show, there’s absolutely NO way I would use it. Awful.

The problems I encounter are: 1. Sometimes it won't play the current day's show and replays the previous day's. 2. On some days it won't play the full show. Just plays the same 2-3 segments over and over. 3. It NEVER begins playing at the beginning of the show. Always somewhere in the middle. 4. The "pause" button is essentially a mute button. When you pause the audio stops, but when you resume it's not where you left off. I'd greatly appreciate these being fixed. Big fan/leftover in VA (also a squeaker when it comes to money and can't rectify dishing for VIP).

I've been patient being a huge lover of the show a VIP member for years, and it was well worth the wait. App is exactly what I was looking for. Meets all my requirements.

It's great I work and a lot of the time I'm out walking and miss the show this lets me listen and catch up on what I miss love you guys

This app will test your will not to set your phone on fire. The long winded adds they play always work, but when that is over you soon come to find out the show won't play! Worst part is the little pop up message says that it's your network connection. Fix it

Works great, love having a new(better) option to stream the morning show and listen to these idiots.

Love the show I try and listen everyday. However, this app likes to play two different shows at once after their first 1hr. Making it difficult to understand what’s going on and less enjoyable.

This so much better then crappy old app.

I love listening to the show. I love that I found access to the show through the app (where I live the show doesn’t exist) The app crashes every time I try to do anything besides opening it up. Studio if you can... please fix this!

When I watch the show live, the screen freezes within minutes and I have to exit full screen to reload the page. The same thing happens through safari watching the show on either of my apple devices.

I like that they have an app now, but I wish they made it a little easier to view posted videos. Either way cool.

Need to change the title to "Always Crashes Unless An Ad Is Playing". Old app was fine for ios - this one is not. Show stops and crashes for no reason and when it does run it loops in the same 1 or 2 segments all day. First Zane, now the app...Show is going in the wrong direction...
