I use it in the mode that replicates the physical newspaper, but when you click on an article it presents it on the right side as a continuous column even when the article stretches over 2 pages. Very useful
It’s very impressive that our local newspaper, as part of its group of publications, has developed one of the better apps out there….long live local journalism.
This app does its job in making e-news readable. It occasionally puts in unneeded spaces between letters and odd section breaks when moving article to the next page. I wish it could enable live links and the ability to highlight and copy parts of text. Otherwise it's pretty good.
My wife has family from Gloucester and we have always loved the area. It is great to be able to be connected to the area! Thank you for a great source of local info.
Love the app - when it’s up to date - but here’s the problem:
For the past couple of weeks, the app shows the prior day’s paper instead of the current edition. Sometimes it’s after noon before I can actually read the paper. I called the GDT about this but had to leave a voice mail and no one has responded.
App probably needs to be updated to support latest OS. Crashes about 50% of the time, closing app completely will occasionally solve the issue. App also does not always remember login credentials and the integration with the website is poor. Lots of back and forth. Still, great way to keep up on Gloucester when it's working! And sure beats collecting all that newspaper. :)
