I rate it a four. The reason I didn’t rate it a five is because all I hear is Democrat good , Republican bad. So tired of hearing that constantly. If they could just get a couple of days a week where it is less of your side and looking at it in a neutral position. I am a dire hearted Republican but I don’t shove it down your throat. GMA is a news show and not a this is what I think! HELP! My husband has gotten where he tells me to turn the station!

Definitely 5 of 5 (Updated from “4 of 5”)

Generally, I’d consider G.M.A. News good in terms of covering Philippine. The (then-)missing star is due to technical reasons: The app (new v.4.0.0, 4.0.1, and the latest so far 4.1.0) crashes without fail while loading on my iOS 15.4.1 on iPhone 7 Plus. The 1st & last time it worked was just after upgrading to v.4.0, allowing me to configure settings on what sections’ articles to display. Then, it crashed… and continues to crash hence forth, just after displaying the newly-overhauled branded signboard (which looks awesome, by the way!). A pity! I’ve been excited to see how the new app looks new, but am stuck looking at the still-the-same website for PH news. Hopefully, it can be fixed, so I can add the missing star. Update: Sorry, nope. The app still crashes with the latest release (v.4.2.0). The next one, I hope? New Update: The v.4.2.1 works! ᜀᜅ͓ ᜄᜈ͓ᜇ (“Ang ganda”)! The layout looks awesome! Thanks to all the G.M.A. crew!

Radio Cover and Blue Hi lites

I would like to hear more live radio not just in the morning but during lunch and evening time. Yes, I also agree that the blue highlight links are unreadable and annoying. Overall, I am happy we have this app but definitely can be refined. Salamuch ng marami.

I am looking for a certain answer on a news. I got to the site at the end of the article you have click a button that say continue reading on gma news. Once click it never loads. I open the same article in the app, same. You will click a button that says continue on gma news but then again it never loads up. Just maintain a site or the app. This app is rubbish!!!

Very few relevant news

This is one of the lousiest news outlets that I have ever seen. Stop printing irrelevant news and streamline your front page because it looks like a scrap book that was designed by a teenager. Also, who cares about aswang or maligno. Come on, we are on the 21st century and no one believes that crap. Stick with the news and separate the celebrity news which are mostly gossip and give it a different page.

NO IMPROVEMENTS AT ALL

For a while this app was the best there is in Philippine news and information. Then ABS CBN came in and now i see it as the best at the moment. GMA took it for granted that they were good. Now, this app falls way behind in graphics , headline updates, features and overall presentation. GMA had the ball, and they fumbled and ABS CBN has it.

Still Crashing

Dear GMA News online app developers, this is my third review on the same issue. The app fails to launch every time. The old version worked just fine on my phone, the fact that the updated version crashes could only be due to the app itself. Please fix this

News evening time

I find it very inappropriate for the news that shows obnoxious scenes specially during the evening meal. However finding news about happenings in the country is appreciated.

Crashing

I had to delete this app due to constant crashing. It never opens on my iPhone, even though I tried to reinstall the app, restart my iPhone and also have the latest version of the software for my iPhone and for the app. Kind of disappointing.

Works like it should

The only problem I have with this app is that most (if not all) of the time the author's name is not credited in the news. There would be some articles where the end would say 'the author is a regular correspondent for so and so' but there would be no indication of who wrote it. Teensy issue regarding the layout maybe it could have the article's accompanying picture be the one you click alongside the captions. Might be a good idea to look at the apps for the other major international news organizations. Also of possible please add videos in a future update.

GMA News App Keeps Crashing

I deleted the app and downloaded it from the App Store several times and the app keeps crashing. I did a soft reboot of the iPad and downloaded the app again but the app keeps crashing. Maybe this app needs another update to fix this problem.

Investigative Reporting

How come there are no follow up reports on people ( esp. gov’t. officials & military men ) involved ( accused ) of certain crimes ? There should be a progress report as to what is going on with the case. Have they been found guilty or not ? And the consequence or punishment?

This GMA News app is a big big win!

Whew! Saw a video of the updated app on Kape at Balita. It has new features and new videos page that features the videos of news items from the GMA 7 and News TV newscasts, plus excerpts from GMA Public Affairs shows. However, I suggest adding videos from GMA's regional newscasts like Testigo, Balitang Amianan, Balitang Ilokano, Baretang Bikol, Balitang Bisdak, Ratsada, and Testigo Northern Mindanao, so that viewers who come from places other than Manila will also see videos from these regional newscasts wherever they go. Anyway, this is a sure-fire app that will make every Kapuso viewer go abreast with the latest news and information from the Kapuso Network!

The better news portal in the PH

So far, I find GMA News' portal to be more reliable as far as uptime and news refreshment is concerned. Certainly better than Inquirer where they bombard you with floating ads that not only work properly but freezes all the time. ABS-CBN is just outright useless. Can't get it to load faster than it does.

Nice but...

Could be good but it's incomplete. The app has limited sharing - it doesn't give you the option to open in safari or copy the link - the view in web needs to be embedded in the page and should be in the beginning not the end. There are no links to other apps on the iPhone sharing menu. Plus, not all the links are accurate and brings you to the wrong story.

Credible bugs

I like the app and the idea but there is something that has bothered me for a while. It bugs out whenever I try to open the window with in 10 seconds, I am using the latest version and also an older version of the IOS. It still bugs out even though I reset my phone and app. I would recommend this but if the bug hasn't been fixed, then I would not recommend downloading this.

It's a nice application, but most of the time i'm having trouble opening it freezes on me with my iphone and ipad. I have to delete and reinstall it. Lately i noticed that when you are in headline and you want to switch to latest video, it won't switch and stays in headline, sometimes it's frustrating.
