Good, but could use some improvements
There’s a lot to like about this app. It teaches you to start small with building habits, and I find the daily coaching and lessons it offers helpful. However, the lessons are audio only, which is hard if, like me, you learn best with some visual text component. It wouldn’t kill them to have transcripts of the lessons available. I think it might be even better if they offered the lessons as some kind of interactive text. The other problem is that if you pause a lesson to flip to another screen on your phone, when you open it up again, you’re right back at the beginning. The app doesn’t save your place.

Rip off
Unfortunately this app isn’t as customizable as they lead you to believe. It may still work for you however if your habits closely align with their set (but “customized”) program, such as fasting and drinking water in the morning—just an example as these are both solid choices for some folks and yes I have been doing the water one. If you have been around the incremental habit community or any kind of self help, meditation, workout or nutrition apps or programs, the informational articles and audio they provide will not necessarily contain anything new. They are decent reminders but I found myself skimming and checking them off because there wasn’t a lot of value there for me. If you are new to this, however, you may see some benefit. A free trial would have been great—I upgraded to premium and then 3 days later they offered a “do a habit for 21 days and get a full refund” challenge that excludes those of us who already signed up. When I reached out they just reiterated new people only. So, I would say try another app first unless you can get a free trial here. Won’t be renewing after the year is up.

App is good for people trying to establish - account management is a nightmare
I really do see this app as being great for an individual’s in need of some guidance on developing consistency in habit and self-investment. It just wasn’t my forte. My biggest concern is that I canceled my subscription a year ago, but was just charged for it!?! I didn’t even receive any emails or other notifications I was being charged. In my third party payment provider the company that owns Greatness, Joggo, etc. Kilo Research - just billed me $66. No indication whatsoever. Now I’m haggling with the company via email (which I had to dig to find), as there’s no profile/account button in the app (that I had to just download again to see if I could check my cancelation from a year ago). These business practices are not ethical. Consumers should have access to their account to see their subscription status, and before a major corporation takes money out of someone’s account they should receive notice. Very unethical. Just worried about people who aren’t watching their transaction histories as closely as I do.

Not the app I thought it would be
READ THE FINE PRINT WORH THIS APP. After seeing this app add almost daily I purchase it for $66 for a year. I was hesitant because most of the apps I subscribe too have a monthly. I tried using this app multiple times but it was clunky, didn’t always work as it was described & send way too many notifications. I forgot about the app & my mistake did not cancel the subscription. Fast forward a year, I was contacted by my bank for fraud activity. I did not recognize the vendor in question (greatness was not in the name) so I declined the payment. Immediately cancelled my card & PayPal account. Only after filling the fraud claim with my bank did I find out it was the renewal for the Greatness App. Greatness App felt I should pay the renewal fee & suggested my bank decline my claim. I have since cancelled the app & am paying for a year of the not so great app. After doing some research, this is typical of the company. Locating the verbiage of the renewal is not easy to find but the company has it at their fingertips when you ask for a refund.

ADHD friendly
I’ve only been using the app since Yesterday, and I can already tell that it’s going to work. The free version is really good. But I wish I could use it to its full potential. The only reason I don’t use the full version is simply because I’m on a fixed income, and can’t afford subscriptions or hefty up front costs. It would be nice if there was a way for those of us on a fixed income to be able to get the full version for free. I feel it could help a lot of people if that was the case. By the way, thank you for making this app accessible to the Blind. It helps more than you know. Take it from someone who knows. Keep up the good work, and have a good day wherever you are in the world. ☺️

Thought I’d love it but it’s too clunky/OTT
So hard to just tick off the tasks you’ve done and get on with it. As others have said, there’s just too much going on here, too many screens and messages popping up. I like the idea of different programs to follow, I just really despise how overly complicated it is to check things off as you do them. After a month I find myself forgetting to use this and when I do, it’s a massive ball ache to go back and check previous days’ items that it’s just not worth it. Wish I hadn’t purchased. I would not recommend this, even though it’s the only app I’ve seen that gives background info on creating habits. They need a design overhaul to make that info less intrusive and make the actual check off of tasks throughout the day one clear, easy to navigate screen. Very strange layout and interface, and buggy as all get out.

Pretty but lackluster
I did the free trial but couldn’t finish the class because…paywall. This is the Fabulous all over, with different graphics and less value. The habits can’t just simply be marked without a bunch of screens telling you how great you’re doing. It’s the same screens every time and you can’t stop it. I don’t like platitudes and this feels disingenuous. You can’t I mark if you do accidentally hit completion, and it’s overall clunky. There are fewer classes when compared to the Fabulous, as well. Seriously, if you want an app like this that gives you a month to feel it out, go with the Fabulous. There’s no monthly option to really feel it out so I feel like it’s a bait and switch. I already requested a refund but Apple says it’s not eligible. I am completely disappointed and I will actually rescind my recommendations to the people I did tell to try it out.

Great concept but terrible user experience
Just got a paid subscription 2 weeks ago. When it works, it is awesome 👏. Unfortunately, I am experiencing navigation glitches every single day. I am stuck on screens and there is no way to get out 😟. You have to wait for hours, or sometimes the whole day for it to come back to life. 1. Played the morning stretch routine video. After that no way out, happened twice (tried twice, so now feel like I should not try again) 2. When you open the app, sometimes it shows you yesterday status and you have to manually go to today from drop-down calendar. 3. There is no feedback button on the app. 4. Just now I got stuck at the continue button after finishing a routine. Still waiting to come out of it, yikes 😬. I am a developer myself and know we’re always eager or under pressure to ship out features that are untested, but this is not a great way to create products especially if you want to be in for the long run 🏃‍♀️. I would always like a product that is robust and has less bells and whistles than too many features at the expense of basic functionality issues. Hope these can be fixed soon, or I’ll be asking for cancellation and looking somewhere else. Cheers!

DO NOT download this app
Got the Greatness App because of an Instagram ad. After paying for a subscription, two things happened. First, it was immediately obvious that the app is extremely confusing, difficult to use, disorganized, sloppy, and poorly designed. Second, I discovered that there were MANY reports of fraudulent billing practices from other Greatness App customers. This included unauthorized charges, charges much higher than they should be, refusal to refund, no response to emails, etc. I immediately contacted the Greatness App for a refund. However they refuse to refund the purchase, saying “as an exception, I would like to offer you a 50% discount for the latest charge since your satisfaction is our team's highest priority.” This app is happily scamming people even when users try to hold them accountable, and doesn’t care one bit about customers. Or, quiet frankly, ethical behavior. Stay far away.

Great marketing, ok content, poor engineering execution
I’ve been using greatness for a few months now and credit it with helping me establish a good morning and evening routine. I was inspired by some of the content, but have found the daily coaching to be hit or miss. That said, _basic_ app features are often broken - like being able to check off a habit, see accurate habit history, and having push notifications match content. Whatever data model they're using is just not solid, and the core functionality suffers. There’s also no undo, and the UI is often broken too. It’s surprising given the otherwise polished look of the app. Customer service is good, likely overwhelmed by repeat bug reports, and I just hope they get their engineering house in order.

I’ve read the one star reviews
This app, yes could use improvements, but the philosophy behind the reasoning for elementary beginning is because you need to take the time, the steps, and then the, shall I say wear with all, approach to build these skills to achieve greatness. It’s a beautiful way to gracefully find your route problems if you take the time to see them. I want to work for this company because I see the advance thought process and pure inspiration.

If you sign up from social media, it won’t count on the app
I stupidly paid $66 from the Instagram link because they advertised it as “The best deal.” I go to download the app from the payment confirmation page, and it makes me take the questionnaire again. Okay, no big deal. So I get to the part where you enter your email, and it says “account already exists.” But I can’t go back to log in again, the back button won’t work. So I’m stuck using the free version with prompts to upgrade. Mind you, the upgrade price on the app is only $44 for a year. So why did I have to pay $66 for the “greatest value”??! I’m not even five minutes into dealing with this app and am already seriously regretting it. I’ve emailed both emails related to this app asking for an immediate refund. If that doesn’t work, I’ll dispute via PayPal. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THIS APP!

Horrendous UX
Please have an option to dismiss your insane number of pop ups. It was completely unclear that you need to actually start a pre-set program to see any navigation options. That onboarding experience was probably the worst I’ve ever seen, between the underlying screens zipping around and being so dark you didn’t get any sense of context for the feature you are trying to teach me how to use, there being no way to dismiss any of the screens, and forcing me to click on things to watch before I have even seen the homepage. People like to get oriented to a new product before they’re ready to consume content. Literally any amount of user research should have caught this. Pretty enough UI, absolutely terrible UX. I’m generally pretty calm, but this filled me with so much rage I immediately deleted the app.

I wanted to love it
There are so many great things about this app. I love the courses and I truly believe this can help you create healthy habits. There are a lot of glitches—many times I was stuck in the intermittent fasting section. I would complete one section of a course and try to move onto the next section the next morning and was told that I could only complete one section per day (which is what I was trying to do). The same coaching session would show up two days in a row. Many great features, but overall slightly annoying to use. Tried a one week free trial, but don’t feel this is currently worth $50.

Refund challenge is a scam
Downloaded and registered for the app after being inundated with social media ads promoting a “refund challenge” entitling users to a full refund for their subscription after using the apps for 21 days. There is no documentation of this offer on their website or seemingly anywhere but the social media campaign. However, the terms and conditions in their app and on the website state unequivocally that refunds are only available 1.) within 14 days of purchase, 2.) only if the product is either not as described or faulty, and 3.) the user will lose access to the product once/if a refund is issued. All three of these conditions entirely contradict what is promised by the social media campaign.

ok app
UPDATED: I did finally get my refund. Not overly impressed by the app - it was more of a task for me than really a motivator. I signed up for the app, excited about their claim to be so committed to customers’ success that they promised to reimburse me for the full purchase price if 3+ habits were kept for 21+ days. “Simply send an email and we’ll reimburse you right away!” they claimed. I’ve sent two emails 5 days ago to the designated address, received nothing back from one, and heard that “my concern requires assistance from a senior specialist” and then nothing since. Disappointing that their word doesn’t seem to be good…

Great!
Just from the beginning I like how thorough this app is. It goes into greater detail than most fitness/health apps with information how you can form a habit. It has podcasts that are inspirational and understandable. It has a variety of attainable goals that feed everyone’s needs. I’m excited to utilize this every day! The only downside is the purchasing portion states it’s $5 per month for 12 months but you pay the total cost upfront so keep that in mind before paying!

Not helpful
I tried this all for a week and it was not helpful. It doesn’t look nice, the habit tracking is clunky, and if you make a mistake tracking a habit there’s no intuitive way to fix that. I found using this app to be frustrating and cumbersome—definitely not something I want to add to my daily routine! Plus if you want to do the “21-day challenge”, be ready for them to continually say that your tracking didn’t actually happen in the app. It seems you have to track your habits exactly within their certain chosen timeframe in order for it to “count” toward the challenge. Talk about adding frustration onto an already annoying app!

Has potential but still needs work
Overall, there is some great content and I like the layout of the programs. However, there seems to be some bugs and glitches that need to be worked through. For some reason, my completed habits show for the previous day and not for the current day, even though I’m on the correct date. Another issue is when it’s time to add a new habit in a program, it will repeat the process to pledge to the habit for multiple days. Just a couple issues I’ve noticed that are a little annoying.

This app is great for learning more about how to improve my habits. I would rate 5 stars if I could listen instead of read lessons. I don’t have much time to sit and read but can listen and absorb material while doing tasks.

Needs some changes
First of all, the sound does not work on some of the video courses, which is really irritating. I started the yoga course but couldn’t complete it because there is no sound on those videos. This app has some good information, but the layout and way it is presented is cumbersome. I have not been using the habit tracker function because you have to tap in 3 places to mark a habit complete. When doing multiple habits it becomes really annoying. First you click that you did it, then you have to press ‘complete’ and then ‘continue.’ Their own advice on the app is to make things easy to complete but tapping 3 times feels like a lot🙃. Wish it was just once or twice like other habit tracker apps. I would not consider renewing my subscription at this point and I regret the purchase. I feel like for a paid app it should have less bugs.

Super super buggy and they get mad when you report it.
It’s a great concept but it’s really buggy. Right now it’s not marking off completed habits - saying when you tap to complete them that they are completed but showing as incomplete on the home page. ETA - was contacted after my review to say they were aware of the issue and fixing it ‘today.’ Several days later the bug is still happening. So I guess it didn’t get fixed? Not sure. Oh well. Like I said - Great idea. Poor execution. ETA again - since I reported that the problem is still occurring I’m getting logged at. Multiple times now.

Big regret
Major red flag that they didn’t have a free trial. I should have known, if they don’t have confidence in their own product.. I shouldn’t have trusted it would work. $66 down the drain as they offer no refunds (another sign they don’t have confidence in their product) This app is stressful. It is confusing and complicated and it is not helpful. I feel more discouraging having the app than I did before. I should have read the reviews. I downloaded Fabulous and I am already so happy with it. Plus they offer a free trial - so they know the product they have WILL better our lives. And they stand by it.

Unhelpful content (IMO) and Shady Customer Service!!!
I wanted to love this app when I tried it last year, but I did not find it to be helpful at all. Oh well… It happens. However, I was shocked to see that the Greatness team just charged my credit card to renew my subscription for another year without any prior notification that it would be renewed. And the subscription was not listed among my other app subscriptions in my Apple account either. Very weird. I brought this issue to the attention of their customer service, who pretty much said that there is “nothing we can do to reverse the pending charge” for an app I cancelled the subscription for and have no intention of using moving forward. It’s clear to me that the lack of notification is intentional on their end, which is unfortunate. I have never subscribed to another app that engages in this practice. This is the opposite of “greatness!”

Do not forget to cancel your subscription
Read the fine print of the terms of service. I subscribed last year, deleted the app because it didn’t work for me and was surprised today to be charged $66 for a renewal. According to two customer service reps, they will not provide a refund because in their terms of service they require cancellation at least 48 hours before the renewal period. There is no email reminder to notify you that the renewal is coming up, so this feels like theft. Too bad you forgot, $66 penalty. I will not be using any kilo health products again.

Promising but falls flat
I wanted to like this app. I loved the start of it. I love how much effort they put into getting you to stick to things and I’m appreciative of the trial. But after that it’s just frustrating and annoying. I just want to click my habit is done not go through a fake congrats each time. And after the first few habits it just started getting more confusing and not intuitive. Hopefully they sort it out and it becomes something because I see the potential. But not yet.

good, still needs improvements
I really like this app, it’s helping me establish a routine but it’s really annoying that one can’t change one’s response (if you hit complete by accident, or skip by accident—or you skip a task but later complete it) & since updating I’ve also found that the app is newly buggy. It’s frequently marking tasks as skipped before I’ve had a chance to complete them—& I can’t edit the response.

A complete waste of money
One of the least intuitive & user friendly apps I have ever used. Heaven forbid you accidentally mark a habit as completed or skipped when it’s hasn’t been there is NO way to exit it, and good luck want to restart a program/course that you skimmed through to get an idea of the app, or want to easily use even the most basic functions of the app. You will spend more time trying to navigate or accurately track your progress than completing the habit your working toward. Do not spend your money on this.

Don’t buy
This is the same thing as the Fabulous app except this one cost three times as much and does not offer a free trial. So if you don’t like it, you don’t get a refund. Terrible customer service and scam artists just taking money from people. False advertisement on social media stating they take into account your meyers Briggs results. They do not do this. If you want an app like this, try Fabulous. It didn’t work for me but at least they have a trial so you can figure out if it will work for you before forking over money. This company should be ashamed of themselves.

1 HUGE FLAW!!!! Dropped to 1 star
I enjoyed the app throughly. I used it for weeks throughout the day. I even deleted similar apps to just use Greatness. But if you accidentally swipe an item wrong, as “skipped” or “completed”, then it is impossible to go back and correct the error!!!!!!! This is absurd. I am going to return to another similar app that is user friendly. My track record of completed items gets ruined and I have to start all over because I inadvertently swiped for a second in the wrong direction with no way to undo it!?!?!?!?!

Incredibly confusing
I think this app could be great, but as it is, it’s incredibly hard to understand. What am I actually supposed to complete today? Why is this habit multiple times per day but this is once per day? Why is this habit still showing up as needing to be completed but when I mark it complete it tells me I’ve marked it on a “past day?” Why can’t I change the times of my morning and evening routines once I set them, since life changes? You get the idea.

Can’t mark previous days complete
It’s very frustrating that you can’t mark previous days as complete. Even if I pick a previous date to check off, it only updates today’s date. This affects my stats for number of days completed and is discouraging. (Also, this seems almost exactly like the Fabulous app. I enjoyed that app while I used it, but went looking for a new one that spent less time on the psychology.)

Don’t bother—ads are misleading.
The ads give the impression you take a quiz and it sets up habits that you can modify. However, the only habit it starts you with is a glass of water in the am. Other than that, you have to manually add other habits and go through a “pledge” prompt for every single one. Ridiculously time-consuming and an overwhelming amount of steps just to set up a basic schedule for yourself. I’m going to use it for awhile to try to get my money’s worth, but be warned: this app is garbage.

Had potential
Sticking with it so far, good content, but for the love of UX, please left align blocks of UI text, it creates so much more cognitive load on users to not have a predictable left edge to move eyes to after reading a line. With a left edge it will be so much easier and faster to read. As of now I can only read a couple sections before it’s just too painful to continue.

Downloaded app. Paid $66 for membership. App didn’t work. Buggy and tons of error messages. Useless. Reached out to support. They just keep telling me to troubleshoot, like I work for them on their app development! Refusing to refund my money. So I paid $66 for an app that doesn’t work and then company is refusing to refund my membership, which is unusable. Fraudulent company. Illegal and immoral.

I just purchased this program for one year subscription. The content stopped while I was establishing a program. Not a good app
This app is patronizing and appears to give you the same results regardless of the “personalization” questions asked at the beginning. I know exactly what I want in a daily habits app and I just want to do that - not be presented by a ton of woo woo “mindfulness” or stuff that I didn’t ask for messing up my productivity app. I don’t need motivation or psychology. I need a clean UX minus all the bells and whistles that I will actually USE.

I signed up for this expecting a focused and personalized experience. I got a bunch of generic content thrown my way, an extremely convoluted interface, no trial period and in my first week of attempting to use, I received zero notifications from the app during my day. The ad I saw online references Myers-Briggs personality types which led me to expect some degree of personalization beyond the generic identification of a handful of general goals. This is snake oil.

You don’t get what you pay for
The concept behind the app is great. However, given the price—anywhere from $33 for three months to over $100 for a year, all paid up front—the courses, habits, and other features are very limited. There are frequent ads to upgrade. Over 4 habits, boom, you’ve hit that paywall and owe your first born. I won’t be renewing.

Beware of renewed Subscription charges
Unlike lost legitimate apps, which give you warning of upcoming subscription renewals, Greatness just goes ahead and charges your card, and you can’t get out of it. So if you try the app, make sure you write your end subscription date in huge letters on your calendar, and then you have to figure out how to cancel it for the future. Good luck with that.
