Fantastic

This app is great. I use it every while working on my Italian lessons. I especially like the dictionary lookup function. You only have to start typing the word and suggestions appear; that helps when you’re not quit sure about the spelling. I also like being able to select a word and getting the pronunciation and also being able to look up the word, and to get the conjugation for verbs. I’ve recommended it to my friends also studying Italian I’ve upgraded to the plus version, not only to get the additional features but also to say thanks fora great app.

Best Italian app!

I have used this app for years. I loved and use the free version so much that I paid for the full version. Initially, I had an issue with the paid version, but they promptly responded and fixed the glitch. I very rarely pay for apps, but this has been one of the best resources for learning Italian - especially the iPhone version.

Italian translator

This app is a great way to look up various words to get the Italian meaning and pronunciation . It is also a place to put in phases to get the correct translation. Since you can carry it with you it can help when you need to use a phrase in a store while traveling

Very usable app

This is a very useful and usable app. I like that I can go directly from an English word’s Italian equivalent to the Italian entry for that word, to compare how it translates back to English. That often reveals subtleties in the way a word represents slightly different concepts in the two languages. Most entries also include useful examples, and all are provided with native-speaker audio pronunciation.

Love it!

This has been my favorite app since Duolingo for my Italian studies. It’s so simple even with the useful updates I love all the changes they’re making and find the app perfectly convenient. Thank you so much. Now we can all enjoy the Italian language at ease!

Fast and Accurate

When reading an article and coming across a word I don’t know, this app is just great. Rather than flipping through pages of a paper dictionary, just type in the word and the translation is almost instant. Great app!

Good but update app listing

Works well, great for helping translate between English and Italian. Update the app listing so that the "In-App Purchases" options actually reflect what is offered. You can only purchase the "Pro" subscription now. There no longer is an option to purchase the Extended Dictionary, Phrase Book, or Verb Conjugator.

A great reference

I use this app everyday. I am learning Italian and I use this app constantly. It is a very simple to use dictionary and I love the ability to look up verb conjugations so easily. Definitely 5 stars I can’t imagine learning Italian without it.

Well-rounded Translation Aid

Good dictionary, good verb conjugations and useful phrases. Suggestion for change: make it possible to switch between dictionary and conjugation by clicking those choices WITHOUT clicking Cancel for the current mode.

Great app to have!

When I’m studying a language or traveling, I pay for this app. Can’t do without it! The free version is helpful, too, but the paid version is worth it if you are traveling or using the language.

Fun and educational

I love being able to speak to my Dad in his family’s language. He is 89 and loves reminiscing about his childhood. I can enter a word and this app translates it and provides a few other uses and describes what type it is- verb, noun etc.

Great help in communicating with friends in Italy

This app is very helpful to communicate with friends in Italy since I don’t speak Italian well and they don’t know much English. It translates sentences, speaks them for you, and allows you to look up words.

Fantastic Learning Tool

This App has been a wonderful aid as I learn Italian. It has virtually every word (rare that I look for a word and it’s not included in the dictionary) and I like the pronunciation option. Well worth the annual fee! Grazie Molto!

Translation and Meaning

The translator, dictionary, and verb tenses are indispensable. I love the way that examples of sentences using the vocabulary words are included to help one learn how to idiomatically use the language. Language must be learned in context.

Absolutely essential

I turn to this app constantly for fun and ‘serious’, needless to say the pronunciation feature is so life saving. I am of Sicilian heritage and also enjoy the comparison I do between Sicilian and Italian terms.

Not perfect, but pretty good

The translatorand dictionary always defaults to English input( for me), must always be aware what language I’m typing in. Wish it could detect language. No biggie. Helps me out when I’m having trouble adjusting my syntax in a literal translation.

Easy to use

Solid Italian dictionary app

This app is pretty good —I like that it includes the parts of speech and gives you lots of secondary definitions to cover all the bases of usage.

Lovin it!

Worth every penny. The translator works beautifully and the dictionary is robust. Love the pronunciator in Italian- she is very clear and natural sounding. Very happy with this app!
