interface no longer awful

The latest update of this app includes a long-overdue UI update which drastically improves the user experience. Prior to this update, the Gazette app was easily the worst app I still used daily. I value the local news this paper provides, and now it’s so much easier to see past the interface and see the content. Plus: no crashes since installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, and logging back in. Thanks to the coders who found a way to get the medium out of the way of the message.

Nice when it allows you in

When I select the Digital Edition, almost invariably it pops up a screen that says I don't have a paid subscription. I close that screen and it reloads the live news. I select the Digital Edition again and the same screen pops up again. When I close it, it usually loads the Digital Edition - but not always! This is a REALLY irritating bug/behavior. I wish it would be resolved! UPDATED JUNE 2019 Even after a software update, this continues to be a problem! 2nd time in the last 3 or 4 days. IS THERE A SERVER PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED????? I am not getting that which I have paid for!

Generally good

The app works pretty well. It sometimes fails to open the paper at all, and I wish it would open with a single click instead of the couple of steps that are required. But overall it’s reliable.

Love Reading This Way

I always thought I would prefer to read a print version, but I’ve come to like the app even more. It’s so easy to scroll through the latest edition or even past editions. I love that I can easily change the font size as well.

Makes reading the paper easy

I like being able to choose which day’s paper I want to read, as sometimes I miss a day, and want to read in order. It’s easy to navigate the articles, and I can zoom or diminish as I need to.

Where are the tech?

Day 2 and still black screen. Tried all the tricks and still no digital paper Took awhile for them to get new app working for ios14 iPad. Happy with results

At my fingertips

Since retirement, my great pleasure in the morning is coffee and the Kalamazoo Gazette on my iPad. All summer out on the deck, the rest of the year in my comfy recliner. But if somehow I miss the morning reading, the Gazette is always with me on my phone. Love it!

Easy access

Once I got my subscription figured out, the app made it easy to access and read.

Convenient. Except for Sunday and supplement magazine. Hard to read as it is not full screen.

The update broke my app

I took most recent update and now the digital newspaper version won’t load. Looking forward to the next update that fixes the problem.

The worst

I can't count how many times I've had to uninstall and reinstall this app. When I call for tech support the rep talks to me like I'm a moron. The issue is, apparently, that three app does not and will not recognize that I'm a paid subscriber and will not let me into the digital edition. There's no place to log in even. It's the worst.

It worked once

I’m very frustrated. The app worked fine until a month ago, but now the daily digital edition will not open. It’s been 9 month since the last update; what are the chances of a new update?

Don't update

Last update freezes my screen white when I try and open paper. Was my favorite app and used daily. Now it doesn't work.
