Too much emphasis on bells and whistles, without regard for functional layout and readability. A waste of finite bandwidth for reading the news. On the iPhone, only part of the headline of news items is displayed so I cant even discern the subject matter of an article. Lets admit that a news app should be a quick way to see current events, not a venue for someones coding prowress !
The ads are starting to use a lot of flickering jumpy icons which makes it very distracting to use the app. Please remove them. A small fee for a no app version would be fine. Or perhaps go back to simple text-only or static image apps
This app now is useless as the local newsfeed hasn't updated in over a month. I'd also like to mention this review wouldn't be quite so bad if I didn't have to reenter it every time you tell me the nickname is in use and close out before I can try a different one. Seriously it is useless. Too bad I used to like it before the July update
This might not be updating correctly last new story if from the 2nd. And it's the 5th today. I also did the update thinking that would fix. May not be updating story's anymore I'm not sure. But was very good until lately.
It was a reasonable app before the latest version. Though, stories were not often updated. Now with the latest version, opening any story crashes the app. Too bad
Since the recent updates my favorite local news app will not go into horizontal mode on my IPad. Seems to work ok on iPhone but is frustrating me to no end.
