Excellent Urgent Care

I highly recommend this Kyla Urgent Care facility. They are pleasant, efficient and run on time. The care was friendly and professional. They took us back at the time of our appointment which does not always happen. Should you ever need an Urgent Care facility, this is the one to go to.

Cool App

This app is interesting. I started using it for COVID testing but since then it has undergone updates. I use it now for my dr visits at Action and can follow my health on here. Makes it easier to track and manage my health.

🚩 privacy practices

This app is run by a new software company with no reputation that crosses boundaries between advertising and health data handling. The following are excerpts from their privacy policy: “We will share your protected health information with third party ‘business associates’” “ We may use or disclose your protected health information, as necessary, to provide you with information about treatment alternatives or other health-related benefits and services that may be of interest to you.” “ “Protected health information” is information about you, including demographic information, that may identify you that relates to your past, present or future physical or mental health condition and related health care services.” There are many other ways they list of sharing your data that require your advance, *written* disapproval to stop.

Too many questions

I installed the app for my follow up visit, but I didn’t even have a chance to try it as it started asking me a gazillion questions about my medical history even though I was in the office just a day before. Had to call their front desk instead. Thankfully the doctor managed to provide me a zoom link over email.

App generates random tests

The app was required for Covid test at action one urgent care. The nightmare started after using the app once. There were multiple tests submitted to the labs using my account. I called the clinic to identify who used my account or it might be hacked. But the clinic told me that it was the app generated various tests using my account. The app and account are deleted from my end and hope it fixes the problem.

Gross

Lifetime remaining?? Are you kidding me? So off putting to see that front and center. Wildly inappropriate feature. Was forced to download this to make a “walk-in appointment” and now am getting all sorts of spam emails from Kyla. Gross to have this app trying to milk as much health data as possible from me to train their AI or whatever. Hard pass.

Doesn’t work

Hands down worst app I have ever used. Half the time you get kicked off the app for no reason, it can never verify your insurance info and it freezes constantly.

Best COVID & Health App!

This is a great app! I had to get a COVID test for work & traveling & was recommended this app. It was super easy to set up an account, enter my insurance information & speak with a doctor to get my COVID test for FREE. Not only this they have so many facilities around the Bay Area it was very easy to get my test completed. The whole process took less than an hour including driving & getting my COVID test. My test results were even sent through the system within the timeframe the nurse had told me. The doctor was extremely nice, took the time to speak with me and put my anxieties at easy during my consultation. While on this app I also explored it’s other features related to diet, exercise & lifestyle. This is an amazing app that you allows you to access a doctor at the convenience of your house and because of the Kyla app we didn’t have to pay anything. I would highly recommend this app to anyone needing a COVID test or for someone looking for easy access to helpful information & doctors at a push of a button. I’ve used this app more than 5x and have nothing but positive experiences. Thank you!

Quick and easy COVID testing

It’s been very stressful with my kids going back to school and my husband going into the office. There have been many encounters with sick individuals. It’s been wonderful knowing Kyla is down the street from our home and work. The process is so easy and the results get sent to my phone the next day. I highly recommend them!

Change your approach

I have to say, I was excited to see a pop-up testing location in my neighborhood with their logo. so, I looked it up and downloaded the app. The lengthy sign-up process requires a lot of personal information upfront including a photo of your ID without clear explanation or establishment of trust. Okay. When you want to schedule a Covid test, you’re required to use a fake chat like interface that takes an incredibly annoying amount of time to complete which would’ve been a lot easier as a simple set of screens you can simply tap through. Any kind of information you enter in this will be completely lost if you exit out of the app. It also gets my location wrong, with no option to correct it, and it doesn’t show any of the locations that I literally saw in person today. After a waste of 15 minutes, I deleted the app. Folks, if you’re going to do conversational interfaces, they have to be flexible or you need fallbacks to account for failure cases. This app absolutely does not work in San Francisco, which should be a pretty easy place to test.

App is garbage. Zero customer support.

I found Kyla while searching online and thought it would be cool to do an at home test with quick turnaround. I received the test almost a week after I ordered it (ordered Friday, received the following Thursday) and sent it back on Saturday after testing Friday night. UPS told me it would have to be sent out Monday and Kyla would receive it Tuesday. So, I took the test on 1/7, sent it out on 1/8, and now it is 1/19 and I have zero results. Every time I go into the chat, I let them know I haven’t received my results and they say to hold because they’re connecting me to a nurse. Nothing happens after that and I can no longer write in the chat. I submitted a support request and am currently waiting for that response but I do not feel hopeful. I feel like just ordering antigen tests at home would be better.

App prevents access to healthcare

I was exposed to Covid and have tried for two days to schedule a Covid test at urgent care. The first time I was told I would need a consultation and nothing occurred after two hours. I opened a new case and was told to expect a consultation within 15-30 minutes. I never received anything further. I decided to schedule directly with my local urgent care and was sent back to the Kyla app. When I log in, I get a blank screen from multiple computers. (Yes I cleared my cache) There is no number to call or chat function with a live person. The only thing that will work is for me to pay out of pocket instead of going through insurance. Bottom line is they really just want me to pay for my test. Healthcare at its worst

The useless app for covid tests

tl;dr: If you downloaded this app to schedule a covid test appointment, do NOT waste your time. It seems like all the clinics around me will offer you a free covid test if you "download the Kyla app" to schedule an appointment. Sure. So I downloaded Kyla, created an account, inserted all of my information, only to be presented with a "chat" function that doesn't work! I've tried it so many different ways just to get this "automated" chat function to work and it never works. It'll ask me the same questions over and over again, it won't register my answers, and it's just going in circles. I don't have time for this! I'm just trying to get a test.

Great app!

Overall a very good app! I really like that there are different options for getting a Covid test quickly and for free. I’ll definitely keep using this app and will continue to explore its new features related to diet and exercise. The app really does a lot. It’s really nice to be able to get health advice without having to actually go see a doctor. Highly recommend!

Amazing customer service and support

I had to get COVID test for travel with my parents and the website I had booked test thru was not responsive. I contacted kyla via the app, Paul responded right away and helped me navigate and get my results in a timely manner. He was responsive, polite , efficient and kind! Amazing customer service! Thank you!

Amazing App!! Quick and Easy!

This app is just amazing, super awesome new way to keep track of my health. I get new “cards” each day to make sure I’m in the right path to live a longer, happier life! (Super helpful) And there’s a plus! Im one to not like doctor office’s but with the app I was able to chat regarding some medical concerns instantly and hassle free, with no trip anywhere! :)

Heaven sent

I have used it a dozen times over the past year. Started with a drive-through covid test for travel, then for school for kids, then for personal peace of mind. I used the doctor consult as well: fast and effective, one of the solutions to minimize disruptions in busy life. I appreciate it.

Terrible registration experience

- Can’t paste a password, so you can’t use a secure password manager without error-prone retyping. Also doesn’t work with the built-in iOS password support - For each dependent, you have to re-enter the same address, subscriber ID, and take a picture of the front and back of your insurance card, each time. I understand that it could be different, but at least ask if it’s the same and re-use it.

Love this app! HIGHLY recommend

Such and convenient app, use this for daily work clearance to be able to get cleared for work by inputting my symptoms. They even come to your house if needed. Definitely love the app and will continue to use.

Can’t do zero stars so here I am

I have never written a review for a company but this is so bad I had to. After submitting my health insurance info it says it can not be verified but asks to submit it to be verified by employees. I’m on day 7 of waiting to get a response. I have emailed support and got nothing. I’ve called and got no answer and told to email them. Does anyone actually work at this company? Do your job. I have had to pay out of pocket because of this horrible app.

One of my favorite Apps

I love that I can be educated in how to make the healthiest choices in order to maximize my life. Life is short and your time alive is precious. Not sure why this app hasn’t blown up either, it’s amazing and has been life changing for me.

A definite MUST HAVE!

It has given me such great tips on how to live a healthier and longer life! I had recently developed a cough & needed a quick relief before traveling. My primary care takes forever, but with a simple chat i was able to get treated & prescribed meds quick! Vacation here i come!!

Instant care !

No need to pay, was able to get a fast and free consult with a script! Pretty awesome ! My doctor didn’t have time to see me today and I was able to consult with a doctor on my time !Technology and medicine are on another level. Great service truly recommended

quick and accessible

I had a UTI but my primary was out of town and appointments usually take 2 hours. I chatted with the app and got a prescription within an hour. Feeling so much better now! So much faster to get help!

Useless app

Doesn't provide any new information. Joining the video call does not even work from the app. I had to use the zoom link provided in the email after waiting for several minutes for the app to try to connect. There is no way to follow up with the doctor after your call. And they don't provide any notes or follow up after your appointment. It is a waste of space on my device.

Awesome for fast care

Was in a bind and had a covid scare. Got my test and results in less than 2 hours since I went to the drive thru for testing.

very annoying to set up

I’ve been trying to add my daughter to sign her up for her covid test at school but I can’t unless i give picture of card. We are living in 2022 and don’t carry or keep insurance cards on us anymore. I have all the names and number to provide but not the physician card. How do I proceed forward. I tried to chat but that chat system is so pathetic!!

24-48 hours for Covid test results is a scam

We went there for a covid test as we saw the results would be delivered between 24-48 hours. It’s been 4 days and we still don’t have the results yet. Every time we call to check, we get the same response. The lab is uploading the results you should get it today. Has been happening for the last 3 days.

Functionality is as terrible as their service

I only have this app because work requires. It’s a pain to use, once you start a “task” you have to complete it before doing anything else, the system interrupts you when you’re trying to type a message. Overall one of the worst medical apps out there.

Do Not Use This Company

This is the most inefficient company. It operates like it is run by children. The staff that you speak to and the nurses and great but upper management ruins all the hard work the employees do. They have leaked employer PAYMENT information and patient information like dates of births, names, and test results. The CEO only cares about making sales. Many tests are lost and told they are inconclusive. Beware!

Non-starter

First, I’m in San Francisco, and the App says nearest location is in san jose, which is definitely not true. Then doesn’t process my insurance info and informs me the ‘free’ test will be $230. So actually it was never free, that’s completely misleading. Either you pay directly, or you pay for your insurance which pays for the test. Not free. Looking for other options now…

Worse than nothing

We’ve been waiting for the results for our mail in tests for a week and a half, which means they’re completely worthless now. I have submitted several support ticket inquiries and never received a response. If this app didn’t exist, I would have at least known to get a test elsewhere.

Can’t opt out of marketing

I just gave this app access to my medical history and photos of my drivers license and health insurance card but I can’t opt out of Kyla selling it all to its marketing partners. Chat functionality only robotically gathers more information. It was required by an employer as a covid symptom checker but turned out to be a vast overreach into my personal privacy. Avoid.

Update killed my session

Updated to latest version ( feb 3rd 2022) and it killed my existing session and asking me to relogin. please test the flow Like the app and kudos to the UX team for the cool interface

Took My $95, No Results

Absolutely no notification of my COVID test results. Not in email, not my phone, not through the app. I needed them for a flight. I finally found my negative results after manually scouring the app… a week after my flight. Never trusting this company again.

What a worthless, ridiculous system!

I just went to an Urgent Care, just do they could pass me off to this app. I’ve been on hold in this “15 minute” app for over an hour. Why would an Urgent Care pass me off to be ignored in this app? This is a pointless, ridiculous system!

Should be 0 Stars

Absolutely terrible app. Took over 45 minutes and multiple times of having to enter the same information just to set up a COVID test appointment. The whole reason I chose this test was because of the 24 hour results, but I never heard from them. Don’t waste your time with this company!!
