I was using duolingo before and just couldn't get into it because they don't genuinely teach you, they show you then expect you to blindly understand and follow. this app not only genuinely teaches you but walks you through every step, I went from only knowing ‘ciao’ to being able to count as high as i have time for in Italian and being perfectly able to hold a decent conversation in Italian with my friend from Milan, all in less than 2 months. Truly amazing app.

Good app, with one suggestion…

The ability to freely move around the app to different subjects, whether you want to focus on numbers, colors, vocabulary, etc, and then take quizzes on them is what makes this so good. What I think would make this better would be if you could either ‘table’ certain words or flag words that then create your own custom vocabulary list. The vocab lists are quite extensive for a free app, but some of the words are uncommon and might not be a priority to learn for someone who is just trying to brush up on essential words

Would be ideal if…

I love the simplicity of this app. It’s not complicated at all and gets right to the everyday subject you want to learn using both text and audio pronunciation. I also love the categories and their layout. This is unique among these apps. Because of the category/subject layout, it is begging for the addition of an immersive option which when selected would automatically play the content of the category. If the category “Alphabet or Numbers” were on auto, the student could just put in ear buds and listen over and over without having to press buttons for each word. Immersive! Most dictionary type apps want you enter a word to listen to the pronunciation. This one would stand apart with an auto play feature.

Great but

I absolutely loved this app I’ve made progress but the only thing is that the sound has never worked I’ve tried to use the physical sound button as well but it didn’t work. Also my device is a newer model so it shouldn’t have anything to do with the phone itself. But the app has made me more confident in my italian

Great app for learning many words

This is an app that for the one who simply wants words and nothing but words, you will get that along with quizzes. There are no real life images to help aid you visually or finger swipe games either. You listen to the English and Italian speakers and practice speaking after them. Simple enough.

I love this app

No audio

This worked fine until one day I opened the app and there is no audio. I turned my volume way up on my phone. I tried going out of the app, uninstalling and reinstalling, but still didn’t work. Please fix this. Otherwise it’s a really helpful app.

Problem with sound

Hello I downloaded the app and I have my volume as high as it does and I can barely hear anything. Please fix this problem. I have normal volume with all my other apps.

Great

It’s good. I like it. Everything is categorized, you get tests/quizzes, it’s good! To hear the voice, the phone can’t be on silent.

Horrble.

Made sure my sound was on, I deletes it and Re-instaled it but the sound wont work. I can't hear how to pronounce ANYTHING. I don't recommend this at all.
